From Episode 5 Season 1

Justin sits not at his desk but in a comfy chair nearby. In a twin chair sits a heavily pregnant woman with light brown hair and green eyes. She was definitely a Nova something in the way she radiated health and vigor seemed beyond human.

"Hi everyone! Boy seeing that elephant give birth sure was something! Keeping with today's theme of reproduction we have the expert on Nova reproductive health. Give a big welcome to one of the Titians' best allies Gaia."

"I prefer to go by Doctor Dern when I'm acting within my profession. While I did get pulled into helping the Titans a few times I don't consider that sort of thing as more than a dalliance. However, a nice young man such as yourself can call me Beth."

"oh well thank you, Beth. Should I call Menoetius Aram then?"

"I don't think he will have a strong opinion one way or the other. I doubt he's going to pop in. He only came with me to talk to your Dad. Aram is hoping to talk him into selling some of his special strength training gear."

"Oh yeah with Dad being retired Mom's been on him about cleaning out the garage.

"So on to reproduction. Nova's have an interesting relationship with this subject."

"Indeed we do. It was at first speculated that Novas had severely decreased fertility. The cellular damage that occurs from flux build-up is particularly damaging to the gametes."

Looking at the camera, Danger reiterates. "As you might recall from earlier, those are the special cells that come from each parent and merge when a baby is made."

"Very true and with less or no gametes less or no babies. However, that initial speculation was proved false. The dynamic adaptation of Nova biology was more than up to the challenge. As Novas build their hardiness and endurance our immune system starts to destroy the damaged cells. Our cellular replenishment then goes into high gear to replace them with fresh healthy cells."

"So enough work and Novas have a built-in cure for those reproductive ills."

"Indeed it does require the forethought to train in those fields. Something you are never too young to be mindful of," she says with a smile as she reaches out and strokes the side of Justin's hair.

"umm yeah well Mataeo already reminded me of that in regards to longevity."

"Well, Matao, Aram Ceasus Pax, and a few others are either at or close to the point of biological immortality. Normally that would be concerning.

"A being of a far older generation continuing to breed would be regressing the gene pool and slowing new adaptation. However, as mentioned before our genes are dynamic. So our constant slow revisions keep us apace."

"Speaking of regressive ideas, what are your thoughts on those who think Novas will come to replace humanity?"

"Absolute nonsense. We are humans even when one draws divisions between early hominids we didn't truly replace anyone. The presence of latent genes proves we merged and joined together. Some constituent parts might be more noticeable but if you were to take those sequences away we would not be the people we are today."

"Good point. It's also not like Novas don't have non-Nova children either."

"Like your brother Jon, yes. Your family is very interesting. Both branches have a wealth of colorful characters. The Darlings had Mesmerists and Daredevils. As well your family produced amazing achievers like Bocephus. Not even to mention your mother erupting as a Nova.

"Your father's line has numerous Stalwarts. This includes some of the last of their kind before the dwindling.

"Genetically speaking you are an intriguing young man. You're going to make someone a very lucky lady someday" she nearly purred

Justin looked mildly alarmed then relieved "Oh look Mom made some brownies. Just in time I sure am hungry. We'll get a snack during this commercial break."

Fade to black.
