No such luck for him. He slowly got up from his seat. He noticed one of Kuwamara's friends standing in the doorway. He wondered what was going on. He walked over to the doorway and asked, "Kenji…what's wrong?"
Kenji felt a little unconformable at first. He said as he glanced around, "Not here…"
"Uh?" Yusuke asked a little abashed.
Kenji said as he backed away from Yusuke, "Not here…come to the flower shop near the school…o.k.?"
"What?" Yusuke was trying to figure out why Kenji was being so antsy. He looked at the young man with a concerted look. He said as if to reach a quick agreement, "Fine. I'll see you at the flower shop…what time?"
"After classes…I have to be at home no later than five!" Kenji said.
Yusuke had nearly dropped his books when he had the first bell to his next class. He had toil stay for the rest of the day. There was a bad feeling of dread which sank into Yusuke's stomach. He had to hurry up before the second bell would have caught him tardy.
He ran up the hall to Mister Yamata's civic class. Mister Yamata, a tall man with slightly graying hair was standing in the doorway. His dress suit was a dark green. He smiled at Yusuke as he reached the door. He said, "What's the rush?"
"I got to talk!" Yusuke puffed. He felt his cheeks echoic as he breathed. He stood there as Kenji turned to leave the hall. He hoped not to be late himself, yet what was a second or two when someone needed help.
"That's O.K. Don't let that happen again," Mister Yamata teased. He knew Yusuke had a good heart underneath that rough coating of a street punk.
"And what was that smile for?" Yusuke eyed the teacher sourly.
"Oh," he shrugged. "Nothing!"
"Great!" Yusuke sighed, as he thrusted his hands in his pants pockets. He knew something was up with the rest of the class.
"You are going to learn some new people skills one way or another!" the teacher teased.
The bell and rang loudly. Yusuke had no feelings of strangeness. There was just ordinary feelings and really nothing to be thought as evil.
The day was very boring.
"And why do I have to do this?" Yusuke whispered loudly. He sat at a liberal table with Keiko. He was sitting rather straight. She was going to be a royal pain if he was going to be goofing off. She was studying as normal. He tagged along with her. The day was not a total loss. He needed some tutoring in a few class. Keiko was willing to do it,
Yusuke had to get through with the class. He knew once he was done, he could take off. He knew he was cutting class. His mind wandered a little as he thought what would Kekio said to him if he had to cut class. Suddenly he felt cold. Kekio was his little shadow when it to classes.
What's wrong?" someone asked Yusuke. He knew he was not alone. Still the fear of being in a public place and being left to his own wills frightened Yusuke.
"And who is that?" the voice asked again.
Yusuke had to stop for a minute to look at the person who was walking up along the path. There was a coldness in this person stance. He had the same feeling back in the Black Tournament. He felt like the heat was just being sucked from his body. He said, "I would like to ask you that myself!"
He glanced around with cold eyes. His innermost senses were kicking in with all the first of a pile driver. He said to the air, "Show yourself!"
In a heartbeat, Yusuke was looking at young man who bore a striking appearance to a young officer in the air force. This was not the modern day air force. Instead this was the much beloved zero fighter, the Kamikaze. The young man was dressed in dark grey suit. It was not unalike Yusuke's school uniform, but it did lack some of the more modern style. He asked Yuskue, "Who are you?"
The young man bowed slightly before speaking. He said in a very polite tone of voice, "I am called Masafumi Ōnishi!"
Yuskue had been take a back. He did not know how to act. He was still sitting at the table with Keiko. She was too amused to be really paying attention to the rest of the world. Yusuke said in order not to alarm Keiko, "You want to talk outside…"
Masafumi could sense the unconformable way Yusuke was not glaring at him. He knew Yuskue was trying to protect Keiko. He said, "Yes…that would be fine!"
Yuskue looked at Kekio for the possibly of ion last time. He said to Masafumi, "Let's go!"
Yuskue got up from his chair. He noticed a bad feeling inside his gut. Where was he going with a complete stranger? This was not a thrill in which he normally had. Instead, he would at time jump in with both feet. The two started towards the exit.
It did not seem out of place for the two of them to be walking out the door. The two were speaking of the day-to-day boring life. Yusuke needed to be careful on his approach. He could almost tease and sense the defense of Masafumi spirit energy. It felt old, just as old as Genki. On the other hand, there was another power radiating from the inside. He wondered if he needed to go see Baton about this inner power.
Yusuke stopped in front of the doors leading to the outside. He looked at the clear reflection if any of him, then at Masafumi. There was his reflecting staring back at him. He did not even flinch at clearness of the window and no flection from Masufumi. He had a feeling the young man who was walking next to him was either a ghost or some other strange creature. He had his share of run-ins with monsters before. He knew there was evil afoot in this.
"And what are you thinking about?" Masafumi asked. He appeared to be very painful polite to Yusuke.
At first Yusuke was shocked. Even Kuwabara was not all the polite unless he was with his sister or Yukina. He blurted his answer out with a simple, "Nothing at all!"
"Are you sure…Master Yusuke?" Masafumi asked. There was a sad smile on Masafumi's lips. He knew Yusuke was hiding the truth. It was as Yusuke was playing a game of sorts with Masafumi. He wanted to draw Yusuke into a sense of a false hope before turning on him.
"Yea…" Yusuke said as he tried to bluff his way out of the situation. He was turning on his he-man attitude. "And why should I be not…" his grin was goofy.
"You are so sure?" Masafumi said before waiting for the doors to open.
"You have some idea where we are going?" Yusuke asked. He wanted to know where he was head for. He did not like the idea of being that far behind.
"Just a little further…that's all!" Masafumi said.
Yusuke could near taste a trap behind set up for him. He wished beyond all hope someone else, even Hiei would show up.
"Have seen any new films?" Masafumi asked as he heard the door open. He and Yusuke entered the outside. It was a very typical day. People were hurrying to wherever they were going. Cars and Trucks were on time. The birds where flying around. It seemed far too normal. Yusuke and Masafumi walked down the street with no reservation.
"No…I have been too busy with my life!" Yusuke sounded like he was just being a normal teen. He did have a busy life without his ghosting.
"I'm sorry to hear that…" Masafumi said. He noticed a little girl who was playing with a doll. He said, "You should have a normal and healthy life. People should have no real cares in the world!"
Yusuke nearly jumped ten feet into the air as he thought, "He sounds like Kurama a lot. This is getting weirder by the minute!"
Life did have a strange flavor to the day. It seemed like Kurama was in harmony as Yusuke. He did not have someone like Masafumi fooling him around. Instead, there was bad feeling that was having him all day in his mind. He had to go and find Yusuke. He knew Yusuke could be in danger. He wanted to prove himself wrong.
At the same time, Kurama was wlakign downm the street. He had a horrible feeling Yusuke was in danger. He coluld shake it off. He flet like Yusuke was calling him by the use of Teleitphjy. He foumnd Yusuke wlaking with Masafumi on the ther sdie of the steet. He calle d ouit to Yusuke, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?"
Yusuke fetl alittle surprseids to see Karama staring back at him. The red head smile and waved at Yusuke. Yusuke wiodnered if Karama ahd a ltitle too much sun for the day. He wanted to convey nay note of disstress. He knew it was all in vain bcause of Masafumi standing right necxt to him.
Then, yusuike whipped up a lie, "I'm going to the Pichono Palace…it's near here!"
Both Karama and Masafumi were surpsered a little. Yusuke did like to play once in a whiile, but he was more incluned to a westling match. Yusuke had an idea of concerrning Masafumi in a local gaming parolor and exposing him. He hoped it would work.
Karama glanced at Yusuke as he asked, "You want to have a thriud in the poarty!"
At first Yusuke did not want anyone to be getting themselves hooked up in this strange mess. Yet, to have a stroke of luck in his corner with Karama was not all that bad. He siad, "Yea…there is one just down the street!"
"That's fine, I'll met you there!"Karama said as he began to walk in the discreation of the gaming parlor. He noitced there was a strange aura surrounding Masafumi. It felt older than just a mere teen would own. This was an older soul trapped in such a young body. Karama was on his guard to protect Yusuke if Masafumi was going to attack the spirit detective.
"Who was that?" Masafumi asked with a curious glance at Yusuke.
"He's just a friend," Yusuke smiled, nearly laughing.
"A friend?" Masafumi questioned Yusuke.
"Yea…we met some time ago and he's nice…but different," Yusuke said as he cocked his head to one side with a smile. The two half humans became the best of friends from all the cases which they were involved with.
"Different?"
"He just different!" Yusuke shrugged. He knew Karama had two lives. It was not his way of getting into people's personal lives.
Masafumi took the idea of two people of different ideas and tried to figure them out in his mind.
The two entered the gaming parlor. the usual noise of machines greeted them as the doors opened. it seemed a little too normal for Yusuke, yet for Masafumi it was a strange new world. it seemed this creature calling itself Masafumi did not know there was another world outside of his own.
"I have a few bucks..." Yusuke shrugged for the second time as he checked out the machines at the middle isle.
"A few bucks?" Masafumi asked. He appeared to be from a wealth family in the style of his school uniform.
"Green backs...cash...you know money!" Yusuke said, tying to sound smarter than he was.
"Oh...the proper amount for the game?" Masafumi said, as he lacked on to the idea it took cash to run the machines.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Yusuke nodded. he walked over to a Pachinko machine and sat down. he had fished out a few colons from his jacket pocket. as the Pachinko machine sprang to life, Yusuke glanced over to Masafumi standing behind him. Masafumi was awe struck at the machine.
"What…" Yusuke said without looking at Masafumi. "You never saw this game before?"
"No…" Masafumi said as he watched as a row of silver balls were lining up on a tray. "My father was against it!"
"Your dad?" Yusuke asked. He wondered if his mother could be that tough in the opposite way of whet he was use to.
"My father was very strict. He was a great business man and did want any sort of dirt on my family tree!" Masafumi shrugged. This young man was using a quiet, toying of just giving the basic facts of his home life,
Yusuke was quick as he nodded slightly, "I wouldn't tell!"
"And I hope you can keep me under ground about coming here!" he said.
"What do you mean?" Yusuke asked. He felt like he was on a quiz show. If he would say the wrong things then, it would have been bad news for him.
"You have things that you wouldn't tell your own mother!" Masafumi asked. He was giving a loaded question to Yusuke. Masafumi looked serious plain and wan as he asked questioned about Yusuke. Yusuke felt he could trust his mother with most anything. There were times he could not.
"Your mother is the most important thing to you?" Yusuke asked. He did not know where this conservation was going.
"Yes…in a way…outside of my father!" Masafumi smiled weakly.
Yusuke thought, "Spoken like a good and dutiful son!" He was fishing for any sort of answers. He starting to have a feeling of Masafumi being more than human. The quiet, reserve young man could house a spirit of sorts. He need to confirm who Masafumi really was.
"What about you?" Masafumi asked. He found himself actually enjoying the game. The game was not all that bad.
Yusuke noticed Karama entering the room. he said to Masafumi, "I'll teach you on how to play...if you teach me on how to be super nice to a parent."
When Karama heard the statement coming from Yusuke's own mouth, he blanched a little. there was a smile playing on his lips as he wondered if Yusuke was becoming a little soft. he said, "You are going to do what?"
Yusuke felt a little out of place as he heard Karama's statement. he gasped with a wide eyed stare, "I just want to get my mom to realize that I do have a good heart!"
"And is that all?" Karama asked, with an raised eye brow. He was going to tease Yusuke on finding a new friend. The two exchanged a looking of goofy sarcasm.
"Yea…smart guy…" Yusuke huffed. He was going cool down just a wee bit until he noticed Masafumi studying a girl who was play Pachinko. She looked like any other high school girl who wanted to knock off a few hours from classes. He said rhaterly curiously, "You like that girl?"
"She's O.K." was all that Masafumi said.
It was plain to see in Yusuke's view point Masafumi was a spirit if that had to be plain and nomral. He was just needing a plain to leave or a place to stay. It was hard to figure out for Yusuke. Yusuke aksed, "You have a girl?"
"Well…sort of!" Masafumi said, blushing slightly. He did want ot spill out any of the details in such a public place.
"I don't date all that much myself!" Yusuke grined. He wodnered if Kekio was going ot use him as a punching bag if she ever found out Yusuke's statement about dating. In a way he was telling the truth.
"IIT's O.K. to wait anyways…is it?" Masafumi asked. He was making mental notes of the girl.
"It all depends!" he shuurrgeed.
"You have a friend who is a girl?"
Yusuke blushed a little as he tried to think. He did not l;ioke to be put o the spot Kekio was his firnedf for years. Even some people had spoke of his effection towards her. She was his calming force. He said, "Yea…she's in my classes at school…that';s all!"
"Oh…a fellow classmate, how convineune for you!" Masafumi smiled.
Yusuke knew where this converation was going. He had still heard the rumors of aranged dating and pssible marriages from others in his class. He did want to be thinking of htat at the preswent time. He was a spirit decevite outsideof being a semi-nomral student "Let's just drop this…" he siad as he looked around fdor a clock of any sort. He knew it was getitng late.
"Oh?" Masafumi said. His eyes changed. He was hitting all the right buttons with Yusuke in feeling out the sitatuaiton he was just setting up Yusuke to fall from.
"Yea…my mum was going to have few firiends over and they wanted to see me!" Yusuke lied through a half sloppy grin.
"And what you will do after yuou finsihed iwht your studies?"
Yusuke wanted to make uip anything that happened ot pop into his mind. He was going to get a hold of Botan to see what was going. He had to rethink that.
The next day, Yusuke had a little easlier this time when he went to classes. Jhe felt after he had left Masafumia in front a local gaming parlor, He could pick up where he had left off at his classes. He knew that Masafumi was a ghost in way oen or anotiher. He had a hard time in just figuing out. He wanted be sure of hus findings on this case.
He was walikng towards a local quick mart to get soemthing to eat. Hss mind was wonerering for no apparrent reason. He siad to hmself, "I'm just imaging things. There is nothing to this new assiem, metn from the kid!"
He looked up at a handbill taped onto a liogjht post. He read it carefully as the daily buzz was weill on it's way with the traffic. He noticed a small young girl standing with a large, pink, stuffed bear at her side. She could nt be more than three when the picutre was taken. Yusuke had to give himself a minite to think. Where in the world did he see her. Images of young girl who lived in the same apartment complex began to flood Yusuke's mind. The little girl was named Yume who was his neighbor. Her family had moved about a few months back. Now she is now missing.
"Why?" he asked him. He reached out to the picture of thr little girl and experience wihtr all of his senses the disappence of the little giel. He noitced a perons stnading in the back greound holding out a hand to take the little girl. The image was nort clear. He wnaeed tovbe sure, but not where he was at fore now. He had rto get a hold of someone wihrt a strong power to undo the flash of images which were hautning hinm now.
"What are you looking at?" a vioce asked him.
Yusuke froze which nearly casued him to stop brething. It was a minute or two before he had aksed."Who's there?"
"I said, 'what are you lookkiong at?'" a voice asked for a second time.
Yusuke turend to see Kuwamara standing next to him. He wondered for a just a second what was going on. For a minute, Yusuke could not speak. The images of a lost little girl hautned him deeply. He still have some issues with missing children who ended up as victons at the hands of madmen and monsters. In the few months of being a spirit dective, Yusuke had to change his mind on a few idea what was good and what was evil. He was turning pale as he finanly said, "There is a kid in my neighborhood She's lost!"
"Uh?" Kuwamara asked. He noticed Yusuke's face. He knew what raeally got under Yusuke's skin to bug his friend to virally to no end.
"She's had been lost for at least a week. Here's her picture!" he pointed to the poster on the telephone pole. He wanted to be sure he could remmber her face if she did show up back in the neighborhood. Yusuke wanted to give himself time to think. that was not an option for him. the final image of the little girl was herself being trapped into a corner of an alley that she could not get out of. Her felt sickly cold as he watched as the little girl had huddled herself into a ball with her stuffed toy in her arms. She let out a scream of terror as she collapsed onto the ground. Then, he gasped with his eyes fixed wide opened.
Kuwamara asked as he tried to get Yusuke's attention, "Hey…Urameshi…what's wrong?"
"I have been touched by someone who has high spirit powers and properly doesn't know how to use it yet!" Yusuke said.
Knowing the situation appeared to be very dire, but it could be a slim save, Kuwamara said,"You need to talk to Koenma. He might have a lead on Yume."
"I have no idea where she is at?" Yusuke sighed deeply. he let his mind relax for just a minute.
"Are you sure about her?" Kuwamara asked,
"Not even the faintness...she was kidnapped by a demon, that's all!" Yusuke reflected on what little information he was given by Botan.
Puu was with Keiko. it was pretty usual for the two to pair up like they did. Keiko thought of Puu as gentle creature. She was often to like cute and fuzzy creatures. Puu was no expectation. She carried Puu around with nearly every day. Keiko stopped at a local quick mart to pick up a box of laundry soap. Her mother was doing some extra cleaning when she had ran out the soap. She asked Keiko to make a run for her before heading off to the library.
She was going to be the first to admit to Yusuke, that Puu was cuter, but a very power creature. She was carrying Puu to the store with her. She wanted to make sure to be safe. There was talk about missing children as old as sixteen. She knew there was a dark force using the idea of taking the children, but for what propose. It made her head swim.
Puu was riding in Keiko's backpack. It was a nice and warm evening. Keiko was not noticing anything out of the norm. she hoped to get back home fast. She had a few extra credit assignments to finish out. She knew if she worked hard enough she could get a better college to enter after she got done with high school.
Keiko found her way to the store. She saw a couple of students from another after school hang out in the front. She knew they were from another high school. It was a Saturday and kids were just haidngn out on the late afternoon with nothing to do.
"Nothing to do!" she thought. "Must be nice!"
"Puu?" Puu asked. He had been riding in the net bag of Keiko's book bag.
"What?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder.
"Puu?" Puu had felt a strange sense of change. He was not sure what to make out of the sense he was experience in his mind. It was like getting a great deal of stacking up in his mind.
"Are you hungry?" she asked, smiling at her little stowaway.
"Puu?" Puu asked again before thinking about his stomach.
"I'll get you some seeds when I get the soap!" she smiled.
At the same time, Karama was finishing out his homework. He had been home bound He had been talking to Botan with the interlink between spirit world and human world. Typing away at the keyboard to his laptop, he had lost track of time until he got a buzz on his laptop He could see the email symbol at right hand corner of the laptop screen. On opening the icon, Karama took mental notes on what Botan was about to speak of.. Botan was sitting at unknown location. She was careful on the location. There were humors of an underworld gang who flirted with the spirit world. The two had a live link between spirit world and the human world.
"What is that you need help in?" Karama asked, he had not left his bedroom while he talked to Botan. he had a call from Yusuke about the missing little girl. he felt like he was being set up. time was standing still. Where was Baton?
"Yes. This little girl might have hidden powers like Yusuke. I think she could be another spirit detective like Yusuke, but..." Botan said. She received a file of Yume's life. When she looked at a picture of a little brown eyed four year old with a shy smile, Botan felt an enormous foreboding of what could happen to Yume.
"I remember the battle between Elder Toguro and Yusuke. It was the begin of the long road to Dark tournament. Since then there are pop up of strange occurrences. Hidden powers in young children seem to attract the wrong type of element." Karama sighed, feeling like the world was being closed off from normalcy.
"I know Korma had a couple of scouts looking into Yume's life. It seems like the underworld has the same plans. I need to know if there are leeks in the system or is there the same amount of dedication in the battle between good and evil."
'Yet...if Yume does not know about her powers. It might pose as a problem of control and strength,"
Time was limited to the point, Yusuke need to find any clue in a short amount of time. If the underworld find a way of harnessing Yume, then things looked bleak.
At another part of the the city, Yusuke had wondered when he had seem what was unfolding in front of him. For a minute or two, reverting was normal. Kuwamara was with him and as usual, he was talking about his latest CD.
Everything was just too normal. Yusuke looked at a shop window for a possible lead. There was a poster and a display on the latest anime. He smirked at the display, "It figures…the new show is a girly one…" he took note on the display of the brightly coloured poster with a group of teenage girls dressed in school uniforms and a princess who was dressed a long formal which was glowed silver. Then, a figure walked past him. He noticed at first as it reflected on the store front widow as a little girl wearing a pink and yellow dress. Her hair was pulled back with a large sunflower hair clip.
"What the...?" he gasped, watching as the little girl who was now walking past him. The girl had the same in appearance to his neighbor. He turned to call her attention, but found she was not there. It was like girl was a ghost of sorts when she instantaneously disappeared. He stood there with his mouth hung open.
Kuwamara wondered what was Yusuke looking at. He asked, "Wha'ya looking at Urameshi?"
"I thought I saw someone!" Yusuke gapsed, he tired to remind cool at the possible finding a ghost who only appeared in shop windows.
Kwuamara stared at Yusuke for a minute before glance around. Noticing no one was there. Kuwamara questioned Yusuke , "Are you sure?"
"I'm tired…I think my mind is playing tricks on me!" Yusuke sighed. He kenw life was getting a little bit nutty after doing so much work for both his job and school. He wodnered he needed to slow down a little.
"I feel the same. Those idotic tests at midterms are getting both of us down! Yet, i had a wierd feeling too" Kwuamara sighed. He placed a hand into a pants pocket to find some loose change to go and get a drink.
"What are you looking for?" Yusuke asked. He wathced as Kwuamara fished out a few coint from his pocket. Here was a stillness that ate at Yuske. he wanted to run and find someone to beat up on just for kicks. The two found a soda machine which sat near a book store.
"I'm a little dry…you want anything?" Yuske asked. He glanced at a display window of local drinks.
"I am not all that thristy, but I would lile to have a lttle coffee!" Kwuamara uttered as he turend his head to get a better look at the selection of drinks.
Karama was on the same block. He was finsihed with the homework. The library to return the books he borrowed was next on his list. He had been with a couple of girls who were with him after school. They were hoping to get things started before monthly exams. It was getting close to the end of the term. He was going to help them with a few classes. One of the girls…a young shy borwn hair mosey kind l asked, "Do you get scared of being tested all the time?"
"I have nothing to really fear!" Karama sighed. He wondered why was this mousy girl questioning him, a fox demon. Not only an intelligence creature, but he was a great manager of his time between school and part of team Urameshi.
"Are you sure?" another girl asked. She was small, shy and wore her brown hair in short pony tail. She smiled slight at Karama.
"Sometimes I don't know everything, but I usually could figure it out after I study ti. I need to learn everyday the stuff the teacher wants me to learn!" Karama smiled back. Then, he noticed Yusuke and Kuwamara when the three crossed paths as Karama and the two girls were entering the library. Yusuke had been looking at newspaper on the last time Yume was seen.
Yusuke glanced at the girls. They could have been twins on their appearance. He did wondered if the girls were going to be next. He thought a little deeper as the two girls exchanged a smile. The girls seemed to be miles away from anything that he would have to deal with. He had walked over where Karama was standing at. He and Karama exchanged their greetings with cautious glances. Yusuke had wished for the tools he had when he was just starting off as a spirit detective. Most of them, he really did not need them right now. His inner powers and long days with Genkai spend in training he sharpened him to the breaking point of being high-level fighter.
"What are you two thinking about!" Yusuke thought in his mind. He realized by the spirit energy that they were not normal. A force he had known all too well was controlling them. Yet, he could not feel who was behind it.
"What would like in your coffee?" Karama asked. He was not lead the girls on with the idea a possible killer roaming around the city, looking for victims.
"I would like to have some caramel cream...something very sweet!" Yusuke uttered slowly. he tried to get a read on the girls. an unknown source was forcing him away. he realized when he stepped close to the perimeter of the girls, Yusuke felt an electrical jolt. he glanced down at his left shoe. There were tiny sparks dancing across his foot. Karama noticed that as well.
"I'm going to get the coffee, Yusuke. I'll be back in a minute," Karama said as he turned to leave. There was no response from Yusuke, Karama knew Yusuke was trying protect himself and the redheaded Fox boy.
One of the girls asked as she turned, "Did you say coffee?" she had over heard Yusuke and Karama talking about getting a coffee.
Then, a monstrous black vine shot out of her stomach. Karama realized who it was. The mousy girl who was asking him questions. Was this some sort of wicked twisted trap to get him and Yusuke? There was no time for it. Yusuke paused his left hand, preparing himself for a spirit guy blast.
The other girl screamed as she stared at wild disbelief. What was she seeing for the first time. She had thought the mousy girl was like her, a human. Then, it was the mousy girl became a spirit of confusion. The powers she was holding began to go after both Yusuke and Karama.
Karama instantly dashed over to the second girl. He grabbed her and said, "Come on."
Yusuke was annoyed with the second girl's screams. "WILL YOU SHUT UP!" he yelled as he instantly letting a ball of spirit energy go from his fingers. "SHOT GUN!" it was like someone or something had kicked on his natural instinct was going out of whack.
"Calm yourself!" Karama hushed as he got the girl to safety. He glanced at her with a quizzical eye. He knew she was all human, but was under a spell from the first. He was used to having seen this position of a host body before. Then, he felt her collapse from a bad case of nervous. Her fear drove her to the point of passing out. The second girl was not a real girl at all. It was like ehs was made from something of the spirit world. The two bodies had split into two seaptate bodies. Both Karama and Yusuke wathced as the two bodies grwe apart from each oher. The engery from the split was too intence for Karama as he threw the body down as the girl went in one discreatoin as a monster arreapred into the air. Karama gaspaed, "What the….?"
"Holy crap!" was Yuauke's stunned reaction to the split.
"What in the heck?" Karama said.
"You have no idea what I can do!" the creature emging from the girl hissed very carefully.
"Care to have a bet….that I don't give a crap about you?" Yuskue growled. He was going to make sure aobut the girl and her saftey.
The mousy girl;s mental powers had picked up a great deal. Her goal was going to put the hurt on the seocnd girl to drain her life engry.
There was a quick, sharp looks exchanged from Yusuke and Karama about getiting the girls away from the monster. Yuskue had to grab one girl as Karama lifted the seocnd girl up off the ground. It was like she was a ragdoll. There was no real weight to her. Was she a puppet like another time when another creature had posed as a human and neally tricked him inot a trap. He did not have time for aksing too many questions.
To was so fast, when Yuskue and Karama made their ways to the other side of the street, the second girl was either unconscdoius or too stunned to speak. Karama went to one side of the street while Yusuke went to the other. Yusuke held the second girl as she was staring to wake up. Karama went over to where Yusuke to give him the unconscious girl.
Meanwhile, the monster who came from the suspect's body was now floating in midair. It looked around to see where Yusuke and Karama where at.
The girl who was with Yusuke was starting to wake up. At the same time, Keiko was alone as she walked up toward the corner where Yusuke was standing with the second girl slung over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes. They both rounded the corner as the girl was starting to wake up. Keiko was startled to see Yusuke carrying a strange girl like a sack of potatoes. She gasped with a sour look on her face, "What are you doing with another girl?"
Yusuke gasped as he tried to piece an answer together, "Well….hi Keiko. How are you?
"What?" she hissed loudly. Her face began to red with anger. She wondered what was Yusuke doing with another girl. Why was she unconscious on Yusuke's shoulder. Keiko was not happy as she nearly deiced him with a quick and sharp throw.
"Whoa!" he gasped as he began to back away from her. "Hold your horses. What's up with you!"
"I should be asking you the same question!" Keiko growled. She knew Yusuke had a job, but he never had a roaming eye for the ladies. It took her a minute to figure out that Yusuke could be playing around. Keiko asked with a glare,"What are you doing with her?".
"Oh...her?" Yusuke panicked a little with a forced grin. The girl was now fully awake and did not want to further Yusuke's problem, but in the same light she wanted to know what had happened to herself.
"Yes her?" Keiko was as firm as a rock.
"Well…" he gulped loudly. His heart was racing over hundred as he tried to make up something sort of excuse.
Then, if by fate, Karama said as he approached the three "She's OK.? What about the girl you have?"
Keiko was about to hit Yusuke in the face with a punch, but she glanced at Karama who was questioning Yusuke.. Keiko glanced at Karama. .She was surprised to see the second girl so visibly shaken after Yusuke helped her get back on her feet.. What was going on with the whole scene.
"If I can explain to you Keiko…maybe you can a clearer picture of what had just happened?" Karama said with a calm voice,.
"I wish you could!" she sighed. She knew it was getting over her head with the talking. "You have a better understanding what is going with this!"
"And you could leave….I have some unfinished business to attend to!" Yusuke said as he glanced at the girl.
