The car sped through the night, tension radiating from Snow's determined expression. Andrew's concern was palpable, his voice tinged with caution.
"Are we certain about this, Snow?" Andrew's voice held a note of worry.
"We can't wait any longer," Snow asserted firmly. "Red's life is on the line. We need answers now."
They arrived at a nondescript house, Snow's knock met with the gaze of a woman. Inquiring about Joshua, Red's fiancé, Snow's heart raced as he emerged from the shadows, his eyes widening in surprise.
"What's happening?" Joshua's voice quivered, a mix of confusion and concern.
But then Joshua realized that maybe the trip that Red and Snow went to got finished early and Red's back too.
Joshua whispers to Snow excitedly,"Is red here too?"
A heavy silence settled as Snow's lips parted, revealing the staggering truth. "You're not aware?"
Snow suddenly realized that Red did tell about their trip to Joshua which they never went to but Josh doesn't know that.
Snow immediately replied to her own statement,"Oh! You don't know."
At this moment, Joshua gets all confused and a bit agitated. "What are you talking about. What do I not know? And the biggest question is where is Red?"
Snow replied,"Josh, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. The thing is, Red and I went to a carnival where I blacked out and when I woke up, I found Red missing."
Josh loses his mind completely after hearing this.
"And from how long is she missing?"
"August 4."
"She's been missing for four days and now, you decide to tell me."
Andrew finally talks in order to defend Snow.
"Actually, Snow had no idea and secondly, we were hoping you'd fill us in on something about your fiance. After all, Snow has already done everything in her power to find Red. It's time, you should help too aside from just doing what we're doing for the past 15 minutes."
Joshua went silent and then called them inside to figure out a way to actually find Red.
In the dim light of the living room, Snow painted a vivid picture of their desperate search and the shadows that cast a pall over their lives. She mentioned David, the enigmatic figure entwined in their mission.
"David's been aiding our search," Snow's voice wavered slightly as she held out the earring she had discovered at his residence. "I found this earring at David's place. It belongs to Red."
Joshua's hand reached for the earring, his fingers brushing the familiar trinket. Suddenly, his features twisted with a maelstrom of emotions—confusion, anger, and disbelief.
"Who's David and Why on earth does he have my Red's earring?" Joshua's voice held a raw intensity, his gaze locked onto the piece of jewelry as though it held the answers to a puzzle beyond comprehension.
Snow noticed Joshua's gaze shift, his eyes widening. A change swept over him, his body tensing, and then his gaze settled on the doorway.
Snow told everything about Red's involvement with David to Joshua leaving no details behind.
"And when did this happen?"
Snow saw Joshua's tone suddenly being really serious and was a bit agitated by this as he might would've wanted to hear this from Red.
"Actually, it was some years ago."
"That's not possible."
"Why would you say that?"
Snow asked out of curiosity.
"Because I gave her these on her birthday this year, which was on 22nd April."
"No, but she always used to wear these from the moment she met me."
"But they weren't silver were they?
Snow remembers suddenly that Red always used to talk about Silver earrings but she had white earrings actually in her possession.
"They were white."
"Obviously and the ones I gave her were Blue. That clears out that this David you're telling about is clearly lying."
Snow's heart still feels that perhaps this David guy might be telling the truth but her brain says otherwise.
