Sakura glanced at Sasuke, all red in the face and embarrassed. This wasn't how it was supposed to look, but her plans had gone to waste and now instead of pretty, beautifully decorated cupcakes she had one big mush.

And time could not be turned back.

"Sorry."

She moved the box away from the boy's nose, hiding her defeat from his view. He'd better not look at it a minute longer.

Her long hair covered her face, not allowing Sasuke to look at her any longer. What she wanted most in this situation was to move away and disappear, but a strong hand prevented her from doing so. Sakura lifted her gaze noticing the palm on the top of her head. However, before she had time to look at the expression on her friend's face he had pulled her close and rested her forehead against his chest.

"Thanks for the gift." he did not stare at her.

The heart skipped one beat. Maybe there was nothing to stress about? Sakura didn't know, but she smiled broadly and clamped her hand over his, pulling it off her head, then cheerfully said:

"Happy birthday, Sasuke-kun!"
