"So Salvador you are officially the captain of the team"

"Cloood!" Clodsire yawned in return.

"Wait you weren't already in charge?" Koraidon asked.

"Legally no but now that I am my first order will be making Ayuda the vice-captain"

"Yes, Salvador I will not disappoint you!" Toedscool did a salute with her arm.

"What not us!" Quaxwell and Armaruge said in unison.

"One because both your egos are way too big and two you just feed off it and encourage each other like a vortex of egos"

"Anyways that's not important right now since it looks like Julianna getting ready to return us to our capsules"

Julianna returned her team minus Koraidon and set off to Mezagoza to train her team.

Mezagoza had a large wild Pokémon population and was easy-to-find trainers to battle so it was easy for her Pokémon to gain experience.

Quaxwell was able to learn a new move when battling a trainer. His body started glowing with a blue outline and he began striking the opponents Thwackey with multiple strikes of his wings and feet.

Tulio had learnt the new move Acrobatics an upgrade over Wing Attack which Tulio was now practicing on a training dummy as he mastered the dance patterns required to execute the attack properly.

Toedscool was also practicing her new move Spore. Unfortunately, her ability was Mycelium Might, meaning that Spore would always hit last the flip side was that it would always hit so she was taking turns practicing with Clodsire and Armarouge dodging their attacks before hitting Spore.

In between the sparring matches with Toedscool Clodsire and Aemarouge were training on their own Julianna taking note of how many wild Pokémon they had managed to defeat some of which came back multiple times including Tinkatuff, Falinks, and Girafarig that managed to pick a fight and loss five times.

Well her team trained, Julianna also trained. Well, she considered herself decently athletic If she was going to be taking on Team Star she needed to be above what was considered the average for someone her age.

So Julianna practiced her endurance by running up and down the stairs of the academy tomorrow she was planning to practice jumping and climbing in the academy gym tomorrow.

She would practice today if it weren't so late.

Also, how was it so late already? It was past midnight!

After looking at her phone she had a bunch of texts from her friends and her mother asking where she was.

After texting them to confirm she was okay she quickly went up to her dorm and fell asleep before her head hit the pillow.

Pear Guy: Added Javier and Ana to the group chat.

Pear Guy: No one leaves :)

Javier: That sounds oddly threatening.

Penny: I wouldn't worry about it Nashi wouldn't hurt someone I don't think.

Pear Guy: Listen to Penny

Future E4 Member: What the hell are you all doing up?

Ana: We could be asking you the same thing.

Future E4 Member: Because someone keeps blowing up my phone.

Penny: Well I found Florian and by extension his friends so I added him to the group chat.

Ana: Where is Florian anyway?

Javier: Probably asleep he has his notifications muted.

Cherry Soda: That's what I was doing until you woke me up we have a contest tomorrow.

Penny: This was Nashi's idea so I'll let him explain.

Pear Guy: Me and Cherry have been really worried about Julianna's training obsession I mentioned to her she was already ahead of the curb with badge collection and she completely brushed it off.

Future E4 Member: Is she?

Cherry Soda: No offense Rinto but you're also ahead of most people.

Pear Guy: Ya me and Cherry just got our 4th badge 2 days ago and you're both gearing up for Larry.

Ana: And this is our problem because?

Future E4 Member: Excessive training can lead to burnout syndrome and an overall decrease in the quality of the trainer and their Pokémon's performance level.

Ana: I can relate to that I get super cranky when I'm tired.

Penny: Just mention this to Florian when he's awake.

Javier: Got it

Ana: Got it

Javier: Also who are Cherry and Nashi? Like I know you guys must be her friends but I have no reference as to what you look like.

Javier: Ya you guys look great.

Ana: That took you quite a while to respond to them.

"So Cinderace are you excited for training today!" As Goh suspected Cinderace was definitely eager to be getting some battling in (probably with Lucario) and bounded onto the training ground.

Chloe was already there Gimmighoul being stubborn like before and refusing to battle until her Eevee hit it with a Bullet Punch she got of Lucario with Copy Cat.

Ash and Iris could be spotted talking to a guy someone that Goh swore he remembered from somewhere before.

When the boy turned around to leave Goh remembered where he had seen him when Ash thought the Titan Bombirdier.

"So what do I do about that?" Ash asked.

"Do what he said talk to her maybe she'll listen to you"

"What was that guy talking about to you?" Goh asked.

"Oh, you remember Julianna?"

"Ya the girl with the weird Cyclizar"

"Yup her that was one of her friends. He said that he's worried about her training habits he said she's other working herself"

Goh wasn't sure if asking Ash for help with this particular topic what with his habit of nearly getting killed in the past. Although to be fair this seemed more like Julianna was overworking herself than putting herself into dangerous situations. Not that this wasn't dangerous.

Right now Ash agreed to let Iris try to deal with the problem and they went on with training.

Goh decided that it would be a good idea to get out of his dorm and to get his mind off what happened with Team Galactic and Slither Wing.

Speaking of the giant moth she was currently out with Roaring Moon getting a how-to basic on battling since they didn't seem to understand what a proper battle was back in Area Zero.

It still made Goh uncomfortable seeing Slither Wing walking around freely after she had almost tried to eat him.

However, there was still stuff that had happened involving them and Team Galactic which they didn't know about.

Either way, Roaring Moon seemed to pick up on the idea first sparing with Iris's Dragonite alternating between Dragon Claw, Scale Shot, Thunder Punch, and Dragon Rush.

Slither Wing still seemed hesitant to be around other Pokémon standing on the edge of the court avoiding everyone else's battles.

Cinderace went to train with Lucario and Finizen Goh was still impressed that the Dolphin Pokémon was willing to take on Pokémon much stronger than himself.

Wattrel was practicing on moving targets using the new move that she had learned Air Slash firing multiple blue energy blades when flapping her wings.

Primeape was battling with Dracovish and Gengar taking a Psychic Fangs and Dazzling Gleam before firing back with Rage Fist which dealt a massive blow to Gengar.

After some research Ash and Goh found out the Rage Fist did more damage the user had taken which paired quite well with how Primeape liked to get up close and personal when fighting which would inevitably result in him taking heavy damage.

That meant that the only one missing was Capsakid.

"Goodness has anybody seen where Gimmighoul went for the life of me I can't find it" Chloe muttered looking around the battlefield.

Well, that couldn't be good having both of them missing.

Finizen seemed to sense that something was off leaving his training session with Lucario and Cinderace bolting off with Aqua Jet.

Sure enough Capsakid and Gimmighoul were making a run for it with a bunch of gold coins in their hands.

Were Gimmighoul kept finding all of these coins was beyond Goh but Finizen was clearly having none of it tackling into the two of them with Aqua Jet.

Capsakid immediately responded with a Bite sinking her teeth into Finizen's tail and biting down so hard that it created a red mark.

Finizen shook off the biting pepper with a Water Gun and followed up with Double Hit.

Gimmighoul tried to intervene to help their partner in crime but he was very untrained and weak compared to Finizen and its Astonish attack bounced off Finizen without doing any damage.

Finizen quickly put Gimmighoul down with an Aqua Tail but Capsakid stood firm against the resisted attack.

Capsakid summoned a Sunny Day boosting her speed to try and gain the upper hand on Finizen.

Well, most others there were still focused on their own training Lucario and Cinderace were focusing on the battle to see how their prodigy faired Wattrel perched on one of the training dummies to observe her teammate and Slither Wing was watching interested in what an actual battle looked like.

Finizen struck Capsakid with Aqua Jet to get around the speed advantage dodging a Crunch from Capsakid and striking with another Aqua Tail.

With all of her strength, Capsakid charged up a ball of green energy in her mouth firing the Energy Ball at Finizen.

Unfortunately, the lack of training showed as the Energy Ball went wide-right exploding in a burst of green behind Finizen.

Finizen spun forward with another Aqua Tail slamming Capsakid in the face and knocking her out.

"Alright, that's it!" Capsakid shrieked getting back to her feet "I've had enough of you meddling in my business. From now on I declare you my rival!"

"Alright then I accept your offer! After all every hero needs to have a nemesis!"

"But Caps I want to have a nemesis too!" Gimmighoul wined

"Well Finizen is already taken so I don't know you can have Wattrel or something"

"Alright then" Gimmighoul huffed "Hey Wattrel you yes you Storm Petrel you and me mono-a-mono we're rivals now!"

Wattrel completely ignored Gimmighoul's antics going back to working on her accuracy with Air Slash.

Gimmighoul was shocked at Wattrel's complete ignorance of their declaration of rivalry. Clearly, they needed the rest of the gold coins they needed to evolve.

They also needed to find a firestone for Capsakid whatever she needed it for. why a grass type needed a firestone was beyond him.

His concerns about stealing stuff became null when the giant moth came charging towards him.

Goh felt his heart stop when Slither Wing went charging at Capsakid and Gimmighoul.

The Paradox Pokémon sent both of them flying with Dual Wingbeat she then looked back at Ash as if to get his confirmation.

"Goh you don't need to worry I think she just wants to try battle practice"

"She tried to kill me I think I have the right to be apprehensive" Goh snapped back unusually harshly.

"Okay then sorry if I offended you I'll just let her train with Sirfetche'd since he's more on her power level"

"Sorry I know you don't mean any harm but that thing still freaks me out I mean it's a moth with jaws that's horrifying"

"I have to admit that yes I do agree with you on that the first time that I saw her rummaging through the recycling bin it did scare me a bit"

"Wait what do mean rummaging through the recycling bin?" Goh asked concerned that Slither Wing was let out long enough to get into Professor Cerise's office.

"Oh ya turns she was trying to eat the paper shreds I don't think that she's figured out that paper isn't food yet"

Goh would have laughed at that if the image of the 10-foot-long moth snake rummaging through bins and wolfing down paper with those insect jaws that, yes looked like normal insect jaws but were super uncomfortable to see on a moth"

He knew he'd have to get around to liking Slither Wing but for now, he was happy to keep their interactions to a minimum.

Another chapter bites the dust next chapter finally picks up the Inteleon and Team Galactic storyline again.

These chapters are a bit shorter recently because they're in the lull period between the start where all the expression happens and the end where all the plot points come together so stay tuned for the next one.
