Scooby: Previously on Mystery Incorporated
As one of the Crystal Cove Yearbooks fell Out of the Backpack,Onto the Ground.
"This is One of the Old Crystal Cove Yearbooks," Daphne notified as She picked It Up,And,Handed It to Velma.
"Hey, Look,There is a Page Marked," Fred announced as Him,Shaggy,Scooby, and Louis Walked and Rolled Out of the Van,And,Stood and Sat Behind Daphne and Velma,Looking at the Yearbook.
"It's Them, The Kids,Who Disappeared," Daphne announced.
"Crystal Cove High's Mystery Solvers Club,Mystery Incorporated," Velma read.
"Like,These Kids were,Just like Us," Shaggy stated,as He pointed to the Picture of Them.
As He opened the Doors to the Back of the Mystery Machine,Revealing Something to be There.
As They All Gasped,In Response.
"Darrow University Library,Darrow Family Archives," Daphne read,Reading the Words on the Box.
"Wow,This looks like the Entire History of Crystal Cove," Fred announced as Him,Shaggy,Daphne and Velma looked into it.
"The Darrow Family,Who Disappeared,Along with Their Mansion,Nearly 75 years ago,Without a Trace," Velma continued as She pointed to a Picture of the Darrow Family,With a Little White Stick.
Suddenly.
The Ground began to Shake and the Floor began to Crack,Around Them.
"Daddy,Mommy, What's going on?" Danny asked,With Worry in his Voice.
The Parents were Silent.
They didn't Know,What to Say.
The Whole Darrow Family Screamed as Their House sank,Into the Ground,Never to be seen,Again.
"Hey, You Coming? You're Missing a Lot of Fun,What is That?" Louis offered,Rolling towards Her,Before Asking,Velma,What She was Holding as He looked,Over her Shoulder.
"I think,It's from Mr. E,Don't Give Up Hope,This has All Happened Before, What's Happened Before? Velma read,Questioning,What He Said,In Confusion.
"Velma,Is It True? Is It,Really You?" Louis questioned,In a Sad and Innocent Tone.
A Tear came down his Cheek,as He looked at Her.
Velma knelt Down on One Knee,as She came to face Him.
"Yes,It is,It's me," Velma murmured.
He didn't Know,What to Say.
He,Just,Quickly,Hugged Her to Him.
"I missed You,So Much,I tried Contacting," Louis cried as He hugged her.
"I know,I know,I missed You,Too,Gosh,I did," Velma responded,While,They Hugged.
When They let Go,Velma saw Tears coming Down His Cheek.
She wiped the Tears off His Cheeks.
"And,I promise,To Explain," Velma warned.
"Sounds fair," Louis replied as He wiped his Tears,And,Sniffled,Starting to feel Better.
However,Louis was not Weirded Out,At All.
Louis was Suspicious and Angry.
Louis crossed his Arms as He watched Him.
He Frowned as He looked at Him with Disgust.
"Um,Hold It,Weirdo,Why are You Walking around Her and Being All Over Her? It's Off,And,Disgusting," Louis questioned,In Suspicion.
He did not like,Him,Looking at Her,With,So Much Interest.
Or,Touching Her,So Much.
He Hated,Every Minute of It.
"Well,I think,She's just So Perfect,So Beautiful," Randy complemented as He Cradled Her with his Hands,Gently.
He Smiled Wider and Wider as He looked at Her.
"Yeah,She is,But,You're Not,Freak," Louis added as He narrowed his Eyes at Him.
"What do You Think? Velm," Louis mentioned as He looked to His Side.
His Face Changed From a Smile.
To a Face,Of Shock.
She wasn't There.
She wasn't There,By his Side.
"Never Have I Seen Her,So Vain," Louis commented,In Agitation.
He knew,This was not,the Velma He Knew.
"Like,I can Really,Just Forget the Fact,That,I was Actually Pretty to Somebody,And,Now,I'm Hideous," Velma pointed Out.
"Well,I,Still,Think You're Pretty," Louis warned,Nicely.
"Oh,Um,Thanks,Louis," Velma thanked.
"To Me,You're as Pretty as the Stars,And, As Special as a Diamond," Louis complemented as He eludicated How Special and Pretty She was.
Velma Smiled,When She heard That.
"You Really Think So?" Velma questioned.
"I Know So," Louis answered,Confidently.
Velma Smiled,Big.
She felt,So Much Better,Now.
He had Noticed,That,Velma had been Gone,For a Very Long Time.
And,He was very Worried,About Her.
So,He was texting Her.
He texted, "Are You Okay," To Her.
Velma Replied Back,Saying, "Yeah,I'm,On My Way Back,Now."
Louis let Out a Sigh of Relief,as He saw Her Reply.
He was,So Relieved,To,Know,That,She was Okay.
He had gotten,Pretty Worried.
And,At the Moment,He seemed to be the Only One.
He set his Phone,Down,Now,That,He knew,She was Safe.
"It is Evallo,And,I've got the Proof,He got shut Down on a Work Permit,For being Registered as Pure Evil," Velma explained,Insisting,That,She was Right,Like,She knew She was,as She crossed her Arms,Confidently.
"Good Enough for Me,I'm in,Vel," Louis agreed,as He left Scooby's Side,And,Rolled over to Velma's Side,Besides,He knew,They,Clearly,Weren't getting Anywhere,Here.
"Finally,Someone,How about You Two?" Velma asked,Wondering about Fred and Shaggy,Hoping,They were Coming,Too.
Velma turned to Check on Louis,Checking on his Status.
She saw,One Tire,Rolling,Straight,Towards Him.
"Oh No," Velma whispered,Seeing Him,In Trouble,And,Running,To Him,To Try,And,Save Him.
She ran,Towards the Flaming Tire,Attempting to Outrun It,To Save Louis.
"Hang On,Louis," Velma called Out,as She,Jumped Over the Flaming Tire,And,Onto Louis.
She turned to the Direction of the Tire,To See,How Close It Was.
She saw It,Almost,Right,In Front of Them.
"Oh,Shoot," Velma yelled,Seeing It Coming.
Velma acted,Quickly.
She grasped Louis,Tightly,as She rolled Him and Her,Out of the Burning Tire's Path,And,To Safety.
As for the Tire,It rolled,Past Them,And,Into a Shed.
Velma let Out a Sigh of Relief,as She saw It,Miss Them.
"Thanks,Vel," Louis thanked as He looked Up,At Her,Thanking Her for the Save.
"Your Welcome,Louie," Velma answered,as She Smiled at Him.
"Look Out," Louis warned as He saw,A Flying Tire,Coming,Straight for Them.
He acted,Fast,as He rolled Her and Him,Out of the Way of the Flying Tire.
Saving Them Both.
"Jinkies,Wow,I Guess,We'll call It,Even," Velma stated as She chuckled,Awkwardly.
She couldn't believe,That,She,Almost got hit,By the Tire.
"Yeah,Yeah,We'll call It,Even," Louis agreed as He Smiled,Right Back at Her.
"Oh,Man,You Guys are Mean,Maybe,You Guys should Stop," Louis notified,Seeing How Offended,Velma was Getting,And,Standing Up for Her,as He put his Arm,Around Her Shoulder.
And,Still,The Boys continued to Laugh at Her.
"Don't Waste Your Breath,Louie,They're Not gonna Stop," Velma ordered as She picked Louis Up,Onto Her Back,And,Walked Away from The Two.
"But,There's,No Way,I'm going to take It,Even,Though,You stole my Boyfriend,I'd never let Anyone hurt You,Scooby-Doo," Velma eludicated.
"Velma," Scooby called.
Velma stopped,What She was doing.
She turned to Him.
"What is It? Scooby," Velma wondered.
"I just wanted to Ask You a Question," Scooby warned.
"Oh,Okay,Shoot," Velma ordered as she turned Back to her Tablet and Continued Working.
"Velma,What would You do,If you Thought,Well,You might be In Love?" Scooby mentioned.
Velma stopped her Work for a Second.
That was a Very Sensitive Subject,For Her.
She sighed,Angrily.
"What would I do? Well,That's Easy,Try to Snap Out of It,And,Dump the Slacker, before,He had a Chance to Break My Heart,And,Crush ,What,Few Dreams,I had Left," Velma explained,Not taking Her Eyes off her Tablet.
She was Drawing Daisy's Description of the Monster.
"Okay," Scooby responded,Weirded Out.
She,Clearly, didn't like, Talking about, Being in Love.
"Anything Else?" Velma asked.
"Uh,Nope," Scooby replied.
He turned around.
He started to walk Out of the Room.
Velma stopped Drawing on her Tablet.
She turned to Scooby.
She looked at Him,As He walked away.
She looked at Him,a Quick Up and Down.
She chuckled,Slightly.
She watched as He left the Room.
She didn't stop looking, until He left.
She,Then, turned Back to Her Tablet and,Continued Drawing.
"Oh,Scooby,We thought,You were the Ghoul," Velma said,as She came,Running to Scooby,As Well.
As Louis hugged Him,To Him,Velma grabbed Scooby's Face.
And,Hugged his Face to Her.
"Thanks,Scoob,I was starting to Think,That,No One cared,About Solving This Mystery," Velma informed,Softly as She Cradled Scooby's Face.
As The Ghoul Roared,Velma clinged to Scooby,Tightly,Out of Fear,Just,Wanting to Cling to a Strong Boy,At the Moment.
Velma,Still,Clinging to Scooby's Neck,Was,Now,Hanging in the Air,Starting to have Issues,Holding,Onto Him.
Louis saw Her,Having Trouble holding On.
"I got Ya,Vel," Louis announced as He grabbed Her Arm,And,Pulled Her Up,Onto Scooby's Back.
As They Both sat,On Scooby's Back,Louis wrapped his Arms,Around Scooby's Neck to hold On.
While,Velma put her Arms,Around Louis's Waist,To Hang On.
Velma was Sitting Down,Looking at the Yearbook,Up Close,With Her Magnifying Glass,as Scooby sat,Beside Her,With a Little Distance,Between Each Other.
Though,Scooby wanted to Change That.
Scooby looked Around,Casually,as He saw,No One Around,And,Scooted Closer to Velma.
Velma looked at Him,With the Corner of Her Eye,Seeing,How Close He was,as She scooted Away,From Him,Slightly,To put Some Distance,Between the Two.
Scooby looked Around,Once Again,Seeing,No One,as He scooted Closer to Her.
Velma looked Back at Him,To See Him,Too Close,Again,as She scooted Away,From Him,Trying to have Some Space.
Scooby didn't,Even Bother,Looking Around,This Time,as He,Just Scooted,Over to Her Side,With a Casual Smile on his Face.
Velma watched Him as She saw Him,Scoot to Her Side.
"Why are You,So Close to Me?" Velma questioned,Firmly,Wondering,Why the Heck,He kept wanting to be Right Next to Her.
"You're the Safest Place to be,Right Now," Scooby answered,Normally,Happy to be Safe.
"Hmm," Velma mumbled as She got Up,With Her Book and Magnifying Glass,In Hand,And,Walked Out of the Mystery Machine,To get Some Space and Some Peace and Quiet.
Scooby looked to the Side as He followed Her Out of the Mystery Machine.
Louis shut the Door,To his Locker,Revealing Scooby,To be Right There,Next to Him,Leaning Against the Locker Next to Louis's.
"So,How did You Sleep,Last Night?" Scooby mentioned,In Curiosity,as He stood There,Leaning Against the Locker,With a Raised Eyebrow.
"Eh,Could have Slept Better," Louis answered,Plainly,as He Shrugged his Shoulders,Getting Pretty Used to It,By Now.
"I Figured,I felt You Gone,From the Bed,By 6:00 AM,Anything You need to tell Me?" Scooby informed,In a Playful Tone,Crossing his Arms,With a Smile,Still,On his Face,as He moved his Face,Closer to Louis's.
That was When.
Louis's Sight began to Blur,All of Sudden.
Louis saw the Sight of the School,And,His Friends,Start to Blur,As He began to feel like,He was going to Pass Out.
However.
Louis,Just,Shook It Off,And,Strangely,The Feeling went Away.
Louis's Days were Becoming,More and More Strange.
It was,Like,Ever Since,The Mount Diabla Mystery,Where He saw the Ghost of Aguirre,He had been having Issues with his Sight,Constantly,Getting the Feeling,That,He was going to Pass Out,And,Heard his Name,Multiple Times,During the Night.
Not to Mention,The Nightmares,That,He had been Getting.
It was like,He hadn't been the Same,Since Then.
He was Beginning to Wonder,If He had Actually Seen the Ghost,For Real,And,It wasn't,Just his Imagination.
While,Sheriff Stone and Most of the Gang were Talking.
Louis's Hearing,Suddenly,Went Muffled.
"Wha-?" Louis was about to Say,Before He heard Something Else.
He heard his Name.
"Louis," A Voice Called,Quietly.
Louis turned Around,To Look for,Whatever was Calling his Voice.
But,He saw Nothing.
Just the Blank Forest.
"Louis," The Voice called Out,Again.
Someone or Something was,Clearly,Calling his Name,He knew It,For Sure.
He could hear the Voice,Perfectly,But,He couldn't hear Anything Else,Just Ringing,And,The Voice.
Suddenly.
A Spotted Paw put It's Hand,On Louis's Shoulder.
Louis Gasped as He felt It.
Louis turned Around,Immediately,In Alarm,To See,Who It Was.
But,The Spotted Paw was Gone.
A Brown Paw was,Now Resting,On his Shoulder.
One That Looked,Quite Familiar to Him.
Then,All of a Sudden.
"Louis," The Voice Called,Once More.
Louis took a Deep Breath,In and Out,as He tried to Ignore It.
"Louis," The Voice called,Again.
Louis turned,Quickly,To the Direction of the Voice,But,Still saw Nothing.
He turned Back,Around,And,Tried to Shake It Off.
Maybe,He was,Just Hallucinating,He thought.
Maybe,It would Go Away,If He,Just Ignored It,He thought.
But,That Thought,Quickly Changed.
"LOUIS!!!!!!" The Voice Shouted,Firmly,In Louis's Face.
Louis Screamed,When He heard That,as He Rolled,Slightly Back.
"Is That Why,You've been Searching for Things at Night?" Scooby asked,Wondering if,That was the Reason,Why He had been getting Out of Bed,So Much.
"That,However,Is for Another Reason,At the End of Our Mystery of the Dark Lilith,I saw Dark Lilith,She was Hot Dog Water,But,She gave Us the Piece,And,Now is On the Run,Then,There's,What I saw,I had seen a Ghost of a Soldier,And,That Soldier Said Something Strange,Something like Nabari,Or Something,That wasn't All Either,This Ghost,It burst Out into Laughter,Before Turning to Bones and Disappearing,Like,He had Already been Dead,For a Really Long Time,That was,How It Started,Since Then,I've been hearing Something,Calling My Name,Calling Out to Me,During the Night,During the Day,This Thing has,Even Touched Me,Earlier,When You heard Me Scream,It was,Because,This Thing had yelled,In My Face,Like,Literally,I heard It,I'm not Crazy," Louis described,Describing Everything,That had been Happening and,Everything,He had been doing,Getting Scared,Just Talking about It.
Later,That Night.
At Shaggy's House.
While,Shaggy and Scooby were Out,Hanging Out with Each Other,Louis had rolled Home,By Himself,To get Some Shut Eye.
He,Now,Rolled into Him and Scooby's Room,To Go to Sleep.
When,Suddenly,His Vision started to Blur,Again.
But,It was Different,This Time.
It was Worse.
Louis could feel his Head Spinning,Along with the Vision Blurring.
And,Before Louis could shake It Off,He Fell Off his Wheelchair,To the Ground,Collapsing.
He had Fainted.
However,He hadn't done It,Himself.
Something had forced Him to Faint,So,He could,Finally,Be Able to talk to Him.
During his Faint
"Louis,Louis," The Voice called,Out Loud,This Time.
Louis hearing,His Voice,Slowly,Opened his Eyes.
When He,Fully,Opened Them,He saw,That,He was Face to Face with a Cat.
And,It wasn't a House Cat.
It was a Jaguar.
Louis Screamed,In Alarm,as He sat Up.
"Don't be Scared,I am not Here to hurt You," The Jaguar reassured.
"Oh My Gosh,You,Just Talked," Louis yelled,In Surprise.
The Jaguar Sighed as He heard That.
"This shouldn't be Surprising,You're Friends with a Talking Dog," The Jaguar reminded.
"Well,Yeah,But," Louis tried to Say.
Before the Jaguar,Interrupted Him.
"We don't have Time for This,I'm on a Time Crunch," The Jaguar warned.
"Wh-What do You Mean,Who are You?" Louis questioned,In Confusion.
"I am Spot,You can Call Me,Spot," Spot introduced.
"Spot?" Louis repeated.
"Yeah?" Spot answered.
"What's going On?" Louis asked,With Concern,In his Voice.
"I can't Say Much,It is Listening,All I can Say is,That,You and your Friends are in Grave Danger," Spot explained,In a Serious Tone.
Louis froze Up as He sat Speechless.
Not Knowing,What to Say.
He had So Many Questions.
Like,Who was Spot?
Why was He Contacting Him,Of All People?
What was the "It" He was talking About?
Where was We?
And,What the Heck was going On?
All Questions,He couldn't bring Himself to Say.
It was Official.
Things had,Just Gotten Interesting.
On the Night of the Strange Encounter.
Scooby came,Into the Two's Room,Looking for Him,as He saw Him,There,Lying on the Floor.
Scooby called Out to Him,as He knelt Down,At his Side,And,Shook Him.
"Louis,Louis," Scooby called Out,as He continued,To shake Him,Trying to Wake Him Up.
Louis opened his Eyes,Finally,Waking Up,From his Faint,as He woke Up,To See,Scooby's Face,Looking Down at Him,In Worry,With his Paws on his Cheeks.
"Sc-Scooby?" Louis whispered as He looked Back,At Scooby,Seeing his Worried Look.
"Louis,You-You're Okay," Scooby announced,In Relief,Attempting to be as Calm as He Could.
"Uh,Yeah," Louis replied,With Confusion in his Voice,as He looked at Him with a Confused Look,Trying to figure Out,What was Going On,While,Attempting to Sit Up.
"Wha-What Happened?" Scooby asked,In Concern,as He helped Louis,Sit Upright,So,He could tell Him.
However.
Scooby didn't let Louis,Get Very Far.
The Minute,Louis sat Upright,Scooby pulled Him,Closer to Him,And,Pulled Him,Onto his Lap,So,He could hold Him.
"The Ghost,I saw It," Louis warned,In a Scared Tone.
"You saw It? Who,Who was It? What did It Say?" Scooby interrogated,Wanting to Know,Who was Responsible,For Hurting and Scaring his Friend,And,What This Person Said to Him.
"He Said,His Name was Spot,That,He couldn't say Much,Cause,It was Listening,And,That,We are All in Grave Danger," Louis explained,Explaining Everything,He had heard,From Spot,as He had a Scared Look on his Face,While,He Explained It.
When Scooby heard That,His Smile went faded.
As Scooby,Now,Had a Look of Worry and Fear On.
"Sc-Scooby," Louis called,Quietly,Seeing his Face,And,Wondering,What was going On,In his Buddy's Head.
Scooby didn't Know,What to Say to That.
For Once,In his Life,He was the Most Scared,Than He had Ever been.
"We,We have to tell the Others," Scooby said,as He put On his Serious Face,Things were getting Serious,Which meant,He needed to get Serious.
Scooby wasn't Kidding.
And,Louis knew This,Cause,Whenever Scooby had put on his Serious Face.
It meant,That,He was Serious.
They needed to tell the Others.
They needed to be Warned,Too.
Because,One Thing was,For Certain.
Something was Coming,For All of Them.
Present Day.
A Week Later
Miles Away,From Crystal Cove.
In the Middle of the Night
On a Road,Near the Mountains.
A Small Minivan drove,On the Road.
The Same Car,That had been Attacked,Back in Gatorsburg.
And,Inside,Was the Same Family,That was Scared Off.
Only,This Time,The Family was Dressed In,Snow Coats and Snow Hats.
The Dad,Still,Drove,The Mom was,In the Passenger's Seat,And,The Daughter was,Still,In the Back,Along with Puddles,as Puddles and the Girl looked Outside.
The Dad stopped the Car,At a Fork,In the Road,as They looked at,Which Direction to Take.
As the Dad took a Small Turn,Onto the Road on the Right,That,Lead,All the Way Up the Hilly Road to a Mansion.
While,Driving Up the Road,The Snow fell Off,A Hidden Sign,That Said,"Dead End"
The Car drove Up the Hilled Road,And,Pulled Up at the Front of the Mansion.
Inside the Lights were,Strangely,Already On.
The Two of Them got Out of the Car,And,Looked Up to look at the Mansion.
"Well,Here We are,Family,The Burlington Library,Aw,This is gonna be the Greatest Vacation Ever," The Dad announced,So Excited,To get Started on the Vacation.
"Where have I heard That,Before?" The Daughter commented,In a Snotty Tone,as She stepped Out of the Car,With Puddles,In Her Hand.
The Family walked Up to the Door,as They pushed the Doors to the Library Open.
So,They could get Inside,And,Get Warm.
"I Mean,How Exciting is It,That,We're spending Our Entire Winter Vacation at Some Old Dead Rich Guy's Library,Huh?" The Father asked,Expressing,How Exciting,He thought,It was,as He stood,In the Doorway,Before Walking In,And,Holding the Door Open for his Wife and Daughter.
The Mom and Daughter walked,Into the Library,Not Saying Anything,as They looked at the Inside of the Library.
Inside the Library.
In the Entrance of It,The Mother and Daughter could see,Dark Brownish Walls and Two Large Chairs,Sitting in Front of a Fire,That was,Strangely,Already Going.
"Learning is Awesome," The Dad added as He closed the Door,After,His Daughter walked In,With Puddles.
"Learning is Lame," The Daughter responded,In a Plain,But,Rude Tone,as She walked Past Her Dad,Looking at the Whole Library,With Disgust.
A Hooded Figure stood,Against the Wall,Standing in Place.
That was When.
The Hooded Figure turned to Them as It floated,Over to the Family,Hearing Them Come Into the Place.
It stopped,In Front of the Family,as It stood,In Front of Them,Silently.
Behind the Figure,The Fire was,Still Going,as Red Mist began to Float,Out of the Fire,Into the Room.
"Hi,There,Hope You don't Mind,We,Just,Kind Of,Let Ourselves in," The Dad explained,Explaining to the Figure,What,They were doing in It's Library.
Still,The Hooded Figure Said Nothing.
It,Just,Raised It's Hands,And,Lowered It's Hood.
To Reveal,An Anubis-Like Thing,With Glowing Red Eyes,And,No Mouth.
The Creature looked Down at Them,as the Family Gasped,When They saw,What It looked Like.
Suddenly.
The Creature's Face began to Morph.
As It Morphed,It grew a Larger Snout,Two Long Ears,Shaggy Fur,Claws,And,Even a Mouth,With Razor-Sharp Teeth.
The Creature,Also Grew,In Size.
The Creature had turned,Into a Large Werewolf.
The Werewolf's Cloak flew Off,as It,Roared,Now,Standing,Over the Family,Ready to Attack.
The Mom and Dad Screamed,In Horror,as They saw It,What It Really Was.
"Learning isn't Lame,It's Evil," The Daughter shouted,as She clenched Puddles,To Her,In Fear.
The Whole Family Screamed as They turned Around,And,Quickly,Ran towards the Front Door,With the Werewolf,Close Behind.
The Mother pushed the Doors Open,as the Other Two followed Her Out,Running,Right Behind Her.
Puddles ran,After Them,Trying to get Away,From the Creature,Too.
But,When Puddles began,Running Down the Stairs,He ended Up,Tripping and Falling,Into the Snow,On his Belly.
The Family got Back,In Their Minivan,And,Took Off,Starting to Drive Away,Without Him.
Puddles got Up,Hearing the Engine Start,as He ran,Towards the Van,Trying to catch Up,Before They left Him,Behind.
The Daughter stuck Her Head,Out the Window,as She held Out her Hands,To Puddles,So,He could Jump in.
Puddles continued to Run,Alongside the Mini-Van,Struggling to get Close Enough.
In an Act of Desperation,Puddles jumped,Into the Air,Hoping,That,His Owner was going to Catch Him.
The Girl saw Him Jump as She held Out her Hands,A Little Farther,And,Caught Him,Before He could Fall,Pulling Him,Into the Van,To Safety.
The Moment,She pulled Him,Into the Van,The Dad hit his Foot Harder,On the Accelerator, as He made the Van,Drive Away,Faster,So,They could Escape,Leaving the Mansion,And,Their Vacation,For Home,Where It was Safe.
Inside the Mansion.
The Anubis-Like Creature watched,From the Window,Seeing Them,Drive Away,Seeming,All Too Happy to get Rid of Them,as It watched Them,Without,Even Blinking.
On the Same Road,Days Later.
The Mystery Machine,Now,Drove on It,Driving towards the Fork,In the Road.
"After Everything,We've been Through,Lately,Gang,This Little Ski Vacation is,Just the Thing,To get Our Minds Off,All That Planispheric Disc and Mysterious Ghost Craziness," Fred explained as He and the Rest of the Gang sat,Inside,The Mystery Machine,All Dressed Up in Winter Clothes,On Their Way to a Skiing Resort.
"Yeah,You're telling Me,I,Definitely,Want to get Away,From All That Ghost Craziness,It is,Way,Too Freaky," Louis agreed,as He sat,In the Back of the Mystery Machine,Sitting on the Bench on the Side,Really Excited to get Away,From All the Mystery.
In Front,Velma sat,On Daphne's Usual Side,Holding the Map,So,They knew,Where They were Going.
"I,Just,Hope,That,Spot doesn't Try to Contact You,During This Vacation," Velma mentioned,Hoping,Spot would leave Him Alone,For a Couple of Days,as She glanced at Louis,For a Minute,To make Sure,He was Okay.
"Speaking of Spot,Has He,Really Said Anything about,Why,We're in Grave Danger?" Daphne asked,Out of Curiosity,Wanting to Know,What Spot had meant,When He said It,That Night.
"No,Not Really,He keeps Saying,That,Something is Listening,So,We,Kind of,Avoid,That Subject,And,Just talk About,How My Life is,And,Stuff," Louis replied,Casually,Answering Daphne's Question.
"What's the Point of talking to Him,Then?" Velma complained,Wondering,Why Spot was,Even Bothering,Trying to talk to Him,If He couldn't say Anything.
"I don't Know,He Contacts Me,I Mean,I Guess,He's,Just Waiting for the Right Time,To Spill It," Louis guessed,as He shrugged his Shoulders,Not Knowing,Spot's Plans.
"Ah,No Mystery Talk,Not on Vacation,We're,Trying to get Louis,To Forget about This,Not Remind Him," Scooby scolded,Putting his Arm,Around Louis as He Spoke,Trying to Make Sure,None of Them talked,About the Mysteries and Issues,They were having,Back at Home.
He wanted Louis to get a Good Vacation,Away from All That.
So,He could,Finally,Have,Just a Normal Day,Without Contacts from a Jaguar,Or,Mysterious Happenings,Or,Something,Always,Trying to kill Him.
"Yeah,Like,Hitting the Slopes," Louis suggested,Attempting to Find Something Else to talk About,That wasn't,The Crazy Mystery,That,They were Solving.
"Eh,Like,Scoob and I aren't as Crazy,About hitting the Slopes,As We are,About Hitting the Massive,All You can Eat Fondue Bar," Shaggy said,Already getting Excited,Just by talking about It, as He Successfully,Changed the Subject,To Something Else.
Scooby licked his Lips as He heard Shaggy talk about It.
"Fonduey-Dooby-Doo," Scooby shouted Out,In Excitement,as Him and Shaggy burst Out,Into Laughter,At Scooby's Shout.
The Mystery Machine drove Up,Towards the Fork,In the Road,as The Mystery Machine's Headlights shined,On the Sign,Indicating,That,The Van was Close to the Fork.
"Take the Left Fork,The Right is a Dead End," Velma ordered,While,Still,Holding the Map,Over Her Face,as She explained,Why She had Said,What She Said.
Fred drove the Mystery Machine,Onto the Left Side of the Road,as They drove,Towards the Coming Left Side at the Fork.
Suddenly.
Snow started to fall Off the Side of the Mountain,That,Stood,Next to the Left Side.
The Gang saw the Snow,Falling Onto the Side of the Road,Where They were Headed,as They All Screamed,As They saw It.
Fred turned the Mystery Machine to a Hard Right,While,Hitting the Brake,Trying to Stop the Mystery Machine,as the Gang continued to Scream,Seeing It Coming,Fast.
The Mystery Machine,Quickly,Drove,Onto It's Side,To a Stop,Just in Time,as The Entire Left Side got buried,In a Mountain of Snow.
The Gang stopped Screaming,Realizing,That,They had Stopped.
For a Minute,The Entire Van went Silent,Not Knowing,What to Say,About What,Just Happened,
Before Daphne decided to say Something.
"I don't Know,Velm,That Left Fork seems Pretty Dead,Too," Daphne added,Casually.
Fred opened the Door,as He got Out,To Check the Mystery Machine.
A Few Minutes Later.
The Whole Gang was Out of the Mystery Machine,Out in the Cold,Shivering,From the Cold,as They watched Freddy,Who was,Laying Underneath the Van,Checking Everything Down There.
Fred slid Out,From Underneath the Mystery Machine,To give Them an Update.
"The Old Mystery Machine is a Little Banged Up,Down There,We'll need to make Some Repairs," Fred warned,as He,Slowly,Stood Up.
"What's That?" Scooby wondered,Seeing Something,On the Right Side of the Fork,as He walked,Closer to It,To get a Better Look at It.
That was When.
The Fog,That was Covering Something,Disappeared to Reveal,A Mansion,That,Sat,All the Way at the End of the Dead End.
"That Terrifying Mansion looks Warm and Inviting," Daphne stated,Seeing the Mansion,Too.
"How can a Mansion look Terrifying,And,Inviting?" Louis responded,Questioning Daphne's Statement,as He looked at Daphne,With a Confused Look,In Response.
"Either Way,We're going,Come On," Fred interrupted,Making the Decision Himself,as He ordered the Gang,To get Back,In the Van,So,They could drive Up There.
The Mystery Machine drove,All the Way Up the Creepy Hill,as It pulled Up to the Front of the Mansion.
"Does Anybody Else think,It's Strange to find a Huge Mansion,Up Here,In the Middle of Nowhere?" Velma questioned,While, the Mystery Machine was Parking,Up Front.
The Gang looked Up at the Mansion,With Fear,On Their Faces.
They weren't,So Sure about The Mansion.
It,Literally,Looked Off.
"It isn't,Just You,I'm looking at the Map,And,It says Nothing about a Mansion,On Top of This Hill," Louis informed.
"At Least,The Lights are On," Shaggy added.
"Good Enough for Me," Scooby accepted,Not Seeing,What the Rest of the Gang were Seeing.
The Gang got Out of the Mystery Machine,And,Approached the Large Mansion,With Caution.
"I don't Know about This," Louis voiced,Not Trusting the Mansion,as Scooby picked Louis Up,By his Arms,And,Put Him,On his Back,While,Louis talked.
The Gang,All Walked Up to the Doorstep,And,Stopped,Waiting for Someone to Check the Door.
"I'm Freezing My Paws Off," Scooby commented,Lifting One of his Paws,To get,That One,Out of the Snow,Before,Putting,That One Back Down,And,Lifting Up Another One,as He began to Shiver,From the Really Cold Weather.
"Don't Worry,SD,We'll be Inside,Soon,And,Then,We can warm Them Up," Louis reassured,Trying to put a Smile on his Face,Before Clinging to Scooby's Neck,To Try and get Warm,Still Shivering,From being So Long in the Cold.
"Ew,We? Why Both of Them?" Velma mumbled to Herself,as She heard Them.
While The Two were Talking,Fred saw a Rope,Above Him,And,Immediately pulled It,Hoping,That,It was Something Useful as a Small Chime could be heard,From Inside the House.
Revealing the Rope to,Actually be a Doorbell as a Man walked Up to the Door,And,Opened Them.
"Well,Hello,There,You,Young Folks come On in,Out of That Cold," The Man announced,as He offered Them,To Come In.
The Man walked Out of Their Path,as He held the Door Open,For Them.
"Like,Thank You,Kind Sir," Shaggy whispered as He continued to Shiver.
The Whole Gang walked,And,Rolled,Into the Mansion,Without Any Further Hesitation,Just wanting to get Out of the Cold.
The Man closed the Door,Behind Them,as He locked It Up,And,Walked Over to Them,To Introduce Them to the Place.
"Welcome to the Burlington Library," The Man welcomed,Lifting his Hands,Gesturing to the Whole Library,as He said the Library's Name.
"Uh,Thank You,Sir,It looks Nice," Louis thanked,Politely,as He Complemented,How Nice,The Place looked.
"Of Course,We're Always Open to Receiving Guests,So,The Place is often Cleaned,To Look Nice,Glad Y'all found Us," The Man explained,as He looked at the Library,With an Evil Smile on his Face,While,His Hands were,Still,Up in the Air,Before turning Around,To Smile at Them.
"We're Glad,We found You,Too,Sir,Our Van could use Some Repairs," Fred agreed,Agreeing with the Man's Previous Statement,as He explained,Their Dilemma.
"We were Wondering,If We could spend the Night," Daphne brought up,Getting Straight to the Point.
"You could stay Here,For the Rest of Your Lives," The Man offered,as He started Talking,Politely,Before going,Into a Creepy Tone,And,Smiling Wickedly at Them.
The Gang didn't Say a Word.
They,Just looked at Him,With a Worried Look.
They were,Not So Sure,About This Guy.
He,Kind Of,Already seemed Suspicious.
The Man motioned,With his Hands,For Them to follow Him.
Fred,Daphne,Velma and Louis,Still,Stood Quietly,For a Minute,Before following Him,So,They could get Some Rooms.
Shaggy and Scooby stayed Put,For a Second,Hesitantly.
But,They knew,They didn't have a Choice,The Others were Already Following,They might as Well,Too.
However.
It didn't mean,They couldn't Comment,About It.
"Like,Couldn't We break Down,Where the Dude,Who runs the Joint didn't Act like,He wanted to eat Our Livers?" Shaggy commented to Scooby,Not liking,Where They were Staying,as Him and Scooby followed the Rest of the Gang,Down the Hall.
"Shaggy,We're Guests,Remember," Velma reminded,Firmly,Trying for Them,Not to get kicked Out,as She turned Away,And,Continued to follow.
"Guests? We're,What's for Dinner," Scooby pointed Out,as He stopped,To Point,That Out.
Shaggy Shivered as He heard,What Scooby had Said.
"Come On,You Two," Louis murmured as He grabbed Shaggy and Scooby,And,Pulled Them,To join Up,With the Others.
"Name's Dan Fluunk,I'm the Caretaker,Up Here,All Year Round," Dan introduced,as He continued to Walk Down the Hall,While,He introduced Himself.
"Nice to Meet Your,Mr. Fluunk," Louis replied.
"Please,Call Me Dan," Dan entreated.
"Okay,Dan,If You don't have Enough Room for Us,We would Understand," Louis stated.
"Oh,Nonsense,We've got Plenty of Room,Right Now,Only Myself,A,Kind Of,Creepy Older Lady,That's been Staying,With Us,Awhile,And,The Cook,From an Unspecified Culture,Don Fong," Dan informed as He led Them,Through the Hallway of the Library,Towards the Kitchen Doors,While,He talked.
Dan opened the Doors,To the Kitchen,And,Gestured his Hands,To Don Fong,So,The Gang could see the Cook,Up Close.
"Aw,Well,He looks Nice," Louis said,Nicely,Thinking of the Guy as a Nice Person.
"Uh, I'm Not, So Sure," Scooby whispered,Fearfully,as He stepped in Front of Louis,To Protect Him,And, Looked at the Man,Himself.
"Yeah,I'd Stay Out of the Way of Don Fong,He's a Bit,Um,Angry," Dan warned.
Once the Gang heard That,They All turned to look at Don Fong.
Don Fong Muttered,Indistinctly,With an Angry Look on his Face,as He raised his Cleaver,And,Hit It,Onto a Large Piece of Meat,Chopping the Meat,In Half.
"You See,What I Mean," Dan added,as He put his Hands,On his Hips.
"I Stand Corrected," Louis mumbled,as He hid,Behind Scooby,Not liking,What He was Seeing,With Don Fong.
"Yeah,I thought So," Scooby bragged,To Himself,Kind Of,Happy to Know,That,He was Right.
The Rest of the Tour seemed to Go,Pretty Fast.
Cause,Before the Gang knew It,They were Practically Done,And,Back,In Front of the Fire,With Mr. Fluunk.
Dan pointed to the Portrait,Above the Fireplace,To Show the Gang,What He looked like.
"The Man Himself,Oswald P. Burlington,Baron of the Rails,King of Steel,Lord of Steam,Back in the 1880s,He Decreed,That,His Library should Stay Open,For Visitors,Anytime,Day or Night,Forever and Ever," Dan eludicated,as Him and the Gang looked at the Painting,Above the Fireplace.
"Wow,Forever is a Long Time," Scooby added.
"Uh,Scooby,Forever is Forever," Louis notified.
"Huh?" Scooby retorted,In Confusion,Not getting the Point of,What Louis was Saying.
"Right,Let's Say This,Differently,Forever is Eternal," Louis rephrased.
"What?" Scooby asked,Still,Not Getting,What Louis was Saying.
"Oy,Scooby,What Louis is,Trying to Say is,Forever is Never Ending," Velma told,Stepping In,Tired of Hearing Louis,Try and Fail to Explain It to Him.
"Man,We've got to get You a Dictionary," Louis suggested,Coming to a Realization,That,His Friend needed Serious Help with Vocabulary.
"Yeah,She's Right,Forever is Never Ending,However,If,For Any Reason,The Library was to Close,It and All It's Contents would go to Darrow University," Dan announced to the Gang,Telling Them,Why the Library needed to Stay Open,as He Gestured with his Hands,How Important It was,Before,Looking Back at the Portrait.
When Velma,Louis,Shaggy,Fred and Daphne heard That,They All looked at Each Other,Finding That,Pretty Suspicious.
"Let's Continue,There is One Last Place,I want to Show You," Dan requested,Informing Them,That,The Tour wasn't Over,Quite Yet.
The Gang nodded as They continued to follow Him.
They followed Dan Fluunk,As He led Them,Over to the Exhibit Part of the Library.
"These Artifacts are Priceless,My Family and I have been,Taking Care of Them,For Years," Dan said as He walked,Through the Exhibits,With the Scooby Gang,Following Close Behind.
While,They were Walking,The Gang started to Look Around the Room,In Curiosity.
Quickly,As Always,Something caught Velma's Eye.
"Who are These Portraits of,Mr. Fluunk?" Velma asked,Skeptically,Trying to make Sure,They weren't staying with Some Crazy Stalker.
"That's a Curious Question,Young Lady,Mr. Burlington had a Fascination,With Groups of Four People and an Animal," Dan Fluunk replied.
"Why?" Louis interrupted,In Confusion,Wondering,What was,So Fascinating about Four People and an Animal.
"I have No Idea Why,It was,Some Sort of Mystery,He was,Trying to Solve," Dan explained.
Scooby and Louis looked at Each Other,With a Look of Worry,On Their Faces,Not Liking,What They were Hearing.
"Now,Over Here is Something,Really Interesting," Dan mentioned,Walking Away,From the Pictures,And,Leading the Gang towards A Large Statue.
"Uh,A Statue of a Monkey?" Louis guessed,Not Knowing,Why the Statue of a Monkey would be,So Interesting.
"Not,Just Any Monkey,This is a Statue of Mr. Burlington's Pet Orangutan,Mr. Peaches,Oh,They went Everywhere,Together,Adventure,After Adventure,He loved his Monkey," Dan corrected,Before Telling Louis,Why the Statue was,So Important to the Library.
As Dan talked,The Gang,All Looked at the Statue of Mr. Peaches,With Serious Looks on Their Faces,Not Knowing,What to Say.
After Showing Them Mr. Peaches,Dan's Tour,Of the Place,Was Officially Over.
So,Dan grabbed,A Handful of Firewood,And,Walked Over to the Kitchen,To put It,In the Fire.
"So,After,That Long Trip,Is Anybody Hungry?" Dan wondered,While,Carrying the Handful of Wood,Over to the Kitchen,as He Went,Over to the Fire,And,Started putting Wood,Into the Fire.
"Like,Man,This Place is Massive," Shaggy commented,as He gestured,With his Hands,How Big the Library was.
"Nothing Horrible in Here," Scooby stated,as Him and Shaggy walked,Into the Kitchen,And,Both walked,Around the Side of the Counter,In the Middle,Of the Kitchen,Looking for Something to Eat.
"Now,You Two,Young Men get Yourselves Anything,You wanna Eat,While,I get You and Your Friends settled in Some Rooms Upstairs," Dan offered,as He finished,Throwing the Wood,Into the Fire,Before,Getting Back Up,And,Leaving the Kitchen,Through the Kitchen Doors,With his Hands behind his Back.
"Like,Maybe,That Guy isn't an Evil Liver-Eater,After All," Shaggy realized,Taking Back,What He had Said,Back at the Entrance as He Chuckled.
"So,Where should We Start Buddy Ol' Pal?" Shaggy questioned,Already getting Excited.
Scooby didn't Say Anything,For a Minute as He lifted his Nose to the Ceiling and Sniffed for Something,He wanted to Eat.
"Oh,Over There," Scooby answered as He pointed Over,To Where Don Fong was,Tossing Floured Pizza Dough Up into the Air.
"Like,Let's See,If We can get in on Some of,That Action," Shaggy agreed as He rubbed his Stomach,Ready to Eat.
Scooby stuck his Tongue Out,While,He watched Don Fong toss the Pizza,Up and Down.
As Shaggy and Scooby decided to Go over There,Don Fong,Just Continued to Work on the Dough.
Shaggy Cleared his Throat as They approached Him,Trying to get his Attention.
"Um,Excuse Us," Shaggy warned,Politely,as He tapped Don Fong's Shoulder.
Don Fong turned to Him and Scooby about to Say Something,When Don Fong's Face turned Red,And,His Face turned into a Goblin-like Monster's Face as He Shrieked Out,Into Their Faces.
Suddenly.
Large Spikes began to Protrude Out of Don's Chef Uniform.
Don Fong,Once Again,Shrieked at Them,And,Raising It's Hands,In Intimidation,as It started to Walk towards Them.
Shaggy and Scooby Screamed,In Surprise,Seeing his True Form,And,Began to Back Up in Terror.
However.
Don Fong leaped towards Them,About to Pounce on Them as Shaggy and Scooby moved Out of the Way.
Shaggy and Scooby,Slowly,Backed Up,Onto the Counter,Trying to get Away from Him.
But,Don Fong,Just continued to Approach Them as It swiped It's Claws at Them,While,They,Backed Up towards the End of the Counter.
Don slashed at Them,Attempting to kill Them.
Scooby and Shaggy jumped Off the Counter,And,Onto the Floor,Dodging the Slash.
Don Fong leaned,Over the Counter,Reaching his Clawed Hand,Out to Shaggy and Scooby,Hitting Multiple Kitchen Untensils,At Them,as He tried to Grab,Ahold of Them.
Scooby and Shaggy scurried Backwards,Away from the Don Fong Creature.
The Creature didn't,Even Try to Reach Out,Any Longer.
The Creature jumped,Onto the Counter,And,Leaped towards Shaggy and Scooby as They sat,On Their Butts,Against the Fireplace.
Shaggy and Scooby Screamed,Seeing It,Coming towards Them.
The Two scampered Back,Onto Their Feet as They made a Run for the Door.
The Creature ended Up leaping,On to the Fire Place Wall as It Shrieked in Anger at Them.
The Monster dashed Off the Fireplace,Approaching Them,Quickly.
Shaggy grabbed the Bag of Flour,To Use as a Shield as Him and Scooby,Slowly,Backed Up to the Other Counter.
The Don Fong Monster backed Shaggy and Scooby Up to the Other Counter,Cornering Them.
Shaggy and Scooby,Just kept Screaming,Not Knowing,What to do.
The Creature came at Them,With It's Claws.
As It slashed the Flour Bag Open,Barely Missing Shaggy's Face.
Shaggy and Scooby turned to the Other,as They made a Run for It.
The Monster,Ready to Attack,Again, jumped at Them,Trying not to let em Escape,Instantly Missing Them,And,Landing,On the Counter.
Don Fong Shrieked as He watched Them,Turn Back to Him.
He leaped,From the Counter to the Floor,Running Directly towards Them Both.
Shaggy and Scooby turned Around as They ran Out the Door,With the Dong Fong Creature,Close Behind.
The Minute,They ran,Out the Door,Shaggy started to Shut It.
That was When.
The Thing rammed Itself,Into the Door,Attempting to Escape.
But,Shaggy didn't let It.
He forced the Door Shut,And,The Two ran Away,From the Kitchen.
Shaggy and Scooby continued to Run Away as They looked,Behind Them,Making Sure,It wasn't Following Em.
However.
What the Two didn't Know was,That,Fred,Daphne,Velma and Louis were,In Front of Them,Running towards the Kitchen,To Check on Them.
That was When.
All Six of Them saw the One Another,And,The Gang ran,Straight into Each Other as They All Bumped Heads,And,Fell on Their Bottoms.
Fred,Daphne,Velma and Louis,All sat Up,Velma,Being the One,Who helped Louis,Of Course.
If It wasn't Scooby,Helping Him,It was Velma.
The Three looked at Shaggy and Scooby,With Worry.
"We heard Screaming," Velma announced.
The Minute,Scooby saw Louis,Sitting There,Next to Fred,Scooby zoomed,Over to Him,And,Clinged to Him,While,Shivering with Fear.
"What's Wrong,You Guys?" Fred asked,In Concern as He helped Shaggy Up.
"D-Don Fong,Horrible Monster," Scooby blurted Out,While,He clinged to Louis,Before,Pointing to the Direction,They saw Him.
"I think,We need to check It Out," Louis suggested as He held Scooby,In his Arms,Knowing Something was Wrong.
Fred,Daphne,Velma and Louis went Over to the Kitchen to,Check,And,See,If He was There.
Fred poked his Head,Through the Doorway,To the Kitchen,Putting on a Serious Face,as He looked Around,For Any Sight of Don Fong.
Fred looked Around,And,Saw Nothing,as His Face,Literally,Went from Serious to Annoyed
Fred opened the Door,All the Way, as the Rest of the Gang walked and rolled,Into the Kitchen.
"Like,Wha,Hu,Huh,No Way,We,Totally,Trashed the Place," Shaggy stuttered as He looked at the Clean Kitchen,Completely Confused.
"What's going On?" Scooby wondered,In Confusion,as Him and the Rest of the Gang looked,Into the Kitchen,With Confused Looks on Their Faces.
A Few Minutes Later.
Mystery Incorporated were All having a Conversation,About,What had Just Happened.
"So,A Strange Phantasm of the Cook trashed the Kitchen? Really?" Velma guessed,Finding It a Bit Absurd,Definitely,Not believing Them.
"It's True," Shaggy pointed Out.
"Yeah," Scooby agreed.
"Scooby,Are You Sure?" Louis added.
"Yeah,He had Big Eyes and Sharp Teeth,And,Grrrr," Scooby eludicated,Grasping Louis's Shoulder's,Tightly,To Show Him,How Serious,He was,Before Explaining to Him,How Don Fong was,Acting,as He took Out his Claws,And,Growled Ferociously,While,He shook his Head,Before,Finishing,With a Large Scowled Look on his Face,Getting his Saliva,All Over Louis.
"Like,Guys,You've gotta believe Us," Shaggy pleaded.
"Yeah,Louis,You've gotta believe Me," Scooby begged as He got Down,On One Knee,And,Grabbed Louis's Hands,Trying to Beg Him,To Believe Him.
"Scooby,It's Okay,I believe You,You don't have to get Down on One Knee,For It," Louis reassured,as He Chuckled,Slightly,Finding,What Scooby had,Just did,Funny.
Scooby let Out a Sigh of Relief,When He heard That.
At Least,Someone believed Them.
That was When.
Dan Fluunk walked,Into the Kitchen,To talk to Them.
"Oh,Congratulations," Dan congratulated,Politely.
"Wait,What? No,This is not,What It looks like," Louis warned.
"He's not Proposing," Fred said,Helping Reassure Dan,That,The Two weren't Gay.
"Not Yet," Velma commented.
"Yeah,Don't Worry,Mr. Fluunk,He's Straight," Daphne informed.
"As Straight,As He's,Ever gonna Get," Velma muttered to Herself.
"So,Like,What did Mr. Fong say?" Shaggy asked.
"Well,I,Just came Down,From Don's Room,He told Me,He's been Asleep up There,All Night,Then,He threw a Ham at Me," Dan notified,Casually,Like,It was totally Normal,For,That to Happen.
"But," Shaggy tried to Say.
"Don may be a Hostile Foreigner,From an Unspecified Culture,But,He's No Liar," Dan insisted,Making It Clear,That,It wasn't Him.
"Look,Dude,We are telling the Truth," Shaggy shouted,Pointing at Dan,Aggressively.
"We never Lie,When It comes to Food,Even,If It's being,Thrown at Us," Scooby stated.
"It's True,They don't," Louis agreed
"It's Late,And,We're All Tired,I don't Know,About You Guys,But,I could,Sure Use a Hot Shower and a Soft Bed," Daphne mentioned.
"Are You Guys Crazy? Who could sleep in a House Full of Books?" Velma questioned,In Excitement.
Instantly,After She asked That,Fred,Daphne,Shaggy,Louis and Scooby,All raised Their Hands,In Unison,as Fred,Daphne and Louis Smiled,And,Shaggy and Scooby looked at Her,Plainly.
Velma sighed as She saw,All Their Hands and Paws Up.
"Never Mind,If You need Me,I'll be in the Library," Velma replied,Announcing,Where She was going as She walked Out the Door.
"I'll go with Velma," Scooby announced.
"Sorry,Scoob,But,I'll need You for Something Else," Fred apprised.
"Okay,Well,I'm gonna Go Upstairs,With Some Help" Louis informed as He rolled,Towards the Doors.
"Like,I'll Help Ya,Then,I'm Off to My Room," Shaggy offered.
"Sure,Thanks," Louis thanked.
"No Problem," Shaggy answered.
"You go On Upstairs,Too,Daph,I wanna See,If I can get the Mystery Machine Up and Running,Again,Scoob,I could Use your Nose to Sniff Out Any Leaks in the Fuel Line," Fred requested as Daphne left,While,Fred was talking to Scooby.
Scooby nodded,In Agreement,as Him and Fred left the Kitchen,And,Walked Outside,To Fix the Mystery Machine.
The Two walked Down the Steps,And,Headed over to the Van.
Meanwhile.
Upstairs,In One of the Room's Bathrooms.
Daphne,Now,Wearing a Green Robe,Walked Over to the Fireplace as She put A Log,Into the Fireplace,And,Closed the Door to It.
Daphne,Then,Went,Over to the Shower,Turned the Knob,And,Turned On the Shower as She Smiled,Ready to take Shower.
In Louis's Room.
Louis was,Near the Fireplace,Laying on his Sofa,Asleep.
He wanted to take a Short Nap,Before,Going off to the Shower.
While,Louis was Sleeping,The Fire,In his Room,Turned Red as a Strange Red Mist started to Come Out of the Fire.
The Same Red Mist rose,Into the Air,In the Kitchen,As Well.
Even in the Library,And,In the Entrance of the Library,The Red Mist came Out.
It was Practically,Everywhere.
In the Library.
The Same Hooded Figure's Shadow stood in the Doorway,To the Library,About to Float Over to Velma.
When Velma noticed the Shadow,She,Quickly,Dropped the Book,And,Turned Around.
"Hello? Is Someone There?" Velma asked,as She scooted Her Chair Out,And,Started to take a Look Around.
As Velma walked Around, She walked,Over to One of the Book Aisles,To Check,And See,If Someone was There.
And,When She did,She saw,That,Someone was.
It was...Dean Fenk.
She was,Currently,On the Phone.
"As Soon as This Library is Under My Control,All of That will Change," Dean Fenk mentioned,To the Person,She was talking to,On the Phone.
Velma stopped Listening,as She hid Back,Behind the Bookshelf.
"Dean Fenk? What is She doing Here?" Velma wondered to Herself.
"Have All the Paperwork Ready,I don't want Any Mistakes," Dean Fenk demanded,Emphasizing,How Much,She didn't want Mistakes,as She hung Up,And,Started to Walk Out of the Book Aisle.
Velma stayed Hidden,Behind the Bookshelf,Silently,as She watched Her Walk Out.
"She must be the Creepy Older Lady,Dan Fluunk was talking About," Velma realized.
Meanwhile.
Back in the Bathroom.
Daphne had,Just Finished Showering,as She turned Off the Water,Opened the Curtain,Slightly,And,Grabbed Her Towel,To Cover Herself Up.
Daphne stepped Out of the Shower as She walked,Up to the Bathroom Mirror,In Silence,To Wipe Some of the Steam Off of It.
When She Wiped,Some of the Steam,Off of the Mirror,A Hideous Face Appeared in It.
Daphne Screamed,In Surprise as She Jumped Back.
Daphne turned Around,About to make a Run for It,Before,Suddenly Stopping.
She Gasped,Seeing a Strange Shadowy Girl,Appear in Front of Her.
The Girl,Then,Moved into the Light,Revealing Herself to be Medusa as She and her Snake Hair Screeched at Her,And,Arose,Showing Her Whole Elongated Snake Body.
Daphne Screamed Out as She turned Around,Grabbed Her Robe,And,Ran towards Her Room Door.
Medusa Screeched at Daphne as She slithered,After Her,Ready to Bite.
Daphne burst Her Room Door Open,And,Came Out Running,While,Simultaneously,Putting Her Robe On.
Medusa Squealed as She Slithered,Through Her Doorway,Destroying the Whole Door,Entirely.
She Hissed as She wriggled,Through the Halls,Chasing Daphne.
Daphne Ran and Ran,Trying Everything,She could to Escape Her,But,She,Just kept Coming.
She ran,So Fast,That,She Almost Tripped,Before,Stopping Herself,And,Starting to Run,Once More.
Medusa Screamed as She burrowed,Into the Ground,Beneath Daphne.
Daphne looked Back,While,She was Running,Wondering,Why It was So Quiet.
When Daphne turned Back,To look in Front of Her,Medusa tore,Through the Floor,Back into the Hall as She loomed,Over Her,About to Attack Her.
Daphne,Slowly,Backed Up as She Walked and Stared at Her,Not Paying Attention to,Where She was Walking.
Since She wasn't Paying Attention,Medusa,Stealthily,Wrapped Her Tail,Around Daphne's Leg,And,Then,Up to Her Waist.
Daphne Screamed,In Terror as She pushed the Tail Off,From Around Her,Throwing It to the Floor,And,Taking Off Running Away from Her,Again.
Medusa Squealed,Furiously,as She went,Slinking,Back After Daphne.
Daphne opened the Door,To One of the Rooms,as She ran,Into It,And,Shut It,Right After Her.
Daphne leaned,Against It,And,Started to Pant,Trying to Catch Her Breath.
She turned to Her Side,Where She saw a Large Dresser,Next to Her.
Daphne grabbed,Ahold of the Dresser,And,Pushed It,To the Door,Blocking the Way in as She,Slowly,Backed Away from It.
"Like,What's Wrong? Daph? Are You Okay?" Fred asked as He shot Up,In Concern,Wondering,If She was Okay,While,Watching Her Back Up towards Him.
"Oh,Freddy,I'm So Scared," Daphne shouted as She put Her Arms,Around Him,And,Clinged to Him.
"Don't be Afraid,Daphne,I've got You," Fred reassured,Putting his Arms,Around Her,To Comfort Her.
"Fred,I-I Really Missed You," Daphne admitted,as Fred sat Down,Back on the Couch,With Daphne,Still,In his Arms.
"Missed You holding Me," Daphne continued as She laid Her Head Down,On his Chest,And,Closed Her Eyes.
"M-Missed Us," Daphne finished as She looked Up at Him,To Look at Him,Face to Face.
"Me Too," Fred replied as He scooted Her,Over to Him,Gently,And,Pushed his Lips into Hers,Kissing Her on the Lips.
Below the Couch,The Silhouette of Fred and Daphne could be Seen,Showing Fred's Shadow,To be Way taller than Daphne's.
Back in Louis's Room.
Louis,Still,Laid on the Couch,Asleep.
"Louis," A Voice called.
Louis twitched,Slightly,as He tried to Ignore It.
"Louis," The Voice called,Again.
Louis sat Up,Hearing the Voice.
"Hello!" Louis responded.
"Louis," The Voice called Out,Once Again.
"Sp-Spot,Is That You?" Louis wondered,Sitting Upright,as He looked Around his Room.
"That's not Me,Try Again," The Female Voice informed.
"Uh,Okay,Daphne," Louis guessed.
"Mm,Mm,Wrong Again," The Female Voice whispered as She put Her Hands,On his Shoulders.
Louis turned Around,In Alarm,Trying to See,Who She was.
But,When He turned Around,She wasn't There.
"Sc-Sc-Scooby,Are Y-You doing Another One of your Pranks?" Louis questioned.
"Nope,Not Scooby-Doo,Either,But,I could be Him," The Female Voice stated.
"What do you mean? You could be Him?" Louis interrogated,Starting to get Scared,And,Definitely not Trusting the Voice.
"I could be Him," The Voice announced,Emphasizing the 'I' as She came Out,Into the Light.
Revealing Herself to be...Tanya.
"Gran-Grandmother," Louis stuttered,Being Quite Confused,At the Moment.
"Am I? Or,Am I? Your Best Friend," Tanya commented as She shifted,From Herself to Scooby,In a Second.
"You're not My Grandmother," Louis mumbled,Looking at Scooby,In Fear.
"Of Course,I'm not,I'm your Best Buddy," Scooby said as He sat Next to Him,And,Cradled his Face,In his Paws.
"You're not Scooby,Either," Louis lashed Out,Angrily,as He grabbed Scooby's Paws,And,Forced Them off his Face.
"Lou,Do You not Trust Me?" Scooby mentioned,Starting to get Agitated.
"You're not fit to Use,That Voice,Cut It Out," Louis demanded,Knowing,That,The Scooby,He was Seeing wasn't Real.
"YOU'RE WRONG,I AM HIM,AND,I DON'T TRUST YOU,EITHER!!!!!" Not Scooby shouted,as his Voice turned Extremely Deep,And,He pinned Louis to the Couch,With his Paws,Pressed Up,Against Louis's Hands.
"Ah,You're Hurting Me," Louis notified,Struggling to break Free,From Not Scooby's Grip.
"DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE? I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!! YOU'VE BEEN LYING TO ME OVER AND OVER,AND,I'M SUPPOSED TO TRUST YOU,YOU'VE KEPT,SO MANY SECRETS,FROM ME,I'VE BEEN THERE FOR YOU, I'VE TAKEN CARE OF YOU,FOR SO LONG,BUT,ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOURSELF,COME TO THINK OF IT,I DON'T THINK ANY OF US CARE ABOUT YOU,WE'LL,JUST ABANDON YOU,AGAIN,I'M SURE,YOU LOVED ME,ABANDONING YOU,JUST LIKE YOUR PRECIOUS GRANDFATHER AND BROTHER DID!!!!!" Not Scooby yelled as He took Out his Claws,And,Dug Them,Into his Hands.
Louis Screamed as He started to feel the Pain,From the Claw Digging.
"LEAVE ME THE HECK ALONE!!!!" Louis cried Out,Wanting the Thing,To Stop.
"NO,I WILL NOT STOP,NOT UNTIL YOU LEAVE ALL OF EXISTENCE,AND,DISAPPEAR!!!!" Not Scooby shot Back,Getting All Up in Louis's Face,And,Digging his Knee,Into Louis's Stomach.
When Louis heard That,Louis closed his Eyes,And,Cried Out,To the Top of his Lungs,For Velma,Before,Breaking Out,Into Tears,From Everything,He had,Just heard.
Suddenly.
The Pain,Louis was Feeling,In his Hands and Stomach Disappeared.
The Feeling of Scooby's Face being Pressed Up,Against His,Went Away,As Well.
Louis opened his Eyes as He saw Nothing There.
Not Scooby had Completely Disappeared.
Louis sat Upright,And,Looked Around the Room,Looking for Any Sight of the Tanya/Scooby Thing.
But,All He found was,Just the Stuff,He had brought Up to the Room.
No Scooby,No Tanya,No Anybody,Just Him.
Louis,Then,Checked his Hands,He saw No Claw Marks,From Not Scooby digging his Claws,Into his Hands,There was Nothing There,Not,Even a Slight Mark.
It was like,Not Scooby wasn't,Even There.
"What the Heck is going On?" Louis muttered to Himself as he wiped Away his Tears.
At the Same Time.
Outside.
In the Cold.
Scooby laid,On One of the Under-Car-Rollers,Sniffing the Bottom of the Van,With his Feet,Sticking Out of the Side.
Scooby did the Last Bit of Sniffing,Before Rolling Back Out,From Underneath the Car.
"All Sniffed Out Underneath," Scooby warned,as He sat Up,On the Roller,Talking to the Person,Who was Working on the Engine.
The Door to the Mystery Machine's Engine hanged Open as The Person stuck Their Head Out,To Answer Him.
"Here,Too,Scoob,She's as Good as New," Fred announced,Announcing to Scooby,That,He was Done,As Well,as He shut the Door,To the Engine.
Scooby got Off the Car Roller,And,Walked Over to Fred.
"Couldn't have Done It without You," Fred complemented,as He softed Scooby's Head,As A Prize,For Helping Him.
Scooby and Fred left the Mystery Machine,And,Walked Back Inside,Into the Nice Warm Library.
Once They were Both Inside,Fred,Immediately,Pushed the Door,To the Library,Shut.
The Minute,Scooby got Inside,He Shivered as He Shook Himself,And,Got All of the Snow Off of his Fur.
"It's Cold," Scooby added.
"Even with the Mystery Machine fixed,We,Still,Have to Wait for the Storm to Blow Over,Before We go Anywhere," Fred reminded,Worriedly.
That was When.
Someone walked Up to Them,Silently.
Fred and Scooby looked,In Front of Them,To See,Who It was.
As They saw,It was,Just Don Fong standing There,Glaring at Them,With his Hands,Behind his Back.
Don Fong Muttered,Indistinctly,In an Angry Tone,Before,Raising a Whole Chicken,And,Throwing It at Scooby and Fred's Heads.
Scooby and Fred dodged the Coming Chicken as It hit the Wall,Instead.
"I wish,He'd Quit doing That,It's a Waste of Good Food," Scooby complained as He looked at the Poor Chicken,Laying on the Floor.
Fred and Scooby didn't say Another Word,After That,They,Just Walked Away,And,Marched Up the Stairs toward the Bedrooms.
Don Fong glared at Them as He watched Them,Walk Up the Stairs,Quietly.
Scooby watched Him,While,He walked Up the Stairs,Not Trusting Him,Very Much.
The Two walked,Across the Hall,Over to Shaggy's Bedroom.
"Shaggy," Scooby called,While,Quietly,Knocking on the Door,With his Paw.
Scooby didn't hear an Answer.
"Shaggy," Scooby called,Again,as He grabbed the Doorknob,Trying to Open the Door,Before,Going Back to Knocking on the Door.
"Don't Worry,Scoob,He,Probably,Just fell Asleep," Fred reassured,Softly.
"But,Shaggy never Falls Asleep,Before,I read Him his Bedtime Story," Scooby informed.
"Why not Try Louis's?" Fred suggested.
Scooby nodded,In Agreement,Not Minding,Going for his Best Buddy's Room.
They Cuddled,All the Time,Anyway,So,It wasn't Really a Problem for Him.
Scooby walked,Over to Louis's Room Door,as He knocked on the Room Door,With his Paws.
"Louis,You Awake?" Scooby whispered,Quietly,Trying to Call Him,And,See if He was Awake.
Scooby heard No Answer.
Scooby grasped the Doorknob,In his Paws,as He tried to Open the Door.
He tried to turn the Knob, but It wouldn't Turn.
The Door was Locked,As Well.
Scooby Whimpered as He came to,That Realization.
Scooby continued to Whimper as He started to Scratch at the Door,Hoping,That,Louis would hear It.
"Come On,Scoob,You can sleep in My Room," Fred offered as He turned Around,And,Motioned for Scooby to follow Him.
Scooby got Off his Hind Legs,And,Followed Fred towards his Bedroom.
Scooby stopped,For a Minute,as He turned Back,To his Buddies's Rooms,Whimpering One Last Time,Before,Turning Back to Fred,And,Following Him.
In the Other Room.
The Room was Filled,With the Red Mist,Surrounding the Whole Sofa,Near the Fireplace.
Daphne and Not Fred were,Still,Kissing.
Daphne had Her Arms,Around Him,as She kept Them,In the Kiss.
Not Fred stopped,For a Second,To Say Something.
Revealing Him to Actually be...Shaggy.
"Like,Daphne,You're,So...Perfect,So...Beautiful," Shaggy complemented as He looked Down at Her,Smiling.
"Oh,Freddy," Daphne muttered as Her and Shaggy leaned,Into Another Kiss.
As They continued to Kiss,The Room got Filled with More of the Red Mist.
Later,On That Night.
Scooby was,Walking,Through the Halls,Looking for Shaggy and Louis.
Scooby walked,Through the Hall,Looking for Them.
Scooby Whimpered as He continued to Look Around,While,He Walked,Not Liking,Where It was going.
"Shaggy? Louis?" Scooby called as He turned the Corner,And,Walked,Into Another Hall,Continuing his Search.
Scooby gulped as He continued to Walk,Through the Hallway.
Suddenly.
Scooby heard a Familiar Voice.
"Scooby,Scooby-Doo," Shaggy called Out.
"Shaggy," Scooby guessed,Recognizing the Voice,And,Smiling,as He walked towards the Door,He was hearing the Voice,Coming From.
Scooby opened the Door,To the Bathroom,Slowly,Hoping to Catch Sight of Him.
"Huh?" Scooby responded,Not Seeing Him Anywhere,as He looked,Into the Bathroom,With Confusion.
That was When.
Shaggy opened the Shower Curtain,Revealing Himself.
Scooby let Out a Sigh of Relief,Seeing his Buddy There,And,Not Some Monster.
Shaggy stepped Out of the Shower,Walking,Slowly,Over to Scooby.
Scooby,Now,Happy,Walked over to Him,As Well,Ready to hug Him.
But,When Shaggy walked,Over to Where Scooby was.
Something Else could be Seen,In the Mirror.
The Same,Anubis-Like Thing,That,The Family saw.
Scooby turned to Mirror,In Alarm,Seeing the Thing,Before,Turning Back to Shaggy.
Except,Shaggy wasn't There,Anymore.
Only the Anubis-Like Thing was.
Scooby Gasped as He saw the Thing,Looming over Him.
The Thing lifted,It's Hands,Attempting to Grab Ahold of Them.
Scooby Screamed Out,In Alarm,as He ran Out the Bathroom Door,Away from It,Trying to Escape.
As Scooby continued to Run,He looked Back,To See,If It was following Him.
Scooby Whimpered as He continued to Look Back,Not Paying Attention,To What was,In Front of Him.
By the Time,Scooby turned Back,To Look,In Front of Him,It was Too Late.
He could See,The Large Werewolf Creature,From the Other Night,as It ran,At Him,With It's Claws Out,And,Attacked.
Scooby Gasped as He opened his Eyes,In Fear,Revealing the Whole Thing to be a Dream.
What Scooby didn't Know was,That,The Red Mist had been,Right Behind Him,While,He was Asleep.
But,When He had Woken Up,The Red Mist Disappeared.
Scooby laid,On his Stomach,Speechless,as He looked Around,The Room.
"Huh," Scooby mumbled,While,Looking Around.
Scooby Gulped,Before,Putting his Paws,On his Head,And,Laying his Head,Back Down,While,Whimpering,Fearfully.
All of a Sudden.
Something dropped,From Inside the Room,Surprising Scooby.
Scooby Screamed as He jumped Up,And,Ran Out of the Room,Towards One of the Other Rooms.
"Louis,Louis," Scooby called Out To,As He ran through the Halls,Scared Half Out of his Mind.
Scooby,Just,Burst Open the Door to One of the Rooms,In Desparation,Not,Even Thinking,About,Which Room,He went Into.
"Louis,Louis,I,Just had a Bad Dream," Scooby informed,In a Really Scared Tone as He slammed the Door Shut.
"Oh,SD,I'm So Sorry about That," Velma apologized,Softly,Just Saying Something,Out of Nowhere.
"Velma?" Scooby responded,In Surprise,Surprise to See,Velma,In the Room,as He looked at Her,With a Confused Face.
Scooby looked Around the Room,Looking for Louis,But,Only Seeing Velma There,No Louis.
He thought,He had gone,Into Louis's Room,But,It turned Out to be Velma's.
But,He didn't Mind,He,Just wanted to See,A Familiar Face,That wasn't Shaggy's.
"I,Just had a Nightmare,And,It was Really Scary,So,I went,Looking for Louis,But,I can't find Him,And,When I tried to Go in There,Earlier,I couldn't,Cause the Door was locked," Scooby blurted Out,All at Once,Saying It All,Super Quick.
"Whoa,Whoa,Scoob,Slow Down,You're talking,Too Fast,I can,Barely,Understand You,Here,Why don't You sit Down,Beside Me,And,Tell Me All about It," Velma offered as She patted Her Hand,On the Seat,Beside Her.
Scooby nodded,Softly,In Agreement,as He walked,Over to Her Couch,And,Sat,Right Next to Her,About to Start his Explanation of the Dream.
"Alright,Now,Slowly,Tell Me about It,Slowly,Not as Fast as You were," Velma requested,Firmly,as She motioned for Him,To Come Sit.
"Okay,The Dream started Fine,I was walking through the Halls,Of the Library,Searching for My Best Friends,Louis and Shaggy,But,For This Strange Reason,When I was Searching,I,Already had This Scared Feeling,That,I couldn't shake," Scooby started as He ran,Over to Velma,And,Sat Down,On the Couch,Beside Her,Taking a Deep Breath,To Calm Down,Before,Slowly,Explaining It to Her.
"Did You find Them?" Velma asked,Out of Curiosity,as She scooted Closer,To Him.
"Well,Not Both of Them,I found One of Them,It was Shaggy,Or,So,I thought,When We approached Each Other,What It Really looked like was,In the Mirror,It was This Monster,This Giant Dog Thing,And,It was posing as Shaggy,I ran,From It,I ran,As Fast as I could,But,It didn't matter,Cause,When I looked Back,It dashed Up to Me,And,I think,It killed Me,It was Horrible and Scary," Scooby explained,Finishing his Dream,Telling the Whole Thing with a Scared Tone,In his Voice.
"Oh,Scooby,That is Horrible and Scary" Velma agreed,Putting Her Hand on his Shoulder,While,She spoke.
"I Know,It was,I don't want to die,I have,Too Much to Live For," Scooby stated,Expressing,How Much,He didn't want to die.
"Yeah,You do have a Lot to Live For,For Louis,For Shaggy,For Me,For-" Velma added,as She softed Scooby's Head,While,She talked to Him.
"Wait,For You?" Scooby repeated,Confusingly.
"Uh,Yeah,I-I don't want You to Die,Either,I love You,Better,When You're Alive," Velma complemented,as She blushed,When He repeated,What She had Said.
"You don't want Me to Die?" Scooby questioned,Distrustfully.
"No,Of Course,I don't want You To,Scooby,I l-love You,Too Much,To Want You to," Velma replied as,While,The Two talked,The Red Mist had Already,Fully Surrounded the Room.
"You love Me?" Scooby repeated,Quietly,In Shock.
"Um,Well,Yeah," Velma stuttered,as She rubbed the Back of Her Neck,Nervously.
"Like a Friend," Scooby guessed,Raising an Eyebrow.
"No,Like This," Velma disagreed,as She leaned,Closer to Him,And,Cradled his Face,Before,Slowly,Attempting to Lean,Into a Kiss.
Scooby's Eyes Widened as He saw Her,Leaning towards Him.
Scooby,Instantly,Got It,When He saw Her,Leaning towards Him.
She didn't like Him as a Friend,She was,Actually,In Love with Him.
Strangely,Scooby didn't Hesitate,Either,He,Just,Closed his Eyes,And,Leaned in Back,as They got Closer and Closer to Each Other's Lips.
Scooby and Velma's Lips were,Just One Inch,From Each Others,Velma,Now,Leaning,Against the Couch,And,Scooby putting his Paw,On the Couch,Beside Velma's Head,as the Two were,About to Kiss.
When,Suddenly.
The Red Mist,That was,In the Room,Disappeared.
Revealing Velma,To Actually be...Louis
Louis opened his Eyes,About to Kiss the Person,He thought,He was Seeing.
Revealing,That,Person to be Scooby.
"Scooby!!" Louis shouted Out,In Surprise
Scooby,Still,Waiting for the Kiss,Started to lean in Closer,Until,He heard Louis's Voice.
Scooby opened his Eyes,To See,Louis,There,And,Himself,Leaning Over Him.
"Louis!!" Scooby responded,In Surprise,Seeing Him,There,Instead of Velma.
"You're not,Who I thought,You were," Scooby and Louis announced,In Unison,Both talking to the Other One,Trying to Explain to the Other.
"Who'd You See?" Louis asked.
"It's Complicated,Who'd You See?" Scooby answered,Before,Repeating the Question to Louis.
"It's Complicated," Louis replied,Firmly.
"Well,This is Awkward," Scooby commented.
"Ya Think?" Louis retorted,In an Uncomfortable Tone.
Scooby looked Around,Trying to Make Sure,No One Else saw,What had,Just Happened.
He didn't want Anyone Else,Seeing It,And,Getting the Wrong Idea,About Them.
"Uh,Scooby," Louis called,Gently.
"Huh?" Scooby said,Turning Back to Louis.
"Could You move your Paw,And,Get Off,From Leaning Over Me," Louis requested,Politely,Trying to hide the Fact,Of How Uncomfortable He was,At the Moment.
The Reason,He was,So Uncomfortable being,The Fact,That,He did not see Scooby like That,And,He never would.
Hopefully,Scooby wouldn't Either,Cause,Louis was,Just not Interested.
And,He wouldn't know,What to Say,If Scooby,Ever became Interested,But,The Answer,Just,Definitely,Wouldn't be a 'Yes'.
It would,Just give Him,Another Reason,To feel Bad,For What He's Done.
The First being,What the Not Scooby Thing had Screamed Out at Him,Earlier.
"Oh,Yeah,Sure," Scooby stuttered,Uncomfortably,Agreeing to Louis's Request as He lifted his Paw,From,Beside Louis's Head,And,Got Off,From Leaning Over Him,To an Upright Position.
Scooby Chuckled,Sheepishly,as He turned to Louis,To make Sure his Friend was Okay,From the Crazy Thing,That had,Just Happened.
For Once,Louis didn't look Back at Him,He stared at the Door,With Concern.
"What is That?" Louis mentioned,Pointing to Something,At the Door,Trying Not to,Even get on a Conversation about the Things,That had been Happening.
Scooby looked,Towards,Where Louis was Pointing,as He looked at It.
It was the Last Bit of the Red Mist,It was,Slipping Out of the Room,And,Into the Hall.
"I don't Know," Scooby whispered,Quietly,Thinking,It might be the Creature,From his Dream.
"Come On," Louis ordered,as He slipped Off his Couch,Onto his Wheelchair,Rolling,Quickly,Out the Door,After the Red Mist.
Scooby nodded as He jumped Off the Couch,And,Ran Out the Door,To help Louis chase,After It.
Meanwhile.
In the Library.
A Large Picture of Oswald P. Burlington,Mr. Peaches, and the Rest of his Friends laid Upright,On the Desk,In the Library,Along with Multiple Books,Schematics, and Articles about Oswald P. Burlington and his Fellow Friends.
At the Edge of the Desk,Velma laid,With her Face,In One of the Books,Fast Asleep as She Snored,While,She slept,With Other Books around Her.
Velma continued to Snore as She kept her Face,In the Book,Having Fallen Asleep,During her Research on Oswald P. Burlington.
Velma Gasped,Waking Up,as She shot Up,Getting Her Face,Out of Her Book.
Velma rubbed Her Eyes as She began to Cough,From having her Face in a Book,For So Long.
She Shivered,Starting to feel,How Cold,It was in the Library as She grasped her Arms,And,Started to Shake from the Cold.
Velma got Up as She walked Over,To the Fire,With a Handful of Firewood,In Hand,And,Threw the Handful of Wood,Into the Fire.
The Minute,Velma threw It in,Some of the Smoke,From the Fire,Flew into Velma's Eyes.
Velma turned Away,From It,as She Coughed,Heavily,From the Smoke,Starting to wave Her Hand in Her Face.
All of a Sudden
Velma heard Loud Quick Grunts.
"Huh?" Velma responded as She turned to the Direction of the Sound.
It was Coming From,Where the Statue of Mr. Peaches stood.
And,When Velma turned to It,She saw an Empty Space,Where Mr. Peaches should have been.
Velma,Then,Heard the Loud Quick Grunts,Again.
But,This Time,They were Way Closer.
Velma Gulped as She,Slowly,Looked Up to the Ceiling.
When She looked Up,She saw the Statue of Mr. Peaches,There,Hanging from the Chandelier.
Mr. Peaches Growled as He swinged Back and Forth,From Side to Side.
Suddenly.
Mr. Peaches Roared as He jumped Off the Chandelier,Onto the Table.
Velma Screamed,Seeing Him,Jumping towards Her, as She covered Her Face,In Terror.
Mr. Peaches Snarled as He got ,In Velma's Face,And,Roared Out at Her.
Velma Screamed,In Response,as She began to shake.
Mr. Peaches lifted his Hands,Attempting to grab Her.
Velma,Still Screaming,Quickly Ducked,Dodging his Hands,as She ducked,Again,Sliding underneath his Arms,To Escape.
"Oh,Jinkies,Oh,Jinkies," Velma yelled as She ran Away,From Him and the Table,Trying to escape Him.
Mr Peaches jumped,From the Table's Edge,All the Way to the Stack of Books,as He punched the Books,Down to the Ground.
"Oh,Jinkies," Velma shouted,as She ran Away,From the Stack of Books,Towards One of the Library Book Aisles.
Velma Panted,While,She ran,Now,Running with Her Eyes Closed,Through the Library,Straight into a Book Aisle.
Velma continued to Run,Knowing of Shortcut to the Exit,So,She could warn the Others about the Statue.
Velma Gasped,In Surprise,as She skidded to a Stop.
Mr. Peaches,Now,Hanged,From Two of the Book Shelves,In Front of Her Growling.
That was When,A Large Train blew It's Whistle.
Mr. Peaches stopped,Hearing the Train,And,Recognizing It.
As the Train's Whistle blew,The Whole Room began to Shake.
"Huh," Velma mumbled,Turning to the Direction of the Whistle.
The Whistle blew,Again,as the Whole Table and Chairs shook,Like Crazy.
Then,Something Weird Happened.
A Large Portal Opened Up as a Train flew,Into the Room,With People riding,On Top of It.
On It,In the Conductor Station,Oswald P. Burlington and his Friends were There,Smiling as They looked Ahead of Them.
Mr. Peaches Smiled as He jumped,Onto the Book Shelf,And,Dashed towards the Train.
"M-M-Mr. Peaches," Mr. Peaches yelled Out as He jumped Up,From the Book Shelf,Onto the Train Roof.
Mr. Burlington turned,From Looking Ahead,To Velma,as He,Politely,Waved at Her,Then,Turned Back to Looking Ahead.
Velma saw It,And,Smiled,as She watched Them,Silently,Fly through the Library.
The Train flew,Right Past Her Book Shelf towards the Oswald Portrait.
Velma exited the Book Aisle,So,She could See,Where They were Heading.
Once the Train was Close Enough to the Portrait,A Portal like the One,Before,Opened Up,And,The Train flew,Straight into the Portal,Disappearing,Right Afterwards.
The Books,That,Mr. Peaches had punched to the Floor,Was Flying,Through the Air,But,When the Train Disappeared,The Books,All fell Back,Onto the Floor.
The Glow and Portal Disappeared,As Well,Exactly,At the Same Time,As the Train did.
As Soon,As It All Disappeared,Velma went Right Back to Screaming.
Velma continued to Scream as She ran Out of the Library,Towards the Hall of Rooms.
Velma ran,Into the Halls,Running and Screaming,And,Calling Out for Her Friends.
"Help,Help,Louis,Daphne,Fred,Scooby Shaggy,Help" Velma called Out,as She ran,Through the Hall of Rooms,Looking for Them.
Scooby,Louis,By Now,Having Lost the Red Mist,Heard Her Calls,Along with Fred,And,They,Immediately,Came Running towards Her.
The Three ran Up to Her,Running as Fast as They could.
The Trio stopped,When They saw Her.
"Velma,Are You Okay?" Louis and Scooby asked,Simultaneously.
"G-G-Ghost Train,Mr. Peaches,Gah,Ooh,Ooh,Aah Aah," Velma stuttered,Trying to Explain,as She made Monkey Noises,And,Motioned with Her Hands,Scratches.
"Um," Fred muttered,Still,Not getting It.
"Burlington,Burlington," Velma blurted Out,Waving Her Arms,In a Panicked Motion.
"Shaggy! Where's My Shaggy?" Scooby asked,Wondering,Where Shaggy was.
Louis,Velma and Fred,All Shrugged,Not Knowing,Where He was.
The Four of Them,All went Straight,Over to Shaggy's Room.
Where the Dresser was,Still,Laying Against the Room Door.
But,This Time,Scooby didn't Knock.
He,Just,Burst the Room Door Open,Breaking the Dresser,In Half,And,Dropping It to the Floor.
Scooby jumped,Into the Room,And,Skidded to a Stop on the Carpet as He saw Something.
Louis,Velma and Fred ran,Into the Room,Running after Scooby,as They came to a Stop,In the Room.
The Other Three saw,What Scooby was Seeing,As Well.
Velma Gasped,In Surprise,Not Expecting,What She was Seeing.
"Oh,Dear,Well,This is Disturbing,Not to Mention,Going to be Interesting to Explain," Louis commented,Not finding the Current Thing,Very Cute.
"It's...It's Horrible," Fred complained as He looked at It,With a Horrified Look on his Face.
What The Four saw was,Shaggy and Daphne laying,On the Couch Cuddling,Close Together.
Daphne had her Hands,On Shaggy's Shoulders,And,Her Head on his Chest,While,Shaggy,Just laid,There,Holding Her,In his Arms.
Scooby and Fred didn't,Even Say Another Word,They,Just Froze Up,With Their Eyes Widened,In Horror,as They froze,Into a Statue Position,In Unison.
"Uh Oh,Scooby,Scooby," Louis called as He shook Scooby,Trying to Snap Him Out of,Whatever had,Just Happened.
"You've gotta to be Joking," Velma complained.
"Vel,There's Something Wrong with Scooby," Louis warned.
"It's not,Just Him,It's Fred,Too," Velma pointed Out.
Shaggy and Daphne,Hearing All the Commotion,Quickly,Shot Up,To See,What was going On.
The Two,Then,Turned to Each Other,Both seeing Someone,They didn't expect to See.
"Huh?" Shaggy whispered as He stared at Daphne,And,Looked at Her,In Confusion.
"Huh?" Daphne mumbled as She stared at Shaggy,With Surprise,Not Seeing,Who She thought,She had been With.
Daphne and Shaggy didn't,Even,Wait Another Minute,They,Just,Quickly Got Up,And,Went Over to Fred and Scooby.
"Fred? Freddy,Please,Snap Out of It,I Swear,Nothing Happened," Daphne begged,Trying to Explain to Him,as She snapped Her Fingers,In Front of his Face,Before,Walking Over to his Side,To Face Him.
At the Same Time.
Shaggy and Louis were,Attempting to Snap Scooby Out of It.
Shaggy was,Just,Waving his Hand,In Front of his Face,While,Louis was,Pulling on Scooby's Muzzle.
"Come On,Scoob,I Know,You hate This,Now,Snap Out of It," Louis demanded,as He pulled,On his Muzzle as Hard as He could.
"Like,Daphne's Right,Nothing Happened,Except for the Most Amazing Kiss of my Entire Life," Shaggy added,Agreeing with Her,But,Then,Talking about the Exact Opposite.
Daphne turned to Shaggy with a Worried Look,While,Louis turned to Him,With a Mad Look.
"Not Helping,Shag," Louis informed,Firmly.
"Oh,Oh,Sorry,Not Helping,Didn't say That,Nothing Happened," Shaggy rephrased as He turned Away,With his Hand Up to the Air,Emphasizing his Point.
"I thought,Shaggy was You,Fred," Daphne mentioned,Putting her Hands on Fred's Chest.
"Yeah,And,Like,I thought,I was You,Too," Shaggy agreed.
"I don't See,How This is Helping," Velma muttered to Herself as She watched Them,Talk about It.
"Like,It was So Cool,Having Muscles,And,A Jaw and a Chin,Like,A Real Chin," Shaggy continued,Going On and On about,How Much,He liked,Thinking,He was Fred,as He put his Hands on his Hips,And,Lifted his Face to the Air,Proudly.
"It's,Still,Not Working," Daphne notified.
"No,It's not,I've tried Everything I Know,I,Even tickled Scooby's Feet,And,He hates It,When I do That," Louis stated,In a Worried Tone,Getting Worried,If The Other Two would,Ever Snap Out of It.
"Why does He hate That?" Shaggy asked,In Confusion.
"He says,It feels Weird,And,He's,Just,Generally,Not Ticklish Down There," Louis replied,Plainly,as He shrugged his Shoulders,After Saying,How Scooby was,Just,Not Ticklish,On his Feet.
Daphne Sighed as She saw Them,Still Frozen.
"What if They're Minds are Permanently Gone?" Daphne voiced,Voicing Her Concern,as She put her Hands on her Hips.
"How would We Know?" Velma retorted,Sarcastically.
"Velma," Daphne and Louis shot Back,In Unison,as They glared at Her.
"Dude,Not Cool," Shaggy added.
"Fine,Why don't We,Just fix It the Old Fashion Way?" Velma suggested,In an Annoyed Tone.
"And,That is?" Louis questioned,Not getting It.
Velma rolled Her Eyes as She walked,Over to the Two Boys.
"Wake Up,You're Dreaming," Velma shouted,In Scooby and Fred's Faces.
The Minute,Scooby and Fred heard That,They,Both snapped Back to Their Senses,as They looked at Velma,Confusingly.
Velma,Seeing,That,They were,Now Awake,She walked Back to Her Spot,Where She was Previously Standing.
"Oh,That Old Fashion Way," Louis realized,Just Now,Getting It.
Scooby and Fred Smiled as They began to Move and Talk,Again.
"Hey,Gang,What's Up?" Fred announced.
"Not Much," Shaggy answered,Happily,as He stood,In Front of Them,With his Arms Crossed.
"Wow,You Guys would not believe the Crazy Dream I had," Fred said as Him and Scooby walked,Over to the Rest of the Gang.
"Me Too,Yuck," Scooby agreed,as He stuck Out his Tongue,Just Thinking about It.
Daphne and Shaggy Sighed,In Relief,Happy to Know,That,They were Both,Back to Normal.
"Yeah,Yeah,We,Probably wouldn't believe It," Louis responded,Awkwardly,Finding,How They had to do It,A Little Ridiculous.
Shaggy and Daphne,Both walked to Separate Sides of the Room,To keep Their Distance,Just in Case.
"Now,That,We're All Back to a State of Total Denial," Velma commented,In an Annoyed Tone.
"We should,Probably talk about Clues," Louis guessed,Finishing Velma's Sentence.
"Exactly,Do Any of You Remember Anything at All,That,Will Help Us Solve This Crazy Mystery?" Velma wondered,Agreeing with Louis's Guess,Before,Asking Them,What They Remembered.
"Not Really,I put Wood on the Fire to heat the Shower,And,Then,Everything went Haywire," Daphne warned,as She put her Hands Up,Getting Confused,Just Thinking about It.
"Like,That's Weird,I was putting Wood on the Fire in Here,A Few Minutes,Before,You came In," Shaggy mentioned.
"And,There was Fire burning in the Kitchen,Earlier," Scooby brought Up,Reminding Shaggy,That,It was On,In the Kitchen,As Well.
"Hey,That's Right,The Fire was burning,In My Room,A Couple of Minutes,Before,Not Scooby showed Up," Louis added.
"Who's Not Me?" Scooby asked,Out of Confusion,Raising an Eyebrow.
"Oh,Uh,Well,It's a Long Story,I'll tell You Later," Louis stuttered,Forgetting the Fact,That,The Others didn't Know about That,as He told Him,He'd tell Him Later.
"Jinkies! I put Wood in the Fire,In the Library,Right before Mr. Peaches came to Life,And,The Ghost Train came Rolling Through," Velma explained.
"Then,That's Where We'll Start," Fred ordered,Seriously.
Later.
In the Library.
Velma sat,In One of the Chairs,Looking at One of the Pieces of Firewood,From One of the Rooms,With a Magnifying Glass,And,The Rest of Mystery Incorporated gathered Around Her.
Shaggy,Fred and Scooby were,On One Side,And,Daphne and Louis,On the Other,as They leaned,Over Her,To See,What She was Looking at.
Velma picked Up,One of the Pieces of Firewood,as She looked at It,Closely.
When She looked Closer,The Gang leaned In,Closer,To See.
Velma moved Her Magnifying Glass,Closer to the Wood,So,She could See,If Her Hunch was Correct.
"Just as I Suspected," Velma announced.
"What? What did You Suspect?" Louis and Scooby questioned,In Unison.
"Gang,This isn't Normal Wood," Velma replied,Dropping the Magnifying Glass,And,The Piece of Wood, as She got Up,And,Motioned for Them to follow Her.
The Gang followed Her,Into the Exhibit,Part of the Library,as She pointed to a Large Pile of Wood,In the Shape of a Tent,With Her Hands.
"It's called,Terrorwood,A Special Tree,That,Produces Terror inducing Daydreams and Phantasms,From It's Smoke,When Burnt," Velma explained.
"Which We All experienced," Daphne commented.
"Some of Those Hallucinations involved,Kissing the Lips of an Absolute Angel,Ha,Ha,Ha," Shaggy reminded,Going Back to the Subject,They weren't supposed to be Talking About,Laughing about It,Contentively.
"Yeah,Some of Them being an Almost Kiss,Yuck," Louis agreed,Firmly,Remembering,What had Happened,Between Him and Scooby.
"What? Shaggy,What are You talking About?" Fred wondered,Defensively.
"Oh,Sorry,Continue," Shaggy apologized,Apologizing for bringing It Up,Before,Requesting for Velma,To Continue.
"Ancient Shamans used Terrorwood Smoke,In Their Rituals,Thousands of Years Ago,In the Amazon," Velma eludicated.
"How'd They get All the Way,From the Amazon,To Here?" Louis brought Up,Wondering,How They traveled,So Far.
"We'll get to That,When We catch the Crook,But,There's Something Else,I want You to See," Velma answered,as She warned Them,She wanted to Show Them,Something Else
"Lead the Way,V," Louis requested.
Velma walked,Over to the Book Section,as She grabbed a Book,And,Set It Down on the Table.
The Others looked Down at the Book,Waiting for Her to Explain.
"Oswald P. Burlington had a Mystery Solving Gang,Just like Mystery Incorporated,Although,He called his,The Benevolent Lodge of Mystery,Two Guys,Two Girls and an Animal Mascot," Velma read,as She pointed to the Part of the Book,About Them.
"Whoa,Didn't We start Out like That,Before,I came In?" Louis voiced.
"Exactly,Now,You're Catching On," Velma complemented,Happily,as She winked at Him.
Louis Smiled,Hearing Her,as He blushed,From Her Complement.
While,The Others were Continuing to listen to Velma Talk,Scooby lifted his Ear Up.
Scooby turned Around,Hearing Something,Coming Up,Behind Them,as He watched The Person's Shadow,Disappear,Into the Library Hall.
"Someone's There," Scooby interrupted,Pointing to the Hall,Where the Shadow had,Just Left.
"Who was It,Scoob?" Shaggy asked,Lending Him an Ear.
"Don Fong?" Fred guessed.
"Dean Fenk?" Velma suspected.
"Dan Fluunk?" Daphne assumed.
"Which One was It,SD?" Louis wondered as He put his Hand,On Scooby's Shoulder.
"Dean Funk,I,I Mean,Dan Fink," Scooby tried to Say,Starting to get Confused.
"Don Fong?" Velma added,Taking a Guess at,What He was Saying.
"Fink,Dan,Dong,Fink,Flunk,Fluke," Scooby stuttered,Losing his Train of Thought,Not Knowing,Exactly,Who It was.
"Don't Worry,Scoob,The Use of Typical Phonetics,Aside,The Villain could be Any One of Them," Fred reassured,as He warned Him,That,It could be Any One of Them.
"But?" Louis declared,Knowing,Exactly,What Fred was going to Say.
"I Think,I Know,Just,How to Smoke Out the Right One," Fred said,Putting his Finger on his Chin,as He created a Plan.
The Others Smiled,Brightly,Knowing Exactly,What He was Thinking
Later On,That Night.
Louis,Scooby and the Others were Working,On the Trap.
Louis was doing the Actual Work,While,Scooby was Sitting Down on the Mount of Terrorwood, as They,Both, sat,In Complete Silence.
"So,We ever gonna talk about It?" Scooby mentioned.
"Talk about What?" Louis questioned,Firmly,as He sat,In his Wheelchair,Tying Ropes for the Trap.
"The Kiss,The Almost Kiss,We had," Scooby blurted Out,Jogging Louis's Memory.
"What's There to Talk About?" Louis retorted,In an Upset Tone.
"Uh,All of It,I Mean,You do Know,I didn't want to Kiss You,That,It wasn't,On Purpose,Right?" Scooby stated,Trying to make Sure,Everything was Good,Between Them.
"Yeah,I Know," Louis replied,Answering Scooby,as He,Still Frowned.
"Look,I Know,We crossed a Boundary,But,I didn't do It,On Purpose,It's not like,I was,Trying to Kiss You,I,Just Saw Someone Else,And,Thought,I was,About to Kiss Them," Scooby continued,Trying to make It Clear,That,He didn't do It,On Purpose.
"I Know,That," Louis repeated,Glancing at Scooby,For a Second,Before,Turning Back to the Trap.
"Then,Why are You,So Upset? Did I do Something Wrong?" Scooby interrogated,Wanting to Know,Why Louis was,So Upset.
Louis sighed as He stopped a Minute,To Explain.
Louis turned Around,To Face Scooby,So,He could See his Reaction,For When He said It.
"Do You care about Me? Does the Gang care about Me? Are You,Still Mad at Me,For Lying to You,For So Long? Do I,Only Care about Myself? Am I Always in My Own Problems? And,Are You Guys going to Abandon Me? These are Questions,That,Keep Going Through my Head,Over and Over,And,The More,I think about It,The More,I hate Myself,For being,So Stupid,So Selfish,So,Into Myself,That,I don't See,Anyone Else's Problems" Louis brought Up,Asking Scooby,All Those Questions,With an Upset Tone,In his Voice,as He started to raise his Voice,The More,He went On about It.
"Lou,Of Course,I Care about You,Of Course,We care about You,As for the Rest of Those Questions,They are All Incorrect,You shouldn't,Even be Thinking about Those,Or,Even Considering Them,You are Not Stupid,Or Selfish,And,You aren't,Always in your Own Problems,I could name Multiple Situations,Where You have thought of Me,Shaggy,Velma,Fred and Daphne,You've thought of All of This," Scooby answered,Answering All the Questions,Louis had brought Up,Before going,Into Reasons,Why,That was the Case.
"You're Sure?" Louis muttered as He looked Up at Scooby,Making Sure,It was,What He Meant,
"I mean It,Louis,All of It,Where's This Coming From?" Scooby responded,Getting Serious about It,Before,Asking Him,Where He was getting All of It From.
"Oh,Nothing,I was,Just Wondering," Louis lied,Looking Around,Nervously,Doing All He could,To Make Sure,He didn't figure Out.
"This is about the Not Scooby Thing,Isn't It?" Scooby guessed,Guessing It,Right on the Spot.
"Yeah," Louis mumbled,Disappointedly,Having Not Wanted Him to figure Out,But,Now,It was Too Late.
"Come On,You can tell Me,I'm your Best Friend,You can tell Me Anything,This Keeping Things to Yourselves is Over,You're not Alone,Anymore,Your Grandmother may Not be Here,But,I am,The Others are,We're Here for You,But,You,Just have to Open Up," Scooby offered,Attempting to be There for Him,Trying to get Him,To Open Up.
"Okay,You're Right,You're Right,I'll tell You,I'm Sorry,I,Probably,Should have told You,Earlier," Louis agreed,Agreeing to tell Him,as He Apologizied and Admitted,How He should have told Him,Sooner.
"Don't Worry about It,L,Come On,You can tell Me,What Happened,While,We wait for the Others to Finish," Scooby ordered,as Him and Louis,Rolled and Walked Out,Side by Side,Exiting the Library,To head Up to Their Room.
As the Two were Walking and Rolling Out,Louis leaned his Head,Onto Scooby's Shoulder,On the Way to the Upstairs.
Later On.
Now,That,The Trap was Set, Mystery Incorporated put Their Plan in Motion.
They All walked Out of the Room,In Unison,Into the Halls as They got Ready to Speak.
"Oh,Gee,Gang,We do love It Here,Ever So Much," Fred shouted,Throughout the Hall,as the Rest of the Gang were,By his Side,Walking beside Him,Following his Lead.
Hearing Fred's Shouts,Don Fong opened his Door,as He watched Them,Walk Down the Hall,Looking at Them,Suspiciously.
The Gang walked Out of the Hall,Towards the Big Fireplace,In Front of the Library.
"Yes,The Burlington Library is,Like,Our Home,Away from Home," Daphne commented as She lifted her Hands,Toward the Fireplace,While,Still Talking.
"Like,We should stay Here,Forever," Shaggy suggested.
"Agreed,Forever," Louis agreed as Him and the Others put Their Hands,Together,In Excitement.
"And,Ever and Ever," Scooby added as They Stood and Sat,In Front of the Fireplace,With Smiles on Their Faces.
While,The Gang talked.
Behind the Wall.
Dan Fluunk leaned Against It,Secretly,Listening,as He Frowned,At,What He was Hearing.
"Let's Go Unpack,And,Move in for Months,And Months,And Months," Velma commanded as The Others nodded,In Agreement,And,Walked Over to Their Rooms,To Go 'Unpack'.
At the Mid-Stairs.
Dean Fenk stood,Listening to Them,Talk about Staying,as She,Also,Frowned,Not Liking,What She heard.
During the Night.
The Anubis-like Thing's Shadow zoomed,Through the Halls.
It floated,Through the Hall of Rooms,Towards the Exhibit Part of the Library.
The Creature entered the Exhibit Part of Library,as It looked Around,Suspiciously,Making Sure,No One was Around.
The Thing floated,Over to the Mound of Terrorwood,as It reached Out,For One.
The Creature grasped,One of the Sticks,Tightly,as He tried to Pull It Off,Instantly,Activating the Trap.
Cause,What It didn't Know was,That,The Stick,It chose was tied to a Rope,To Activate the Trap.
When It pulled On the Stick,The Rope was Pulled,Turning Two Gears,Moving One of the Platforms,To Wipe Itself,Across,Some Sandpaper,Making a Small Flame.
The Small Flame rose,From the Sandpaper,Up to a Rope,Burning the Rope,as It made the Rope Snap,In Half.
Once the Rope had Snapped,It release a Large Punching Glove,With the Stick Part of the Glove,Being a Shovel.
The Punching Glove flew,Into a Large Bucket,Which dropped,Onto It's Side,as a Watermelon came Rolling Out of It.
The Watermelon rolled Down,Small Wooden Platforms,Down towards the Floor.
But,It didn't hit the Floor,It hit a Homemade See-Saw,Launching a Large Alarm Clock,Into the Air,Raising a Lever.
As the Lever lifted,A Small Ball was thrown Off of It,Into a Small Metal Stick,Which,Then,Hit a Wooden Plank,Repeatedly,Making a Loud Siren begin to Sound.
Siren Wailed,Over and Over as the Mound of Terrorwood was Lifted,Thanks to Two Large Wooden Legs,Lifting the Terrorwood,Over the Creature's Head.
And,Falling,Directly,Onto the Creature,as It ducked,In Surprise,Thinking It was going to hurt It.
The Thing saw It,Go On Him as It tried to get Out,By Sticking It's Head,Through the Small Two Bars,To the Outside.
Successfully,Catching the Monster.
The Gang,All walked Out of Their Hiding Places,And,Over to the Trapped Monster.
"Well,Other than the Spangle Tension Wire being a Little Slow,I'd say,That was One Perfect Trap," Fred announced as Him and Daphne walked,Over to the Terrorwood,Together,Side by Side,Before,Turning to look at Her,While,Still Talking.
Daphne Smiled at Him,as She continued to listen to Him Talk,Enjoying It,A Little Too Much.
"Now,Let's See,Who's Really,Behind All This Terrorwood Smoke," Velma stated as She got,In Between Fred and Daphne,And,Approached the Trapped Monster.
When Velma was Close Enough,She grasped the Metal Mask with Her Hands,as She,Quickly Pulled It Off.
Revealing It to be...
"Dan Fluunk," They All called Out,In Surprise.
Dan had a Sad Face On,When Velma pulled Off the Mask as the Gang,All looked at Him,In Surprise.
"But,That doesn't make Any Sense," Daphne voiced.
"You seemed like the Nicest Guy," Shaggy pointed Out.
"Why? Dan,Why?" Scooby questioned,Really Wanting to Know Why,as He put his Paw Up,Giving Him Permission to Explain.
"I'm with Scoob,Why'd You do This,Dan?" Louis added,Repeating the Question.
"It's This Place,I can't take It,I've been Here,Since I was Born," Dan Fluunk confessed.
"Care to Elaborate," Velma requested.
Dan Sighed,Disappointedly,as He decided to Explain.
"My Family has been Caretakers of the Burlington Mansion,And,Then,The Burlington Library for Generations,I was born,Here,Been Here,Everyday of My Life,All Alone,Up Here,In This Mountain,Tending to This Darn Library,But,It Always seemed to be Snowing,And,I could never get Warm,Never,I hate the Cold,I hate the Snow,But,The Library could never be Closed,I never got a Vacation,Not One,I found Out about the Terrorwood,One Day,When I accidentally burned Some,So,I decided to Use It to Scare Away Anyone and Everyone,That,Came Here,So,Eventually,No One would come,Anymore,And,I could close the Place,Forever,And,Go Someplace Warm," Dan eludicated.
"Like,Wow,That is Sad," Shaggy whispered,Kind of,Feeling Bad for Him.
"And,I would have Done It,Too,Been Somewhere Warm,By Now,If It wasn't for You Meddling Snow-Bound Brats," Dan complained.
As He talked about Them,The Gang,All began to Smile at Each Other,Proud of,What They had Done.
"Hold It," Louis demanded.
"What is It,Louis?" Scooby asked.
"So,Let Me get This Straight,You messed with Us,A Bunch of Random Kids,Who You didn't Know,Kids,Who Were,Just looking for a Place to Stay,You played with Us,Toyed with Us,With Our Feelings,With Our Minds,All,Because,You were Tired of Living,Somewhere!!!" Louis lashed Out,Angrily,as He grabbed Dan Fluunk,By his Collar.
"Louis,What are You doing?" Velma wondered.
"Yeah,This isn't Part of the Wrap-Up," Daphne informed.
"You hurt Us,All,Because,Of Something,So Little,And,You didn't,Even Once,Think about,What You were doing," Louis said,Starting to raise his Voice.
"Well,No,Of Course,I didn't,I wanted to get Out of Here," Dan replied.
"That's,No Excuse,You Sick Monster,How could You Mess with Us? I should hurt You,Right Now!!!" Louis shouted,as He raised his Fist,About to hurt Him.
"Whoa,Louis,Don't do It," Fred pleaded.
"That's not going to make It,Better," Velma warned
"HE DESERVES THIS HE MESSED WITH US,AND,FOR WHAT? CAUSE,HE WANTED TO LEAVE!!!!" Louis yelled,Furiously,as He raised his Fist,Again,To Punch Him.
Louis was,About to Punch Him,In the Face,Until,Scooby stepped In,And,Stopped Him.
He grabbed Louis's Fist,Gently,as He held It,In his Paw,Stopping Him,From Hurting Him.
Louis turned Around,To See,Scooby,There,Stopping Them.
Scooby shook his Head,Silently,Telling Him,That,It wasn't the Right Thing to do.
Louis panted,Heavily,In Huffs,Struggling to calm Himself Down.
Scooby put his Paw,On Louis's Other Fist, as He Lowered It Down,From Dan's Collar.
Scooby,Seeing,How Mad,Louis was,Put his Arms,Around Him,And,Pulled Him into a Hug.
The Minute,Scooby hugged Him,Louis froze,For a Second,Getting Surprised about It,Before,Louis's Rage started to Fade,His Panting started to Slow,And,His Fists stopped Clenching.
Louis,Slowly,Closed his Eyes as He hugged Him,Back,And,Continued to Calm Himself.
Louis's Breath,Completely,Slowed Down,Back to Normal,as He,Finally Calmed Down.
"Sorry," Louis apologized,Softly,as He,Still,Hugged Scooby,With his Eyes Closed.
"Hey,It's Okay,You,Just got Angry,Angry's Normal,We All get Angry," Scooby comforted.
"Like,Yeah,Don't Worry about It," Shaggy commented,as He Shrugged.
"We Completely Understand," Velma stated.
"It is Something to get Angry About,Just not,That Angry," Daphne notified.
"No Worries,Louis,We've All been There," Fred reassured.
"Now,What do You say,We get Him to Prison?" Velma suggested.
Louis nodded,Silently,In Agreement as He let Go of Scooby,And,Scooby let Go of Him.
Two Police Officers pushed the Doors to the Library Open,as They walked an Arrested Dan Fluunk,To A Police Car,Parked Up Front,Ready to take Him Away.
"I don't Mind going to Prison,Not One Bit,At Least,I'll,Finally be Someplace Warm," Dan added,as the Two Officers walked Him,Down the Stairs,To the Car.
All of a Sudden.
Dan started Bursting Out,Into Laughter,Laughing Maniacally,In Relief,Way Too Happy,To Go to Prison.
The Officers stopped Walking Him,Hearing Him Laugh,as They looked at Each Other,With Weirded Out Looks.
Meanwhile.
At the Top of the Stairwell.
Dean Fenk,Don Fong and Mystery Incorporated,All stood Outside,Watching Dan Fluunk get Taken Away.
"You Know,Don Fong was,Only,Trying to Warn You," Dean Fenk brought Up.
Don Fong Muttered,Indistinctly,Agreeing with Her Statement.
"Throwing Meat is a Sign of Warning,In his Unspecified Culture,Luckily,I'm fluent in,All Unspecified Languages," Dean Fenk warned,as She explained to Them,How She Understood.
While,Dean Fenk was Talking,The Gang All looked at Each Other,For a Second,Before,Turning Back to the Two,And,Smiling.
"And,I Understood,And,Then,We fell in Love," Dean Fenk announced,Announcing Their Love,as She Smiled at Him.
Don Fong,In Response,Indistinctly,Muttered,Out Loud,Muttering Happily,as He Smiled,When He finished Saying It.
"And,I love You,Too,Honey," Dean Fenk admitted,as He grabbed Him,By his Shoulders,And,Pulled Him,Into a Kiss on the Lips.
The Two Chuckled and Groaned,Happily,While Kissing,as They held Each Other,And,Backed Up into the Wall,To Continue.
The Gang,All watched Them Kiss,as They looked at It,With Disturbed Looks,On Their Faces.
Velma,Wanting to End the Nastiness,Decided to Say Something,So,They could Stop.
Besides,This was a Question,That,She needed to Know.
"Dean Fenk,What's going to Happen to the Library?" Velma mentioned,Plainly,as She continued to watch Them Smooch.
Dean Fenk,Stopped Kissing Him,For a Minute,To Answer the Question.
"Nothing,I'm not going to Change a Thing,I love This Library,As Is," Dean Fenk replied,as She,Accidentally,Dropped Don Fong,Onto the Ground,Unknowingly.
"Well,That's Good to Hear," Louis said,Contentedly.
"Yep,It's my Great Honor to preserve It,For Posterity,Under the Protection of Darrow University," Dean Fenk explained.
"Hey,Guys,We should,Probably get Going," Daphne requested,Politely,Kind of,Wanting to Leave,And,Never Return.
"Yeah,I wanna get Out of Here," Scooby commented,Also,Wanting to leave the Library.
"Agreed," Louis agreed,Wanting to leave the Place,As Badly,As the Other Two.
Suddenly.
A Book flew Out,One of the Upstairs Library Windows,To the Outside.
The Gang,Dean Fenk and Don Fong,Hearing the Glass Break,All covered Their Heads,To Protect Themselves from the Glass.
The Book fell,Out the Window,Onto the Snowy Ground,In Front of Them.
The Book had,Some Weird Symbols,On It,That,The Gang couldn't,Quite Figure Out,as the Book,Just laid There,In Front of Them.
Daphne knelt Down,Onto the Ground,as She picked Up the Book,In Her Hands,And,Took a Look at It.
Louis,Velma,Scooby,Shaggy and Fred,All walked Over to Daphne's Side,To take a Peek at It.
"That's Odd,There's No One left Inside,That,Could have Done That," Velma pointed Out,as She stood by Fred,Looking at the Book,With Curiosity.
"Do You recognize It,Dean Fenk?" Daphne asked,Really Hoping,That,She knew It,as She showed the Cover of the Book to Her.
"Yes,I do,It's an Ancient Tome on Alchemy by Bartemeo Magnus,Alchemic Magister to Holy Roman Emperor,King Charles the 5th," Dean Fenk eludicated,as She took the Book,From Daphne,And,Scanned through a Page,Or Two,Before,Closing It Back Up,And,Staring at the Cover.
"Wait a Second,Bartemeo Magnus created the Planispheric Disc," Velma informed,as She took the Book,From Dean Fenk,And,Opened It to a Specific Page.
"The Planispheric Disc," Scooby,Louis,Shaggy,Daphne and Fred repeated,At the Same Time,In Surprise.
Velma held the Book Up to the Air,Happily.
"This could help Us,Solve Our Crazy Mystery,Back Home," Louis reminded.
"Definitely,And,If I'm not Mistaken,This Book is a 500 Year Old User's Manual," Velma notified as She opened It,And,Read a Specific Page.
Daphne and Fred and Shaggy,Scooby and Louis Gasped,In Unison,In Shock.
"Just like the Cheese," Louis realized as His Eyes Widened,Quickly,Putting It Together.
"Louis is Right, the Cheese was 500 Years Old,Looks like,We're,One Step Closer to Solving This," Scooby stated,as He Smiled,Confidently,When He Said,That,They were One Step Closer to Solving It.
Daphne and Fred and Shaggy and Velma,All nodded,In Agreement,Ready to Finally Solve This Mystery,That,They had started,Awhile Ago.
At the Same Time.
Back at Velma's House.
In Crystal Cove,It was Pretty Windy,Especially,Around Velma's House.
In Velma's Room.
One of the Windows was Wide Open as Some Wind and Leaves,Blew,Into Her Room.
Someone stood,In the Middle of Her Room,Standing,In Front of Her Mystery Board.
It was Cassidy.
She had broken,Into her House,And,Had put Three Pictures,On the Wall.
Cassidy knelt Down as She grabbed Another One,And,Set It Down,On the Mystery Board,Next to the Others.
Revealing the Four Pictures to be...Pictures of the Darrow Family.
She had pinned the Darrow Family,To Her Mystery Board as She looked at It,Trying to make Sure,It was,Just Right.
"The Darrow Family, aka The Mystery Fellowship,It's All Happened Before,Velma,Now,What You gotta do is Figure Out,Why,And,Hopefully,Having an Extra Member with You,Will Help You Kids put a Stop to This,Once and For All," Cassidy whispered to Herself,Hoping Velma was going to get her Clue,as She walked Over to the Window,And,Jumped Out,So,No One would See Her,In Her Room.
They had to stop It,They,Just had to,Cassidy thought to Herself.
They had Extra Help,Extra Help,That,They could Trust,Unlike Her and Her Team,Their Helper turned Out to be a Traitor.
All She could Hope was,That,Scooby,Louis,Velma,Shaggy,Fred and Daphne would Come Through,With This.
Otherwise,The World was going to be in a Heap of Trouble,Especially Crystal Cove.
