I take full personal responsibility for covering up these historic crimes. I was in sole charge of Parks and Cruises when these incidents came to light.
I had a misguided sense of loyalty to people like Lester McClintock, who was a family friend. I also thought I was protecting my father. He knew nothing of these events.
No other member of my family was aware of these crimes or the cover-up. I acted alone.
I want to apologize personally to all the women affected by those men's actions. I accept any punishment that the law sees fit to hand down, and I am stepping down from my position at Waystar, effective immediately.
Waystar Royco is a great international company, with strong moral principles. The actions of a few bad apples, and my foolishness in covering them up, should not be allowed to taint the reputation of the business, or of my father, who built the company from the ground up. I want to apologize to my father as well for bringing his name into disrepute.
I will not be taking questions at this time but will make myself available to the police for questioning at the earliest opportunity. Thank you.
