Chapter 5 - Chrysalis and the League of Villains
I own neither Miraculous or My Hero Academia.
Ladybug and Cat Noir, as well as all the other students, looked at the new holder of the Moth Miraculous.
She was about the same age as they were though it was hard to tell with the silver mask she wore. Though it resembled Hawk Moth's original mask, it had a few key differences - namely, the eyes were covered by violet lenses, and on the sides of her head were two butterfly wings that reminded Ladybug of the horns on a Viking helmet. On her body was a violet sleeveless dress with tights that were a darker shade purple and on her feet were a pair of tennis shoes with butterfly wings on the ankles. Over her dress was a white translucent mesh coat, and in her hand was the ever famous cane.
"So, you were the one who akumatized this man?" Ladybug asked.
"Yes, I was," the young woman said. "I thought that he would be the best way to draw you out. Turns out, I was right."
"But why a criminal from prison?" Cat Noir exclaimed. "This mad man was one of the worst criminals in Paris!"
"And he wasn't the only way who got out today," the woman replied. "I must admit, while Hawk Moth was a clever man, he wasn't thinking big enough. Why bother turning civilians into supervillains when the worst people around are kept nice and snug in jail?"
Ladybug glowered at the young woman. "You are willing to collaborate with murderers to steal our Miraculous?"
"Steal your Miraculous?" the young woman asked, then laughed in a manner that was all too familiar to Ladybug - the laugh of her nemesis, Lila Rossi.
She suddenly stopped, and said, "Who said I was here to steal your Miraculous?"
The two heroes looked at each other, then stared at the Butterfly Miraculous holder. "What do you mean?" Cat Noir asked.
"I have told the League here that, when the time comes, they are free to destroy you in any way they want," she explained. "But first, I am going to tear you apart piece by piece. I am going to take away your friends, your family, your relationships - I am going to take away everything from you!"
"Why, because of me forcing ruining your chance to woo Adrien Agreste, Lila?" Ladybug shouted, revealing she knew her name.
Lila looked at her coldly, then admitted, "That is part of it, Ladybug. But it is also because of that promise I made you."
Ladybug looked at her in shock. "What promise?"
"The promise I made to you at school last year that caused our little war," the woman replied. "I think you would remember that promise very well, don't, Ladybug?"
That was when Ladybug realized something that horrified her. "You know who I am?"
"Yes, I do, Ladybug," the young woman said. "So I guess that means I should tell you who I am with the mask on. You can call me Chrysalis."
Ladybug took out her yoyo and began spinning it around. "LUCKY CHARM!" she yelled, and the piano from earlier transformed into a baton.
"Pretty cool trick," Chrysalis snarled, then turned to the League. "Take care of Cat Noir and the other kids. Ladybug is mine!"
"Aren't you bossy?" Tomura groaned, then charged at Cat Noir. The rest of the League attacked the other heroes and began their first battle in a new world.
Chrysalis, anxious to get her revenge on Ladybug, charged at her and swung her cane at the young lady. Ladybug dodged the attack, then swung her yoyo as a slicer to strike her new enemy. However, Chrysalis jumped back and - much to the surprise of everyone - began flying in the air.
"What in the?" Ladybug asked, then quickly moved to the side as Chrysalis flew own and attempted a kamikaze strike on the young Miraculous holder.
Ladybug turned to Cat Noir for support, but saw him battling against Tomura Shigaraki. As he struck the villain with his staff, Cat Noir asked, "Guess you must be pretty handy to have around!"
"Only when it comes to grinding heroes like you to dust!" Shigaraki snarled, grabbing at Cat Noir and causing his cat suit to turn to dust.
"Hey, that's my thing!" Cat Noir exclaimed, kicking Tomura back. As they continued fighting, Ladybug looked at the other UA classmates and saw them battling the other villains. Deku was dodging the slashes of the dirty blonde girl with the daggers, and Bakugo was blasting at the magician guy. Todoroki was exchanging fire with the burnt man, while Kirishima attacked the man in the black body suit. Iida fought the lizard guy, and Yaoyorozu was shooting the large transgender woman with cannons, which the woman blocked with ease.
Ladybug sighed, realizing she couldn't rely on anyone for help, then attacked Chrysalis. As she attacked her with her yoyo, Chrysalis flew around, using the wings on her shoes ankles to stay in the air. She laughed and mocked Ladybug, saying, "Must be surprising that the unbeatable Ladybug can be so easily beaten by a mere child!"
"And it's hard to believe that the great Lila Rossi would stoop so low to use actual criminals for her schemes!" Ladybug replied.
Chrysalis laughed, then flew down and struck at Ladybug. As the two fought a battle of speed and maneuverability, Cat Noir tried to join her, but Tomura blocked his path. As Deku went back-to-back with Cat Noir, the black cat asked, "Are these guys always this determined?"
"More or less," Deku replied, then smiled as he realized something. "Wait, Cat Noir! Ladybug can fix any damage from any battle she is a part of, right?"
"As long as the Lucky Charm is used, yes," Cat Noir said.
Deku smiled, then turned to Todoroki, yelling "Flash Freeze Heat Wave!"
The fire and ice prodigy nodded, then blasted a massive ice wall forward, before summoning a massive wall of flames that exploded so heavily, that the entire building exploded. Multiple students flew into the air thanks to the force of the shockwave.
"Gran Torino, catch anyone falling!" Deku yelled. "Kacchan, destroy the falling rubble!"
"On it!" Gran Torino yelled, moving as quickly as he could to catch any falling civilians.
"Don't give me orders, Deku!" Bakugo yelled, but pointed his hand at the falling concrete and began blasting multiple miniature shots at the rubble.
Ladybug looked at the attack and was impressed by Deku's quick thinking. However, this gave one of the still conscious League members the opportunity to strike her. As Ladybug fell to the ground, shocked by the attack, Chrysalis struck Ladybug with her Cane, knocking her out. As she fell unconscious, the new villain quickly akumatized her, turning her into a Ladybug with a costume that possessed the same color scheme as Antibug. She motioned the newly akumatized 'Karmabug' to attack Bakugo, which she did with enough force to cause a shockwave. As Bakugo fell unconscious, Chrysalis sent an akuma to him, transforming him into a more heavily armored version of himself.
"That isn't manly at all!" Kirishima yelled. "You shouldn't do that to my friends!"
"Surely a villain that claims to be stronger than Ladybug wouldn't revert to such dirty tricks!" Yaoyorozu said, firing a cannon at Chrysalis.
Chrysalis dodged the attack, and smiled. "Very well, I won't akumatize anyone else!"
Deku quickly used a Deleware Smash to strike down the new villains, then glared at Chrysalis. "What do you want with this school?"
"Nothing, I simply wanted to make an example out of Ladybug and her friends," Chrysalis said, pointing to something in the sky - a drone, Deku realized. "Now, if you excuse me, I have some very important updates to post on the web."
With that, she slammed her cane on the ground, and sent a massive purple shockwave that sent the heroes flying. She motioned for Kurogiri to warp them out, and thus the League escaped.
Ladybug struggled to her feet, then looked around. She then saw the drone in the air and realized what just happened. Throwing her baton at the drone, she destroyed it, then caught the baton as it bounced back to her. Tossing her baton into the sky, she yelled, "Miraculous Ladybug!"
As the baton flew into the air, she realized that she had a more dangerous foe than she realized. If the drone did record the entire battle, then it could be possible that Chrysalis would use the information to brag about her victory. She knew that the damage from the video about to be posted was going to be very serious.
Marinette looked at the video that was posted on youtube. It showed her, as Ladybug, being defeated by Chrysalis with relative ease. It showed her being akumatized by Chrysalis - something that had never happened when Gabriel had the Miraculous. It showed everything about the battle, and the heading made it worse.
LADYBUG DEFEATED BY CHRYSALIS! IS THIS THE HERO PARIS NEEDS?
Chrysalis had to be taken down and she needed to be taken down fast. Otherwise, her days as Ladybug would be ruined.
Calming down, she realized that there were a few advantages that she had over Chrysalis. She had knowledge of her identity, which meant she just needed to find where Lila was living right now. The other thing was that she had the UA Students, who had knowledge in the League, as well as a number of heroes who she can call forth to help her in battle. Chrysalis may have had knowledge of her secret identity, and must have found a way to create as many akumas as she wants, she still didn't have knowledge in how to lead a team. Ladybug will find Chrysalis, and will defeat her.
Meanwhile, in the Lunar Prison - the place where the United Heroez place some of their most dangerous villains - Ignolobia, Technopirate, Cash, et cetera - All For One walked around in his cell - a large glass box that, if cracked in any way, would cause him to float off into space. Considering how dangerous he was, he was glad they gave him a challenge.
Turning on the TV, he listened to the news. He couldn't see, thanks to his injuries from All Might, but the news was still very interesting.
"Don't be bemused, it's just the news," he heard a voice said. "I'm Nadja Chamack, and I bring you terrible news. Weeks after the defeat of the villain known as All For One, a group of criminals attacked the newly made Gabriel Agreste College. According to some of the students, the group calls themselves the League of Villains, and are allies of All For One. Most surprising of all, though, was the discovery that they had joined forces with the new holder of the Moth Miraculous, Chrysalis. She had posted a video of the attack, and be warned, this may not be suitable for children."
"This is just one of those days when I wish I wasn't blind," All For One said, smiling sadistically. If this Chrysalis and the Lague managed to bring chaos to the world and eventually decide to free him, perhaps his plan may come to fruition. "But perhaps this is an opportunity for my dear Tomura to learn. I will enjoy watching this very much."
I realized that maybe I had the genre wrong, so I did a few changes to the rating, genre and some of the earlier chapters. Also, I would really like to know how I can improve this story moving forward. Please let me know in comments
