Sailor Moon was originally created by Naoko Takeuchi, while Golden Hawk was created by me, although his secret identity was created by Jerry and Sharon Logue. This series takes place in a real place, Orange County, California, during the 1980s. While I strive to make this series as accurate as possible, I have made some changes for artistic purposes.
Meet Serena Campbell, a typical all-American girl. Blonde hair, blue eyes, a little on the short side. She's very pretty, even though she sometimes thinks her nose is a little small for her face, and she sometimes wishes she was a couple inches taller. She has family and friends, people who love her, and people she loves. She sort of somewhat had a boyfriend, well, he's a boy, and he's her friend. And now, he's her boyfriend for real. And now, it's a week into a new school year. For Serena, Jerry, Rae, Lissa, and Mina, it's junior year, and for Amy, it's sophomore year.
CHAPTER 12: FINAL BATTLE
EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL, PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA
SEPTEMBER 12, 1986
2:55 PM
Jerry Logue was happy he didn't have homework over the weekend. He also didn't have work, as Cavern Records, the record store where he and his girlfriend worked, was closed for the weekend, due to their boss having to go out of town for a funeral in Bakersfield. As the bell rang to end the school day, Alicia Pickford, one of the JV cheerleaders, along with Amy Anderson, came up to Jerry, as he grabbed his backpack. "This is Jerry," Alicia said. "If you ask nicely, I think he might give you a ride home."
"Hey Amy," Jerry said. "Hi Alicia."
"How do you know Amy?" Alicia asked.
"His mom went to high school with my mom," Amy said.
A few minutes later, Jerry and Amy were in the Flying Dutchman. "Good thing our moms went to high school together," Jerry said. "I'm afraid I would have to make up some story about how you and I became friends."
"I'm sure you could have thought of something," Amy said.
"Anyways," Jerry said, "I hope you don't mind, I have to stop by my bank, to cash my paycheck."
"I don't mind," Amy said.
"You hungry?" Jerry asked, after he cashed his check. "I kind of missed lunch today.
"How did you miss lunch?" Amy asked.
"I was in a hurry this morning, and forgot my lunch," Jerry said. "Unfortunately, I didn't have anything on me to go buy lunch, and I didn't really feel like grabbing a peanut butter sandwich in the office. Fortunately, Rae took pity on me and bought me a Milky Way, but right now, I need to run to McDonald's and grab something quick."
"In that case," Amy said, "I'll have a hot fudge sundae, no nuts, and an orange drink."
"Filet o'Fish, extra tartar sauce," Jerry said to the woman working behind the counter. "Small fries, apple pie, hot fudge sundae with no nuts, and two medium orange drinks."
"Now that you mention it," Amy said, "an apple pie does sound good."
"Make that two apple pies," Jerry said.
After paying and getting their order, Jerry and Amy sat at a booth in the corner. "Anyways, I know you're taking a few detours, but thanks for giving me a ride home."
"Not a problem," Jerry said. "What are friends for?"
As soon as Jerry and Amy finished eating, they got back into his car, and drove towards home. Just as Jerry pulls up in front of Amy's house, his communicator went off. "Wouldn't you know it?" Amy said. "Just as I'm getting home."
"This is Big Bird here," Jerry said, into his communicator.
"Popoki Ke'oke'o here," Artemis said. "Draevyn and Morrigan have been spotted at Craig Park."
"I have Madeline here," Jerry said. "Get the rest of the team, and have them meet us there."
"Looks like it's time to get into character," Amy said, getting out her transformation pen.
"It appears so," Jerry said, grabbing some smoke pellets, and tossing them to the ground at his feet.
"Pretty Mercury Soldier, Make-Up!"
After transforming, Golden Hawk and Sailor Mercury teleported to Craig Park, where the rest of the team arrived almost immediately after they did. When they arrived, they encountered Draevyn and Morrigan, Draevyn wearing an eyepatch over his left eye, which had a scar over it. "Since you managed to mar this beautiful face," Draevyn said to Golden Hawk, producing a laser sword and activating the red blade, "you have the privilege of setting the terms of this battle."
"Okay," Golden Hawk said, transforming his staff into a laser sword of his own, and activating the green blade. "Here are my terms. No quarter asked, no quarter given, whoever dies first, loses."
"I accept," Draevyn said.
"Prepare to die," Golden Hawk said, as the two of them crossed swords.
"Likewise," Draevyn said. He attacked first, an attack which Golden Hawk easily parried. When Golden Hawk attacked, Draevyn likewise easily parried. Their battle went on the same, taking turns attacking and parrying.
Meanwhile, while Draevyn and Golden Hawk fought, Morrigan conjured up demons, who the Sailor Soldiers fought off. "Mercury Hailstorm Barrage!" Sailor Mercury said, directing a barrage of hailstones, which took out several demons.
Sailor Venus made a fist with her right hand, with index finger extended. She kissed the tip of her finger. "Venus Crescent Beam, Kiss!" she said, firing crescent shaped beams of energy at several demons, destroying them.
"Mars Flame Sniper!" Sailor Mars said, creating a flaming bow, and firing arrows of flame at the demons, destroying several of them.
"Jupiter Thunder Crash!" Sailor Jupiter said, tossing a ball of lightning, which took out several demons at once.
Meanwhile, Golden Hawk and Draevyn continued their fight, as the Sailor Soldiers fought the demons. After nearly an hour of intense fighting, Golden Hawk feinted an attack, which Draevyn attempted to parry. Golden Hawk used this to his advantage, managing to penetrate Draevyn's defenses. A nick here, a cut there. None of his attacks were meant to be fatal, at least not on their own. Golden Hawk meant them to wound his opponent, to weaken him, cause him to make a fatal error. After enough small wounds, Draevyn was weakened enough to drop his defenses enough for Golden Hawk to move in for the kill. I may only have one shot at this, Golden Hawk thought to himself. Better make it count. With one mighty swing of his laser sword, Golden Hawk managed to decapitate Draevyn. As Draevyn fell forward, dead, his head flew off his body, landing several feet away. "See you in Hell," Golden Hawk said, as he drove his laser sword through the eyes of Draevyn's severed head. As Golden Hawk deactivated his laser sword, Draevyn's body and head transformed to dust, and blew away in the wind. "One down," Golden Hawk said, transforming his laser sword into a pair of blasters. "Now time for me to help escort this bitch to the gates of Hell!"
"You wouldn't hit a lady, would you?" Morriagn asked.
"No, I'm not going to hit you" Golden Hawk said, firing several shots at Morrigan.
"Wait a second," Morrigan said. "I thought you said you wouldn't hit a lady."
"I said I wouldn't hit you," Golden Hawk said, emphasizing "hit". "I didn't say I wouldn't shoot you."
"If it makes you feel any better," Sailor Moon said, "you can complain all you want to Satan once we send you to Hell."
"How do you suppose we're going to do that?" Sailor Mercury asked. "I have a feeling she's strong enough to withstand your tiara attack."
"I have an idea," Golden Hawk said. "But it's going to take all of us."
"I think I know what you're getting at," Sailor Mars said. "You're going to suggest we all combine our powers."
"And that includes me as well," Golden Hawk said.
"It's worth a shot," Sailor Moon said, removing her tiara. "Moon Tiara, Boomerang!"
"Mars Fireball Attack!"
"Mercury Bubble Blast!"
"Jupiter Thunderbolt Clash!"
"Venus Crescent Beam Kiss!"
As the Sailor Soldiers attacks combined with Sailor Moon's tiara attack, Golden Hawk fired a blast of energy from his hands, which combined with their attacks. As their combined attacks sped toward their target, he fired several shots from his blasters at Morrigan.
"Noooooo!" Morrigan said, as the combined attack hit true, destroying her.
"We won this battle," Golden Hawk said, "but I have a feeling the war is nowhere near over."
