The distance between the G5 marine base and Punk Hazard was something that could generally be crossed in a few hours by marine battle ship.

Kaden could move much faster than the standard ship when traversing through the air with Geppou.

There were two problems that came with it though that could not be understated.

One, was the simple fact that kicking off the very air itself hard enough to more or less create shock waves of pure force to act as stepping stones across the air was exhausting and actually quite painful after a while.

The second problem was the other simple fact that the New Worlds weather was utterly monstrous. One moment it could be storming with gale force winds and crackling lightning bolts, the next massive cyclones would tear up from the depths of the ocean, only to then be replaced a few minutes later by the sky hailing.

Hailing literal massive glaciers that would make the one that destroyed the titanic weep in envy.

And that wasn't going into the wild life.

Like the utter leviathans that were the Sea Kings that do so loved to just pop up every now and then and take a gander to see if anything worth munching on was passing by.

It made the trip to Punk Hazard, utter hell.

The first half at least.

Because Punk Hazard could not be locked by an Eternal Pose, therefor it was all but impossible for him to get there straight from the G5 marine base.

The Eternal Pose he'd taken to get there, instead directed him straight to Risky Red Island, a marine controlled island that had an extra port built specifically facing straight towards Punk Hazard.

Risky Red Island was an important place for marines to control. It was one of three islands that all newcomers to the New World side of the Grand Line would end up at after surfacing from the Fishman Island.

And out of the three, Risky Red Island was the only one under marine control. The other two were not under marine control at all. They were named Mystoria Island and Raijin Island.

Kaden didn't know anything about Mystoria island himself, but he did know why Raijin island wasn't under marine control. Or anyone's control for that matter.

It was because of the islands unique weather patterns.

Specifically, Raijin island was named that for a reason. Because every moment of every day, the island was struck by thousands of massive bolts of lightning.

It was an island nobody in their right mind would go to, and only the strongest could survive there without special equipment.

'It might not be a bad training spot.' Kaden mused as he walked through the streets of Risky Red Island.

His legs were killing him, and his clothes were still damp from a storm he had to run through in the last leg towards the island, but he'd made it.

He noticed something pretty odd though about the island almost immediately. It wasn't a very big island, but from what little he knew it was an island that usually saw a lot of trade.

There were tons of stalls set up throughout the main streets of the small town atop the island.

But hardly anyone was manning their stalls and their was an almost oppressive weight amongst the people he passed by, shadows on their faces and as a whole full of grim looks.

'Jeez who fucking died?' Kaden grimaced. The place was seriously depressing, and the quicker he moved on the better. Right now, he was just making his way towards the far end of the island where the marine tower on the island was stationed and behind it a small port.

The port facing directly towards Punk Hazard.

He continued on his way towards his destination, and before long found himself approaching a large walled off area, a massive gate constructed in the middle of it and behind it a huge tower rising up into the sky.

"Let me in! I want to see my mother!" a young girl with long brown hair, dressed in a pair of overalls was banging on the gates and calling through the bars of it for some reason.

"She's busy brat!" a gruff male voice bit out from the other side of the gate and as he approached it, Kaden noticed it was a very large man easily over seven feet tall with rippling muscle, tan skin, thin hair and a thin black moustache, "She's entertaining the Vice Admiral right now, she'll be let out when he gets bored of her like the rest, now clear off before I smack you one!"

The little girl flinched back at the mans threatening tone and tears budded in her eyes, "B-b-but-"

"BEAT IT I SAID!" the man smashed his fist against the gate, creating an audible gong said that had the little girl shrieking in fright.

And of course the man was wearing a marine uniform. 'Because why not right?' Kaden rolled his eyes.

Still, what the man said about the little girls mother set alarm bells ringing off in his head. Entertaining the Vice Admiral? Let out when he was bored of her like the rest? And then this huge bastard trying to intimidate a little girl just crying for her mother?

'…Who even is the Vice Admiral stationed here?' Kaden thought, stopping and just staring at the debacle.

His fists were clenched without him even noticing it, and the urge was there to call this bastard out.

But, he couldn't.

He couldn't take on a Vice Admiral, not yet. Doing so, was suicide. He had no choice but to keep his mouth shut.
If he wanted to do something about it, it was smarter just to continue on his way and come back later when he had the strength to actually do something.

So he should keep quiet and not do a damn thing, because that was the smart move. The only move really.

…So why were his legs carrying him forward?

"What's the problem here?" Kaden's mouth moved before his brain as he approached the gate.

The eyes of the massive marine behind the gate and the little girl roved over to him, "None of your business, brat," the marine behind the gate spat, "This little annoyance is interfering with official marine business. You should leave before you get caught up in those as well."

There was a definite threat in the mans voice.

Kaden resisted the urge to let his temper get the better of him and kick the gate off its hinges and crush him beneath it.

"That's funny, because I was under the impression that marine business was my business," Kaden said, raising an eyebrow at the man as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his ID card, his shiny new ID card that queer ass annoyance dropped on him after his promotion went through and showed off not only his identity, but his current rank, "What with me being a marine commander and all that."

It had only been like two hours max since he left the G5 marine base behind, it would be a while before they clocked on to him being missing and all that, so he could afford to flex his rank for a little bit before any rights it gave him were yoinked with the wanted poster he was going to get.

The little girl gasped, while the huge man behind the gate had his eyes widen in shock, "A little brat like you….is higher ranked than me!?" he sputtered.

As of today, yes.

He didn't need to know that.

Besides, his tone freaking pissed Kaden off, "The fuck did you just call me?" Kaden bit out, his temper getting the better of him. Usually he'd be better at holding it, especially in a situation like this, but after what he'd just saw, and now this? It was a bit…hard.

"Ah…eh….!?" The marine behind behind the gate stalled as he realised what he just said, "Apologies Commander! I was just shocked one so young looking is such a high rank! I didn't mean anything by it!" he hurriedly apologized, bowing at the waist.

Yet was unable to hide his gritted teeth.

Kaden wanted to break his face in.

He didn't though. Because attacking the marines here would just have the Vice Admiral whoever it was, coming to kick his ass.

"Whatever, just explain what the hell is going on here." Kaden demanded. Hopefully, he could sort all this out without things escalating all that much and he wouldn't fuck himself over trying to help out this little girl.

"It's nothing special sir!" the marine behind the gate hurried to explain, "Vice Admiral Graydle was assigned here just last month after exemplary service for the Celestial Dragons themselves and the people here are just showing off their thanks to him for his great service!"

What a complete and utter load of bullshit.

The second the idiot mentioned serving the Celestial Dragons directly as if it were some kind of big accomplishment, Kaden already understood what was going on.

"Liar!" the little girl shouted, "That disgusting guy is forcing any girl he likes the look of to do whatever he wants and takes whatever he wants from anyone on the island! You marines are pathetic!"

Basically, this Vice Admiral Graydle was acting like a tyrant ruling over the island like a king and had been raping whatever woman caught his eye and this time, it was this little girls mother.

The marine behind the gate shot up with a snarl on his lips, "As is our right for protecting you useless weaklings!" he shouted, "Thanks to the power of Vice Admiral Graydle's metal metal devil fruit you've suffered no pirates managing anything since we got here, unlike the fool that was here before him and got killed off! It's only right you leeches that live under the protection of our glorious flag provide reparations! That is why uurk!?"

The marine who had been in the process of lambasting the little girl, suddenly stopped, his eyes wide with disbelief.

And blood bubbling between his lips.

The gate that was separating the three of them groaned audible as it split apart diagonally.

As did the marine himself, split from shoulder to waist, the top half of his torso sliding to fall to the ground, his organs splashing out atop the earth.

And it was only then Kaden realised, his leg was raised.

He'd fired off a blinding fast kick before he even realised what he was doing and split not just the gate, but the marine himself with a Rankyaku.

The girl shrieked, "You….you killed him!" she uttered, staring with his wide in absolute horror.

Yes…yes he did.

Kaden stared at the corpse blankly. He had memories of brutally murdering and torturing people, but this was the first person he had personally killed himself since he got here.

"You should go home kid, this isn't going to be pretty." he said to the girl blandly as he dropped the sack he was carrying over his shoulder and fished inside it.

A moment later, his hand came out with a book in hand. He'd specifically grabbed this from the library in the G5 base.
A devil fruit encyclopedia.

Generally something that contained the basics capabilities of devil fruits that the marines had encountered and put together profiles on, including the what type of fruit they came from.

And what they would reincarnate into as well.

"What….what are you going to do?" the little girl fearfully asked him as he opened the book and began flipping through it almost robotically.

…Kaden honestly didn't know. His mind was a rush. He was kicking himself right now for his dumb hasty actions, but at the same time, he couldn't dwell on it, what was done, was done.

He didn't know what part of it all set him off. The guys attitude, the fact this Vice Admiral was a proud server of the Celestial Dragons, or just his flat out absolutely disgusting tyrannical actions.

This was why he should have just ignored everything and continued on his way, but no, instinct had carried him to this situation.

God damn his bleeding heart.

"I'm just gonna do my duty as a marine, and uphold justice," Kaden gave the girl a forced, bitter smile, "Now go, I'll do something about your mother."

She bit her lip, before nodding and running off.

His heart was thundering in his chest, and fear threatened to overwhelm him as she disappeared around the corner of a building and out of sight.

He was going to be fighting a fucking Vice Admiral! One with a devil fruit at that!

'One with a logia it seems.' Kaden swallowed as he finally found the page in the book that listed the Metal Metal fruit and quickly began reading through it searching for any known weaknesses.

There was none besides the typical weakness attributed to all devil fruits. Just his luck.

Reading it over….it was apparently a logia devil fruit that allowed the user to turn into and create liquid metal. Liquid metal that could be hardened to beyond the durability of steel and shaped as the user pleased. The user also apparently had a limited telekinetic control over objects they made from their metal. And on top of that, it bestowed upon them the ability to superheat their metal like a forge.

It wasn't exactly the Light Light fruit or the Lightning Lightning fruit, but it was definitely not far behind and was up there as a very high tier fruit. And there was a little note listing it as the superior devil fruit between it and both the Chain Chain fruit and the Smelt Smelt fruit.

"Fuck…" Kaden cursed.

He didn't stand a fucking chance against a guy like that. His haki was way too damn limited to hit him enough. He hadn't had the chance to see about adding the sea stone he'd yoinked onto a weapon at this point either, he'd been waiting to get his hands on better weapons than the ones he had.

'I should run.' he thought, staring at the entry for the devil fruit in the book in his hand. Nobody seemed to have noticed anything yet, beyond the little girl.

He could just launch himself into the air right now and get the fuck away from here with Geppou and continue on and head to Punk Hazard.

The only upside at all to this situation, was that the fruit the metal metal fruit would reincarnate into was known. A bananna apparently.

So if he could pull off the impossible here and kill this guy, he could easily get his hands on a Logia devil fruit.

…He really should just run and leave this situation behind. He could easily get a copy of one of the most powerful fruits in existence, train with it and come back later to deal with this guy.

On top of that he could easily get his hands on another useful zoan in the Axolotl fruit as well. There was literally two amazing devil fruits just up for grabs just like an hours run through the sky away.

He didn't need to do this. The path was laid out for him to overcome his inherited problems and gain the might he needed to have the right to do as he pleased.

He was golden.

His hand reached out for the sack on the ground beside him.

Yet, he did not lift it.

His hand went inside it and wrapped around something jagged and sharp.

"Halt right there!"

"Stop him!"

"The base is under siege we nee-"

The marine base of Risky Red Island was ablaze with action, shouts and violence.

Kaden D. Freeman was the main perpetrator.

After smashing down the entrance to the base, sword in hand, Kaden moved as a blur with Soru.

He cut down three marines before they even realised what was going on. It was only a drop in the bucket. There were over a hundred marines stationed at the island.

Blade flashing out at one man shouting for reinforcements, Kaden's blade was stopped as two more leaped into action, both of them thrusting out their cutlasses to catch his slashing blade on the flats of their own blades and hold him still, while the one he was aiming at brought his hand up, a pistol.

A bang resounded as the gun fired.

And the bullet bounced off of his stomach as he flexed his abs to as hard as they could go with Tekkai.

In the process, the muscles of his entire body went as rigid as iron, and the strength of his slash increased, overpowering the two blocking him.

They were sent flying back as he overpowered them and his blade came down and split the the gun wielding marine down the middle, blood splashing and covering his face in a red haze of liquid.

Kaden knew this was the wrong way to go about things. The smartest course of action would have been to attempt to assassinate the Vice Admiral.

Graydle wasn't the only problem though.

This entire marine base filled with corrupt marines that allowed shit like this to pass were just as bad in his eyes, weaker or not.

'They all have to die.' Kaden thought as he moved in a blur of speed with Soru and stabbed his blade through the throat of one of the marines he just sent flying, before his other hand flashed up, his own pistol in hand and shot a bullet through the others forehead.

Even if he just killed Graydle, that would leave all the others. That wasn't true justice at all.

And if he was going to end up getting a bounty anyway, and he was going to do this. Then he should at least make sure something good came out of it.

And the pleasure of ripping out the throat of a proud lackey of his disgusting kin, sounded actually very good to him.
A troop of marines numbering over a dozen rounded the corner and riffles were aimed his way.

"Fire!" one called.

They were fast.

Kaden was faster.

"Rankyaku!" he snarled, kicking his leg out. A slicing scythe of wind tore through the hall, gouging through the walls with ease and sliced through the group of marines before they could fire, blood and guts dropping with their bisected bodies.

And he continued on, moving in a blur of incredible speed with Soru and cutting down marine after marine that he found on his way to his destination.

The kitchen.

Which he scanned for all of a moment, finding not a soul in sight and grabbing what he wanted.

Then he was on his way again, towards his second destination. The top of the tower, where Vice Admiral Graydle would no doubt be.

…It was weird though.

'You'd think he'd have noticed all this commotion going on and come see what it's about.' Kaden thought, a frown on his face as he kicked off the ground and flipped over a charging marine, unloading a bullet into his head from directly above, killing him and continuing on as he landed on the other side of the now corpse.

But even with the alarm, he saw no hide or hair of the Vice Admiral. That was worrying.

But he couldn't back out now.

He'd already stupidly committed to this action because of his bleeding heart. If nothing else, in a situation like this, he was happy with the asshole who originally owned this bodies memories merging with his own in the process.

It allowed him to kill these pieces of trash working for that bigger piece of trash who proudly worked for his trash kin without hesitating.

It was a slaughter.

There was no contest between the marines he went through and him. The marines stationed here were not weak. but they were weaker on average than the G5 marines.

And after all his training there, he was one of the strongest at that base and that was without taking the Rokushiki into factor.

Kaden might have been fodder with the potential of fodder. But he was still stronger fodder than these people.

Dyed in the blood of tens of dozens of marines, Kaden arrived at his destination not long later.

The door leading to the office of Vice Admiral Graydle.

His observation haki was still pitifully weak, both in sensory ability and range. But he could feel two people behind this door.

One pitifully weak presence, weaker than any of the marines he'd went through in this tower. The other was strong.

Not as strong as Vergo felt, not even close to be honest. Their presence felt about as strong as Commodore Yarisugu.

That might have been a good sign, if he didn't already know this guy had a logia devil fruit that put him above Commodore Yarisugu by default right then and there.

Not to mention all Vice Admirals had to know haki to a degree.

Graydle was a monster.

Maybe not a monster on the level of the biggest monsters in this world. But he was a monster nonetheless.

'God damnit, what the hell am I doing?' he questioned himself for what felt like the hundredth time since he started this.
He could still run now. There was still time.

But he couldn't.

Was he only going to pick fights he knew he could win in the future? How would he ever accomplish anything like that?
No!

Maybe this wasn't smart. Maybe it was based on foolish emotion of wanting to help a young girl and venting his rage over his fate.

But god fucking damnit, he wasn't just some no name loser!

He was Kaden D. Fucking Freeman! His potential was pitifully pathetic and hindered because of that other bastard, but the base was still there.

He had the blood of the rulers of this world running through his veins, one of the families that stood atop this world and the blood of their mortal enemies added on top.

And he had the will of a supreme king!

He wasn't like that other demented bastard that forced him into this situation. He wasn't a loser that had to rely on inborn potential! He had his knowledge! And he wasn't a coward like him that ran away to a completely different world rather than face his past and his family head on!

"I'm the mother fucking Celestial D!" Kaden hissed, hand tightening around the hilt of his blade and the handle of his pistol.

Yes that was right. He wasn't Celestial Dragon nor of the D-Clan. He was an amalgamation of both. Greatness was his to achieve, potential stolen or not!

Lifting his leg, Kaden lashed out with a thunderous stomp and smashed the thick wooden door straight off its hinges.
It slammed into the ground with a ground rattling sound and Kaden stepped inside the office, eyes blazing as he locked gazes with his target.

Graydle was a huge spindly man with tanned skin, a scarred face and slicked back grey hair, and there was an arrogant smirk on his face as he held one huge meaty fist atop the head of a nude voluptuous brunette and forced her head to bounce up and down in his lap.

….The cunt knew he was in the base, he just didn't care.

He was too busy forcing this woman, that little girls mother to suck him off while Kaden was ripping his way through his subordinates.

"So who the hell are y-" Graydle began his voice smarmy and smug, but he never got to finish before Kaden's leg lashed out, a blade of wind generated by the sheer force of his kick and sent hurtling towards the mans upper torso.

It sliced into and through him a split moment later, but no blood appeared as his body glinted with a metallic sheen and the blade of wind went through him, slicing a huge gouge through the wall behind him and passing through.

The woman shrieked, jerking back from the Vice Admiral as he dissolved into pure liquid metal, before reforming again still sitting on the couch.

"What a rude little brat," Graydle narrowed his eyes at Kaden, "Can't you see I was busy enjoying myself?"

"You mean forcing yourself on this woman?" Kaden bit out, snarling in fury, "Not giving a shit while I slaughtered my way through your subordinates?"

"Should I have cared?" Graydle snorted, "About trash like that who can't even stop one stupid brat? They're easily replaced. As for this bitch?" he casually backhanded the woman, a squeal of pain erupting from her as the hit launched her ragdolling across the room where she hit the wall and fell unconscious.

"I am a chosen one chosen by the gods who rule this world," Graydle declared with an arrogant sneer, "They even bestowed upon me my undefeatable power and saw my rise to this position for my services. It is my right to do as I please with my lessers."

Kaden's mouth trembled, his shoulders beginning to shake as fury mounted within him, "You….piece of trash!" he snarled, "You think you're something special because you were recognized by a few of those disgusting bubble headed freaks?"

Graydle's eyes widened, before narrowing into a fury of his own, "You…piece of heathen shit, you dare talk like that of the Celestial Dragons!?" the Vice Admiral roared standing up, "You think you're something special and can talk big because you can use those pathetic Rokushiki techniques? It's about time someone put you in your place boy!"

Kaden's eyes widened as Graydle punched out with his fist, his arm turning a gleaming silver before enlarging and stretching towards him until a huge metal fist over twenty feet high and wide rushed towards him.

There was no room to dodge!

"Tekkai!" Kaden crossed his arms across his chest, tensing his muscles and took the punch straight on.

The sheer force behind the punch lifted him bodily into the air and dragged him through it, smashing him into the thick sturdy concrete wall out in the hall and then through it.

In just a split moment Kaden was back outside and soaring backwards through the air from the punch he took, his body rattled from the impact, and his arms that took the brunt of the impact aching like hell.

"Die boy!" the voice of Graydle made him look up, just in time to see the man had followed him and was now above him, his giant metallic fist now in the shape of a giant blade and being swung down at him.

His cutlass had been shattered and his pistol was in pieces.

Gritting his teeth, Kaden swung himself around and kicked off the air with Geppou, launching himself out of the way and just narrowly evading the massive blade as it swung down and almost cut him in half.

Then he did it again and disappeared in a blur of speed, appearing above the Vice Admiral as his arm began shrinking back to normal.

Face in a frown of pure concentration, Kaden shot towards the man, before his eyes widened as a his senses went into overdrive.

He tilted his head to the side just as a lance of metal erupted from Graydle's shoulder, followed by dozens of more from all over his body.

If he hadn't trained with Geppou so much over the past three months in combat, he would have been dead right then and there-

Instead he kicked off of the air multiple times, weaving through the barrage of deadly lances, before lashing out with his fist, concentrating all his will into it.

And Graydle's eyes widened as his fist smashed into his cheek, and he wasn't able to avoid it with his devil fruit.

"Haki?!" Graydle managed to sputter, before Kaden powered through with his punch and launched him towards the ground with all his strength.

He hit the ground like a meteor, creating a crater in it, but he was only down for a split moment before a pillar of liquid metal rose up from it and formed into Graydle once more, rubbing his bruised cheek.

"You…dare strike me, a chosen one?" he growled, "YOU BASTARD!" he roared, spreading his arms wide and his body bubbling and rippling-

Before suddenly dozens upon dozens of gleaming silver blades erupted from his body and shot up like a hail of arrows towards him.

Kaden's eyes widened and he quickly kicked off the air, racing away from the blades.

Yet Grydle only smiled smugly and swiped his hands through the air towards him and the blades abruptly changed directions and shot towards him once more, chasing him!

'That's right, the book said the user of this fruit had control of shit they made!' Kaden gasped.

A cat and mouse game began, with Kaden dashing through the air and a massive hail of blades that just continued to increase in number by the second chasing him.

Before long, multiple hundreds of them were on his tail.

"Fuck this!" Kaden roared and thrust his feet outwards, stopping his momentum in track and transferring it into another Geppou.

Only this time, he kicked off the air with all his strength with only one of his legs and forced himself into a rapid spin, "Rankyaku!" he shouted as he turned around, using the momentum he built up to launch his other leg out and create a massive blade of air that tore towards the hail of blades.

The wind blade slashed into many of them, tearing them from the air in a symphony of groaning and grinding metal.

It did not stop all of them, but it gave him enough leg room to continue his spin and fire off another Rankuya, and then another in quick succession, three massive air blades taking care of the vast majority of the devil fruit created blades.

"Rot in hell!" Graydle's snarling voice alerted Kaden to his approach before a shadow fell over him.

Kaden looked up and gaped as an utterly titanic spiked mace easily a hundred feet wide swung down through the air towards him, attached to a supremely long tentacle of liquid metal that Graydle's arm had transformed into.

…He hadn't even sensed it, too pre-occupied with the haul of blades.

His observation haki was still way too immature!

It was so big and so fast.

On instinct, he brought his arms together guarding his chest, neck and face, "TEKKAI!" he roared and concentrated his haki into his arms as much as possible.

Even if it wasn't a lot.

The massive mace struck him like a falling meteor and smashed Kaden down into and through the ground.

He felt his bones crunch, wounds open up across his body, agony erupting through his being and then the force of it all just stunned the thoughts straight out of his bed.

He couldn't think.

He couldn't breathe.

His vision went dark and his eyes shut.

He returned to consciousness as the massive mace lifted off of him and retracted back into Graydle's arm, the man standing at the top of the crater he'd smashed him into, a sneer on his lips, "Right where you belong you worm, in the dirt," the vice admiral nodded, his arm transitioning into a spiked lance, "Now die."

Kaden stared blankly up at the man as he lifted his arm and pointed it towards him. He could barely feel anything beyond the pain.

This was it…this was how he died? To some bootlicker who only got to where he was because he slurped the farts out of his disgusting kins asses? This was all he was worth?

His fist tried to clench, nails scrabbling in the dirt and finding no purchase.

The metal arm lance stretched towards him at a rapid speed and Kaden's perception of the world slowed, his pitiful life flashing before his eyes.

He had accomplished nothing. Back home, he was a no name orphan that nobody had cared about at all. Just when he things were beginning to go his way, he was stolen from his world and his body. Deposited in the body of immortal freak that fled his own body because he was afraid of dear old grandpa after finding out the truth of his birth.

Three months of back breaking training putting everything he'd had knowledge of to try and make something of himself, thinking of a plan to make up for the shit storm his fool of an other self had left him in…

Only to be killed off, by a piece of trash who would happily slurp on his previous self's knob end just because he had the blood of a Celestial Dragon?

All that, everything he was….amounting to….absolutely nothing?

"LIKE HELL!" Kaden roared, pushing past the pain he thrust one hand up, tensing his muscle with all he had, "TEKKAI!" he roared his defiance against his fate, bolts of black energy crackling around his form and blasting out in a wave of force.

The lance pierced into his palm, digging an inch deep into it, piercing the bone, but not any further.

The wave of Conqueror's haki that erupted from Kaden slammed into Graydle and the man gagged as his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he staggered backwards.

It stunned him, for only a moment.

But it was enough.

With a roar, Kaden pushed himself to his feet, his fingers clenching around the metal lance digging into his palm and pulled with all his might.

Graydle was pulled right up off of his feet and dragged rapidly into the crater towards Kaden, who reached into his pocket with his free hand and pulled it out to reveal a jagged sea green spike.

Awareness returned to Graydle's eyes a moment later, just in time for him to come face to face with Kaden as he stepped forward into a Soru and blitz'd forward and blinding speeds.

And thrust the sea stone spike straight through his throat.

Graydle gurgled around the spike piercing his throat and his hands clawed at Kaden's arm.

Only for Kaden to smash his haki infused fist into the mans face. And then again, and again.

Holding him by the spike in his throat, Kaden wailed on the vice admirals face with his fist until his face turned into a mush of broken bone and blood and he went limp.

Only then did Kaden let him go, dropping his corpse to the ground, before dropping onto his backside with a delirious laugh.

'I was lucky.' the teenage marine traitor giggled to himself. Graydle didn't seem to be like other Vice Admirals. He relied on his fruit entirely, didn't know the Rokushiki and didn't seem to know how to use haki either even if he apparently knew about it.

If the man had been like any other Vice Admiral with that fruit on top? He would have had no chance at all.
It was luck he won.

But he did win.

"I….can do this." Kaden breathed out with a laugh even as his ribs throbbed with agony.

He'd defeated a high tier logia. Even with his limited potential, even with his limited amount of time and training.

He wasn't a pathetic loser like his other self.

Which reminded him-

Kaden reached into his jacket, now soaked with blood and pulled out a banana wrapped up nice and safe.

Somehow, the thick padding of his jacket had been enough to stop it from getting squished.

He unwrapped it and stared at it, before sighing as he noticed no changes at all, it was just a plain old normal banana.

"Damn…guess my luck isn't that grea-" Kaden' eyes widened and he cut himself off as before his eyes the banana began darkening in colour until it was a dark metallic grey with jagged spiky wavy doting across it.

And here we are back again with chapter five, yay us.

Anyway, quite a bit happened this chapter. Kaden was just supposed to be stopping on the island to change lanes so he could continue on to Punk Hazard and get his yummy yummy shit tasting dragon fruit. Instead, he comes across corrupt evil marines. Just another day in the world of One Piece. And found the resolve to face against those stronger if it came to it and come out on top, even if with a bit of luck and heavy dose of being underestimated. And hell, he even got his hands on a logia, go him! Well, beyond that if you wanna read ahead we're up to chapter 13 with this on Pa-atreon so quite a few more chapters.

Anyway, again, shameless Pa-atreon plug. I've got one, go by the same username on there, easy to find and all that jazz. Support me if you want, it'd be swell, but don't feel pressured lads and ladies, I'll be uploading my stuff outside it regardless and not keeping it all behind a paywall or anything like that.
