Aizawa despised events like these, and his boss knew it. Sure, he had expelled this entire year of hero students, but he was more than justified. Now, he was forced to show up at this party as UA's representative. Taking a long sip of his champagne, his eyes searched the crowd. Most of the attendees were business owners looking to invest in hero schools, along with a few heroes... wait was that- oh fuck no!

"Shōta!" The head of green hair barrelled into him, receiving a long sigh from the black haired man. "Marry me!" Emi Fukukado, better known as Ms Joke, shouted.

"No"

"But you know you-" The hero was cut off as the air in the room shifted, a soft rattling sounding from the skyscraper's windows. The room fell into silence before...

With a loud crash the windows shattered, in their place, a red and black swirling disk of energy appearing. A few tense moments passed, before a creature stumbled out of the portal. It was humanoid in shape, though its human features had mostly faded. Its pale skin outlined its bones, as if severely malnutrition. No emotion was present beneath its eyes, and a pentagram was engraved upon its head.

Before the creature got a chance to act, Aizawa's scarf was around its body, and his foot met its face. The monster hit the floor, yet continued to thrash within its binding. Aizawa prepared to question it, but was cut off as the portal pulsed with energy, more creatures beginning to pour out.

Aizawa let out a grunt of effort as he dodged another plasma shot, glancing to the side, he watched as several monsters stood back up. No matter how much he attacked them, the creatures seemed incapable of being knocked unconscious.

Just as he reached for his caltrops, the portal came to live once again. This time however, it was not one of the monsters that emerged. Clad in only a pair of damaged shorts, the figure that dropped from the portal evoked a strange terror in the back of Aizawa's mind.

At first, he appeared to be a young adult, no more than 20. However, the look in the man's eyes told Aizawa he had lived far longer than that. With his presence, the villains (though at this point Aizawa doubted that was accurate) paused, and began to treble as they observed the newcomer.

Finally, one monster gathered the courage to charge forwards, claw raised to strike. For a moment, green lightning sparked around the young man, before he vanished in an instant. Just as quickly as he left, he reappeared behind his assailant, hand piercing through their chest.

Once again, the room broke out into chaos, though now the intruders' attention was focused entirely on the green haired man. Sparking with green lightning, the man dashed into the horde, explosions of gore following his every movement.

Tearing through the monsters, he reached a dead security guard and wrenched the pistol from the corpse's hand. Several shots rang out from the gun, piercing straight through the creatures' heads.

Breathing heavily with exhaustion, Aizawa stared down the figure, and the corpses of the monsters around him. Throughout the fight, Aizawa had been observing the man. His quirk was some form of super-strength, which seemed to have limited uses. Every time he threw a punch, he would get slower, yet when he killed one of the creatures, he would get faster again.

"Stand down, you're under arrest." Activating his quirk, Aizawa tossed his capture weapon, wrapping it around the figure. Despite the lack of quirk, the blood soaked man braced himself, then wrenched to the side, sending Aizawa flying into the bar.

Now with free access to his quirk, the man sprinted towards the shattered windows and leapt from the building.

"Numerous reports of monsters appearing around Japan have surfaced over the past few weeks. It is clearly not the work of a quirk, however experts have yet to find the source of these creatures. Police commissioner Toshinori Yagi has asked people to stay indoors until the cause of the attacks is found-"

The screen shut off as a paw pressed against a remote, the room falling into silence. "What do we do now?" A blonde man spoke up, his colleagues all looking towards the hero at the end of the table.

"I doubt there is a correct answer to that question. Endeavor has already refused my request to join forces. He believes he can handle the situation by himself. I've been unable to find a pattern in the attacks, and the monsters possess no clear weaknesses."

Taking a sip of his tea, Nezu opened something on his tablet. "However, I do believe I have a lead. A warehouse in Hosu was being occupied by the monsters, inside, they were storing this." Turning his tablet around, the teachers saw a photo of a suit of armour, unlike any they had ever seen.

"They did not seem capable of using it, instead, it seemed as if they did not want it to be in someone else's hands."

"The man from the first demon attack."

"It would seem that way. I have managed to convince the authorities to allow us to keep the armour, I believe it may be the key to understanding our situation."

"Master, there's something you should see. The portal opening process was a complete success, however something... impossible interrupted the first attack. I'm sending you the footage from the building's security."

Silence filled the bald man's office as he awaited the man on the other side of the phone, the quiet only broken by the sound of slow, heavy breathing.

"It can't be." His master finally spoke, the rare sound of surprise within his voice. "That man, tell me he's not..."

"I'm afraid so, sir. Unless my memory fails me, he is identical to the boy you sent through the first portal."

"That was a hundred and fifty years ago doctor. He showed no sign of quirk activity so why-" Pausing in thought, the ancient man sighed. "This reeks of Yoichi. You may return to your business doctor, I must... relieve some stress."

"Of course, sir."

Within an abandoned warehouse, a well dressed man placed down his phone. A mangled hand scratched at the burns across the right side of his face. Another hand trailed to his ribs, the eternally bruised skin a reminder of that hero's powerful kicks. Across his back, numerous points lit up with pain, as if those crimson feathers still pierced his skin.

"Damn you Endeavour, and your animal friends as well. And you Yoichi, you just had to oppose me. But you... you are the one I hate the most. For daring to come back after all this time..." The half burnt man stared at the screen, displaying a massacred horde of demons.

"Izuku Midoriya."

Author's notes:

So I was going to write another chapter of 'The Fool's journey to heroics' this week. Then that didn't happen, and I did this instead.

The only real thing I'd like to clarify is that, for my sanity and so that people don't have to read 50 wiki pages, I will be majorly simplifying Doom lore, as I don't feel it would fit into this story.

With that said, I hope you enjoyed.
