I got this little what-if scenario in my head and decided to give it a shot and post it here to see how it goes.

Apologize in advance for my poor English grammar and spelling.

Flames scorched the devastated metropolis. As the thick, dark smoke soared into the cloudy sky, shouting echoed across the once-rich city known for its beauty and advanced technology. People screamed as they tried to escape the fire and the collapsing buildings. Not too far, several explosions detonated throughout the crumbling city. A heavily depleted army attempted to halt the invasion with all its might and urgency, but it wasn't easy. Despite the invaders numbering in measly five people, the cursed aliens were too strong. By losing many lives in the process, they managed to kill two. However, that only ignited the invader's fury.

"Sir! The enemy's progress is slowing! They seem heavily wounded, and their strength depleted!"

A giant, reptilian creature stood at the edge of a barely standing building and observed the battle from above. "It's time! Release the Crimson Knights! Let them taste blood after being locked for two decades!" His booming voice echoed over the area.

Meanwhile, a young man shouted on the battlefield as he leaped over a soldier and kicked the enemy while still in the air. As the soldier fell to the ground, the teen-looking male cried out as the pain surged through his body. Blood dripped from his hand while the red ooze slowly slid down his bruised cheeks. His long, black hair swayed around as he looked left and right. He was looking for someone, but no matter how hard he searched for them, he couldn't find them. Intense fear and panic began to take hold of the young warrior, who clenched his teeth tightly as more enemies surrounded him.

Sweat rolled down his temple as he glared at the newly arrived soldiers. Something was different about them. The look in their eyes and posture gave off a dangerous feeling. Despite that, the teenager closed his fists tightly and released a battle cry. He zapped toward them, ready to get rid of them like the rest, but this time it was different. His strike hit the ground instead of the enemy. He wasn't even allowed to look up when a heavy blow from the back sent him stumbling forward. Blood poured out of his mouth as he tried to stop himself; however, a strike from below caused him to float in the air. He slightly opened his eyes and saw a burly reptilian above him. All he could was watch as the massive fist hit his forehead.

The young man slammed against the rough ground and cried as the pain was too much too bare. Slowly, he pulled himself up and tried his best to ignore the pain. The wounded warrior stepped back as the crazed soldiers rushed at him. He ducked, thus avoiding a sharp blade sticking out of the soldier's gauntlet. The teen swiftly rose and caught the enemy by the crimson sash tied tightly around the soldier's waist. He spun around and released the hold a few seconds later. As the soldier crashed into other men, the young warrior lifted his arm toward the black sky. A violet energy swirled around his muscular arm as an orb materialized above his palm. Once he gathered enough power, he lowered the bruised arm and fired a ki blast.

Such an attack caused the ground to tremble. The long-haired teen almost fell but managed to remain composed. He ran away while the enemy was disoriented and lost in the smoke. The tall teen struck down the weaker soldiers that got in his way, but even doing so was extremely painful. Sweat and blood combined and blew off his face as he ran fast, hoping to find a good hiding place. Suddenly, he spotted a tilted building in the corner of his eye. He changed directions and propelled himself toward the damaged building.

As he got inside, he rushed upstairs and found a spot where he could see everything. "D-Dammnit! That hideous freak set us up! No way this isn't an Elite level mission!" The teen leaned against the wall and tried to catch some air.

"And, of course, Vegeta accepted the mission without regard to anyone but himself!"

The young warrior winced and cried as he took off the damaged armor. A piece of it got stuck into his abdomen. He seized the little bit and pulled it out. As he tossed the thing away, the teen clenched his teeth and squeezed his hands tightly. He could feel the darkness slowly corrupt his vision, but he didn't allow it.

"No! I can't black out! If I do, then it's over; I'm dead!"

He shook his head and slapped his cheeks to remain awake. Suddenly a giant explosion illuminated the whole area, forcing the teen to close his weary eyes. "Nappa... It must be him! So he's still here and alive! I-I must go there and regroup!" However, the moment he tried to stand, the darkness consumed him.

"N-No! I-I can't lose consciousness! I-I must go to them or... I'll be alone..."

His shaky arm reached the doorframe, and he pulled himself inside. Each step he made seemed like agony. He wanted to scream, even cry, as his entire body ached. But he couldn't do it. He would get found, defeated, and killed if he raised his voice. Despite being a prideful warrior, he was terrified of facing death. He would do anything to avoid that, no matter the cost. Perhaps, it was that reasoning that halted his progress while Vegeta soared higher and higher. He didn't dwell on it as he didn't want to think about it. The teen pulled his body down the staircase and almost fell after missing a stair. He held tightly to the fence and stared with vacant eyes at the darkness.

"N-No. In this state, I won't be able to reach them! I should go to our pods! Once there, I'll activate the emergency protocol and recuperate there for a bit..."

The warrior dragged himself to the second exit and carefully peeked out to see if anyone was outside. He leaned back as a squadron passed by, but luckily no one noticed him. The teen's weary eyes saw a dead soldier with slightly damaged armor and a helmet lying on the ground. He extended his leg forward and pulled the corpse inside the building. The young male took the armor and the helmet and donned the enemy's attire in hopes no one would recognize him.

Staggering, he walked across the destroyed metropolis. The survivors that passed by paid no attention to him; after all, they tried to escape the hellfire. His pained grunts were able to be heard with each step he made. Flames reflected on the helmet as he approached the fire. He lifted his only working arm and fired a kiai, sufficient enough to create a safe path for him to cross.

After an eternity, he managed to get to the space pods. A weak smile surfaced before he collapsed on the ground. "Just a little bit more!" He raised his hands and dragged himself across the floor while the helmet fell off his head and rolled away.

As he slowly made his way to the pods, he was grateful they landed only a few miles from the city. He wondered how his companions were doing. Despite the turbulent relationship between them, a part of him didn't want them dead. After all, only three of them are all that's left of their mighty race.

He despised them; they often mocked him regarding his born status and strength. The urge to beat them up and kill them all was there and so powerful. He often dreamt of celebrating their fall by stomping and shattering their bones. However, he knew he couldn't do anything to them from the beginning. They were right; he was a low-class weakling lucky enough to be off-planet when the tragedy occurred. No matter how much he tried, his attempts to grow would get met with ridicule.

And yet, here he was, wondering if the last of his race were still alive. "Pathetic! Instead of being in control, I'm letting my emotions rule over me! I'm a ruthless Saiyan warrior! I can't feel!" As he reached the pod, he rose and punched the top violently.

The small gate lowered on the ground, and he could finally enter. He dropped his body into the tiny seat and felt at ease. The teen lifted his hand and typed on the panel. Suddenly, the pod came to life, and the lights turned on. An oxygen mask and several other components lowered from a small compartment above the warrior's head. He took hold of the mask and the other things and put it on his body.

Finally, he was able to breathe correctly. The pain was still there, but the painkillers were about to kick in. He kept his eyes closed as the suffering slowly started to fade. Only a couple of minutes and he would go back to the battlefield. He just needed a little rest for the drugs to take effect. Otherwise, he would be in the way, and the last thing he wants to hear from his companions is how useless he is.

The warrior's face seemed more relaxed now. He mumbled several words as he dozed off. He was dreaming of his home and what it could have been. In the dream, he proudly walked down the street. Alongside him was a shorter, wild-haired warrior who resembled him a bit. A woman greeted them with a warm smile as they approached a house. He tried to push her off as he felt embarrassed to hug her. As he looked past the table with cut meat, he saw a stern-looking man with a scar on his left cheek. The teen was about to open his mouth and inform the man of his latest conquest when suddenly, the ground started to tremble. He didn't even have time to look elsewhere when the ground beneath his feet collapsed. The warrior fell in and cried out for help, but the figures on top just stood there until a bright light made them disappear.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes and instantly removed the mask. His breathing was out of control. He tried to figure out what that dream was about, but loud shouting forced his attention elsewhere. He looked outside and saw his bald companion flying.

"Nappa! And he's carrying Vegeta!? That's not good!"

And he was correct, as a battalion was just behind his bald companion. "Crap! I must do something. Otherwise, they'll catch up to him!" The teen forced himself out of the pod and lifted his right arm.

He fired a barrage of ki blasts at the enemies pursuing his companions. Some of him considered returning to the pod and escaping while there was still time. Those two would get what they deserved, but he didn't. Was it out of fear or loyalty? Probably both. However, in the end, he remained here and tried to help. His attacks barely slowed down the enemy troops, but it was enough for Nappa to gain distance and safely land.

"Open the pod!"

He was already on that. The teen opened the other pod, and by the time his bald companion approached, the door was on the ground. He shifted his attention to the approaching army and resumed firing at them while Nappa seated the prince inside and attached everything to Vegeta.

"Get into your pod! We're going to the nearest planet with medical help! Those bastards hurt him badly!"

The young male wanted to see the condition of the flame-haired prince but opted not to since there was no time. He dragged himself back to the pod and pressed the buttons on the panel. As the engines came to life, the enemy bombardment started. The teen growled as the explosions shook the pod, which needed some time to blast off. He cursed loudly as a blast hit the pod and caused sparks to fly inside. While the injured warrior tried to protect his eyes from the sparks, the space pod finally blasted high into the sky. He could see the other two pods right before him, but instead of increasing speed like the rest, his pod steadily started to lose it.

"No, no, no! What's going on with you!? Go faster!"

No matter how much he yelled, the space pod continued to fly at a slow speed. "Ugh! It can't be happening! You piece of junk!" Consumed by anger, the teen smashed his heavy fist against the panel.

"Alert! Detected heavy damage to the haul! Initiating emergency protocol! Change of destination activated!"

He froze. That was the last thing he wanted to hear. "Destination changed to the nearest habitable planet..." Abruptly, the robotic voice disappeared, leaving the warrior fuming angrily and consumed by fear.

"When I get a chance, I'll sell you on some remote planet for parts!"

The youngster punched the wall repeatedly until he realized it would be best to stop. He leaned back and shut his eyes. The pain started to reemerge, and that wasn't good. He needed to reach the other planet as soon as possible. However, he knew it would take longer, thanks to the damage inflicted on his pod. He scoffed at that. Something like this always happened to him, never to Nappa or Vegeta. No wonder others kept their distance from him besides being low-class. He closed his eyes and drifted asleep while the pod slowly traveled to the nearest planet.

"Humph, at least I won't see their arrogant mugs for a bit... That's worth going through this."

.

A noise from the outside and constant shaking woke the teen from his deep sleep. The moment he opened his eyes, he could feel the tremendous pain. He was surprised the pain didn't wake him up from his sleep. However, he shifted his attention when he noticed the pod entering a massive asteroid field. He grabbed tight onto the edges of the seat and could only stare at the giant rocks floating around him.

"Alert! Danger! Sustained damage! Not safe for traveling! Recommending immediate exit!"

Despite how much it hurt, he had had enough of it and kicked the panel. "Ahh! Screw you! I've always hated space pods!" Their small frame and lack of manual controls were atrocious.

The teen couldn't do anything. It was either accepting death or hoping for a miracle. He shut his eyes tightly as the pod barely flew under a rock. However, his troubles didn't end there. A medium-sized meteor came hurling into him and hit the pod. The young man tried to hold tight as the pod swirled around. He shouted as the object struck almost all the rocks in the way. As time passed, he could feel the grip of death around his throat, ready to take him to hell.

"L-Losing power... P-Prepare for l-l-landing..."

He couldn't help but wonder where he was supposed to land when his eyes caught a glimpse of a small world surrounded by floating rocks. "Just go there already before it's too late!" As he screamed, the pod flew toward the little world, penetrating the floating stones.

The pod finally emerged from the asteroid field and spiraled toward the planet. After sustaining so much damage, the engine in the pod eventually died. The object swirled around as it breached the world's atmosphere. After a few minutes, the falling thing crashed into the ground, causing a loud noise. Rocks buried the pod, but the young warrior broke the door and pulled himself out of the ruble. He allowed his body to fall as he needed some air. Looking up, he noticed the yellow sky without a single cloud. He looked elsewhere and forced himself into a nearby cave. Each movement hurt like hell, but he had to hide from any possible threat.

After entering the cave, the teen dropped on the cool floor and leaned against the wall. "Where the hell am I!? How am I going to leave this rock!? I'll check the pod tomorrow; I need to rest..." He closed his eyes and fell asleep without knowing that strange-looking beasts lurked around the cave.

The youngster managed to get good six hours of sleep. He got woken up by the sun's rays breaching through the hole in the cave. Slowly, he rose from the ground and stumbled forward. His injuries still hurt, but if he wanted to patch them up, he needed to go out there and gather resources. As he stepped outside, he lifted a hand and shielded his eyes. It was so bright and hot. The teen instantly removed the borrowed suit and walked in his black briefs.

While his tail waved behind his back, the long-haired warrior walked through the rocky wasteland, wondering how vast it was. He began to float and slowly and carefully flew to the top of a mountain. The man looked shaky, expected, considering his shape. As he reached the top, he landed and looked around. Nothing but a rocky valley with countless holes and green grass patches in it for miles. He wondered what was the deal with that and decided to inspect it.

Since he didn't have enough power, the youngster walked toward the nearest patch of grass. "Tch! Maybe I should've checked the pod first... Then again, I can gather some herbs and apply them to my wounds." On his way there, he felt a slight tremor, but since it was harmless, the warrior ignored it.

He stood at the edge of a cliff and observed the green ground. Without wasting any time, he slid down and walked across it. "Hm, what's this!? It doesn't feel like grass. It's soft and fluffy!?" He crouched and squeezed the strange ground.

Suddenly, an intense rumbling started. The long-haired male immediately rose and wondered what was happening, only to see spider-like creatures surround him. "What the hell!? Those ugly bugs look quite hungry..." Sweat slid down his temple as he nervously observed the beasts.

However, his nervousness got replaced with a surprise. The warrior stood there and watched the spiders extend their tongue and suck something out of the ground. He gazed at the poked hole and noticed something was leaking out. Before he could examine it, the strong tremor forced him to stumble back and fall. A weird creature, almost resembling a dog, roared and attacked the bugs as he looked up. Not wanting to be part of it, the teen used the little energy and flew out of the hole.

"So bizarre! The bugs survive by sucking the blood out of those green beasts while they feed upon them! What kind of planet is this!?"

The teen quickly landed on the nearby mountain and stared at the sight before his dark eyes. However, he didn't notice a giant spider lurking behind him. Suddenly, a long tongue wrapped around his body and tried to pull him back.

"Tch! I was careless! N-No way I'm going out like this!"

Since he couldn't shake off the tightly wrapped tongue, the warrior generated enough ki in his hand to make it hot enough to burn the creature's tongue. The hold eased a bit, and he managed to free himself. However, the beast didn't want to lose today's breakfast and continued to attack the young male. He was too weak to defend himself and ended with a new injury. Naturally, he thought of running but couldn't as he was already exhausted. He reached the edge of a cliff and took a glance. It was either get eaten or fall, hoping he wouldn't break many bones.

"Screw it! There's no other way!"

He was about to jump when a noise from behind caught his attention. Just as he turned around, something zapped past him, creating a loud noise. He turned his head back only to see the giant spider several feet away from where it was standing. Instead of the spider, a tall, young man with wild, medium-long black hair stood there and looked at him with soft eyes. He shook his head and inspected the man's features and tattered robes.

"C-Could it be... Hey, who are you!?"

The taller male approached him with curiosity and even took hold of his long hair and played around with it. "Stop that! Could you answer my question? Who are you, and why are you on this planet!? Are there others!?" He noticed a disappointed look in the man's eyes, but the warrior ignored it.

"I-I'm on this planet with my f-father... We're the only ones here. My name is Broly."
