Loki of Tomorrow Season 2 Chapter 20
Kratos and Freya lead Sara and Loki through the door to the bifrost and the world tree.
"What is this place?" asked Sara.
"The Bifrost I pressume?" asked Loki.
"You would be right Loki" said Freya.
"We are going to a realm to test your mettle. A place to harness your rage through combat." explained Kratos.
"Which would be?" asked Sara.
"Surtur's domain" said Freya.
"Muspelheim?" asked Loki.
Kratos then opens the door that lead to said realm.
"This way" said Kratos.
Kratos then leads Sara and Loki to an arena style location.
"Is that a big sword?" asked Sara.
"Touch it" said Kratos.
"What?" asked Sara
"You are about to particpiate in the Muspelheim trials. You will face a relentless amount of foes ahead of you." explained Freya.
"The trials will help build your rage. A healthy way to unleash it. But there is more to your rage than just your anger. You must learn to forge it into a weapon." explained Kratos.
"Well that's helpful." asked Sara
Sara goes to touch the sword as the fire burns to cause the trials to begin.
"Ready yourself Sara Lance!"
Dozens of Draugurs entered the arena. Sara twirls her bostaff ready for the first round of the trials. They rush against her as Sara begins to pick them off one by one. She fights them off with her staff, blocking blows and fending off incoming attacks from all locations.
"FOCUS YOUR ATTACKS! DO NOT LET THEM BREAK THROUGH YOUR DEFENSE!" shouts Kratos.
Sara clubs a draugur on it head to hard she snaps its neck as she uses her staff to choke out another. She hits a spinning hook kick on one from behind to prevent them closing in. She takes a sword from one and uses it against it by stabbing some and cutting off their heads.
One however tackles her from out of nowhere as they begin to pile on top of her.
"SARA!" shouts Loki.
"Wait! Letbher continue" said Kratos.
Sara began to feel the rage build within.
"RAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH"
She poweres them off in an explosive manner as she rushes through them literally tearing them aparp limb from limb. She then sprints towards one and slams one on the ground and stomps on its head causing it to splatter.
She then goes for a ground pound on the remaining draugurs.
"Calm yourself Sara. You have completed the first trial." said Kratos.
Sara then takes a deep breath and calms her rage , returning to normal.
"That's it?" she asked.
"Far from so. It will only grow more difficult from here on" said Kratos.
"Touch the sword again when you are ready" adds Freya.
Sara once again touches the sword to start the next trial.
An army of flying humanoid creatures entered the arena.
"What the hell are these things? Bees?" asked Sara.
"Dark Elves. Stay alert! said Kratos.
Dark elves began to dive towards Sara one by one as she dodge rolls to the side until she catches one by holding its own weapon trying to hold it back. She punches the dark elf in its face until it flies her up and slams her on the ground.
As she recovers she gets shot with a few arrows.
She felt her rage build up again.
"Sara! Focus your rage! Heal yourself!"
Sara knelt down, then tried to focus and channel her rage as she lets out a burst that snaps the arrows into pieces as the crimson vision turns into a green burst of energy.
"Your rage is more than just fury! Harness it to heal from great wounds." said Kratos.
"I think I can do that" Sara said to herself.
Sara continues to fight off the dark elves and as she got hurt, she continued to use her rage for Valor instead of Fury. She grabs one of their spears to skewer the remaining dark elves in the arena building up more rage.
"You have completed the second trial." said Freya.
"The final trial remains. Your final test." said Kratos.
"I'm ready" said Sara.
"Not yet. There is still one final lesson on the rage. Grab your weapon. You must learn about the wrath side of rage" said Kratos.
Sara goes to activate the sword for her final trial.
Both Draugurs and Dark Elves entered the arena.
"You must foucus all your rage into one strike. Charge into your enemies. " said Kratos.
Sara grabs her staff, tightens her grip, and begins to channel her rage.
"RAAAGHHH!"
Sara charges into the group of enemies letting out a battle cry that grew increasingly lounder as she closes in. Sara puts all her energy and force into her attack doing a devastating blow.
"Good work" said Kratos.
"Preciate that, But I'm not done here" said Sara.
The remaining enemies in the area stood together seeing what Sara is now capable of.
She had a smile on her face as she then charged into battle...letting off some steam so to speak.
