Summary: Griffin tells Dennis to take his niece Beth to the school prom, because her old crush dumped her.
This chapter is the parody of the episode: The Chaperone.
One morning, Dennis was busy playing in his room, when he heard someone bursting through the hotel doors, crying. It was an invisible little girl, as she cried, "Uncle Griffin! Uncle Griffin!".
Griffin noticed the girl, and quickly comforted her. "Don't cry, Beth.", Griffin said, "Uncle's here.". Beth was Griffin's niece, and she wore a blue hair bow, and the same glasses as her uncle.
"What's wrong with Beth?", Dennis asked Griffin, to which Griffin said, "Her old crush has dumped him, and the worst part is, that's right on the day of her school prom!". "Well, how about getting her a new date?", Dennis suggested.
"That's not possible!", Beth said to her friend, "There is only one monster who is long, tan, and hansome!". Beth soon resumes her crying. "I'll take you.", Griffin suggested, but that caused his niece to cry some more.
"Okay, how about Quasimodo.", Griffin suggested, but to his surprise, Quasimodo was gone. "I can take you.", Dennis said, but Beth said, "That won't work! I'm 3 years older than you!". Dennis knew that Beth was right, as he is 5, and she was 8.
"Okay then.", Griffin said, as he told everyone, "Which one of you lovebirds, would want to take my niece, Beth to the prom!". Soon, most of the humans and monsters leftm which caused Beth to say, "Just don't be late, Dennis.".
"Now listen, Dennis.", Griffin said, "You better not screw this up... Huh?". He soon noticed the REAL Dennis behind him, and said that he was talking to a dummy.
"Anyway!", Griffin resumed, "I need you to take Beth to the prom!". Dennis happily agreed, saying that he's a prom expert, but the thing is, he was a prom failure, as he doesn't know anything about prom nights?
"Oh, Tinkles.", Dennis said, "What should I do?". "I don't even remember any time like that!", he said, but Tinkles told Dennis about one time when he and Winnie 'dated', but Dennis said that it was a Valentine's Day dance.
"How am I supposed to be like Beth's old boyfriend? Who is long, tan, and handsome?", Dennis asked himself, until an idea sparked in his mind.
As he walked over to the table, Tinkles was holding a magazine which featured everything about men's fashion. "Say, this magazine gives me an idea!", Dennis said, as he got himself ready, by being long, tan, and handsome. After his suit was finished, he is ready to impress Beth.
When Dennis arrived at Griffin's room, Griffin was shocked to see that Dennis went a bit too far to become a substitute date for Beth. When Beth sees Dennis, she said, "Well, at least no one would recognize you.".
Beth was wearing a blue prom dress, with purple sequins. "Yeah.", Dennis said, "But now we should get to the gym where the prom is being set up.".
When Dennis and Beth went to the prom, there were lots of other monster and human dates. Dennis just looked around, hopefully this scheme would be the ticket in order to make Bath happy.
"Well, what should we do?", Beth said all excited, to which Dennis pulled out his schedule that he made. "Well, maybe...", he tried to say, before being blinded by a flash from a photographer. "Yay, my first prom picture!", Beth said, to which Dennis corrected, "You mean, OUR first prom picture.".
"Well, yeah.", Beth said, until she noticed some of the other dates. "There are some of the other dates.", Beth whispers into Dennis' ear, "Go get some punch!". Dennis did get to the punch, but is struggling.
"Hey Beth.", one of the monster dates said, "I'd like you to meet my date, Carl Cabra!". The chupacabra said, "Sup.". "And,", another one of the dates said, "I'd like you to meet my date, Gary Norman.". The human said, "Hey.". "Where's your date?", one of the human dates said.
"He's over there getting some punch.", Beth said, to which Dennis is still struggling. Soon, he grabbed two glasses of punch, but then spilled some, and it absorbed into his hair. "You mean that tall guy?", the monster date said.
"Let's go see how ugly Cindy's dress is!", Beth panicked, as she escorts everyone. "Dennis, what are you doing?!", Beth asked, noticing that Dennis has turned a juice maker. "Uh, trying to serve punch?", Dennis said with embarrassment.
"Listen, you're blowing it...", Beth said, until she gasped. "Beth, what's wrong?", Dennis asked, to which in front of her was Octavius Rex, aka long, tan, and handsome. "Hey.", Octavius said, "How's your new boyfriend.".
"Well,", Dennis said, "I hope he isn't going to win the Regional Romantic Dance Competition!", as he held up a trophy, to which one of the girls said, "Give that back!".
"Okay,", Dennis said, "Let's get our own trophy.". As Dennis and Beth went to the dance floor, Dennis wanted to do various moves, but Beth said, "Everyone is busy doing, 'The Whack' Dennis.".
Dennis noticed that she was right, as everyone was doing that said dance. So Dennis, wanting to be a good sport, wanted to join in, but ends up making mistakes, like bumping into people and leaping into a painting.
"Well,", Beth said, "I guess you can take me home now.". Dennis wanted to help, but as he went through the list, his eyes started to tear up, and cries, even turning into his bat form and flew into the bathroom.
"What have you done?!", one of the dates said, "You must have may him cry.". Beth realized that she has made Dennis cry, and decided to go see if he's okay. "Are you okay?", Beth asked.
"I messed everything up!", Dennis cried, but Beth said, "You didn't really mess everything up.". Dennis was still crying so much, that he mumbled, and said, "Hot dog!". "Yeah,", Beth said, "It was funny when that hot dog landed in Judy's hair.". "But I just wanted to have a good time!", Dennis cried, but Beth said that she WAS having a good time.
"You know,", Beth said, "We haven't finished our dance yet.". "Can I still wear the wig?", Dennis sniffled, and Beth said, "Yes, you can still wear the wig.". Dennis, now all excited, went out of the bathroom and decided to dance.
"Alright you ghouls and boys!", a record started to say, "I'm going to teach you how to do, 'The Bounce'!". As the song plays, Dennis did the moves along with Beth. The song played, "Well, first you take your leg, and you stick it in the air. And then you take the other one, and jam it right up there. Twist yourself around, and do a great big pounce. Now you're doing The Bounce!.".
Various other dates are doing the dance, but Beth and Dennis are naturals while the others are getting cramps. "Can I dance with you?", Octavius said, but Beth interrupted, "Get lost pizza topping, can't you see I'm doing The Bounce!".
Soon, everyone was not having fun, except Dennis and Beth. Dennis turned into a basketball, and Beth was dribbling him around the court, and then made a slam dunk. Soon, all the our prom guests were tired, and as Beth and Dennis were cheering, "Yeah, we're popular.", they kicked them out.
"I'm sorry.", Dennis said with disappointment as he walked Beth back home. "It's okay,", Beth said, "As far as disasters go, it's kinda fun.".
After Dennis took Beth home, Griffin thanks him, only for Dennis to just stand still. This is because, he was the same dummy as before, because the real Dennis was in his room playing with Winnie.
