"Save Jeff! Please save Jeff," Harry called out as he ran to Elektra. She moved slowly and got Jeff back. Unfortunately, the snake lunged and managed to bite her.
"Arh!"
"Did the snake bite you?"
"It did, but I'm ok. Come on," Elektra said and she took Harry and Jeff with her.
"Tracy!" Harry called as he saw them.
"Harry! Elektra just saved me and Jeff from a snake," Jeff said and Tracy gave Elektra a smile as Toby became concerned.
"You're pale Elektra."
"You are looking a little peaky, are you ok?"
"I'm fine."
"Did the snake bite you?"
"No. It didn't."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Ok," Tracy said and she put Harry down. "Come on, let's join the others," She started walking away and Elektra grimaced as she walked behind them. Dizziness was setting in.
Back at the camp, Carmen told her story and Elektra relived it. It was one thing to be part of a gang, steal and coerce others into doing bad things. But putting people in real danger... in that Elektra was still very much scared.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Carmen asked her.
"I didn't want any of that stuff to happen."
"You still caused it!"
"Well you wanted to win too. And Toby."
"That's no excuse Elektra."
"You put us into two teams, what did you expect!" Elektra said before she left. She got all the way to the tent before she stopped, feeling very sick and dizzy. She swayed and caught herself. Then the world went white, then black, and she could hear voices around her.
"That's a snake bite..."
"... to die?"
"There!"
"It's that serious?"
"I want her to be alright."
Elektra returned on crutches to the dumping ground the next day. Harry hugged her and Carmen let what happened pass.
