Chapter Eleven

When it came to the things that Alex absolutely loved in life, there were on a few things on that list; and they are all related to the life that she now has with the man of her dreams and their son Noah.

The first thing is the way he treats her: Which is like a queen. Matt just knows her in a way that no other man ever has. He can read her, and he can tell when she needs him the most; and he even knows when things are urgent and require him to put her and only first, even if that means being inconvenient to the other people here in the house. An example of that would be what he just did for her. He come downstairs to be with her in his boxers, even though both his sister and her best friend lived here with them, which was a situation that Matt could care less about. If Alex needed him somewhere, then there would be no delay in him going to be with her. None whatsoever, not even him being required to get changed. His opinion on that? Do the right thing first and apologize after.

And that's precisely what Matt is in the midst of doing at the moment, as he stood at the door to his and Alex's room with his head popped outside as he spoke to his sister. "Yeah, sorry about that." Just looking at her brother, Christie sighed. "Is Alex okay?" Matt bit his lip. "She was the reason I rushed downstairs in my boxers. She wasn't in here when I woke up and got worried." Christie then understood why her brother was in his boxers rather than have some sweats on. "Ok. Just maybe not when we get together. Not sure when that'll happen?" Leaning back, Matt turned his head and looked at Alex. "Supper?" Alex sighed. "Alone. I think we rushed being with other people. We need to take it easy and relax, especially my back which is still hurting from the hospital bed." Matt agreed.

And that was the second thing she loves: How Matt just understands everything so easily. When Alex tells him something, he truly listens and doesn't even question what she needs. Rather, he just gives her what she needs; and right now, that would be a chance to relax and take it easy with the man she loves and their son in their bed. Sure, they can easily spend time with her future sister-in-law; but that's not what Alex wants to do at the moment when she's still dealing with the aftermath of spending a night at the hospital. And sure, she may not have given birth to Noah as Jessica was the one who gave birth and probably has a worse back. And yes, she might not have a right to complain; but she still had to deal with the same type of hospital bed, and midnight feedings as well.

"I just think that it'd be best if we take it easy in here for now, Alex said that her back is still hurting from the hospital bed." A bit confused, Christie then spoke back to her brother. "But she didn't give birth." Matt sighed. "We stayed the night after Jessica gave birth with her in the hospital since it was late when she delivered Noah, and due to the fact that she was coming back here to stay with us; we wanted to drive her home rather than have her drive herself or have Anna drive her. Speaking of which, can you make sure to keep it down? They're here on the same floor as us." And funny enough, that was precisely what Anna was on her way out of her room to talk to Matt about. "Thanks for saying that so that I didn't have to say it Matt. Same goes for you." Matt agreed, smiling at Anna. After all, they need to stay quiet both for their sake; as well for the sake of Jessica and Anna as they took it easy in the guest room up here. "Just remember that you just need to send us a text if you need anything. I will be right there to make sure that you both are okay."

Anna agreed with Matt as that most certainly is the truth. "I promise. Now, me and Jessica are going to watch a movie; but it's on pay-per-view." Matt smiled, agreeing with Anna. "Then go ahead and watch it, we can cover it." Anna was surprised when she heard Matt say that. "Really?" Matt smiled. "It's my little way of getting around the laws that come with surrogacy?" Turning to look at Matt, both Anna and Christie were confused as they heard him say that. "What are you talking about Matt?" Matt sighed. "It's illegal to pay a woman to be a surrogate in the State of Illinois. However, you are allowed to pay expenses. And that's why I gave you guys that credit card." Anna agreed with Matt once more, as that most certainly was the truth. "Speaking of which, do you want it back?" Matt shook his head. "Not yet. Right now, just keep using it to help Jess recover. If she needs a certain pillow or something, then order it as I know it will help. I did go to some of the last classes after all with her." Anna agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case.

Which brings something up. "That reminds me about something I've been meaning to speak to you about. You need to speak to payroll, as they've yet to give me the pay for the work-from-home days I took later in the pregnancy. They think I took vacation rather than work. But I need to get those payments." Matt agreed with Anna, well aware that was the case. "I promise, I'll speak to Hannah Rogers for you guys to make sure that the payments get to you." Christie shook her head as she looked at her brother. "Nonsense. Let me do it. You concentrate on being a new dad, I have much more time to take care of that anyways." Matt smiled, really appreciating just how helpful his sister is when he needs her help. "Thanks sis, I appreciate that." Christie nodded as she grabbed her brother's hand and just smiled. "In return, you can send me a picture of Noah. I want to send one to Violet. She hasn't seen him yet, remember?" Matt agreed with Christie. "Yeah, I promise. I still need to send one to Andy too." Christie agreed with Matt.

After all, if he didn't send one to Andy; then there's no way he's remembered to send one to her. "Ok. I understand. And you're probably really busy." Matt sighed. "Can we not talk about this right now sis? It's not something I want to talk about right now." Christie was a bit confused when she heard Matt say that, as was Alex. "What are you talking about baby?" Turning his head, Matt looked at Alex. "I'm still a bit nervous when it comes to all this. Apparently, the legal team screwed up the contract that we had with the press. Instead of making it until December 31st, they made it until December 21st. The last regular business day for corporations." Alex just looked at Matt. "Are they going to try and renew it?" Matt nodded. "I've been waiting to get an e-mail from John Serhant about it." Alex agreed with Matt, taking a breath. "It'll come soon baby. I promise." Matt agreed with Alex, before turning to look at Christie. "I'll talk to him for you, okay Matt? I promise that everything will be okay." Matt nodded, smiling at his sister.

After which, he turned his head once more and looked at Alex. "How about you come join me in bed babe? Come sit in bed with me and we can talk about it so that I can make you feel better." Matt agreed with Alex, as that was precisely what he wanted her to do, while Christie decided to offer her services as well. "I promise, I'll talk to the staff and make sure that we extend it for a while." Matt agreed, smiling at his sister. "Thanks sis." Christie nodded while shaking his hand. "And Anna, if you need anything; let me know and we can let Matt and Alex here take it easy. Maybe they can finally plan a wedding!" Matt snickered. "I already recommended that to Alex, she just wants to cuddle as we hold each other close in bed." Christie agreed with Matt, understanding why she may want to do that; and it's due to the stress that it may cause. "That makes sense, planning a wedding can be quite stressful." And that was when it hit Matt. Was Alex feeling stressed right now? Is that why she doesn't want to plan the wedding yet? Well, looks like they're talking.

And that was all thanks to his sister pointing that out to him, which is something that he decided to thank her for. "Thanks for pointing that out to me Christie. Now listen, I am going to let you guys go so that I can talk to Alex about that. Meanwhile, we can get together another time." Christie agreed. "Just take your time and concentrate on your family. Let me concentrate on Anna and Jessica, because I have nothing better to do right now. Need a distraction." Matt agreed with Christie as she said that. "Thanks Christie. Now listen, I would rather not keep standing here in my boxers when I can be in bed with my family." Christie and Anna both snickered as Matt said that, as that was the last thing that they wanted; Alex, not so much due to the fact that she loves the sight of Matt's butt in those tight boxers. "I could stare at that butt a bit more." Turning his head, Matt looked at his future wife as she already knew that wasn't the most appropriate thing to say based on who they had at the door right now. "Babe." Alex smiled as she looked at Matt.

After which, she turned her head to look down at Noah once more. "Didn't hear you complain that I said that." Matt agreed with Alex, as he would never complain that she said that when he loves the sound of it. "Listen you two, I'm going to let you go so that I can get back to my family." Christie agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling at him. "Just take it easy and do just that Matt, concentrate on your family and let other people worry about the business right now." Matt agreed with Christie, as that was something that he can do. "I can do just that. Thanks Christie, and make sure that you and Andy work together. I want you guys to get to know each other better. I already know him a lot since he's my best friend." Christie agreed with Matt. "I promise, I'll do that. Now, how about you go spend time with Alex and Noah?" Matt agreed with Christie, before closing the door so that he can do just that. So that he can go spend time with his beautiful family, including the woman who just started to speak to him. "She's not wrong Matt." Matt agreed.

However, it seemed like there was something on Alex's mind at the moment. "Something on your mind babe?" Alex sighed, nodding as there was something on her mind; and that was that she was worried about the man she loves. She was worried about his mental health and just how stressed out he is at the moment. And that's why they're going to talk to each other right now. They're going to talk as they make sure that they're both okay. "Yeah, I want to talk to you and make sure that you're okay." Matt was a bit confused as he heard Alex say that, before making his way over to his and Alex's bed so that he can talk to her. "I'm going to join you in bed, and I hope we can talk." Alex agreed with Matt, as that was something that she wanted too. He wants to talk to the woman he loves as they hold each other close and take it easy with each other in bed. "Then I'm on my way to bed, so that we can talk to each other right now." Alex agreed with the man she loves as she watched him make his way over to her in their bed.

Walking up to his and Alex's bed, Matt smirked due to the fact that she just looks so damn sexy right now; especially as she held Noah in her arms and fed him right now. "Well, I have to say that I love this sight. The sight of you feeding our little boy." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. She then turned her head and smiled as she looked at the man she loves. "And I love the sight of you wearing those tight boxers of yours." Matt smiled and agreed with Alex as he walked up to his side of the bed before putting his knee on their mattress and leaning over his fiancé, while also putting his hand on her neck and starting to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that she loves him, well aware that was the case. "I love you too." Matt smiled as he then proceeded to get in bed with Alex, before wrapping his arm around her and going to grab the blankets. He then proceeded to tug the covers up on top of his family.

After which, he got close to her and looked at his beautiful family, his future wife, and their son Noah. Placing his hand on the back of his head, Matt smiled as he admired his little boy whom he loves already; but not as much as he loves Alex as she's the love of his life. Turning his head, Matt just smirked as he looked into her eyes; while Alex turned her head and looked into Matt's eyes. After which, Matt leaned in and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams right now. She's just so beautiful, and he's very happy to have her as his fiancé. "I am so glad that you're my future wife." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "And I'm glad that you're my future husband." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that. He then leaned his forehead against hers and just smiled due to the fact that this is precisely what they both want to do right now, they both want to hold each other close as they have time as a family right now. While at the same time, Matt was also wondering about something.

And that was the fact that Alex was currently in the midst of breastfeeding Noah again, as he thought that she just fed him. "I thought you just fed Noah." Alex agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she just fed Noah, as that was precisely what she just did. "I did, but I just wanted to give him a bit more milk so that he's good for a bit longer." Matt smirked, as that was something that he loved the sound of. He loves the sound of Noah being fed even more than he needs to, so that they can have more time together. "Oh, does someone want to have more time with me?" Alex smirked as that most certainly is something that he wants to do. "Oh, I want to have a bunch of fun with you today. I want to take it easy with you and just hold you close to me." Matt smirked as that was something that he wanted too. He wants to take things nice and slow with the most beautiful woman in the entire world, but first he wants to just let her feed Noah. "Well, I want you first to concentrate on Noah." Alex agreed with Matt, which is precisely what she's doing right now.

Turning her head, Alex smiled as she's very happy right now. She's happy that they're spending time with each other as a family. "I'm just glad that we're having family time with each other right now." Matt nodded, as that was exactly what he wants too. "I want to have some family time with you as well, which is why we're here right now." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as he pressed his lips to her forehead once more prior to placing his hand on the back of Noah's head once more; he then stroked it and just smiled as they are both really happy with each other right now. "I want to take things slow with you again when we're done feeding him." Turning her head, Alex agreed as that most certainly is something that she wants. She then leaned in and just smiled as they both started to take things nice and slow with each other. After all, that's exactly what they both want. To take things slow with each other, as they have a bit of family time with each other. Yet at the same time, they also want to concentrate on their son Noah.

Well, not just Noah; but she also wants to concentrate on cuddling up to Matt. And while the idea of them starting to plan their wedding is something that interests her, she just doesn't want to go too fast. And that's something that she wants to tell Matt. "Can we talk about how I'm not ready to plan our wedding?" Turning his head, Matt agreed as that was something that he most certainly does want to talk to her about. However, they aren't going to talk about it yet. Rather, they're going to talk about it when Noah is in his crib. "We're going to talk about it when you're done feeding Noah, then we can take it easy and just relax with each other." Alex agreed, as that was a good idea. "I like that idea actually. We can do some talking too as that's what we need to do. We need to talk." Matt agreed with Alex as he said that, smiling as he leaned in and then proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling at her. "I love you too."

He then proceeded to kiss her forehead softly as they both just concentrated on their little boy for a while. "God, I swear. We have a great life now. We're together and we have this sweet little boy in our life." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that. "Yes, we most certainly do. Now listen, just take it easy and relax. I want to stay quiet so that Noah can fall asleep pretty easily." Matt agreed with Alex, as that makes a lot of sense. "Good idea. Plus, that just means that I get something when he's in his crib." Turning her head, Alex was confused as she heard Matt say that. "What are you talking about?" Matt smirked. "Well, we're going to need to whisper to stay quiet; that way Noah can stay asleep. And if I need to whisper to you, then that means that I need to hold you right against my chest so that we can hear each other properly." Alex smirked, as that most certainly is the truth. "Oh, now that's going to be a nice feeling." Matt smirked, agreeing with Alex as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world much more.

Coming to join Matt in bed once more after feeding Noah, burping him, and setting him down in his crib; Alex smiled as she was ready to just cuddle up to her gorgeous future husband as they held each other close and shared some kisses. And damn is that going to be comfortable. She's going to be comfortable due to the fact that she's going to be in Matt's arms as they just took it easy and relaxed with each other, as Matt ran his hands all over her body and kissed her like she wants him to. "I hope you know that I am expecting some nice kisses from you Mr. Casey." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I most certainly do know that Ms. Casey." Alex was a bit surprised as she heard Matt say that. "Did you just call me…" Matt agreed with Alex as she asked him whether he called her Ms. Casey. "Do you like the sound of that?" Alex agreed with Matt as she made her way over to their bed, before climbing into bed with the man she loves the moment she had a chance to do just that, which is what they both wanted.

They both wanted to hold each other close, as they cuddle in bed together. But what's better, is that Alex's topless body is going to be right against her future husband's chest, which is what they both wanted her to do. She wanted to be against his chest as they both held each other close right now. "God, I love the sight of you laying down in our bed in your tight boxers, which I am going to love the feeling of against my legs and body." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that. "Well, if you want it so bad; then you just need to climb in bed with me and get that." Alex smirked as she proceeded to get in bed with the man of her dreams. After which, she went ahead and laid down next to the man of her dreams. The man she loves more than anything in the entire world, her future husband, and the father of her child. And that's something that Matt wants, to cuddle up to the woman he loves, his future wife, and Noah's mother. And that's why he wants to be here with her right now, he wants to cuddle up to her as they held each other in bed right now.

And now that Alex is in bed, that's precisely what Matt's doing; holding the love his life in bed, as he tugged the covers up on top of the both of them so that they're both warm. After which, the both of them placed their hands on each other's bodies; with Alex placing her hands on his face, while Matt placed his hand on her back and stroked it with his thumb. "Somebody comfortable like this?" Alex agreed with Matt, as she most certainly is comfortable as she laid down in bed with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Matt agreed as he stroked her back with his thumb again as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, which is precisely what they both want him to do right now. They both want to hold each other close, as they start this life with each other. A life that most certainly will include them getting married in the future. "So, I think we didn't get an answer to what I asked you; how you aren't ready to plan our wedding yet?" Alex agreed with Matt, nodding before sighing.

After which, she kissed him softly before speaking to her future husband. "I guess, I just don't want to rush everything. I want to enjoy planning the wedding, and not be all stressed yet. I want to just take it easy as we start this new life with each other. A life that we've wanted for the longest time, and I believe that we will just get stressed if we start planning our wedding already." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, while running his hand up and down her back; he then stroked her back and just smiled due to the fact that he doesn't want her to be stressed, but instead wants her to be calm and relaxed. "We need to take it easy and relax for now as we're going to be tired when Noah wakes up in the middle of the night." Matt agreed, as that most certainly is the truth. Noah is going to wake them up in the middle of the night so that he can get fed. "Then do you feel like you want to take a nap?" Alex sighed as she doesn't know what she wants to do as she wants to have time with him. "I just want to make you happy." Matt was surprised.

I mean, she already makes him happy; and why would them taking a nap not make him happy? "Hey, you know that I'm happy with you because I love you babe. I am so glad that we're finally together, and that we have this life together. And nothing, I mean nothing will make me happier than to just spend time with you." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case as she leaned in and kissed the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. She then smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now. "Listen, how about you lay down on your back. Noah will need me soon and I want to take a nap if that's okay." Matt agreed with Alex, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves. After which, he rolled over onto his back; while Alex crawled onto his chest so that she could take a nap and just relax with the man she loves. "Thanks for letting me take a nap baby." Matt shook his head as Alex laid down and wrapped her arms around him, while he wrapped his arm around her and smiled.

After which, he turned his head and pressed his lips against Alex's forehead. "Babe, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to that. If you need to take a nap, then you're going to take a nap…I promise." Alex agreed with the man of her dreams, while cuddling up to him and smirking as she held the man she loves close to her. At the same time, Matt tugged the sheets up on top of the both of them to keep Alex warm. "I hope you know that you never need to feel guilty over need to ask me to take a nap. I want you to be healthy babe. And if that means you need to take a nap, then you most certainly are going to take a nap. Just take one and I promise that I'll let you rest. May not be here when you get back though." Alex was confused as she heard Matt say that. "Dogs." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that he needs to take care of the dogs sometimes, which is why she's more than okay with him getting up. But little did Alex know that he had other plans. Plans that involved them having a nice supper with each other. A date night at home.
