"Well Sasuke, I'm impressed; I've never seen a resume as good as yours. Well, you are an Uchiha after all." Ino Yamamaka said to him as she further inspected his resume.
"I am curious though, why would someone like you want to work in a flower shop like this? I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, but it says here you are heir to Uchiha Corp now. You shouldn't be in need of this job."
"I need a side job before I can take over the CEO position; apparently, I have to prove that I'm capable of working in crappy places like this." The Uchiha said without a care in the world.
Ino's eye twitched listening to his words, "Keep up that attitude and you'll be out of here in seconds. Keep in mind the only reason I am actually hiring you is because your pretty face will bring more customers, Uchiha."
Sasuke rolled his eyes at her words. No matter where he went people would somehow always mention his looks. It was annoying.
"You start tomorrow, Uchiha. 8 am sharp; don't be late. One of my other employees will be here to help you understand the basics of this job. I will be busy for the rest of the week, so don't expect me to be there." She said a little too excitedly, and she even had a small blush on her face.
"Here is your apron; you have to wear it while working. Just come in wearing a black shirt and black pants." She handed him his apron and practically pushed him out of her office. "Oh, and don't be late tomorrow! Remember, at 8 am sharp!"
As Sasuke walked out of the flower shop, he saw a girl with dark hair fixing the arrangement of the flowers in the window. Her hair was long and straight. He only caught a glimpse of her face after that. She had caught him staring and gave him a small smile. He just stared until she turned away. Embarrassed by what just happened, he walked away.
Sasuke arrived at his apartment, hoping his idiotic roommate wouldn't be there. His eye twitched at the thought of having to hear his loud, obnoxious friend.
Naruto had somehow convinced him into being his roommate. He claimed he needed company since he was far from having a girlfriend. At the time, Sasuke was just thinking about all the pros coming from that situation, so he agreed.
As he was taking off his shoes at the entrance of his home, someone opened the door and practically yelled into his ear, "Oh hey, Teme! I didn't think you would be home this early! How was your job interview? You know you should've just accepted the job I offered you!"
"Hm." Sasuke, being Sasuke, just walked away and went into his room, completely ignoring the blonde. "HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU!" His head was throbbing for some reason.
After sitting on his bed for a while just staring into nothing while deep in thought, he finally decided to sleep.
Its only 5. I'll take a short nap then go for a walk before dinner. Ugh I can't believe I'm being forced to go to that stupid dinner with my father. That won't stop me from being at least a little bit productive though.
"Sasuke, come here! It's urgent!"
After hearing that, any thought of sleep was taken away from her. What could be so urgent that he would have to get out of bed?
He sighed, getting out of his warm, comfortable bed and making his way to the kitchen. "What's up, did that girl from the coffee shop finally reject you?" Sasuke said with a smirk as he walked towards Naruto.
"There's actually something here for you," Naruto said in a serious tone. That's when Sasuke knew it was actually important. Naruto was never serious...
Naruto passed him the letter that had been dropped off. Once Sasuke saw the name on the letter, he froze.
Hinata was in her apartment getting ready to go out with her friends. She normally wasn't one to go to the club, but it was Tenten's birthday. How could she miss her best friend's birthday just because she was a scaredy cat?
After putting on her earrings, she took a moment to look at herself in the full-length mirror. She was wearing a black strapless dress. It was skin-tight, making her feel exposed from every angle. She had chosen this dress because she didn't want to stand out with a bright color; Ino would've made her wear something even worse if she had shown up with a different dress.
Taking one last glance at herself, she walked out of her apartment and made her way to the club. She had been supposed to go with her friends, but she'd left work a little late, so she was now the last one to arrive.
"Hinata! Over here!" Tenten yelled as she finally spotted her friend entering the club. As soon as Hinata reached their table, Tenten continued, "You finally made it, Hinata! We've been waiting for you for ages! I even thought you might not show up."
Hinata replied to her with, "I'm sorry Tenten, I had to close the shop today." She said with a sad expression on her face.
Temari was just waiting for Hinata to arrive so they could start drinking. "Well, now that she's here, can we finally get something to drink?"
"Have some self-respect, Temari," said Ino. "And yes, now you can." Hinata just giggled at the interaction between her friends.
Hinata had never been one to drink. But right now, she just really needed it. She drank and drank.
At some point her friends wanted to go dance. She being Hinata declined. She didn't want to go and dance infront of millions of people. "Suit yourself Hinata, but if you need us just go over there" Temari explained as she pointed to the center of the club. "Got it Temari, now go have fun!" She said with a small smile on her face.
Once Temari was gone, Hinata made her way to a stool in front of the bar. She ordered her drink and zoned out completely.
That was until a man approached her and sat down next to her. "Hey, what's a pretty little lady like you doing at a place like this?"
She only replied with "Oh you know.."
"Well how about you and I go to some place more priva-"
"She's not interested," said a man who was now sitting next to Hinata. When had he gotten there? She hadn't even noticed when he had sat down next to her. "And who are you to tell me what to do?" said the old man who was on her right.
The man with the slicked back hair and piercing eyes glared at the old man. That was when the man froze, as if realizing who he was. "I-I'm sorry, sir. Please forgive me." He quickly made his way away from both of them as fast as he could.
Hinata was still trying to comprehend what had just happened. Who was this man that was sitting with her? She quickly stuttered a thank you. "Thank you so much sir," she said, bowing her head a little. "I don't know how I could ever repay you for getting me out of that situation..." The man just stared at her until he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her in closer.
Hinata looked up at him in shock until he explained. "I helped you, now you help me. See those girls over there, they are about to come and ask me to sit with them. Your job is to pretend to be my girlfriend." Hinata blushed slightly as she listened to the words being whispered into her ear. She turned her head to the girls and quickly snapped back once she saw one of them heading towards them.
After a few seconds, she heard a girl approach the man. "Hey, my friend thinks you're kinda cute." "Not interested." The man replied coldly. "Oh come on, it's not like you're here with anybody..." The young woman said, trying her best to sound seductive.
"Actually, he's here with me, his girlfriend." Hinata did not know what had taken over her; suddenly, she just started playing her role and got closer to the man. "Oh, okay then, never mind," said the young girl as she walked away in disappointment. Once she was a good distance away, Hinata returned to her original seat.
"Now we are even, uh..." the man asked as if wondering what her name was. So she replied with, "Hinata." She just looked at him until he said, "Sasuke."
As Sasuke saw the bartender put a drink in front of Hinata and point to a man from the other side of the bar, he tapped her shoulder. When she turned towards him, he pointed to the exit door.
She nodded, and followed him.
