After measuring the girls and almost not getting stabbed by the blade of some of the aggressive girls. Phantom begins his time shopping. Though it might be the hardest quest to do as many do know that he also needs to grab undergarments for them as well. He sighed in his car and wonder how many times he had to explain that he had to get them for some sheltered girls and couldn't trust them coming with him because someone will take advantage of their naivety, "Thank god that I left something on for them to be distracted by," he said to himself after making it to Rapid City, "And thank god for having royalties to pay for my life style and my teaching gig."

Meanwhile at home, the gang is watching a show called, 'Gundam Build Fighters'. After seeing Maia playing with his Gunpla, Phantom decided to show them the beauty of Gundam Model Kits by showing them a series about people fighting with their custom models. The girls believe it was magic that makes the little toys alive but Phantom says that there is a scientific explanation in the universe what makes them move. Anyway, they enjoy the series for the bonds of Iori and Reiji. Maia particularly liked Ricardo Fellini and his burning passion for Gunpla Battles. Prim really likes the Beargguy model that China uses in the show and the SD Knight Gundam. Claudia enjoys the fights and finds it more entertaining than real fights, the feeling is mutual to some of the fighters in the living room.

Prim wondered if she could find models of them somewhere and thought of Phantom's room, Luu-Luu thought the same as both of them sneaked off to their host's room.

While paying for clothes, Phantom feels something is being violated and a strong urge to buy some model kits while he is here.

Upon entering the room, Prim turned on the light and her eyes glowed when they were met with some interesting things. His room has figures standing proudly in a glass case, another bookshelf filled with more of his manga, some electronics that she and Luu-Luu have yet to understand, and plenty of cards.

"It's like a treasure room," Luu-Luu was about to further her interest in Phantom's belongings, Prim stopped her, "Hey!"

"We are only here for Gundam," she said, "Plus I don't want Phantom to be mad."

She pouted but nodded. They look at the Gunpla Models of Build Strike, Wing Fenice, A shiny SD Knight, and some Zakus that were mentioned before in the show. Those models caught their attention and soon they carefully grabbed them and carried them to the living room. Upon reaching the living room, the girls are met with a stern Alicia. Both of them gulped,

"Dear cousin," Prim said while trying to avoid her glare, "We were curious about our host's hobbies and wonder if he has them,"

"I'm disappointed in you for going through his room and ransack his belongings," she said, then turned to the smaller girl, "And you should have stopped her,"

"I got curious too," she whimpered,

The knight princess pinched the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath, "Something tells me that he was planning to teach us about Gunpla anyway," she regained composure, "Alright, let's look at them."

At the dining room table, the trio are opening the boxes to see what they look like. Alicia picked up Build Strike and noticed how solid it felt and saw that it looked more like a toy than a model made from tiny pieces, then turned to the small knight where it looked more shiny in silver with the eyes looking professionally painted than having the use of stickers. She noticed that there was another in the living room where it lacked some of the customization including the cloth cape that one in her hand has. Nonetheless, she finds Phantom's hobbies very interesting as she sees many of them looking like they are in a constant battle. What is Gundam anyway? It seems to be more about them than what Phantom leads them on.

Prim and Luu-Luu are fighting with Wing Fenice and Gouf Custom respectively, mainly because the halfling really likes the gatling gun shield and sword of the Gouf. Meanwhile the rest of the girls are continuing watching the anime. Though Kaguya looks at the show with a somber look in her face as she asks herself, "Why do they fight?" after seeing Iori and Reiji's Build Strike damage after each fight. With the body of the model looking rough and cracked, the shrine princess felt sympathy for the model.

Phantom is looking at the shelf, "I'll take that kit as well,"

"Awesome man, for that, that'll be a grand total of $189.76" Phantom could hear his wallet cursing him for his ridiculous purchase.

"Mr. Knight!" Prim yelled as the super deformed model kit has fallen by the hands of the Gouf Custom,

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Your puny knight is no match for my mono eyed machine!" Luu-Luu gloated but felt the rumbling as she sees one big Exia Gundam looking down on her machine,

"You dare harm my cousin!" Alicia yelled while pointing one of the swords at the tiny girl,

"Meep," the Gouf quickly makes a run for it while being chased by the Exia. Prim watched on with a bewildered expression and wonder what Gundam did her cousin took,

"Get back here!"

"Get away!" The Gouf uses the gatling guns to fend off the Exia but the bullets just bounce off like it was nothing, "What!?"

"Your puny weapon is no match for my sword!" The GN Sword switched into blade mode and easily slices off the left arm of the enemy machine like a hot knife through butter,

"My precious guns!" Luu-Luu decided to use the sword and charge head-on towards Alicia's Exia but…

Meanwhile in the living room while the girls are watching the show, Olga was the most observant of the bunch, "Hmmm so the quality of their machines depends on the quality of building it," looking at the television screen closely, "Customization with paints and other material used could make a machine unstoppable,"

The moment the sword clashes with the Exia armor, it breaks into pieces.

"But when a low quality build tries to pick a fight, it is most likely going to its doom."

Exia then drops its large sword on the Gouf, breaking it into pieces. In reality Luu-Luu whined in defeat even though the actual Gouf is still intact while the blonde knight huffs in victory. Prim looked amazed by the imaginary fighting then turned her attention to the Exia, "Oh my, this knight looks so amazing," her soft hands wrapped around the model made with electronics, model plastic, and diecast metal. Heavy like a dagger but she kept it in her hands without struggle. The smooth cold feel of the Exia excites her, wondering how long it took their host to make such fine craftsmanship but then Prim realized, "Um Alicia, where did you get this?"

The knight looked confused, "From the glass case near the bookcase." Prim's face turned pale as she remembered one of the rules that Phantom told her.

Yesterday

Prim and Luu-Luu looked at the display of the Perfect Grade Exia in amazement like a colorful statue that glows from the effect of the model's GN Drive. Luu-Luu reached her hand towards the model but a slipper slapped her hand, "eep!"

Phantom looked at them with a stern look in his face, "I think you girls should read the rules next to the case," the two turned their attention to the plaque next to the bookcase.

Phantom's Special Case Rules

- No roughhousing near it

- No eating or drinking near it

- DO NOT open the Kamen Rider OOO OCC 05 Tajadol Combo figure from its box

- DO NOT touch the custom Gundam models unless otherwise

"Oh." Both of them said,

"Yeah, especially with my Exia, I have spent about months making this guy and I get real anxious when it comes to my work," then the young man adjusted his model kit a bit out of habit before closing it.

"Sorry…" They apologized.

Now

Prim starts to freak out, can't even imagine what their host would do if he finds out that they violate his rules. Alicia noticed her cousin changed demeanor and asked, "What is wrong?"

"You need to put that back in the case. Like right now."

Kaguya got bored and stumbled into Phantom's bookcase where he keeps his novels, curious what his taste in literature is and grabbed one randomly, "Colors of Wonder…" She sits next to the shelf and reads away. A story about a group of teens who gained powers via human experimentation, it reminds her of someone that she despises because of his actions against her people. The memories of her finding her people mutated, beaten, raped, and maimed by the hands of the bastard and his goons that did this. She should have killed him.

But her eyes remain planted into the words of the pages in the novel. The one thing that she find interesting about the story is the characters finding hope within this predicament, "The author seemed to understand the horrors of what could do… although I don't understand what world they live in," she said to herself, then see a quote from one of the characters, "Finding light in a dark world…" Chapters were read quickly and she was halfway through the novel but she stopped and bent the tip of the page. The book was put away in the bookcase and soon the young priestess' eyes caught the looks of other books and soon started looking into other stories.

Celestine enjoys the anime being played, she enjoys seeing young children making models based on war machines made from moon metal and battle one another in a more friendly competition. Curious about the other things that were referenced in Build Fighters and wondered how fun those shows are if the characters are passionate about it. Olga sighed but seeing how Chole's eyes are glued to the screen which brings a small smile on his face. After many years of taking her in, the years of trauma of being part of the sex slave trade and the years of being put into a war that lasted many years. Olga is secretly happy for her retainer.

Unknowingly the dark elf's hand pressed against the controller on the couch by their host's carelessness causing the show to stop and turn on a different program.

It was a live action show viewing five individuals wearing a mixture of armor and spandex, each of them having an insectoid motif and carrying a sword in various styles. The women watching this felt a sense of familiarity with the team, a sense of royalty, a sense of unity, and a sense of pure comedy gold. The anime they watched was slowly forgotten and replaced by watching Ossama Sentai King Ohger.

Phantom returned home. He felt a bit tired after going around in finding clothes for his roommates and going on a bit of his own shopping spree, but still made it home with a slight chance of peace and comfort. And building model kits. Sadly that sounds like a dream and dreams don't grant wishes. He is met with the sight of Alicia and Prim violating his Exia, Maia and Luu Luu violating his Gunpla that were in his room, Kaguya violating the bookcase where everything that he place now on the floor, and the remaining girls just imitating what they are seeing on the screen, specifically the sentai he was watching recently.

The sole male of the house sighed and smiled softly. He's been gone for most of the day and came home to see life in front of him, 'I forgot what a home would look like. Ever since I left my grandparent's house and my hometown, I was met with a dark empty house…' The girls now notice their host has returned but Phantom is still in his mind, 'Seeing people to come back to after a long day…' small tears went down on his face, 'I am always alone and isolated… only to have my books and collectibles to keep my company…"

Prim went to him after seeing him in tears and quickly apologized, "Phantom, we're sorry! We didn't mean to touch your stuff!"

A small chuckle escaped his breath, "No. No. No. I'm fine. Just had something in my eye," he lied, "Anyway, gather everyone in an hour, dinner will be ready." He then puts the bags down and heads to the kitchen. The girls are confused by his actions and curious about his behavior.

"We've been here for a day," Maia said, "But our host is acting strange. I mean I've seen men cry but this guy brushed it off,"

"Maybe it's something that he is holding in the inside," Kaguya said while her eyes glued to the the book,

"How would you know?"

"When I became a priestess, I had to remain emotionless and neutral to keep an image. I only lost it because of him…." the others who knew her remembered that day when news spread but decided to keep quiet out of respect, "Anyway, he seems to keep some things to himself,"

"Maybe we should ask him," Prim said innocently,

"I'm afraid that won't be easy, Prim," Celestine said, "It's best to let him tell us when he is ready. Besides we are just strangers as far as he is concern,"

"As much as I don't want to agree with you," Olga joined, "But you're right as far as we know, we are just guests in his home and would get offended if we suddenly push it," The Shield Alliance were shocked to hear the dark elf queen agreeing to her enemy, even her retainer is shocked to hear it as well. Her eyes peaked at the television screen to see one of the characters in her room with a giant plush toy as her companion, 'Cute….'

(AN: If you know who I am talking about. Hello fellow Sentai fans!)

Soon dinner was served, everyone was listening to Phantom as he talked about a bit of his because the youngest of the Shield Alliance asked him, "... And that is why we never speak of skinwalkers again,"

"But you just spoke of them," Alicia said in a deadpanned voice, then Phantom got up from the table and locked every door and window in the house,

"If you hear any animal outside, don't answer it." He already has a bundle of sage in one hand and a knife in the other, "Please follow tonight's rules and we all be safe afterward and never speak of this again." They slowly nodded while watching the host return to the table, "Anyway, after today, I will teach you guys all you need to know and function you into society,"

"Oh?" the red head raised an eyebrow, "Thought you might keep us locked up in your home til our deaths?"

"That would be wrong because then you guys get cabin fever," he explained, "But I want you guys to be able to leave the house and contribute to the house,"

"He's right, since there is no monarchy or knights, we are useless," Cluadia said, "And it's taking our host's generosity for granted if we don't contribute to the house," they all agree that it's for the best,

"Good, I am going to help you girls find what you're good at or least passionate about," Phantom smiled, "So everyone, be prepared for class!"

SEPTEMBER

A few months went by as Phantom, now wearing a casual dress shirt and tie enters the kitchen in a hurry, he is met by Claudia at the table, now wearing a beige sweat and faded color jeans, currently studying on teaching, "Morning Claudia,"
"Morning Mr. Phantom, I hope you remember that we have to pick up supplies for dinner tonight,"

"Yep, just a bit of a rush today, I got to get to work in a hour," Then a busty goddess enter the dining room with a plate of eggs and bacon while wearing a white long sleeved shirt and pants,

"First you eat otherwise you get grumpy," Celestine said with a playful stern on her face,

"Yes ma'am," he sat down and ate, "Prim should be down by now,"

Then he hears footsteps coming, "Sorry, Alicia was getting fussy with my hair," Prim is now wearing a pink tracksuit,

"Eat your breakfast, we leave at ten." Phantom said to her, "Don't wanna be late for your first day of school,"

"Okay" She sat at the table and ate her breakfast,

"I hope you two have a nice day today," Celestine gave them a bright smile,

"We will," Phantom gets up while adjusting his tie, "Claudia, are you sure you don't need a ride to the college?"

"I'm fine, besides it seems to be a nice day today," she said, "And thank you very much for helping me,"
"It's not a big deal," he grabbed his bag, "Besides the school can take my word if I vouch how much of a hard worker you are,"

"I will make you proud,"

Phantom smiled, "Well I'll see you girls later, come along Prim!"

The pink haired princess finished her orange juice and followed Phantom. Soon the others woke up and saw the two leave the house. And they also begin to get ready for the day. Oh what do they do nowadays? Find out.

AN: Sorry of this took long as I was busy with college and stuff. Still am but now with inspiration. So why the time skip? I want to make it my own Kuroinu in the modern world story. Besides Halloween is coming soon and I want to do a couple chapters before that comes. So the question I have you guys is what jobs you think each girl would take? So far we have Celestine as a 'housewife' or at least someone who will take care of the house while Phantom is away. Claudia is currently going for teaching. And Prim is a high school student. So what ideas you guys have? I have this idea that Luu Luu being a V-Tuber like a certain Kamen Rider fan.
