Scene 117
Moments later the Perdition is seeing landing near the Capital building as Leia, Han, and the rest await to greet Luke.
Their glad countenance soon turns to sorrow as Leia and Han see Celia come of the Perdition looking very sad. She's visibly tore up and in tears and she runs to her parents who hug her tightly.
Leia: What's wrong... something's happened...I can sense something...
Han looks confused as he realizes something is terriblely wrong.
Celia: (Crying) Mother!
Han: Celia! What happened?!
Just then Luke comes of the Perdition carrying Saul's body as everyone gasps and is in disbelief.
Leia: SAUL!!!!
HAN: MY SON!!! WHAT HAPPENED?!?
Chewie let's out a howl of pure pain and sorrow!
C-3PO: Oh no! Poor master Saul!
Han and Leia rush over to Luke and take Saul's body in his arms as they look very distraught and in pain.
Han looks at Luke with tears and anger.
Han: Luke...what happened to my son?!?
Luke just looks bad with grief and is at a loss for words.

Scene 118
A day later, thousands of people are gathered near the capital to celebrate the victory over the Imperial Union. Lando's family is there too along with their new pet Cally Coo. Leia, Han, Lando, Luke, Celia and Chewie are gathered as well as everyone else that fought as Leia address the crowd.
Leia: Today will be a long remembered day in the history of the Republic. Together we stood and told tyrannical rulers that we will be free...even if the cost is great...and the cost we paid to win was great indeed...but I assure you...as Chancellor...I will always fight for your freedom and ours...and if need be...we shall pay that cost again... great sacrifice will always be the price of freedom...Today we are free... tomorrow defends on us all...may the force be always with us...
The crowd cheers as Leia looks somberly on.

That night a funeral for Saul is being held. His body is being burned in accordance with Jedi tradition as everyone looks very sad and somber. Luke walks away after a few moments to be alone. Leia sees him leaving and walks away from Han to say a few words.
Leia: Luke...
Luke: Leia...Are you alright...
Leia: ...No...it'll be some time from now...but for now...I want you to know this is very hard for me.
Luke: I understand...Leia...I want you to know...I tried everything I could to stop him...
Leia: I know it's not your fault...I just want more answers and I...
Just then Han walks up to Leia and kisses her forehead.
Han: Why don't you go back to the others. I'd like a word with Luke.
Leia nods to him and looks at Luke with somber but loving eyes. Luke just nods and looks the same way back. Leia leaves as Han speaks.
Han: I know you say Saul attacked you and you had no choice to do what you did...
Luke: I'm so sorry Han...
Han:...My son was a good boy...loved us all...and we loved him...and then he died... fighting you...my son knew right from wrong Luke...my son wasn't capable of what you've claimed...so that makes you a murderer...
Luke: Han...!
Han:... We go a long way back Luke...and now you've murdered my son...I'm going to mourn with my wife and daughter for three days...and then I'm going to find you...and avenge his blood...
Luke: Han...please...don't do this...
Han: Three days...you need to leave...
Han turns away and leaves Luke alone.
Cut to:
Han returns to the funeral as Celia comes to him and hugs him.
Celia: Where did Luke go father?
Han: ...Luke's going to take some time away from everything for awhile...
Celia just looks confused as she looks in the direction of Luke. Leia just looks at Han as she senses their is more to what he said.

Luke and Leia's theme plays as Luke is seeing boarding his ship, the lipizzaner. He sits at the controls and pauses a moment as senses Leia in the force.

Leia: Luke...don't leave...

Luke: I have to sister...I am sorry... goodbye...

Leia:...Luke...
Cut to:
Luke breaks the force connection and fires his ship up. He flies out of the atmosphere and into space. He punches some coordinates on his pad and makes a jump to somewhere unknown in hyperspace...
