"There's going to be a world conference today!" The Yutakan Republic said happily as she made her way to the hall "I can't wait for everybody to try my pasta! I was up real late last night making sure it was perfetto!"

But when she got to the hall, the 8 other countries that had bothered to show up were all bickering with each other. It made Yutaka feel a little intimidated.

The Hiyorin Fifth Republic was trying to explain to the United Kingdom of Konata that her food was beautiful and she should just give up because no matter how hard she tried, any piece of food, even a mere morsel of it, would always taste bad whenever she would cook.

"So you see–" Hiyori explained.

"I DON'T SEE A THING," Konata angrily interrupted "MY COOKING IS WAY BETTER THAN YOUR SLOB!"

"They are bickering again over food," the People's Republic of Misao lamented. "Well, it's a good thing my instant rice paper is just as tasty as any Cassoulet or Toad-in-the-hole!"

"I wouldn't be so certain," the Miyukin Federation said as she sneaked up behind Misao creepily "I quite like my Blini more than Chow Mein, too spicy"

"It's always too spicy for you Miyuki, you're used to cold foods or soups" Misao retorted.

"What was that?" Miyuki asked in a slightly threatening manner.

"AAAH!" Misao screamed "N-Nothing aru"

Miyuki smiled "That's good"

"Um, excuse me Ms. Miyuki" the State of Minami began timidly. "can we please have our islands back?" She asked.

Minami got no response, but secretly she was glad she didn't.

"HEY, MINAMI!" the United States of Patricia yelled suddenly. "So, when am I gonna get your new console dude?"

"What? We're not even done with our current console, we probably won't start planning a new one until next year!" Minami retorted

"Wow, everyone's become so hostile again," Yutaka said in surprise. "it's just like that time we were all at war with each other"

"Oh Yutaka, mi hermana! I haven't seen you in ages! The Kingdom of Ayano said as she ran up to Yutaka "Want some churros?" She said as she presented a plate of 12 neatly placed churros.

"Oh, um, I don't know, I really just wanted to eat pasta" Yutaka tried to explain, but her voice was drowned by a cacophony of the other countries' voices.

All of this noise was irritating another country. "EVERYONE SHUT UP!" the Federal Republic of Kagami yelled at the top of her voice, startling everyone. "We called this conference to solve the world's problems, not to fight over lunch and dinner! Now I believe Yutaka wanted to begin, go ahead"

"Yay!" Yutaka squealed loudly "I brought some pasta for you all!"

"Pasta again?" Kagami sighed irritably. "Yutaka, you can't just keep bringing in pasta all the time, why not bring some Pizza, or some Venetian biscuits next time?"

But at this point Yutaka wasn't listening; she gave everyone some pasta and they all enjoyed it. Even Kagami, who needed some prompting from Ayano to eat it. "Yutaka, forget what I said earlier, this pasta is wunderbar!" Kagami said with a smile and a twinkle in her voice.

"I know right!" Yutaka shouted gleefully. "I pulled an all-nighter working on it!"

"Their friendship is still as strong as ever" Ayano commented.

"I know," Miyuki chimed in. "it reminds me somewhat of the great patriotic war"

"Definitely," Konata agreed "but you really don't need to call it that"

"YO DUDES, THIS SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE IS AMAZING!" Patricia yelled, mispronouncing bolognese along the way, though no one dared correct her lest she burst into a Miyuki-like sense of terror. It probably also didn't help that it wasn't even bolognese.

"You don't have to be so loud" Minami timidly said, of course, knowing the risks of enraging a superpower. Once again, no one heard her.

After finishing their meal, Kagami spoke up. "now, does anyone remember what this conference is about?" She asked.

There was a long silence.

"I forgot!" Everyone but Kagami said in unison.

"Damn" Kagami said irritably, today was going to be a long day.
