After talking with Monk Gyatso he called in another monk and asked him to show me to my room. Before we left i bowed and thanked him for sharing his history with him. when we left the monk took me to my room wich was a small room with just a futon and a desk. As i was setting up my room the monk that brought me to my room returned with a set of monk robes (aang outfit form atla).
Once i was settled in i took a walk around the Monastery and found a small group of monks meditating and asked if i could join them. they were surprised to see me and ask who i was so i explained my story to them. they were suprised to find out i was blind and asked how i was able to know they were there when they weren't make any noise so i told them about my seismic sense ability. After all that they let me join them and explained to me that meditating help find ones true self and if skill enough one could use astral projection. In response i asked really i could project me self out side my body. one of the monk daid no its impossible but monk gyatso said he could but i dont believe him he probably just saying that so we will meditate.
we spend a couple of hours talking and meditating until we heard a bell and all the monk yelled its dinner time lets go eat and took off towards the mess hall. i decide to stay and meditate. while meditating i started thinking about the history monk gyatso told me and started wondering if the was a way to bend all the elements. so after another hour of meditation i webt to see monk gyatso to ask but on the way to see him i sensed that everybody was starting to lie down so i assumed that is was late and decided to see monk gyasto tomorrow morning and made my way back to my room for the night. as i was falling a sleep i remember my dream of aang and gow he was bending all the elements.
I was suddenly woking up by a Loud bell. it took me a minute to remember yesterday and got up and dressed in the monk clothing and made my way to the mess hall were there was about a hundred poeple eating a talking. some of the monks keep asking about my milky eyes so after explaining to everyone i decided to put a headband of my eye so everyone would stop asking about my eyes (Like Goji from Jiu-Jitsu Kaizen) after finishing breakfeast i headed to see monk gyasto but when i got there he was talking with another person so i decided to meditate just putside until they where finished. about 30 minutes pasted and the man who was talking with monk gyasto walk out of his room as he walked past i walked in. gyasto asked what i needed and i ask if he knows of anyone who could bend all the elements and that i saw a young monk named aang bend the elements and how was he able to bend the elements. after i said this gyasto was silent for a few minutes when he did speak all he said was follow me.
We walk for a while and the other monks started to following us. when we stop i sensed a circular platform with wooden gates on them. monk gyasto said this is a time honored tradition of use monk the goal of this contraption is to be a leaf, you must be able to change direction at a moment's notice.gyasto said i will do it and then you will try it once you mange to get throught it without being hit i will tell you what you want oh and if you have to make it throw it while they spinning. i watched on as gyasto Dodge and weaved through the gate as if he were an actual leaf but when i tried i could even get past the first gate. i tried and tried but i couldn't do it, i spent the entire day trying. after i ate supper i decided it was time for bed and this was my routine for the rest of the summer. in the end i never end up completing monk gyasto task.
As i was packing up for the return home a monk nocked on my door and told me the gyatso want to see me before i left. when i arrived gyasto was drinking tea, i asked what he wanted me for. He said he want to tell me a story before i left (the story is the entire legend of Korra series). once he was finished the story i asked why he was telling me this story, gyasto said that that story was about the last avatar and what the avatar was. Gyatso got up and handed me a book and said this was for the next avatar and in this book explain korras Journey and was to be given to the next avatar but the next avatar never appeared.
in replie to all this was why are you given me this and that i couldnt read the book. all i heard was some chuckling and was tood that the book in my hands is written in Braille so that i could read it and that he believed me hito be the avatar. i was shocked and asked how could i be that avatar then it hit me, the dreams of people and bending, i was seeing my past live. i asked why after so long and why me. monk gyasto said that the avatar is meant to bring balance to the world, and that normally the avatar was told they were the avatar at much later time but that he felt that i had to be told.
after my talk with gyasto i grab my things and started my descent down the mountain. my mother was waiting at the bottom we exchanged greetings and got in the car, My mother asked why i was so quiet. i told her that my Quirk isnt a quirk but an acient power long forgotten bby the world and that might be able to bend the 4 elements. she ask what i ment so for the rest of the ride i recounted all the events that happened of the summer and that i was welcomed back a the temple anytime.
When we got home my mother was over whelmed with all that she learned and before i could go to my room she ask what the avatar roll is in the world so i told her that the avatar is supposed to bring balance to the world. after i told her i went to my room to meditate and while i meditating i keeped think of korra when all of a sudden i heard a female voice in my room, in a panic i asked how was there and all i heard was can you not see me and that my name is korra one of your past live. i couldn't believe what i was hearing, i was shocked quiet. she told me that if he wanted to learn more bending to sending your spirit to the spirit world and ill teach you. before i could comprehend what happened she disappeared.i sat there for a good hour try to wrap my head around what just happened.
for the rest of my time before the i start school i tried to enter the spirit world but i couldnt so i sent a letter to monk gyasto asking if he knew how to enter the spirit realm. it would take about a month to get to the temple so i just focused on my studies and meditating, while at school i did my best to avoid bakugou but most days i couldnt escape his bullying. so i decide to take i different path home through the forest where i found a babe bird on the ground so i decided to take it home and take care of it and have him be my companion.
When i arrived at home i brought the bird to my room and serched up how to take care of a baby bird. once i figuered that out i told my mom and she liked the idea and went to the store and while she was gone i decided to meditate. while i was meditated my eyes shined white and then i could see for the first time in my life and what i saw was incredible a huge feild of flower they were pink puple and green it was i gorgeous view. then it hit me how am i seeing what happen and where am i. then an elderly man came into view with a small dog by his side and he said i has been a long time my old friend. i asked who he was and how does he know me. he said that he would explain all after we get to my home.
as we walked to his house i saw amazing things we past creatures and forest but when we got to his house it was in a field. there were some creature wait for the old man. we sat down and he made me some tea and introduced him self a iroh and that he was friends with aang the avatar. he also askes me what me name was and what hes doing in the spirit world. my eyes widen after he said i was in the spirit and i jump up in glee and said yes i finally made it to the spirit world.in response all iroh did was raise his eye brows
After i calmed down i told iroh my history and that i was here because korra called me here to learn bending from her. all iroh did was stroke his beard and nodded. he then told me that you are the first avatar to be blind and that he wouldnt mind teaching me to. i smile and agreed and told him for some reason im not blind in the spirit world. iroh didnt know why but said that made thing easier for him and korra.iroh also explain that now that im here it will be much easier to get to the spirit world and said you should go back and come tomorrow. so i left tye spirit world.
when i returned it was late and my mother had yet to return from the store so i was starting to worry about her when i sensed to people coming towards the front door and right before they could knock on the door i opened it and i asked them who they are. they told me that they were police officer and that they need to speak to my father. i told them that my father died when i was 2. rhey looked at each other then said that we have some sad news for you, your mother was in a bad car accident and shortly passed away after we pulled her out. in response i fell to the ground and strated to cry and deny what they said. one of them bent down and held me while i cryed my eyes out.
it was about to hours later where i was brought to the local police station whereas if I had any relatives I could possibly stay with and i said that i dont have anybody. i asked if they could send a letter to monk gyasto and ask if he was willing to let me saty with him but it might take a while to receive word. they agreed and asked if there was anything i need from my house and i told them that i need to grab my thing and my pet baby bird. they sent an officer to grab my things and while they did that i children's aid worker came an took my to an orphanage. while i waited for word from monk gyasto i had to get back to school.
while at school nobody bothered me after they heard they news. i was always in a sad mood. but after a month the bullying started back up thanks to bakugou. my school life was hell but i was able ro hang on until i got a letter saying that how sorry monk gyasto felt at the news of my mother passing and that i was welcome to stay with him and that he and the other monks will home school him. so after that i packed my things and took horus my hawk with me. after arriving at nara monastery i was meet by monk gyasto he hugged me and told me that he may start head up the mountain and tyat he had to talk with the children's aid worker.
while gyasto talked i got to the top of the mountain were i set up my room where i decided to meditate but everytime i closed my eyes i saw my mother so i decided to take horus out. while out all of a sudden horus flew off and then a deafening screech echo through the mountain. i heard screaming and i ran up to one of the monk asking whats going on and he told me that theres a giant bird flying around the mountin. i thought to my self that this must be a quirked animal and what we were supposed to do there wasn't a hero agency nearby. and then i remember that horus was flying around and called out to him, i heard another deafening screech and then a large gust of wind that put me on my butt. as soon as what ever it was landed on the ground i sense that it was a giant hawk and that it started to shrink and walk towards me. to the shock of everyone the bird flew up to my shoulder and screeched, i stuttered out horus and got confirming screech.
after that i wrote a letter explaining what happened to the government and that i wanted to get a license to own and ride him in public. while waiting to hear back from the government i spent alot of time grieving over my mother. after about a month a man from the government came to see horus and to give me a test to see if im taken care of horus properly. after the man from the government asked me why he wanted to ride him and i told him that i wanted to travel around the world once im done my train and that i would be pretty cool to fly around on a giant hawk. in response he told me that it was fine but that i need parental consent and to stay away from airports and planes in the air. so I brought him to monk gyasto and they talked. when they finished i took the government man down the mountain and he asked if its all right if he sent an specialist to study your hawk. i told him it was fine so long as they dint hurt horus, when we got to the bottom of the mountain i asked about getting a saddle made for horus. they said that i would have to pay for it my self but it s was possible.
once he left and i ascended the mountain once agian i talk to gyasto about ordering the saddle for horus and that there would be a specialist to study horus. gyasto said it was fine and asked if i managed to get to the spirit world yet and thats when it hot me i totally forgot to go back and see iroh so i to gyasto about everything then ran to a secluded spot to meditate and enter the spirit world. when i got to the spirit world i was in the same place i was when i first cane to the spirit world so i fallowed the path i took last time. when i arrived at iroh house he was drink tea whith a tanned ladie with short black hair. then i realized who it was and yelled her name. in response korra look over and said it about time kid where have you been.
Once i got to the table everyone was sitting at i told them what has happen over the last couple of months and about horus. they were understanding and caring. once i was done explain i asked when my train would begin. korra siad are you sure you want to start now you just lost you mother. i told them that its because of my mother that i want to start my training because my mother believed that i could bring balance to world.
