A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 Prologue

Ever since last year when he first discovered that he is actually a wizard Harry has been more than happy. Going to a brand new school, being introduced to a whole other life, and the first time ever making actual friends his age made it the best time of his life.

Then, quite unwillingly, Harry had to leave back to his dreary, miserable, and unhappy existence at Privet Drive with his Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. It may just be until September and the school year starts up again, but these are going to be the longest couple of months of his life.

What doesn't make it any easier is that Uncle Vernon had locked his spell books, his wand, robes, cauldron, and Nimbus Two Thousand in the cupboard he used to sleep in under the stairs the moment he'd come home. Leaving him unable to do any of his summer school work or revisit the memories he made while at Hogwarts. The few things he did manage to keep out of there are his owl Hedwig and a photo album that was gifted to him last year. Sure the Dursleys have been walking around on practical eggshells with him upon the return which made things slightly better, but it's not that much palpable.

What most certainly doesn't help is that something appears to be up with Bailey lately. It's only been a small handful of weeks since they came back home, but the change is very notable.

Specifically the change in behavior and weight gain. Harry has caught on to a slight swell in Bailey's stomach that hadn't been there when they left Hogwarts. And given the amount and access to food has lowered her stomach shouldn't be growing like that. Along with her lack in luster appetite. As time slowly goes on with her stomach continues to expand in contrast to her appetite and food consumption Harry becomes extremely concerned that something can be seriously wrong.

It's the last thing Harry wants to resort to doing, but he ends up begging Uncle Vernon to take Bailey and him to the vet for a checkup. To keep up with appearances Uncle Vernon takes them to the nearby clinic where Bailey has been a patient in the past. As Uncle Vernon and Harry are in the reception area he can hear the older man muttering under his breath the inconvenience in time and expense behind this medical visit all for nothing in his eyes.

Soon enough Bailey was brought out by the veterinarian with the results of the x-rays they'd taken of Bailey's stomach to see what might be causing her strange behavioral patterns.

The results are surprising and completely unexpected.

Something Harry never really considered at all given they're around each other all the time 24/7. He can't quite comprehend how something like this could've been brought to fruition on his watch.

Inside the x-rays contained with Bailey's stomach are the shapes and images of miniscule lifeforms taking shape within her womb. Not just one but multiple.

Bailey is pregnant with a litter of puppies.

The realization and confirmation of this diagnosis do leave Harry in shock and a fuming Uncle Vernon sitting in barely restrained anger beside him.

How the hell did this happen?!

I'm still stuck on how many babies Bailey should have when her labor begins. How many puppies do you think Bailey should have at the end of her pregnancy? Even though there was a declared amount in the ultrasound, but everyone knows how unpredictable these can sometimes be.

Also, I'm still taking suggestions for what you guys want to see occur in future installments. I can't guarantee that I'll use all of them, but I'm open to listening to them.

I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
