Days Later
Brooke felt hopeful and excited about the future her and Lucas were building.
Their first date was perfect he even surprised her with a necklace and a bracelet.
It was too much she insisted but he wouldn't have that.
He made it clear he wanted his girlfriend to have it all. These were simply tokens of his affection for her.
Brooke refused to let Karen ruin what her and Lucas had it was early days but it was headed somewhere. She trusted him fully.

Later on that day
(Karen you kept all these pictures.) Faith said.
Karen smiled warmly. (The two of you were just perfect together.) She replied.
(We were very cute.) Faith said.
(I can't believe you Hales. Ending up with Nathan Scott of all people.)
(I didn't expect that.) Faith added in.
(People grow evolve. Love changes you.) Haley replied.
(Hopefully I didn't run out of time on meeting the right guy.) Faith said.
(You came back to town at the right time. I've been wanting and encouraging Lucas to settle down. For his sake but especially for the kids.) Karen replied.
(He's shown me pictures. Beautiful.I'm sure he's an amazing dad.) Faith said.
(I need another dessert. Will you show me where you put the Karen.?) Haley asked.

(I hated moving away. I know it was for my mom's job but it ruined what we could of had.)
(And honestly I've never forgotten about you.) Faith said.
(I haven't forgotten you either. You remind me of a simpler time when adult life was nothing but a fantasy. I'm glad we're able to reconnect.) Lucas said.
(We had first memories with each other that. I've never forgotten about.)
(Maybe the timing is finally right for us Luke.) Faith said.

(What the hell is this dinner really about?) Haley questioned.
Karen looked to her. (Wanting Lucas and Faith to reconnect.)
(They were special to each other. That doesn't just go away.)
(If they didn't want to see each other again. They wouldn't of come here tonight.) Karen explained.
Haley glared at her. (Lucas is dating Brooke. You know that. I can only imagine what you told Faith. This is wrong. This is Lucas 's choice. His heart to follow.)
(You would rather do all this then let him be happy with Brooke?) Haley asked.
(She's his last resort. But Faith opening his eyes will guarantee that I get my family and I don't have a lose anyone. I've always loved Faith.) Karen replied.
