Skipper looked at the egg with tears in his eyes; he had just witnessed his beloved wife, Rose, being eaten by a sea lion. Skipper sobbed, clutching the small egg close to his chest, as his father-in-law came to his side and placed a flipper on Skipper's shoulder.

"Skipper, Rose would have wanted you to be strong. Do it for the egg, do it for my Granddaughter or grandson." Kowalski says as Skipper nodded at Kowalski and got up holding the egg in his flippers

"I know, I know she would Kowalski. Time to leave boys." Skipper says walking with his team and his family

Skipper had a new responsibility now and that was to take care of their child. Skipper had no time grive over his deceased wife for he had to be strong not only for his team but for his child.

Finally, the day arrived when the egg hatched at the New York Zoo, where the penguins' new home was. Skipper smiled happily, holding the tiny baby penguin girl in his arms and hugging her close to him.

Raven, my beautiful Raven. Don't you worry; Papa will protect you," Skipper promised the baby penguin and he smiled through his tears, seeing that she had her mother's green eyes.

Private,Rico and Kowalski surrounded Skipper smiling at the new addition to the family. They waited for a while for this little one to be born and finally she was here. All four of them promised they would not breath a word of how they were related to her expect Skipper who was her father.

Five years later

Skipper was playing cards with Rico when he heard Julien's radio blaring loudly, annoying the four of them. Skipper sighed, looking at the time; it was Raven's naptime. Why had Ringtail decided to play his stupid boom box now?

Skipper sighed as Private said, "Skipper, King Julian is at it again with his boom box." Nodding, Skipper glanced over at Raven who was looking at her three uncles.

Raven asked, "Papa, can I go?" as she looked at him and he shook his head.

Skipper didn't want his little girl to get hurt, especially since she was his only child. Julien, on the other hand, was an overgrown toddler with a crown who called himself "the King of New York." This irritated Skipper greatly, as he felt that Julien thought he could get away with anything simply because he believed he was the ruler of New York City.

" No you are staying here that's an order, alright Kowalski you stay with Raven, Rico and Private come with me." Skipper said as they left and Raven looked at her uncle sadly

" Uncle Kowalski why can't I go?" Raven asked as Kowalski sighed and gently rubbed her head

Kowalski knew why Skipper protected Raven because of what happened to Rose who was his own daughter but he couldn't tell Raven who he was to her. Kowalski smiled sadly at her staring at his daughter's eyes and Kowalski teared up in sadness.

" Because your to little Raven your only five, we can't let anything happen to you now come." Kowalski said walking and she followed

Raven wanted to show her daddy she wasn't a baby anymore. So when her uncle was asleep, she left the base and found her father. Raven climbed up a tree and began watching from a tree branch. Then, a branch that she was sitting on started to break. Private saw her on the tree branch noticed the branch breaking and panicked.

" Skipper, Raven tree." Private said as Skipper looked to the tree and saw his daughter

Raven! Don't move, young lady," Skipper said angrily as he climbed the tree, grabbed his daughter carefully and skillfully got her down from the tree.

Once Skipper had her down, he checked her for any signs of injury. Once he was sure she was okay, he placed his flippers on his hips and looked at her sternly.

What were you thinking, young lady? You could have gotten hurt! Or worse! Where is your uncle? Why isn't he watching you?" Skipper said sternly and he was very angry.

"He's asleep," Raven said softly. "I just wanted to help you." Raven looked down at the floor, her eyes filled with tears. Skipper gently picked her up.

Skipper carried her home with Rico and Private following him. When Skipper got home, he saw Kowalski there who looked like he had been searching for Raven. When Kowalski saw Raven in Skipper's arms, he looked at Skipper.

Skipper, I," Kowalski said as Skipper stopped him by his flipper and looked at him.

"I don't want to hear it." Skipper says angrily and walked to Raven's room with her in his arms

Once Skipper had placed her on the bed, he closed the door behind her. Turning to her, his expression was one of anger mixed with disappointment; she had disobeyed him, which was the first time she had ever done so. He knew he couldn't let it slide, as it could happen again.

He looked at her and she wasn't looking at him. He grabbed her chin and lifted it up. Raven looked at her father with tears in her eyes, but he maintained his stern face.

I told you to stay here; you disobeyed me, young lady. Why didn't you listen to me, Raven? Anything could have happened to you." Skipper said as Raven sniffled and looked down.

"I'm sorry, Papa," Raven whispered through tear-filled eyes as he placed her over onto his lap and he raised his flipper

Skipper's heart ached at the thought of having to spank his little girl for the first time, but he knew he had to teach her to obey him. It would be painful, but as a father, he had to do what was necessary.

The first smack landed on her bottom and she squealed in pain; Skipper kept spanking her until her bottom was red. He then held her close after the spanking was done and she cried in his arms.

"Shhhh, Shhh, Papa's got you, it's over Raven, please listen to me from now on okay? I don't want to do this again." Skipper said gently and he held her close.

"O...kay, Papa. I'm sorry," Raven sobbed as she buried her face in his chest and he held her tighter.

Skipper let Raven take a nap while he left the room, sighing in hating the fact he spanked his daughter. After her nap, they had dinner together before Skipper took her to her room for an early bedtime. He read to her and smiled as she drifted off to sleep.

" I love you no matter what no matter how naughty you are my Raven. Papa still loves you with all his heart." Skipper whispers to her and kissed her forehead

Skipper left the room smiling and started to clean the base of their home. Kowalski apologized to Skipper but Skipper already forgave him. All that matter was Raven was home safe and sound that's all that mattered.
