12. Chapter 12 Eggman Strikes

Wow who would have thought I will come back and do another chapter of Dark Tails. This is my very first Fanfic i did back when I was in high School. But due to my lack of writing and don't know where this story is going, I cancelled the story... But i got a lot of PM, asking if this story going to continue or is this story dead?

I decided to Continue this Story from where its left off. I have to go back and read all the chapters to see where This story at, and where it left off.

But I am going to warned you... From this chapter and forward it's going to be a few changes... I will try my best to leave the characters intact and the plot of the story steady. But along the way I am going to change a lot of this story, just letting you know what is going to happen...

Anyway after 8 years in the last chapter updated, here it is Chapter 12 Eggman Strikes, I hope you enjoy and don't forget to leave a comment... Also, if there any error, spell checks, Grammers, and mistakes Please let me know so I can go back and fix it thank you.

Chapter 12 Eggman Strikes

*Explosion*

The noise is coming from outside. Sonic and his friends went outside and saw two Egg Carrier's hovering towards them… The Egg Carrier are few miles away from Sonic House.

"Its Dr. Eggman!" Sonic yelled.

"INCOMING!" Espeo warned everyone.

John acted quickly and threw his Bubble Shield on the field to create a big yellow shield that took all over everyone and Sonic House. The effect worked and John's Shield is protecting everyone.

"Quick thinking John." Sonic Comment him.

John nodded and picked up the Bubble shield after the Egg Carrier's finished their attacks.

"Don't get too comfortable. My Shield need to recharge so I can't use it again." Said John. "Best to act quickly."

"Don't worry, we got this." Sonic pointed at the two Egg Carrier and yelled out. "Let's go Team!"

With that everyone started running towards the two Egg Carrier. Tails looked at John and spoke. "Can you watch over Cosmo? I don't want her to be alone while we all deal with Dr. Eggman."

John nodded. "Ms. Cosmo will be on great care, young Master Tails."

Tails felt weird being called that. But he shook his head and ran to his Plane Tornado.

"Let see what you got, Dr. Eggman." John said to himself.

(Meanwhile)

"Dr. Eggman, Sonic and his team are heading our way." Said Bocoe

Bocoe nodded and a big screen appeared in front of Eggman. The screen lights up to see Sonic running ahead while the others try to catch up.

"Send out the first wave of Robots… Let's have a little fun." Said Eggman.

Bocoe nodded, he and another Robot called Decoe press a few buttons and realize an army of Robots to the Field.

(Back with Sonic)

Sonic is head of the team, but not too far away. Then he saw Eggman Robots coming from the Egg Carrier to the Ground. They are heading towards him.

"Alright, let's do this." Said Sonic full of confidence.

He spins dash the first two robots that look like Ladybugs but have wheels, then he jumps and destroys three other robots that look like bees.

It didn't take long before Knuckles came and punched two tall robots destroying it.

"You think, I will let you have all the fun?!" Knuckles joked as he destroys another bug-like robot.

"Nah, I was just wondering what took you so long." Sonic replied, while Spin Dashi two other Beedle-like robots, and quickly destroying it.

Just then Sonic and Knuckles are being fired by army of Egg Pawns. Some have Plasters, Shield with swords and some have nothing at all.

"Eggman is going all out." Said Knuckles.

"Nah, it's not a challenge. Sonic then looked up in the sky. "Going up to one of the Egg Carrier is the Challenge part."

Then Espeo ran to Pass them and threw a few Stars-like on few Egg Pawns, making contact and destroying it. Victor jumps over Sonic and Knuckles and opens his mouth to shoot out flames at other Egg Pawns.

Amy came and ran up to one of the Egg Pawns and swung her Poke-Poke Hammer to destroy it and followed up another swing to destroy another Egg pawn.

Charmy with Cream fly around and destroy all Bug-like flying Robots. Cream throws her Chao like a Vally Ball so hard towards the Bee-like robot, going through and destroying it. Cheese the Chao is unharmed and flies back to Cream.

"Babe, with me." Yelled out Charmy. Seeing that some robots such as Buzz Bomber, Bebular and Spinner are coming towards them.

"Okay Dear." Cream Replied back and fly up with Charmy, follow by Cheese the Chao.

Back on the ground. Sonic and His crew just took out the remanding of Eggman Robots.

"Is it just me, or was that too easy?" Victor asked.

"Careful, Eggman always have something cooking up." Said Sonic.

"We just need to be careful." Said Espeo.

"EVERYONE LOOK!" Amy Pointed up at the Egg Carrier. Both of them just unleash more robots, but they are different kinds of robots. They all look the same but have different color like, Blue, Yellow, Purple, and Orange… But two Robots Caught Amy eyes, one is Black one that has no legs but hovering, and haves two cannons as arms, and another one is.,

"Red one?" Amy whispered.

"You okay Amy?" Sonic asked, heard Amy whispering something.

Amy nodded. "Yeah, just remembering something that happen."

"Like what Ames?" Sonic question.

Amy shakes her head. "Don't worry about it. We need to focus on the battle."

"Okay Amy." Sonic nodded and rushed ahead. While Any sigh and said, "E-102 Gamma." With that she ran behind Sonic.

(Meanwhile with Tails)

Tails flying though the sky with his X-tornado. "Look like Eggman did brough 2 Egg Carriers." Said Tails.

Dark Tails appear in spirit form next to him. "Do you have any Ideas?"

"I didn't ask you." Tails snapped harshly. "Go away"

"Are you still upset of what happened?" Dark Tails question him.

Tails didn't say anything but concentrate on his flying. "Answer or not, just remember that we are one. Since we are in battle, you going to need me."

"Just don't control my body again." Tails reminder his dark self. "Until we both agreed."

"You know I promise you before, didn't I?" Dark Tails then look ahead. "Look alive, enemies inbound."

"Am on it!" Tails press two buttons to fire bullets at flying robots like bugs and destroy it.

Dark Tails disappeared and said, "remember switch with me when you need me the most. Who knows, this may be our chance to get back at Eggman."

"You don't think I know that?! Tails said as he fires more bullets and destroy more robots that look like silver oval shape eggs. 'But which Egg Carrier is Dr. Eggman in?"

(With Sonic and team)

Sonic just destroyed a Black robot called E-101 Beta. He turns around just in time to Dodge a blast from a blue E-103 Delta.

"How many does Eggman have?" Sonic questions himself.

The other team are on their own, fighting the rest of the E-Robots of different colors. Victor, Espeo and Charmy are working together destroying wave after wave of E-Robots.

"Victor, Espeo, heads up!" Charmy warned as he pointed ahead to see a floating E-Robot that has no legs, but arms of cannon. "He going to fire!"

"Shoot, that E-101 Mark ll." Said Sonic, "I need to destroy it." SO, he spins around and went straight towards E-101 Mark ll,

But Mark ll saw Sonic coming and teleported him to dodge Sonic attack.

"Crap he can Teleport." He said to himself.

Mark ll appear behind Sonic and swing his arm cannon at Sonic. But Victor came just in time to grab the swing cannon by using his left hand.

"Victor?" said Sonic.

"Espeo, NOW!" Victor yelled out.

Espeo appears behind Mark ll and swings down his big, long Star Shape, cutting the robot in half and destroying it.

"Done." Said Espeo.

"Nice Work, Espeo." Victor comments on him.

"No Problem."

"Don't celebrate just yet. There more coming now." Sonic pointed out. "Let finish up here so we can help the others."

The boys nodded and went to take out the rest of the E-Robots. Victor was about to command Charmy, but the teen Bee was not there.

"Where Charmy?" Victor asked.

"He left to go help his Girlfriend Cream." Espeo responded.

"Of course, he did." Victor sighed and focused on the battle in hand.

(With Amy, Cream. Rouge, and Charmy.)

Rouge flies up and did a spin tornado kick to drill 3 E- Robots and destroy them. But once she landed E-102 sneak behind her and grab her tight.

"Get your metal hands off me!" Rouge yelled out.

Amy came and swung her Poke, Poke Hammer on the E-102 head, sending the head flying and letting go Rouge.

"Thank you, Girl." Rouge thanked Amy.

Amy nodded, "no Problem."

Then Rouge looked up to see the Red E-Robot coming down full Speed. "Look out!" Rouge yelled out. She grabs Amy hand and drag her away from the impact.

The girls turn around to see E-102 Gamma, pointing his metal gun at the girls, plus a laser scope beaming at Rouge and Amy.

"Gamma?" Amy said to herself.

"You know this Robot?" Rouge asked.

Amy nodded. "Yes, that robot save me by realizing me of Eggman Cells."

"You're kidding me, right?"

Amy shakes her head. "No, it's the truth. But that was years ago. I wonder if Gamma remembers me?"

Her question got answered when E-102 Gamma shot few times at Amy and Rouge. Of course, they dodge out of the way.

"Does that answer your question, Amy?!"

Amy did not answer her but dodged another shot from E-101 Gamma.

'Dr. Eggman must of reprogram him.' Amy thought. She summoned two Poke, Poke Hammers and pointed at E-101 Gamma. "Show me what you go Gamma!" Amy yelled out.

"Gamma? That name again." Rouge question, confusion of Amy burst of name.

Amy ran towards Gamma with her two hammers. Gamma started firing at Amy. But she is too quick and dodges every bullet Gamma fired.

After dodging another bullet. Amy jumps up and swings both her hammers down at Gamma. But Gamma crosses his metal arms like an "x" to defend himself. Amy hammers collided with two metal arms. Gamma pushed Amy, which she jumped back few feet away.

"Amy, I got your back." Said Rouge, as she was flying above Amy.

Amy shakes her head. "No, I got this. Go and help the others."

"Are you sure Amy?"

Amy nodded, "Yes I am."

Rouge nodded and flew away to help the others. Amy looked back at Gamma and got to her fighting stand. 'I am going to reprogram you back Gamma, and Tails is going to help me.' With that in mind, she ran towards Gamma.

(Meanwhile with Tails)

Tails flying towards the second Egg Carrier, since Eggman loves to be behind in the battle. SO, Tails choose the second Egg Carrier. But he is having a hard time trying to get near the Egg Carrier.'

'Dang it, this Carrier is lot tougher than I thought.' Tails thought to himself. 'Then I must be right. Eggman is in this Carrier.'

Tails fly up to dodge incoming fire. Then he did a loop to go behind the flying robots and fire at a few Egg fly's and one buzzer.

'Eggman knows am coming!' Tails thought. 'Otherwise, he will not give me trouble.'

"You need to switch with me." Said Dark Tails, appearing next to Tails again. "It will be a lot easier."

"No, not yet. You are my last result." Answered Tails.

"Last result?!"

"YES, NOW LEAVE!" Tails turn right to dodge another bullet from Dr. Eggman Robots.

"You're not going to make it, if you do this alone." Said Dark Tails.

"Yes, I can! Watch me!" Yelled out Tails. As he flies towards Egg Carrier dodging all fire power from the Egg Carrier.

"Just remember. The more time you spend here, the more time Eggman keep sending robots on the battlefield." Dark Tails explained.

By proving a point, Dark Tails pointed underneath the Egg Carrier. Dropping Random Robots to attack Tails Friends.

"That a lot of Robots." Said Dark Tails, looking at him. "The choice is yours. I can use my powers to destroy this Egg Carrier, putting an advantage to your friends." With that he disappears.

Tails thought for a moment. Is he right? Can Dark Tails help his friends by destroying one of the Egg Carrier? Plus, the Egg Carrier that he is near is where Dr. Eggman is in.

But his thoughts are cut off by bullets firing at his plane, almost missing him. 'Crap, I need to focus.' He took left to dodge another round of bullets. But he saw a few missiles coming towards him. With quick thinking he pulls the lever to fly faster at full speed.

'I need to think quickly, before I do anything. He is my last result.' Tails thought as he shoots down another few Eggman robots. He looked at the Egg Carrier. 'I hope I don't regret this.'

(Meanwhile Eggman Empire)

"Doctor, look like Miles Prower is near one of Egg Carrier." Said Bocoe.

Eggman looked at the screen and smiled evilly. "He thinks am on that Egg Carrier. Good, my plan is working perfectly."

"Doctor, there is something you need to see." Said Decoe.

"What is it?" Eggman Asked.

Bocoe taps a few things into the computer and another screen appears right next to the other one that Eggman is seeing. But a little smaller.

"Hmm," The doctor looked closely to see a familiar Green Fox he had not seen for years. "What?! HE HERE!" He never thought Eggman would see him again after that day. 15 years ago, 'If he here. Then this makes everything more complicated.' Dr Eggman thought. Then he realizes that the Green Fox is not battling. He more like defending the house of Sonic. 'Why is he not battling? It's not like him, unless…' He looked at the house of Sonic and smiled evilly. "Look like he is defending something or someone… Decoe move the second Egg Carrier to Sonic House. Let see what that Green Fox defending."

"Yes Doctor, moving the Egg Carrier 2 towards Sonic House." Said Decoe.

Eggman nodded, he then follows by a grin on his face. 'Let see if he has not lost his touch.'

(Meanwhile with Sonic, and Victor)

Sonic and Victor are back-to-back destroying each Robots that gets in their way. Espeo, went to help the others, since Sonic and Victor can handle Eggman Robots themselves… Sonic and Victor are dodging bullets and destroying robots that gets near them. After Victor Punch another robot, he looked up to see one of the Egg Carrier is moving.

"Sonic look up, the Egg Carrier is moving." Victor pointed up at the Egg Carrier, as he quickly ducks down to dodge another fire from the Robot.

Sonic spin dashes the robot that fires Victor and looked up to see the Egg Carrier on the move.

"Where is it going?" Sonic question.

"Sonic behind you!" Victor warned him.

Sonic looked behind and saw, E-103 Robot firing at him. He quickly acted and jumped high in midair to dodge. Victor ran up and double fits punch to destroy the E-103

"Thanks Victor." Sonic thanked him.

"No problem, Sonic." Then more bug-like robots are coming towards them. "We are not done yet."

"Shoot, Eggman is not letting up."

"This time the Doctor is not holding back… But why?" Victor questioned himself.

"Don't know Victor. But once we are done here, I will ask him." Sonic said being sarcastic.

Victor nodded and both ran towards the bug-like robots to destroy.

(Meanwhile with Amy)

Amy is running around, dodging bullets after bullets from E101 Gamma. Amy throws her hammer at Gamma, but with a quick move Gamma shoots the hammer and destroys it.

'Dang it. Gamma is smarter than I thought. He won't let me get near him.' Amy thought as she jumped up high to dodge the blast. While midair Gamma shot missile at Amy. She gasps as four small missiles come at her. Amy can't dodge, so she must act quickly. Amy Summoned another hammer and started spinning around and around like a top, in midair. The missiles reached Amy and one by one, she manages to reflect 2 missiles' making them go other way and destroying the last two missiles.

She landed safely and stopped spinning, but then quickly threw two of her hammers like a boomerang at Gamma.

Gamma decided to shoot the hammers down, but each shot reflected his blasters. Gammad didn't have time to dodge, so he got hit hard. The first hammer hit his chest and the second hammer collided with one of his arms, where the blaster his at.

"YEAH!" Amy cheered.

Static formed around his chest and then fell to the ground on his back.

Amy then slowly walked up to Gamma, summoning another hammer in her hand. Once she reached the Robot, Amy saw the red light starting to dim off. Amy sighs sadly. She didn't want to hurt Gamma that much, but she had no other option.

"Am sorry Gamma. You left me to fight you like this." She whispered to the Robot. "Don't worry, once this is all over, I will come back for you and Tails can fix you up all nice and new. Hopefully reprogram you back to the way you were."

Then she saw a shadow covering all over the ground. Amy looked up to see one of Egg Carrier on the move.

"Where is it going?" She looked ahead to see Sonic's house ahead and she gasped. "Cosmo!" With that she ran towards Sonic House. Cosmo is in danger if the Egg Carrier is going to attack Sonic's House.

(Meanwhile with Eggman Base)

"Sir, Gamma has been defeated." Said Bocoe looking at the Doctor.

"Really? By whom?" Eggman question.

"Amy Rose." Bocoe replied.

"You mean the pink hedgehog? How did Gamma got beaten by her?" Eggman questions himself. Surprise that his second-best creation was destroyed. The first one is E-101 Mark ll got easily destroyed by Sonic and his big alligator friend. "What about Tails?"

"He still at the second Carrier."

"Good, keep him at bay. I want everyone separate." Eggman looked at the screen and he is looking at the Dark Green fox. "I will have my revenge."

(Meanwhile in front of Sonic House.)

John looked at Sonic and his team. Each one has been destroying Eggman robots and knows how to handle themselves. He also looked up in the sky to see Tails plane flying around, dodging attacks and destroying flying robots and small airships.

John wants to help, but he has been ordered to stay here and protect the house. Cosmo is inside resting, and she has not woken up yet.

'Dang it. How much power did Dark Tails did to Cosmo?' He thought to himself. He pulls out his bubble shield just in case one of Eggman Robots or Carrier comes here to attack. "Huh?" He looked left up in the sky to see one of Eggman Carrier coming towards him. "Crap, it is coming this way." He jumps high enough to reach the top of the roof, "The bubble shield can take hits, but hopefully can last before Sonic or anyone can come and help." He actively made the bubble shield and light gold shield appear and spread all over the house. Then he pulls out his two Katana and jump down in front of the House. Ready to defend the house.

"Come at me Dr. Eggman." John whispered to the Egg Carrier.

(Meanwhile at Eggman Base.)

"Doctor, look like a shield has been activate around Sonic House." Said Decoe.

"Hmmm, the same one he used against me years ago." He said to himself looking at the familiar shield on the screen. "Look like he programs it to make it bigger." The screen zooms back to where it's viewing the house. "What is he protecting?" He then looked at the second screen. Each one is viewing sonic and his team. But then it clicks, one Person is not in view and looked at every screen and has not seen that one person or that Black hedgehog. "Where is Shadow?"

On cue a big explosion came in front of the Eggman Base. "What Happened?!"

"Sir, we have been breaching! Someone is attacking the base." Bocoe told Dr. Eggman.

"How? Who? Show me on the screen!" commanded Eggman as a big screen appear on top of the other small screen. Eggman looked closely and saw a shadowy figure with dark red hair line. "S-Shadow, he is attacking us?!"

"Look like its Doctor." Decoe agreed.

"He is going on the second floor." Said Bocoe.

"Lock down anything that gets in his way. I don't want him to get anywhere near here."

"YES DOCTOR!" Both Decoe and Bocoe responded.

With that they acted quickly and pressed any buttons and commanded any robots to attack any threats in the base.

Dr. Eggman sighed defeated and looked at the screen. He had the perfect plan, but now it's ruined. Now he needs to deal with Shadow, so he has no option to retreat one of the Egg Carrier's. "Bring one Carrier back." Dr. Eggman commanded.

(Meanwhile with Tails)

Tails have been taking down a lot of Eggman flying robots, on his own. He even took out big red like eagle robots that fly almost as fast as his own X-tornado. But even if he can take care of his own and fight is his strong point. Tails still must struggle to deal with all the fire power all around him. He even has close calls that almost shot down his X-tornado.

"I need to head back, but how? I need to act quickly." Tails said to himself.

Just then like on cue, the Egg Carrier has stop firing. This confuses Tails a bit. "Huh? They stop firing." Then he saw all flying Robots returning to the Egg Carrier.

"What is going on?" Tais question himself looking around as he stops his X-Tornado, making it hover in the spot.

"Look like Dr. Eggman is retreating." Said Dark Tails as he once again appears next to Tails in spirit form.

"That does not sound like the Doctor I know." Said Tails. Curious that the evil Doctor is calling back his robots.

"Do you have a better suggestion of why he is returning his robots?" Dark Tails asked.

Tails didn't say anything. Dr. Eggman hardly gives up that easily. So why did he stop firing and calling his robots? Tails looked at the Egg Carrier and see that he slowly changed course. Like the Egg Carrier is leaving.

"So, he is leaving." Said Tails.

"Why you think he is calling his robots for, Dummy."

Tails ignored the last comment and spoke. "This could be my chance to land X-Tornado on the Egg Carrier."

"Don't be too sure Tails."

"What do you mean?

Tails looked at the spirit of Dark Tails, and he is looking at the other Egg Carrier. Tails did the same and were surprised to see the other Egg Carrier is on the move towards Sonic House.

"Look like Dr. Eggman is not done. My theory is correct." Said Dark Tails.

Tails ignored his Dark self and saw the Egg Carrier flying towards Sonic's House. "Cosmo." Whispered the one person who was in the house resting. Eggman is planning to attack the house where someone he loves is recovering. Anger builds up inside of himself. Eggman once again is trying to take away someone so Special. But not this time! He is going to stop him NOW! No one is taking away Cosmo, NO ONE!

"Dark Tails." He called out to his dark self.

"Yes!?" Dark Tails asked. He knows this feeling and he knew what Tails is going to say.

"It's Time."

(Meanwhile with Sonic House)

The Egg Carrier did not hasten to fire at Sonic House. But Thanks to John's Bubble shield it holds onto the fire power of the Egg Carrier. John looked up to see the Egg Carier is above him and Sonic House. He watches as his Bubble Shield is doing its part to protect him and Sonic's House from the strong power of the Egg Carrier.

"Dr Eggman is not letting up." He said to himself. "The Bubble shield will not last long." John looked ahead to see animal, bug like robots coming towards him. "That a lot of robots."

Just then the Egg Carrier stopped firing. John looked up again just in time for the bubble shield to disappear. 'Dang it, my shield is out.' John thought to himself. He then looks again ahead. 'Time to clean up house.'

Eggman Robots started firing at John which he sidesteps and then started running up to the first robot (which is a Ladybug-robot.) He swings his sword to destroy the Ladybug-robot, then he uses his second katana to swing up to slice the crab-like robot. A few Bee-like Robot flew around, surrounding john and getting ready to fire. John acts quickly and jumps up to dodge the attack. During midair, he took out and threw star-shape knives at the bee-like robots, hitting its mark. Each one got destroyed, since the Star-shape detonated making explosion. John landed softly, a few feet away and turned around, just in time to see a warm-like robot firing at him. He quickly dodged out of the way and started running towards it.

John keeps on dodging every shot that Worm-like Robot at him. John jumps up and swings both his katana down and destroys the Robot.

John looked up a bit and saw 3 small green-like robots with a propeller on top of them. They are charged at him, but John is prepared.

John waited for the first one to come close and once it did, he swung his Katiana to the side and destroyed it.

Second started firing at john, but he quickly dodges it and throw one of his star-shape knifes at it, hitting its mark and got destroyed once the weapon detonated.

The Third one started flying towards him. But same thing as the first one. John swings his katana to the side and destroys it.

John sighed for a bit. Until he saw a lot of Egg Pawn coming towards him.

'That a lot of Robots' he thought. John saw different types of Egg Pawns. Some have swords, and shield, some have small pistol (or Blaster) and some carry a bazooka on their shoulder.

"Why is Eggman so determined to destroy the house of Sonic? What his purpose of all this?" John questions himself.

3 Egg pawns with Bazooka attack first by firing their weapon at him. John dodge left and ran up to the three Epp Pawns and swing both his Katanas and destroy them. John then spins around to see few Egg Pawns with pistols and about to fire.

"Ah Crap." He curses, he didn't have time to dodge their weapon.

But then Amy came and destroy 2 Egg Pawn by swing her hammers.

"Amy Rose?" John asked, looking at her.

"Am here to help!" Said Amy, swing her hammer to the last Egg Pawn.

Then Sonic came with spin Dash and destroyed 3 other Egg Pawns.

"Sonic!"

"Yup, the one and only." Sonic replied.

Then three Buzz Bombers fly up to Sonic and are about to fire. But then Cream came and kicked one of the Buzz Bombers. Next Rouge came down did her Tornado Kick and destroyed the second Buzz Bombers. Lastly Charmy came flying fast and punched the Buzz Bombers sending it to the ground. He flies down and uses his stinger and slams it to the head of the Buzz Bombers and gets Destroy.

"Cream, Charmy and Rouge." Said John

"I came to help Mr. John." Said Cream

"Yeah, I got your back." Said Rouge.

"We can't let you have all the fun?" Said Charmy.

Sonic and the team destroy the rest of the Egg Pawns. Just then Moto bug are riding fast towards them. Espeo and Victor came to help too. Espeo summons a big star shaped knife twice his sides and tosses it towards the Moto Bugs like a boomerang. Each one got destroyed one by one, since the Star-Shape Knife is going too fast for the Moto Bug to get out of the way.

Victor opened his mouth and purple gum came out and went towards Eggman Robots. Once the Purple Gum touched the Robots, a mini explosion came out and destroyed the robot or two, for each purple gum made contact.

"Espeo and Victor." Said John

"You're welcome." Espeo said politely.

"No problem." Said Victor with a dumb up.

All of Sonic Team are here, and each one picks a robot and starts to fight with it.

"We need to defend the House." Yelled out Sonic.

"Easy said than done, Sonic. But That Egg Carrier keeps dumping more Robots." Said Victor pointing at the Egg Carrier.

"We need to destroy the Egg Carrier." Said Espeo.

"But who? We don't have planes or anything to get us up there." Said Amy.

"Me and Cream can carry one of all up there. But the Robots will attack us once we fly off." Said Charmy.

"I agreed. Those flying buggers will cost us trouble if we do that." Said Rouge.

"Wait, speaking of planes where is Tails? Better yet where is Shadow?" Sonic question.

Few of Sonic Team stop for a moment. They have not seen Tails and Shadow from the beginning of this battle. But Sonic and his friends can't think much since they went back to facing the Evil Doctor Robots.

"It's too many Robots," said Charmy.

"We are being push back." Said Rouge as she kicks off another flying Robot.

Sonic need to act quickly. He does not care if his house is being destroyed or being raided. It's because Cosmo is in the house recovering. Wait! That it!

"John, I need you to go in the house and get Cosmo an out of there." Said Sonic. As he spins dash two robots.

"But Sonic, she still recovering." John protested.

"I know… But we need to get out of here." Said Sonic. "Don't forget that the Egg Carrier is above us and won't be long before Dr. Eggman will fire his cannon again. Unless your bubble shield is ready to use again?!" He looked at John for an answer.

John shakes his head. His Bubble shield is still recharging and even if it is ready John need to get up the roof of the house, since he did place it there.

"Alright, I will get Cosmo." John answered.

"Cool, get going. We will get the robots distracted." Amy said.

John nodded and just when he was about to run to the house. Everyone fell on the ground. Shaking started all around everyone.

"What going on?!" Yelled out Victor.

"Earthquake?!" Charmy yelled out.

The ground cracked open and green vines came out all over the directions. Everyone is shocked to see the vines coming underneath the ground where the crakes are at.

"What on earth?" Amy whispered.

"Why are the vines coming from the ground?" Cream question. While her Chao flew up to her arms. Scared of what is happening.

Then the vines started to move. The Vines are aiming towards Eggman Army of Robots, not Sonic and his friends. Which is everyone relief.

The Vines are destroying the robots, one by one. Eggman Robots are trying to fight back. But the vines have no effect of their fire power. Even the Egg pawn's Bazooka's have no effect on the Vines.

"No need to worry children." Said a beautiful charm voice. Everyone looked left side to the house to see a plant-like female creature. She looks exactly like Cosmo but accept more taller and has a beautiful big white flower on top of her head, and 2 light green vines coming out from the flower and all the way down to her Dress-like grass. She also has light blue hairgrass and a beautiful white dress with light green below the dress. Her arms are stretched out, meaning she is controlling the vines, plus her hands are glowing light green aura.

"Who are they?" John question.

"That must be Cosmo's Mother." Amy replied to his question.

"Cosmo's Mother." John whispered.

"Son, you need to move. Get my daughter out of that house." Said a deep Male voice. "We don't have much time."

Another male creature and this time is a dinosaur-like plant, light purple body, with dark purple hair, two dull that look like branch on his head.

"Right, I won't take long." John then quickly as he ran into the house.

"Herthia, are you feeling?" the male creature asked.

"I can manage, Lucas. I just need to destroy the remanding robots and I will stop." Said Herthia.

"Alright." Lucas looked up to see the Egg Carrier. He had an idea, but wondering if he could reach it? He can transform into something tall, but will it be enough to reach? He looks back at Sonic and his team and then back at the Egg Carrier. IF his transformation cannot reach, then Sonic and his friends can. Plus, He saw how Fast Sonic was going. He should be available to Reach up there if Sonic run Fast enough.

"Hey, blue Hedgehog." Lucas yelled out to Sonic.

Sonic turned his head to look at Lucas. "Who, Me?"

"Yes, you son! Come here." Lucas asked.

Sonic quickly ran up to Lucas and quick speed. Lucas is impressed of Sonic speed. So, if he can't reach using his Transformation, then Sonic speed can.

"Listen Son, my wife is busy destroying the robots. So, it's up to us to get to that big ship." Lucas pointed up at the Egg Carrier. "If I can't reach up there. Think you can use your speed to reach up by running fast on my back?"

Sonic nodded and smirked at the idea. "Am the Fastest thing alive! You can count on me." Lucas nodded, but then.

"Mr. Sonic, Eggman is about to fire!" Cream yelled out as she pointed up.

Sonic and Lucas looked up to see the Cannons were charging and about to fire. Lucas curses himself; it will take a minute or two to make a full transformation, and that won't have time. He looked at the house and still no Cosmo and that green fox. Where is he?

"Dark Sheild!" yelled out a deep voice.

Everyone gasps in surprise to hear that voice again. They looked up to see Dark Tails above them.

"Dark Tails?" Said Sonic.

Lucas heard him and looked at the Twin Tails fox, dark black fur. He is hovering without using his twins' tails. His back is turned on them, he raises his hands and dark red shield appears in front of Dark Tails, then grows bigger and bigger until it surrounds everyone and the house.

"What is he doing?" Lucas asked.

"Look like he is saving us." Said Herthia.

"Saving us?" Sonic question, looking at her.

"Dear, are you done destroying all the robots?" Question Lucas.

Herthia nodded. "Yes, love. All of them destroyed."

The Egg Carrier fired their cannons at Sonic, his friends and the house. But the Shield that Dark Tails created is protecting all of them.

"What?" Sonic is a surprise. Dark Tails Shield protects them from Egg Carrier cannons.

"Sonic!" Sonic heard his name and turned to look at the front of his house. It was John and he had Cosmo in his arms. "I got her, let's go!" He then looks to see Dark Tails using his powers to protect everyone. "Is that Dark Tails?"

"Yes, son and thank you for getting my daughter." Said Lucas walking up to him.

"No problem." John nodded.

"Allow me." Said Herthia, also walking up to John. She places her hand above Cosmo forehead and a light green aura shines on her hand and places her hand on Cosmo forehead. After a few seconds, Herthia's aura from her hand is gone, and she returns her hand. "There, she should be woken up in a bit." After saying that Cosmo slowly opened her eyes.

"Um... where am I?" Cosmo asked. She saw John, Lucas, her father, and lastly her mother Herthia. "Mother, Father? Why are you doing here?"

"We were coming to pick you up. But we saw everyone fighting these Robots. So, we decided to help." Lucas explained.

Cosmo was going to continue asking, but a yell came from above. Cosmo looked up, after she got put down and thanked her mother, and John. To her horror Cosmo saw her beloved Tails, but in his Dark form.

"Dark Tails." Cosmo whispered. She is seeing Dark Tails hands in front, protecting everyone from an Eggman attack. "Please be careful."

The Egg Carrier somehow stopped firing. Dark Tails saw this and smirked. "All Out." He said as he put his hands back, making the shield disappear. He then summons his two swords of destruction. The same ones he uses against John, Sonic, and his team.

"Let have some fun." Dark tails said to himself. As he disappears and reappears in front of the Egg Carrier.

Dark Tails looked at both wings of the Egg Carrier and decided to strike that first. "Dark Energy of X" he said as he connected both of his swords together above him. Dark red energy forms into the swords and, once the swords have enough energy. Dark Tails swing both his swords making their Dark energy release like a big red 'X' and headed straight to the right wing of the Egg Carrier.

The red 'X' energy connected on the right wing of the Egg Carrier, making a big explosion. The Egg Carrier's wing fell off and headed straight down. "Now, for the other wing." He put his two swords in front of him and started to fly towards the other wing. The Egg Carrier started firing at Dark Tails, but he quickly dodged the fire power. "Dark Lighting!" He pointed two swords at the cannon and at the tip of his swords, dark lighting came out and struck the cannon. One by one each cannon is being destroyed while Dark Tails still fly by and heading straight towards the right wing of the Egg Carrer. Once Dark Tails reach the right wing, he swings his two swords. By passing through the right wing and making it to the other side of the wing. The right wing came off and made a few explosions doing the way.

Dark Tails flew up high behind the Egg Carrier engine. His swords glow dark energy and he swings both his swords letting the energy out of his swords into the engines off the Egg Carrier destroying all of them.

"Time for the real fun." Dark Tails said to himself.

Dark Tails pointed his both swords at the Egg Carrier and fired Dark lighting at it. He decided to fly to the left side of the Egg Carrier while firing his Dark Lighting. He made Explosion, destroying cannons that he flies by. Dark Tails is making chaos all around the Egg Carrier showing no mercy at all.

(Meanwhile)

Sonic and his friends are looking up to see Dark Tails destroying the Egg Carrier all over. But pieces of the Egg Carrier is falling over the place, almost hitting Sonic House and his friends.

"Dude, the piece of the ship is falling on top of us." Said Charmy, He even pulled Cream closer to him to protect her.

"Its not safe here everyone." Said Cream, blushing a bit being wrapped around Charmy arms.

"John, can you use your bubble shield to protect us?" Sonic asked.

"I could… But my bubble shield won't last long with metal parts touching it… Metal is too heavy for my bubble shield." John explained.

"Then its settle. We need to move now… "LETS GO EVERYONE!" Sonic said. Everyone nodded and together they all leave away from Sonic house to a safe place away from being underneath Egg Carrier.

(Meanwhile back with Dark tails_

Flames are all around the Egg Carrier and explosion is coming all over… Dark Tails went Chaotic and went all over the ship. He even went inside the Egg Carrier, destroying every robot that got in his path. While doing this, Dark Tails came to find out that Dr Eggman was not on the ship.

"He must have left with the other ship." Dark Tails said to himself. "Such a shame. But let finishing this."

Dark Tails flew up above the Egg Carrier. He put both his hands up and yelled out. "Dark Ball of Destruction."

A small orb forms between both Dark Tails hands, then its starting to grow bigger and bigger and bigger. In Seconds, the orb went 5 times its sides and stop growing. Dark Tails smirked, and pulled his both hands back a bit and forth a bit like he was pushing the Dark orb's energy without him even touching it. The Dark Ball of Destruction is slowly going towards the Egg Carrier. It didn't take long until the Dark Ball touched the left side of Egg Carrier. The Dark Ball starts to destroy everything on the left side of the Ship. But it does not stop. The Dark ball is slowly moving towards the other side of the Egg Carrier, causing destruction on its path. But once the dark orbs stop in the middle of the ship. Dark Tails did one thing.

He snaps his fingers, and the Dark Ball went small and quickly spread all over the Egg Carrier. The Dark Ball destroy the whole Egg Carrer leaving destruction in his wake. To everyone's surprise the Egg Carrier was gone leaving a few metal parts and pieces falling, almost hitting Sonic's House.

"There done." Dark Tails said as he landed in front of Sonic House. 'Happy now?' he questions.

Tails appeared in spirit and nodded his head. "Yes, thank you for your help. But did you really have to leave behind your mess? It almost hitting Sonic House, not to mention my friends almost getting hurt."

"It's not my fault that your friends are in the way, besides I need to realize some stress anyways" Dark Tails replied. Without warning he switch places with Tails. Dark Tails is now a spirit form. "Call me if you need anything." With that he disappears.

"Tails!" He heard his name called by his friends. He turned and smiled as they reached up to him.

"Dude, that was amazing!" Said Charmy commenting.

"I'll say. Didn't know you can do that." Said Victor.

"Its impressive." Espeo Said.

All his friends are commenting on what he did to the Egg Carrier. Even though most of that work was his Dark self, but Tails knows that he does not want to be in the spotlight.

"Tails." A soft voice has been said. Tails heart skip a beat and turn to look at Cosmo.

"Cosmo?" Tails whispered. She nodded and walked up to him. All their friends made room for those two to reach one another.

"How are you feeling?" Tails question.

"Am feeling better. Thanks to my mother." Cosmo replied with a smile.

"That good." Without thinking, he pulls Cosmo into his arm in hugged her. Cosmo was surprised, but she hugged him back. "Am glad you're okay. I am sorry for what happen."

"Don't worry about it." She replied. "Everyone knows it's not your fault. Even me."

The young couple hugged for a bit until Tails remembered what Cosmo said. "Wait, your mother?"

On cue, Herthia and Lucas walked up to Tails and Cosmo, breaking up the hug to look at Cosmo parents.

"Mom, Dad." Said Cosmo. "This is Miles Tails Prower. The one I told you about."

Tails looked at her. Did Cosmo talk about him to her Parents? "Oh boy." He whispered.

(Meanwhile, Eggman Base.)

A Robot head fell to the ground and Stomped by Shadow the hedgehog. He looked around to see if any other robots were coming to attack him. But none. All that is left is parts and a scramble of robots all over the place. Shadow did a good job trashing the place.

"Shadow!" A Familiar voice called to him.

Shadow turned to look, and it is Doctor Eggman. "Dr Eggman."

Eggman looked around while he is walking towards him. "I still see you trash my base."

"I have too, since you are attacking us." Said Shadow.

Dr Eggman nodded and stopped once he and Shadow were a few feet away. "I have my reasons, I almost succeeded if you didn't show up."

"Hm, my job here is done."

"What next for you Shadow?" Dr. Eggman asked. "Are you going to tell everyone where my Base?"

Shadow shakes his head. "No, this is my doing, and I do this alone. Let them figure it out." He started to walk away, but Dr. Eggman stopped him.

"Wait Shadow! I have a task for you to do." Said Eggman, with a evil grin.

Shadow surged his shoulders. He never really cares about Eggman, or anybody else of that matter. His only job is to keep a promise to a person long ago. If only she was here. "I don't take orders from you. Doctor!"

"Oh, you will if you hear me out."

Shadow turned around and crossed his arm. Whatever Eggman has to say, nothing will do to make him work for the evil Doctor. "What is it? Whatever you say, nothing you say will make me work for you."

Dr. Eggman laughed evilly. That got Shadow attention. IF the Doctor has a plot, Shadow must stop him.

"Oh, trust me you will… Unless your precious someone will love to see you again." Eggman said.

"What do you mean, Doctor?" Shadow asked. "I don't have anyone I care about."

Eggman grinned a bit. "Oh, you do Shadow… Does Maria ring any bells?"

Shadow eyes are wide as plates. "Don't you DARE say her name!"

"Do you want to see her?" Question Eggman getting straight to the point, ignoring Shadow tantrum. "Do you want to see Maria again?"

Shadow calmed down after Eggman said that. Maria, the most important person in Shadow life, died long ago from terrible diesis. Now, Doctor Eggman is saying he can see Maria again?

Shadow took a deep breath and said, "Maria is D-dead, Doctor."

"Yes, or is she?"

"W-what?"

"If you went all your question answer, if you want to see Maria again, you'll have to do me a small favor." Dr. Eggman explained, "All you must do is bring someone here alive… By someone I mean a certain two-tail Fox."

Shadow didn't say anything as he watched Dr Eggman slide his finger in front of him and a small screen appear. "Bring me miles Tails Prower and you will see 'her' again." He whooshes the screen towards Shadow. He saw the screen in front of him.

Shadow gasp. "No, its c-can't be." Right on the screen is Maria inside a capsule, but she looks different. She not human, but a hedgehog, but her color is blond hair and light skin body. But other than that Shadow can tell this is Maria. 'How? How can she be alive? There is no way she alive! I saw her die in front of me…'

"Do we have a Deal?" Dr Eggman asked.

The screen disappears and Shadow closes his eyes. Moments later he re-open and said, "Yes, Doctor."
