The next morning, Raven woke up to find her father reading the newspaper. She walked over to him and raised her flippers. He put down the paper and picked her up.
I'm sorry, Papa, for disobeying you yesterday; I won't do it again," Raven said, cuddling up to him, and he rubbed her back.
"I know, sweetie, but you have to listen to me," Skipper said as she nodded her head and smiled.
Raven went to her uncle Rico, who was looking at her uncle Kowalski as he fixed the TV. Raven watched with curious green eyes, and the next thing she heard was the alarm going off.
Skipper said, "Kowalzi, check above!" Kowalski looked up at the sky.
It's the King Julian Skipper. He's about to send Mort on a rocket," Kowalski said as Skipper sighed and glared at Julian.
Skipper sighed very annoyed that Julien would do this but Mort was annoying to all of them even Private got annoyed with the little lemar.
Alright men, let's go," Skipper said as Private looked at Raven and she looked at him.
Who's going to watch Raven?" Private asked as Skipper groaned and he thought.
Skipper needed his men with him but he couldn't leave Raven alone then it finally cane to him.
" Come Raven your going to Marlene's." Skipper said as Raven followed him and they arrived at her habitat
" Wait you want me to babysit your daughter?" Marlene said as Skipper raised an eyebrow and she looked at him
Skipper and Marlene stared at each other, Raven looked at the two. Of course Skipper comes into her home without so much of a "hi" or a "How are you". No Marlene doesn't get that she gets to babysit.
" Yes and thank you behave Raven, let's go men." Skipper said leaving with his friends and Raven looked at Marlene
Raven asked, "Marlene, why does Papa treat me like I'm a baby?" As she said this, Marlene sighed and looked at the little penguin.
Marlene didn't know why Skipper treated his daughter this way; perhaps it was due to his overprotectiveness towards her.
"Because you're his little girl," Marlene said as Raven sighed and looked up at the sky.
I want to be like him, but he won't give me the chance," Raven said as Marlene felt bad for her and placed her paw on Raven's shoulder.
Marlene was torn between comforting the small penguin and slapping Skipper upside the head. Marlene smiled softy at Raven.
I'm sorry, Raven, but maybe one day your papa will see you as a grown girl," Marlene said as Raven smiled and lay down.
After a while, Skipper returned to find Raven being chased by Marlene. Raven was laughing hysterically. Skipper smiled and looked at his daughter in admiration.
Raven said, "Papa, I missed you!" as she ran to him and hugged him.
I know, thank you, Marlene," Skipper said as he picked up Raven. "Raven, say goodbye to Marlene." Skipper says picking her uo and carrying her out of Marlene's habitat after Raven waved to Marlene
When they got back to base, Raven looked at her father and smiled.
"Papa, why don't you marry Marlene?" Raven asked innocently as he spat out his fish coffee
Excuse me, but what on earth has she put into your head? You're never going there again! I'll hire a private babysitter before I let you go back there again!" Skipper exclaimed as Raven looked down and refused to look up at her.
Skipper didn't like the fact that Marlene was putting ideas into his little girl's head; he swore that she would never, ever see her again.
"Marlene didn't put this in my head, I was just asking Papa." Raven said as Skipper sighed and rubbed his head.
"Don't ask me again, do you understand?" The skipper said sternly, and she nodded with tears in her green eyes.
Skipper didn't want another heart break he couldn't handle another one not after Rose died. Raven was the only thing left of his beloved Rose.
" Yes Papa." Raven sniffed and then it was Dinner time
After Dinner, Skipper tucked her in bed and kissed her head. He went to bed and Raven went to bed wondering why her papa got upset for asking a innocence question.
