Chapter 1
Vergil (Devil May Cry)
"Servant Saber, responding to your summons. I'll ask you this once… are you my master?"
Shirou did not know what to say. His mouth was left open in awe of the being in front of him. This man… Could he even be called that? The amount of power dripping from his presence alone was terrifying and shocking. Something of this magnitude should be amount to a divine-being… yet his visage was without a doubt a humane one.
With white hair slicked back, a black coat and a dark blue shirt underneath it, black pants and black pants, he seemed to be quite the enigmatic individual. His only visible weapon, the one used to parry the spear that was meant to pierce Shirou, was a katana. One that had not even been unsheathed yet. The sheer strength of the sheath was more than enough to parry the murderous weapon of the attacker.
The gaze of the man pierced right through the boy, calculative and cold. Shirou could only utter these words out of shock and lack of understanding.
"Master?"
The man closes his eyes and turns to face his opponent outside.
"It seems that you have no understanding of the situation that you're in. No matter. I have no clue on how you managed to summon me, nor should I care."
He slowly walks forth before lifting his weapon. His thumb just under the hilt of the sword.
"I do have a wish I need to get after all."
He then flicks his thumb to show a bit of his blade. Shining under the moonlight, Shirou could instantly tell that sword was an amazing one. Just by looking at it, he could tell that it's sharpness could cut through almost anything. However, not even a split second after unveiling the blade, he vanished. Leaving some form of light blue outline before it faded into particles.
Shirou runs out of his spot, shaking himself out of his shock and weakness before yelling out. "What wish?!"
The spearman and Saber began to meet in combat. It went so fast, that Shirou could not even see what was happening in the space between them. The first one to retreat was the spear wielder. Saber jumped back soon after.
The blue-clothed man looked ticked. "Tch."
He thrust his spear forward once more in order to continue the fight. He had the longer reaching weapon and could reasonably pierce the heart of Saber as he would be unable to reach him. In a burst of speed, his spear ended up being close to the chest of his opponent.
But in a flick of speed, Saber was blinked to the right, leaving that same blue outline.
Eyes widening at the sheer speed it took to dodge that, he was forced to quickly step back as Saber rushed forth with his katana. Blocking the upward slash, the blue man was forced to retreat as Saber simply watched him do so.
Saber smirked as he stepped back while sheathing his blade. "What's the matter, Lancer? Where's your motivation?"
The now identified man, Lancer, turns to look at Saber. "Bastard. You're a Saber class servant. But I've never heard of a foreigner that could wield the katana so well nor move just as fast." He points his spear towards Saber, as though he had a point to make. "So, who the hell are you?"
Saber stood still with his katana on standby, ready to strike. "I see that you're fishing for information, aren't you? Sadly, you're doing a poor job of it." He lifts his weapon towards Lancer, as though mocking him. "But in terms of information, I've managed to deduce who you truly are… Cu Chulainn."
The shocked look didn't go unnoticed by the swordsman. He pressed on. "In my own personal pursuit of power, I have sought knowledge as well. In them, I also learned of various legends of history."
He then got into a crouched stance while returning his sword to his side. He seemed to be ready to unsheathe it at any moment now.
"There are many things in your legend that are… curious. The witch, Scathach, taught you the skills you have today. Runes, the way of the spear, and so much more. Your tenacity was also something to be feared, having your own insides chained to a rock while you fought back till your dying breath."
Lancer seemed to be defensive as he began to walk back.
"Knowing this, I expected a lot more from you. But it seems that you're holding back, whether it be by command spells or some pity out of me, I take it as an insult."
Lancer seemed to be even more shocked before laughing loudly. It was as though he heard a good joke at the bar with his friends.
Lancer also gets into position as he readies his spear to be thrust. "Yeah. Sorry about that. But you're right. My coward of a master used a command seal on me to prevent me from even going all out."
Then his face turned feral. His eyes flare up and his magical energy begins to leak out like bloodlust. After all, this was the Hound of Chulainn. He found his prey and is now ready to hunt him down. His spear begins crackles with magical energy. Red lightning coming out of the tip of the spear and crimson energy flow to its tip. He smirks as he prepares his ultimate attack.
"However, I can still use my Noble Phantasm."
To this, Vergil chuckles. "Interesting. Although you are allowed your greatest weapon, you are denied your own skills and strengths. That may be what would lead to your downfall."
"Really now, it's a shame. I would have loved to have a duel with you."
Powerless, Shirou could only act as a spectator to the spectacle that was happening in front of him. His hands turn into fists as they tighten, anger forms at his own powerlessness.
What happens in the next few seconds would forever be engrained into his memories.
Rushing forward, Lancer thrusts his spear as he announces the name of his Noble Phantasm. "GAE BOLG!"
Saber simply unsheathed his blade and sheathed it once more. The result?
Lancer was instantly parried and eyes widen once more as space itself were reflecting all the slashes down. There were dozens of slashes formed in the air between them, curved and straight.
Retreating almost instantly thanks to his own disengage skill, he stares at the warrior in front of him with nothing more than a question, ringing through his mind.
"Who the hell are you? That spear had the ability to reverse cause and effect and you managed to deflect it."
Saber stares down at the legend.
"How boring. That was not even your best."
Lancer's eyes bulge as he stares at the insult given to him.
"Tch."
Lancer turns as he seemingly ignores the insult and jumps over the wall leading outside.
Saber looks at him questioningly. "You're leaving? Already?"
The blue-haired man shrugs. "My master used a command seal on me to retreat once I use my Noble Phantasm."
He turns to look at Saber with a feral smile.
"But this isn't over yet, Saber."
And with that, Lancer vanishes into the night. Leaving Saber and Shirou behind.
Shirou, shaking off the shock on the spectacle that had happened before him, rushes towards the stranger that saved his life.
"Tch." Saber said, as he clicked his teeth.
Saber turns to quickly glare at his newly found master. Yet he felt another's presence similar to the Lancer that recently retreated.
"Stay still boy. It seems that there are some other matters that I have to attend to."
With that, he leaps beyond the walls of the residence to clash blades with another opponent.
Perhaps this one would be worthy enough to be his opponent?
.
.
.
"You still wish to fight despite your powerlessness?" Saber asked him in surprise. He could not act his strongest due to the lack of mana, but his access to most his skills and weapons made up for it. It was a pity he could not access his Devil Trigger nor his Doppelganger form, but his own talents would suffice.
Still, the boy was weak. It was obvious and apparent that he could not do anything on his own. So why was he going so far?
Shirou nodded. "Yeah. I understand that I'm powerless, but that's why I want to rely on you Saber."
Vergil was about to say something before he felt it. It seemed that the Archer had felt it as well as he had manifested before his own Master.
"Rin. This is- "
Tohsaka Rin grabbed a few gems before nodding back. "Yeah. This is one powerful Servant."
It was an understatement. No, it was downright a flat out joke to just consider what was coming out to be powerful. Only he knew what this meant.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
"My own sins have come to haunt me it seems."
There, a small girl that appeared to be no older than eleven appeared. She wore purple clothes from her hat to her boots, had hair as white as the falling snow, and eyes as red as blood. However, there was something else that stood out besides her. A figure donned in black.
His armor similar to that of an old knight, his helmet baring the face of a human yet the horns of a demon, and wielding a great sword that held the power of lightning.
Archer's eyes were wide open as he stared at the new incoming servant. This was not the towering figure he fought in the past. Instead it was a blackened knight bearing the helmet of a demon. His sword seems to be as large.
'This is not Heracles… Who the hell is this?"
Saber simply walked forward, trying his best to hide his own discomfort, his own shame at the figure before him. Who this was to him was pretty obvious to him already.
He held the sheathe of his katana and stared at the Servant before him. "This Servant's class is most likely Berserker. His true name is Nelo Angelo."
The little girl, who appeared to be the Master of Berserker did not appear to be shocked. If she was, she hid it well. "Eeeh. How do you know my Servant, Saber?" Her tone was sweet, but the aura around her was threatening. This was not a simple question, but a demand that had to be answered.
The frown on his face deepened. The second of silence felt like an eternity to the two young Masters about to face this Servant, but the answer came after that moment.
"I know him because he was my failure in defeating my brother. Born from my own incompetence, a being that haunts me every single day, intoxicating me." His eyes flash with a blue anger.
He flicked his sword out and pointed it directly towards him. "That Servant is me."
Eyes widened in shock from both sides, no more room for conversation was needed for the two as they both rushed out with their swords at ready. One a mindless beast enslaved in his own mind and the other willing to put an end to the nightmare that is his own existence.

Meanwhile, in the Ryuudou temple, a rather large bird lands in front of the gate. There, a sickly man sat down reading a book with the cover holding nothing more than a letter. He was so thin, you could see individual bones from his body. He wore nothing more than a torn up black jacket with black pants and shoes.
"Uuuuh, hey man. It seems those two already met. What do we do now?"
The man smirked. "It is an easy thing to talk about the patience of the inflicted."
He closed the book. "And so, it is written." He did not notice the bird jump up over his shoulder. The bird then proceeded to peck him on the head.
"The hell is that supposed to mean man?"
Annoyed, the man picked up his cane and swatted him away. "It means that I need to wait for a little bit of time to fight myself. After all, I am quite the stubborn piece of work and still need to figure things out."
Then from the shadows, a panther comes out and purs. Contrasting the black, lines of purple slightly glow as it moves.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever you say V."
With that, the second Caster Servant that replaced the false Assassin remained by the gates. The figment of humanity abandoned by the demonic side remained still.
.
.
.
Meanwhile in the depths of a cavern somewhere in the city, he sat on his throne. A monstrous king that towered over humanity, a being that claimed to be the King of the Underworld. With tentacles that were connected from the Grail to his spine.
"Power… I need more… power…"
He slumbered still; his form forever stuck by the grail. But he would be awakened soon.
You will not forget this devil's power.

Vergil from Devil May Cry enters Fate Stay Night. Featuring Vergil from the Devil May Cry Series, Vergil's mind-controlled form from Devil May Cry, Vergil's human form from Devil May Cry 5 and Vergil's demon form from Devil May cry 5.
I had this in my files for months after listening to Bury the Light for nth amount of times. I just decided to post this now. If it's liked or not, it's fine. I just wanted to write this.
I also know how unoriginal this is, but it's been festering in my mind. I can't help but write it.
Don't expect this to be all Shirou only. I could end up with Apocrypha and Grand Order, or even Zero. I just picked Fate/Stay Night because it's the easiest introduction to a Servant with a scene that shows their power instantly.
Don't expect Extra or CCC though… I'm still playing Extra and have no clue what I'm doing and CCC has no translation. So, I'm studying Japanese to at least play it.
Also, to simp for Inais, but you can ignore that.
Anyway, thanks for reading! If not, then thank you for your time!
