Scorpia stabbed her sword into the wall leading into the abyss in the platform path, catching herself before she could fall through. She could see Weava throw more energy balls at Niknight, who danced elegantly to dodge them before the seamstress spun some web down at Scorpia, the knight grabbing it and allowing herself to be pulled up.
When Scorpia got up, she dodged a tongue lash by Niknight before then using her sword in whip mode to lash back at her, who seemed to just giggle at the weapon choice.
"What's so funny!?" Scorpia demanded.
"You just seem like a bit of a bottom to have a whip." Niknight teased.
Scorpia blushed profusely. "Do you ever SHUT UP!?" She yelled, striking the ground, Niknight finding her vision obscured by a cloud of snow…before noticing a shadow over her. She looked up, seeing Scorpia aiming to stab her.
Letting out a hissing noise, a purple gas escaped Niknight's mouth, obscuring Scorpia and Weava's vision.
When Scorpia landed, Niknight retreated into the smoke.
When it cleared, Niknight was gone.
"Dammit…" She looked over to Weava. "Weava, you ok!?" She called out.
"I…I feel like she retreated for now." Weava responded, walking over. "I'm sorry, I suppose I wasn't much help…"
Scorpia watches out for a bit, concentrating before sighing, sheathing her blade. "She's a crafty one."
"She was trained like her sister. Neither are someone you wanna meet in a dark alley." Weava nodded.
"...you ok?" Scorpia asked.
"I…I made her like that…" Weava muttered.
"..." Scorpia hugged her. "I can't begin to imagine what that's like…but…I know what this kind of thinking leads to…just…don't do something stupid, ok? Me and Spydey…we care about you too much to lose you."
"I…thank you."
Scorpia broke the hug, nodding at her. "I'm here whenever you need me."
"Heh, might give Spydey the wrong idea.~" Weava purred.
Scorpia blushed profusely. "...s-so uh…a-about that…th-that uh…k-kiss earlier…"
"Mmm, what about it?~"
"U-uh…wh-what was uh…that about?"
"Mmm, what do you mean?"
"I-I…uh…that is to say uh…" Scorpia blushed, scratching the back of her head.
"You are very cute. Work on your confidence and I'm sure Spydey'll notice your feelings."
"And uh…what about us…?" Scorpia gestured to herself and Weava. "What uh…what are we…?"
"Friends, with maybe a few benefits.~"
Scorpia blushed hard.
"Now c'mon, we should check on her."
Scorpia nodded, the two heading off.
Over with Spydey and Kinro, the spider and wolf had been trying hard to open the door and get inside.
They were having…not much luck.
"AREINA, DAMMIT!" Spydey banged on the door. "What I wouldn't give for a battering ram or something…"
"Mmm…think there's…a puzzle…"
"A puzzle?" Spydey perked up. "What kind?"
"Mmm…trying to…remember…"
Spydey looked at the stones on either side of the doors. "...perhaps a hidden switch or something"
"Patternnn…think there's a pattern…"
Spydey looked for anything of note on the stones. "Pattern, pattern…" When she looked closer, she saw symbols. "Ok, I see…a spider, an owl, some wendigos, a scarab…"
"Wendigos first."
Spydey nodded, pressing that stone first. It glowed blue. "Ooooh!"
"Umm…owl." Kinro spoke.
Spydey pressed that one.
More blue. "Spider?"
Again, pressed that one.
"Now scarab!" Kinro presses it himself and there's a dull click, the doors opening.
"WHOO!" Spydey hugged him. "You go, Kinro!"
Kinro returned it.
Hugs felt…nice.
Spydey let go before pausing. "Huh…y'know with the exception of the wendigos, all those relate to my family…"
Kinro nods. "Maybe there's more to your family."
"...maybe." Spydey nodded, an excited look on her face, like a child that learned they had a long lost sibling.
"Mmm…think this door is one at a time."
Spydey looked to the door, frowning before turning to Kinro. "Let Weava and Scorpia know I'm ok, alright?"
"Of course." Spydey nodded, going inside.
…
Spydey steps through the door and onto... Grass. No longer inside a mountain, she stands in a field of grass. "Whoa…" She looked around. "Hello?"
"Hello!" In the distance a mouse waves, standing next to a lion.
"Hey!" Spydey waved. "So uh…what is this place?"
"This is the first trial!" The mouse replies.
"Oh. So uh…what do I do?"
"You must make a choice!"
Spydey blinked. "Between…?"
The mouse motions between him and the lion.
"Ok…so why should I choose each of you?" Spydey asked. "Or is this supposed to be some off the top of my head thing?"
"I know all the shortcuts!" The mouse offered.
"I need help." The lion stated.
Spydey's attention was immediately on the lion. "What do you need help with?"
"The jungle is hard to navigate."
Spydey nodded. "Alright, I'll help-"
"Are you sure?" The mouse asked. "He is right, it's hard to navigate. However, I know the shortcuts. Besides, you are on a time limit, aren't you?"
The mouse was right. The portal to this dimension wouldn't be open forever…
But…she was raised to help people. It was part of her nature…
So her choice was obvious.
Spydey walked over to the lion. "I will help you."
The lion guides her towards the jungle.
It was…massive. The thickness of the trees allowed some light in, but otherwise it was dark, crowded, and indeed, hard to know your way in.
Spydey did her best to lead the lion through anyway, though.
"So, what's your name? I feel kinda awkward just calling you two mouse and lion." Spydey asked.
"I am Gaurus." The lion told her.
"Gaurus. I like it!" Spydey smiled. "My name's Spydey!"
"A lovely name!"
"Thank you! It's actually Arania Spydestia the 24th, but to make it shorter and distinguish myself from my mother, we called me Spydey. She was also called Arani. Yours, though, it's short yet powerful, like a lion!" Spydey smiled. "Which fits, I suppose." She giggled.
The lion smiles. "Both your names are very pretty."
"Aw, thanks!" Spydey grinned as they entered deeper into the jungle. "So, what're you trying to get through here for? Family? Some food? A date with a special lion/lioness?"
"It is simply my purpose."
Spydey pouted. "That doesn't sound very fun. Sounds kinda lonely."
"It can be, but sometimes the solitude is comforting."
"Oh? How so?"
"It allows me time to think."
"Hmm…I guess I can see the appeal. I've always preferred being in the company of those I love…or anyone, really. As long as they're nice."
"An understandable point of view."
Spydey nodded. "Been this way since I can remember. After…after my parents…I just wanna make sure if I see an opportunity for a new friend, for a new bond, I take it, and cherish it as much as I can."
"A good policy for a queen."
"Thanks! Wait, how did you know I was a queen? I don't recall mentioning it." Spydey wondered in awe.
"One of your advisors spoke about you."
"Wh-my…one of my advisors?"
"An owl. Slouches a bit."
Spydey's eyes widened. "...Owlio…?"
"He was not forthcoming about himself."
Spydey took time to wonder to herself until they came across a hole on the path they were on, covered by vines.
A…huge hole…
"Mmm…how to cross."
Spydey looked to the end. She took a rock and tossed it into the hole, listening closely.
There was no sound.
"...ok." Spydey shot a web towards the other end…
And despite being sure she shot far enough…it somehow missed.
She tried again, and again, and again.
"Mmm…" The lion paced behind her.
Spydey frowned. "Ok, so…magic. Probably some space-time stuff. Goddess, I wish Weava was allowed to go with me in here, she'd know what to do…"
"Mmm…there's usually an explanation."
"Yes, but what…"
The lion steps on a vine carefully.
The vine seems to creek.
"These obviously will not hold us." Gaurus noted.
"...maybe the trick…is to go down!" Spydey grinned, going to the edge.
The vines creek a bit.
"TALLY-HO!" Spydey jumped down into the abyss.
The vines snap instantly and the lion jumps after her.
Weava and Scorpia arrived at the doors, finding Kinro leaning against a boulder next to them.
"What happened? Where is she?" Scorpia asked.
"She went inside. Undergoing a test, I think…" Kinro told them.
"WHAT!? ALONE!?" Weava asks, not enthused.
"Only allows one in." Kinro told the two, knocking against the doors. "I tried, but…yeah."
"So we can't help her?"
"Not right now, anyway."
"GAAAAH!" Weava slammed her fists against the doors, but while they shook, they didn't budge.
"Tried that too. Didn't work."
"We can't just sit here!"
Scorpia slammed her fist against the door. "Dammit…"
"How tough is she? Spydey, I mean?" Kinro asked.
"I…she doesn't see much combat." Scorpia said.
"She's gotten through temples with only one arm, has beaten the great Goliath of Freezerburn mountain..." Weava spoke. "But...here...who knows what she's facing?"
"Mmm I feel like this one was never too big a deal..."
"How do you know?" Weava asked.
"Remember... coming here... hard."
Weava went over to him. "Are...you ok?"
"It's like trying to find a door in thick fog, the memories are there but finding them..."
"..." Weava put a hand on his shoulder. "If we can find a way, I promise, we'll help."
"Thank you..."
Weava nodded. "Without hurting yourself...is there anything you can remember that might help us? Another path or...?"
"Mmm... As soon as she's through, door opens. We don't have to do the trial..."
Weava nodded. "Alright...Thank you."
"Sorry... no other... passage."
Weava tsked. "Dammit..."
"Owl...owl..."
"...Owl?" Weava asked.
"Owl..." Scorpia muttered.
"Owl came through..."
"Who?" Weava asked.
"Owlio?"
Weava's eyes widened. "Owlio..."
"He would go through to open the door."
Weava and Scorpia looked to each other before nodding.
"I'm gonna try something." Wevaa said.
Kinro nods, getting out of the way.
Weava waves her left hand over her right palm, conjuring a mini spider scout.
Kinro blinked. "Every moment with you guys, I learn something more bizarre about you."
"I'm in charge of monster creation." Weava explained. "Not a full monster though, here, just a little drone that can do simple tasks."
"Interesting, are you the only one that makes monsters?"
"I have two helpers, just assistants who carry some of the smaller workload so I can concentrate on the main stuff." Weava explained. "Owla and Poisoda."
"Mmm…I dunno them. What about the Owlio guy? What's he do?"
"He's the advisor to the queen." Weava answered. "He was in charge of the empire after her folks passed until she was old enough to take the throne."
"So who kept tabs on him while he was in charge?"
Weava and Scorpia exchanged glances.
"There uh…usually isn't outside the advisors." Weava explained. "And Owlio was THE advisor, and a trusted friend of the previous king and queen."
"But he didn't tell you he's been here before? Wouldn't that be important?"
Weava and Scorpia were silent.
"...you're right." Weava said after a moment, releasing the drone to scour the area. "That is important…"
"Also, he didn't warn you about the doors."
"...but why would he hide something like this…" Scorpia wondered.
"I…don't know." Kinro shrugged.
"..." Weava was struck by a thought. "Wait…Kinro, do you think you might've worked for our empire?"
"I don't know about an empire…but I do remember going through here with Owlio."
"Hmm…" Weava rubbed her chin. "But what could he have wanted with a wolf from some other dimension…?"
"Don't remember yet."
Scorpia sighed, sitting on a rock. "Question is, what're we gonna do now? Just…pray she passes whatever tests are in there?"
"Don't think prayer is needed. If Owlio could do it and Spydey's as good as Weava said, she'll be fine." Kinro commented.
"..."
Spydey sat up, groaning as she rubbed her head. "Ok…jumped into the abyss…now where am I?"
She found herself…still in the jungle. Just as the end of a mossy natural slide.
"Huh…I guessed right!" She grinned. "WHOO!"
"Indeed." Gaurus said. "Now to continue!"
Spydey hopped up, nodding. "Right! Forward?"
The lion nods.
Spydey nods and with great vigor, walks forward…
Right until a boulder blocked her path.
"...shit."
"Hmm…don't suppose you can lift it?" The lion asks.
"I can try!" Spydey grinned, kneeling down, grabbing the boulder and started lifting it, grunting.
To Gaurus' surprise, Spydey lifted it.
"Huh. Lighter than expected." Spydey smiled, nodding for him to go ahead. Gaurus passed through easily with the boulder gone.
With that out of the way, quite literally as Spydey tossed the giant rock aside, the queen followed her lion friend through the pathway.
…
"Ok, do you need anything else?" Spydey asked, panting, cut up and a little bruised as they reached the end of a pathway.
"This should be the exit."
"So…I passed?"
Gaurus chuckles. "While helping me was difficult, the mouse's shortcuts would have gotten you lost. You've passed this trial." As he says this, they appear out of the forest, finding a glowing doorway.
Spydey cheered, hugging the lion. Gaurus accepts it, chuckling. Spydey broke it, nodding at him before skipping through the door.
Spydey found herself in a new room, the doors closing behind her. She looked around, seeing a grey stone walled and floored room with red patterns along each, looking at it in intrigue…before she was tackle hugged by Scorpia.
"YOU DID IT!"
"Whoa…" Spydey chuckled in surprise before hugging Scorpia tightly. "Was I…really gone that long?"
"15 minutes since we got here."
Spydey's eyes widened. "Whoa." Scorpia helped her get up, the knight noticing the cuts and bruises on her.
"Need healing?" Scorpia asked.
"I-I'll be fine-"
"Spydey." Weava suddenly spoke.
Spydey looked over to Weava, who had a blank expression on her face as she walked up to her.
"..."
"I worried you…didn't I?" Spydey asked.
"Of course you did. You went off alone before we even got here."
Spydey winced. "S-sorry…"
She sighed. "At least hold still and let me heal you."
"Yes ma'am."
Weava gets to work as Kinro and Scorpia look around the new room.
"Most of them didn't break skin but you should be more careful. We don't know how many more of these tests there are." Weava told her, examining the cuts and bruises before beginning to heal her.
"R-right." Spydey nodded as Kinro began to get a headache. "Kinro? You alright?"
Kinro groaned in pain, clutching his head.
With Weava finished with her injuries, Spydey ran on over to the wolf. "Whoa, you ok!?"
"Hng…can't…remember…"
Spydey then looked and saw nine rocks looking to be pressed. "That look familiar?"
He nods, grunting.
"Hey, take it easy…" Spydey told him gently, helping him over. "Do you remember anything, like which order to press them in, or do you need to rest?"
Kinro quickly pressed the buttons, more like it was automatic than anything.
The door next to the rocks opened with a dull glow.
"T-there…"
Spydey wrapped one of his arms around her shoulders, helping him in.
"Next is…teamwork." Kinro spoke.
"Teamwork…?" Spydey muttered.
"Think that's why we were let in?" Scorpia asked, following.
"Think so…first test as one…second as group…" Kinro explained.
Spydey nods. "You guys ready?"
"I suppose we have to be." Weava says, the group entering and seeing…a lab. A high tech one.
"Oooh!" Spydey spoke in awe. "Wonder what we're supposed to do here…"
Kinro groans, holding his head.
"Kinro, you ok!?"
"So familiar. I…ach…"
Spydey sets him down in a chair, moving him away from any chemicals or cabinets. "Sure hope this place has water or something…" She muttered, going off to search for it.
"Scorpia, you go with her, I'll stay with him." Weava said to the knight.
Scorpia nods, following Spydey.
Kinro coughs, holding his head. "You guys…seem close…"
Weaver chuckles. "We used to be. Things ended… hastily."
"...I would offer to listen, but not sure how comfortable you'd be talking to a complete stranger, heheh…"
Weava giggled. "Heh, if this is about team work, I think right now the test is helping you."
"Heh…maybe…are you all ok? I'm sorry, it's just…you've been having to deal with me, on top of lookin for this whatever thing you're aiming for."
"I'm…in a whirlwind. Someone I…wronged, is here." Weava answered.
"That toad girl…?" Kinro asked.
"Yes. I…I couldn't leave well enough alone."
"You said you…raised her from the dead. Back when she first appeared to us."
Weava nods.
"You must've cared a lot about her to do that."
"I…I did. But I should've let her rest."
"How…did you come across that spell…?"
"Long time ago. Had a friend named Mannequeen. She was an Elementia from another land, people who were based around the elements. We grew close and when she died in combat against some ancient enemy involving some legend she was a part of, I…I couldn't let that go. So I looked through some of the forbidden archives, made sure to follow the steps to the letter in a spell I found and…I brought her back, as something new, but still connected to her old form. It was still her."
"Ah. So you thought since that worked, you'd try it again?"
Weava nodded. "...Niknight, I…she was…she was there after me and Spydey ended…I…I loved her so much, so when she died, I…I needed her. I tried it again, followed all the steps, and it seemed like everything went well. But…then at some point…I discover her murderers…" She covered her mouth. "..."
"...something went wrong, and she wasn't quite who she used to be." Kinro guessed.
"I…I tried to stop her, but she ran…"
"...I'm sorry."
"I…nothing else I could've done."
"...I think if other people were in your position, a lot of them would do the same thing."
"I hope so."
"It's…not wrong to wanna be reunited with someone you love…"
"But what I did was not right."
"..." Kinro shook his head. "You did it. No getting around it. You aren't gonna stop beating yourself up over it. So let me ask you this…what do you plan to do about it?"
"I…I don't want to hurt her…but I'll protect my friends."
"...that's all you can do, sometimes."
She nods.
"FOUND WATER!" Spydey called out, turning on a faucet before getting sprayed in the face by it, Scorpia struggling not to laugh.
Weava heads there, seeing Scorpia grab a bucket and fill it with water, bringing it over to Kinro, who picks it up and drinks from it, sighing in relief.
"That…that is so much better, thank you." The wolf told them.
Spydey beamed.
"Huh…well, no spirits or anything yet." Weava commented, looking around.
"That is weird." Scorpia responded, rubbing her chin, pausing before realizing something. "You think we have to work together to make something that helps him remember stuff?"
"Hmm…well, can't hurt to try."
"Alright. So, who takes the lead on this?" Scorpia asked. "I know some stuff, but my specialties are stealth and combat."
"I'm the only one to work on stuff like this." Weava responded.
Scorpia nods.
"Alright then. So what's the first step, boss?" Spydey asked.
"Welll ummm… He's a cyborg, perhaps some of his implants are interfering. Half his head is metal, there must be easy access." Weava suggested.
"Ok, then. I think I know what we'll need here. Scorpia help look for that opening while I get what we require?" Spydey said.
Scorpia nodded, inspecting the metallic side of Kinro's face, the queen heading off to search for supplies.
Scorpia beamed. "Aha! I think I got it!"
"Good, Let me see." Weava went over.
Scorpia shows Weava the opening. "Recognize anything?"
Weaver put her finger to her own chin. "Hmmm I see several probes, they're making contact with the brain, not enough to damage it but enough to cause headaches. I think I can remove them."
"Good."
"So uh…please be honest," Kinro spoke up. "…this is gonna hurt, isn't it?"
"Not as much as it already does." Weava answered.
Kinro takes a deep breath. "Alright…"
Spydey comes back with some supplies on a rolling table. "Got what we need!" She brought out various tools, masks and gloves, etc. "So, Kinro," She says, putting on a mask. "Are you ready for ze prozedure?" She says in a bad accent, putting on her gloves, getting a light smirk out of the wolf cyborg. He groans at the accent but closes his eyes trustingly.
Scorpia and Weava meanwhile are looking at Spydey with deadpan expressions.
"...what?"
Weava sighs, her and Scorpia putting on gloves and masks. "You are lucky you're adorable."
Spydey's eyes widen and she blushes hard.
"Whoo!" Spydey breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, I think that did it. Good job, everyone!"
"How are you feeling, Kinro?" Weava asked.
Kinro rubbed his head. "Better…like everything's…becoming clear…"
Spydey then noticed something in one of the walls. "Hey! A door!" She pointed towards it. "This wasn't here before!"
"I think the test is passed." Scorpia commented. "You good to go, Kinro?"
"Yes, I'm ready." Kinro got up, Scorpia helping him from the table, her and Weava walking him to the door.
…
Once they passed through the door, they found themselves in another lab-like structure…
One very familiar to them.
"Hey this looks like Owlio's lab back at base!" Spydey commented, several machines seemingly strapped to the final test door.
Kinro's eyes widen as he gets a huge sense of familiarity with this setting.
"..." Scorpia noted this, turning towards him. "You ok?"
"I…not everything's back, but…I feel like I've been in this room…this is based on an existing place, but I don't know where…"
"Weird…if we passed, we should've gone through here, right, Kinro?" Spydey asked.
…
Spydey looked at Kinro. "Kinro?"
Kinro snapped out of a trance he had been in. "Yes. Sorry, just…"
"...You recognize this place, right?" Spydey guessed.
Kinro nodded. "Yeah…just…everything's slowly coming back. Just…really slow."
"Alright. It does seem like something's been done to the door…but why does this look like Owlio's lab…"
Kinro thought for a moment.
Owlio…they kept on mentioning this guy.
Wait…
"This Owlio…" Kinro began. "Big guy, wears a cloak?"
"Yeah, actually!" Spydey answered. "Do you know him?"
"I remember him storming out the door upset…" Kinro answered, rubbing his head.
"...OWLIO WAS HERE!?" Spydey yelled in shock.
"Yup. Sorry."
"..." Scorpia and Weava looked deep in thought.
So Owlio WAS here…
But why…
"...but…but why…why wouldn't he tell us this…?" Spydey muttered.
"Dunno. He seemed pretty adamant about getting in." Kinro spoke. "...didn't seem like the type to take failure well…"
"Tch…" Scorpia looked away. "Sounds like him…"
After taking a few moments to process that, Spydey looked to the locks on the door. "But then…how do we get in there?"
"I think it's another hidden button like the last two doors." Kinro answered, looking around the room.
The others began searching all over the room, Spydey still reeling from the revelation.
"Owlio…" She muttered. So…so the lion really was talking about Owlio. But…how…why…?
Scorpia rubs her own head, looking at Spydey before turning to Weava. "You think she's gonna be ok?"
"She trusts Owlio." Weava responded. "She's not used to him lying."
"Doesn't surprise me he'd do something like this, but…keeping it from Spydey of all people?" Scorpia shakes her head. "I can only imagine how she's feeling right now…"
The door began to glow dull, Kinro having found the stone button.
"Oh, he found it!" Scorpia grinned.
"..." Spydey remains silent as she watches the door open. She feels someone grab one of her hands, turning and seeing Weava, Spydey blushing before Scorpia took another hand, her face turning redder before she smiled at the two.
Spydey stepped through the door…
And found herself…outside?
Somewhere on the mountain…?
"...the hell..?" She looks around before hearing some commotion going on. She rushes towards it and sees Niknight, though she doesn't seem to see her. "What is…what is this?" She asked to no one, looking around and seeing…
"The Ryumushingers!?" She exclaimed, seeing Niknight's colorful opponents fighting her.
"Wait but what are they doing here?" She asked herself before she noticed…Niknight was kicking their asses. "Ohhhh no, ummm what do I do, she'll just kill them…"
She thinks for a moment. "Oh! The heart! Maybe-" She stops. "But Owlio says we need it for the war…" She looked back to the vision, helplessly standing by as the rangers did their best, but were a poor match against the frog assassin.
"..."
Spydey clenched her fists…and opened her eyes.
The choice was clear.
…
Spydey found herself in a new room, in front of a door, which opened, just as the others came inside from the one behind her.
"You found it! The Orb!" Weava smiles as the door in front of them revealed the artifact they had come there for.
Spydey smiled. "...heh…would ya look at that…"
The orb, Champion's Heart, was shaped simultaneously like a heart and a cocoon, with black patterns like insect wings as well as a silver disk-like rainbow texture.
While it was about half the size of a football, from what they could sense, it radiated…untold amounts of power.
It was like it held the power of several dozens of this entire dimension…
Like being in the presence of several of the Draginsects.
It would be overwhelming…but for the three of them, especially Spydey…
It felt…oddly comforting.
Taking a second to get over that, Spydey cleared her throat. "So uh…" She chuckles nervously, scratching the back of her head, turning towards the three. "Uh…about this and the last test…"
"What happened? What did you see?" Scorpia asked.
"Ok, this is gonna be uh…a bit crazy."
"This whole day has been crazy." Weava pointed out.
Spydey took a deep breath. "Well I saw a vision of the future. The very, VERY near future. As in I think this is gonna happen within the next few days, max."
"And…?" Scorpia asked, tilting her head.
"Well, first off, the Ryumushingers are on the mountain somewhere." Spydey began.
"WHAT!?" Scorpia exclaimed, drawing her weapon.
"HOLD UP!" Spydey held up her hands. "They haven't found this place yet. But uh…Niknight finds them…"
Weava grit her teeth.
"...and uh…I know, I know Owlio would want us to let her take care of them, but…I…" She sighed. "I don't…want anyone here in this war to die if I can help it…and in the vision, she was…beating them pretty badly, and..."
Scorpia stares at her a bit, chuckling before turning to Weava. "Well, I dunno, Weava, what do you think?"
"...I trust YOU." Weava said to her queen and friend.
"..." Spydey smiled, nodding at her. "Thanks, Weava."
Weava nodded. But just as she was about to speak again, Kinro grabbed the orb and rushed to the opposite side of the chamber, where the door opened up, presumably to the path the rangers were taking.
"Whoa!" Spydey yelped. "Kinro, what're you-"
"It's him…it was him!" Kinro rambled.
"Who? What're you talking about?" Spydey asked.
"HE did this to me!" Kinro yelled, holding up his metal arm and rushing off.
Spydey's eyes widened, remaining silent for a moment. Then another. Then another…. "...w-w-wait….what?"
"We should follow him, yes?" Weava asked.
Scorpia nods, the two heading to follow Kinro before noticing Spydey simply standing there. "Spydey?"
"...he…this must be some kind of mistake…" She muttered.
"Spydey." Scorpia puts her hands on her shoulders, gaining her attention. "We'll tackle that later. For now, we gotta get going."
Taking a moment to think, Spydey nodded and the three rushed after Kinro.
