God, what have I done? I have just made things 20% harder for myself by adding a new storyline, the fifth by my count. But then again, that's what you need to expect in writing a story. You need to expect the unexpected and just let your creativity flow, which is precisely what I just did. I let my creativity flow, which just made some things harder for me; yet it also made things a lot more interesting for myself as I need to try and merge all of these big storylines together into one cohesive story. Well, I know that I'm up for the challenge if you guys are up for reading my story; and for trying to follow along in this messed up story we already have. I just hope that I'm introducing you guys to the story effectively, in a way that you guys understand as much as possible on the first day. Now, what do you say we try and untangle some more of these storylines and make some things work for Matt, Alex, and Noah.

Quick Note: This chapter is going to be much shorter than normal due to the fact that I have an idea for a dream that I want to take my time with. Now, I hope you guys like both this chapter and the next one. Thanks again for reading.

Chapter Eight

Casey Screening Room – She decided to make herself comfortable in the screening room, before Matt finished spending time with his sister as he got her set up; but that didn't mean that Alex did it alone. Rather, she got some help from a certain friend of hers, Miss Anna Valerie (Jessica's girlfriend). After all, she was literally just sitting around and doing nothing in her and Jess' room due to the fact that she was taking another nap. And that was actually something that Alex wanted to check on since they were both being so quiet, whether Jessica was okay. And thanks to Anna, she knows that she was especially when she heard her say that she was taking a nap. And after a couple minutes of talking and telling her best friend's fiancé that she and Matt would be in the screening room with Noah soon, and to just text them if they needed anything; she offered to help bring Noah downstairs as it was clear to her that Matt wasn't there at the moment (something which she later explained why as they packed up Noah to set him up down here). And let's just say that Anna was a bit surprised that Alex was okay with having her future sister-in-law living with her right before her first Christmas.

I mean, she gets that it's Christmas and a time for family; but based on the way that she and Matt have been talking, she would've assumed that Andrew Darden-Casey (Matt's new half-brother) would've been moving in rather than his sister (whom he's known his entire life). "So, I guess I am just the most surprised that Christie is the one moving in." Anna said, trying to get back on topic as she finished setting up the little crib that Matt and Alex had in here for Noah when, which then led to Alex setting Noah down in said crib since it was where he needed to be at the moment. "Honestly, I just have this feeling that something's up in her life right now that I don't understand. All I know, is that I saw it in Matt's body language that he had to do this for his sister. He needed to let her stay with us for a while, and I most certainly was not going to argue with him when he already has enough drama in his family as it is." Anna laughed. "Yeah, nothing like a secret half-brother to bring some drama into the family." Placing her hands on her hips, Alex looked at her friend. "Hey Anna, might I remind you how Noah was conceived and born again." That was when Anna shut up, as that was true.

After all, just like Andrew Darden-Casey, Noah was conceived out of an affair. "And I don't ever want to hear you say it was an affair, as what me and Matt have is true love. We are in love and there was never a real affair. Hell, he was barely even in a relationship with Hallie based on what I heard." Anna was confused as she heard Alex say that, as she didn't understand; and neither did Matt as he walked into the screening room. "Yeah, don't worry Anna; I can see the confused look on your face and believe me, I am just as confused as you are by Alex's statement there." Turning her head to look at her fiancé, Alex smiled as she knew that she had to explain. "Hey, sorry about you overheard that." Matt agreed with Alex as he made his way over to her and Anna, prior to wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. After which, he kissed the top of her head and held her close while whispering to her. "Care to share just what you mean there babe?" Alex sighed as she looked up at her man, nodding as she most certainly can share. "I will. I promise." Leaning up, Alex proceeded to kiss him softly. "It's just private. Keep it between us." Saying that, Alex turned to look at Anna.

And that was all Anna needed to know what Alex was really saying, which was that this is a conversation that she wants to have with her fiancé alone; something that she understands based on the nature of the conversation. "Listen, you guys have a good day. Let me know when you make supper, and I will get some for me and Jessica. She's still story and staying in bed, doctor's orders." Matt agreed with Anna as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Good, because that's exactly where we want her to be right now." Anna smiled as she put her hand on Matt's arm, agreeing with him as she walked away so that she could go take care of Jessica. Meanwhile, Alex started to walk away from Matt as she already knew that he had a bunch of questions for her based on what she just said; but if she thought that walking away was going to relieve her of her obligation to talk to him about what's going on, then she most certainly was wrong. "Alex, we both know that you can't just make a statement like that and not talk to me now." Alex sighed and agreed with her future husband, well aware that was the case. "Babe, please don't be mad at me and let me explain what I meant." Matt agreed.

After all, that was what he wanted as well. He didn't want to get mad at her, but instead wanted her to explain what she meant, which is precisely what he's going to give her a chance to do. He's going to give her a chance to explain rather than just get mad at her. "I promise Alex, I am not going to get mad when I know that you are probably already nervous as it is when it came to what you just said. But can you at least give me the basics?" Alex sighed as she looked at her fiancé. "Babe, we don't have time for it all as we know that Christie is going to join us in a bit." Matt sighed. "Yeah, that's something we need to talk about too." Alex was confused as she heard Matt say that, not understanding what he was talking about either. "Sorry if I'm not following what you're talking about either Matt." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that she was confused based solely on the look that she was giving him at the moment. Taking a breath, Matt decided to make his way up to Alex and wrapped his arms around her, while Alex did the same around his back. Leaning in, Matt smirked as he proceeded to kiss the woman he loves softly as a way to de-escalate the situation they find themselves in.

Because the last thing that Matt wants to do right now, is fight with his new fiancé and the woman he loves; the mother of his child, just a few days before their first Christmas a family. Rather, he wants to be in a good place with her, which means that they need to talk during this moment of alone time that they have ahead of his sister coming to join them so that she can meet her nephew. "Listen, we have a bit of alone time right now while my sister gets set up in the guest room. You obviously have something that I need to talk to me about, and I have something that I need to talk to you about; so, what do you say we take a breath and talk about those things?" Alex smiled, as that was something that she loved the sound of. "I love the sound and idea of that. But that means that you need to sit down for me so that I can get all comfy and cozy with you on the couch right there, if you would please sit down." Matt agreed with Alex, as that is something that he can do for his beautiful fiancé. He can sit down and cuddle up to her on the couch. "Just be warned though, I am positive that little boy of ours is not going to be staying in that little basinet for long." Alex agreed with Matt.

After all, she already figured that based solely on the fact that his sister is here. "I already knew that baby due to the fact that Christie is here. She's going to want to hold her nephew." Matt sighed when Alex brought up the fact that his sister is here. "Yeah, that's something that we need to talk about." Looking up at Matt, Alex was confused. "Is everything okay babe?" Matt sighed as he prepared to sit down with Alex. "Here, let me sit down and get comfortable with you. Then, we can talk; how does that sound?" Alex agreed with Matt, as that was precisely what she wanted. She wanted to sit down and cuddle up to her man, as they held each other close while Noah took a nap. "I think that's a great idea based on the fact that Noah is currently taking a nice nap for us." Matt smirked, agreeing with Alex as he walked right up to her; he then proceeded to lean over her, placing his hand on her neck in the process. "Did I ever tell you that I have the most beautiful fiancé in the entire world?" Placing her hand on Matt's arm, Alex smirked due to the fact that she loved the sound of that. "You have no idea just how much I love the sound of that." Matt agreed with Alex, smiling at her.

He then proceeded to kiss the woman he loves once more, giving her precisely what she wants from him right now. She wants his love and attention, as they hold each other close for a moment; ahead of his sister coming to join them. But first, he needs to sit down. "Here, move over so that I can sit down." Alex agreed with Matt, doing just that for the man she loves; while he took his phone out of his pocket and went to se tit down on the side table where Alex already put their waters. "How long have I been gone? You already got us all set up down here." Alex snickered, well aware that was the case. "You were talking to your sister and helping her unpack, I took the time to get down here with Noah so we can spend time as a family as I know that Christie wants to meet her nephew." Matt agreed with Alex, as that most certainly is the truth. "Oh yes she does, but first I need to cuddle up to my fiancé." Alex agreed with Matt as he finally sat down on the couch next to her, before crawling over to him so that they could hold each other here on the couch, which is precisely what they wanted anyways. They want to hold each other close, as they relax in each other's arms.

And now that Alex was in Matt's arms here in the screening room, they were both incredibly happy and comfortable as they both wanted to be right now. They wanted to be holding each other close, as they just took it nice and easy with each other; something that always makes them both happy, especially when Matt turns his head and kisses the top of Alex's head. "God, I love that feeling baby. I love this entire feeling that we have." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case as he proceeded to grab the blanket that they have here for when they want to cuddle like this; he then went ahead and put it on top of the both of them as Alex's wanted him to do so that they were nice and warm here in the comfort of their screening room. "God, now that's what I want." Wrapping his arm around Alex's back when he heard that this is what she wants, Matt nodded as he already knew that; something he showed her by turning her head and pressing his lips to her forehead. And let's just say that Alex absolutely loves that feeling due to the fact that it easily makes her go crazy due to the fact that it's her man showing her a lot of love. "I love this feeling so much."

Matt agreed with Alex as he ran his hand up and down her back, all the while continuing to cuddle up to the woman he loves before taking a breath. After which, he went ahead and started to speak to her about what he needs to talk to about. More specifically, his sister. "About that, you may not love me as much when I tell you what I need to tell you." Turning her head, Alex was confused as she had no idea what Matt was even talking about. "Babe, I'm pretty sure that nothing will make me not love you; I mean, I have been by your side for the longest time already." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case as he held her close to him and ran his hand up and down her back. "Well, here's the thing. Christie's visit might not be a short one." Turning her head, Alex snickered. "Oh baby, I already knew that." Turning his head, Matt looked down at the woman he loves. "How?" Alex sighed. "Based on how long it took for you to move her in, the number of bags. Why she here anyways?" Matt sighed as he wrapped his arm around her. "Uhm. Ok, this is hard because it's like our situation." Sitting up, Alex was shocked. "NO! He got someone pregnant!"

Matt sighed. "Kerri Jacobs." Alex was a bit puzzled by that name, as she thought she recognized it. "Why do I recognize that name?" Matt smiled. "She was your chaperone in Los Angeles that one time." Alex then realized something. "Oh shit! I'm fucked!" Matt was confused as he heard Alex say that. "What are you talking about?" Sitting up, Alex sighed. "Ok. So, you remember how I told you that she had fun with a guy on that trip." Matt nodded. "I didn't want to say anything as I thought it couldn't be true due to the fact that he's married to your sister but..." Matt was surprised. "You saw Jim, in Los Angeles the week before Labor Day weekend?" Alex nodded. "Yeah, just hours before we met up in LA; the night before we flew to Hawaii for the weekend." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, as that was a lot of fun. "Oh, I still remember that weekend; it was so nice." Alex nodded, before thinking about that nice vacation that she and Matt took together at their place in Hawaii; and damn was it hot. Oh, they sex they had with each other was fun. As were the days they spent with each other at the beach, which most certainly included some delicious ocean sex.

Oh, the feeling of Matt making love to her in the waves truly was divine; and something that Alex will most definitely want again in the future the next time that they go back with Noah…and their future children. As that was something she could already see. Many future vacations as a family. Her, Matt, Noah, and any other future children that they may have; and maybe even someone to watch the kids so that they can get some alone time with each other. Alone time where they can have sweet sex with each other in the ocean.
