Gaster and Sans are teaching Papyrus how to use shortcuts, and he's doing extremely well. But when he gets excited and starts thinking about showing his girlfriend, Frisk, what he can now do, things go hilariously wrong. Just a silly little oneshot set in the Hopes, Dreams, And DETERMINATION universe, but it can be read alone.

Once again, the child goes to begin it all again, and finds the universe has had enough. When SAVE and RESET fail, and the earth chooses a new fallen child, a good father gets the chance to be free...and, of course, a sh*t ton of incredibly improbable (and usually traumatic/toothy) things try and stop him. A kid falls down a vast chasm into the deep, and is set upon by countless monsters eager to murder whoever falls down and claim their souls. Somehow, this child is the villain in your story.

Sans is afraid to dance, Papyrus is worried, and frisk want to dance with him at least once. The rest of the family is happy to help.

DIRECT SEQUEL TO "PATCHWORK SOUL" — A few months later. A family of monsters and their little human kid try to start life anew beyond the confines of a giant mountain. Maybe they find something. Maybe they lose something. Time flows ever onwards, but sometimes it goes sideways, and it's heavier than they thought.
