4. Chapter 4 - Author's Note

Hello everyone!

Well it appears I never continued writing - for shame haha

At the time I started writing TBHYA I was going through quite a lot in my personal life and was very unwell with alcoholism. I spent the following years going to therapy and working and generally becoming a more ~normal~ person (if there is such a thing).

I've picked up reading fics again recently, and today decided to have another look at this one:

First, I am SO SORRY for the spelling and grammar and plot consistency issues in the first chapters - I can definitely tell my mind wasn't in the right place if I let that many errors slide!

Second, I have actually completely lost track of where this story was going. I really like the first 3 chapters and don't want to change them (aside from some grammar editing), but the overall direction of the plot may change. I still need to go back and look at my notes for upcoming chapters, if I have any, to see what my plans may have been, but idk I think I have a better tale in mind from here. Or at least one that I want to explore.

Third, even though I'm going to keep both SS and HG as main characters, I don't know if I'm going to make this a pairing anymore. I've been reading a DM/HG fic recently and that may be the pairing instead (sorry if you came for the SS/HG), or I may not do a pairing at all. Idk, I might just see what the characters want to do.

Fourth, with Hogwarts Legacy being released this year and me playing a stupid amount of hours on it I've really enjoyed being able to picture the land surrounding Hogwarts and Hogsmead, and I'd like to incorporate some of those locations in at some point.

Fifth, another thank you to everyone who liked, followed, and commented over the years of me leaving this story lonely. Literally 5 years. Lets get back to it.
