CH 16

In the mail, Joan, Allison and Karen got forms to order any uniform items they needed. Joan had to order new tops due to her expanded chest. With the baby coming her boobs had gown again to E cups, pushing EE. They were really getting heavy. They both needed new socks and got new shoes for the field, both colors. Allison also got new pants, her old ones were getting a bit tight. From lack of workouts, or course, Bob assured her.

They got the news the incoming ship was 4 weeks away. Tenya was getting nervous about it again. Allison coaxed her to slip in on her side of the bed where there was a bit more room.

The Sheriff got a reliable touch down date for the draco ship, 14 April at the small lake airport. He and John Connor passed the word. Catherine Weaver began shipping the crates of her sealed Nuke power units she was selling, and left the tractor trailers there to load up the navigation and space ship parts she ordered, that were within FAA and NASA specs.

With interstellar trade, a few things were found. The draco navigation system was hands down, the best in the whole galaxy. It could pinpoint a ship to a planet a million light years away, and since the dracos were an old race, they had accurately mapped the entire galaxy and kept their information updated. Their manufacturing of space ships and parts were also very efficient, meaning lower cost. On the other hand, Earth (Weaver) made the most efficient electrical power supplies that could be found anywhere, and were being used more and more. Her drive system coupled with the colonial 'jump' system used only to shield the ship instead of drive it, was the fastest way to travel. Teel art items and decorated furniture was beautiful, highly sought after and found on many planets. Their fruits and vegetables were outstanding also. While humans still thought meeting another culture meant conflict and war, others knew it was a way to promote trade and gain wealth.

The Draco had concluded any 'human' based life forms, such as Earth humans, Atlantians and Colonials were a bit crazy and dealt with them carefully and in isolated trades only. A few planets were convinced that if a conflict did break out, it would be one of the human planets that did it. Many planets that visited Earth once, never went back.

The Captain of the draco ship knew this, and getting close to Earth, he was getting nervous. Not with the trade, but with the Emperor's order to retrieve then kill Tenya Goble. A draco living on Earth was a true oddity. He'd concluded there had to be something wrong with her if she could live with humans. While most species did their very best to avoid conflicts, Earth humans seemed to revel in them. They even had war down to an art and wrote books about it! And not only was this Tenya living on Earth, she was living in the place that defied reason. He'd read the reports of Driftwood getting hit with a killer nuclear bomb. They didn't succumb or surrender, they came out fighting to cover the major part of that whole continent.

These were some very scary people, and he had to land there. The whole last part of their travel, he held briefings to the entire crew on how to deal with Earth humans. Worse, he knew he had to be firm when he demanded to collect Tenya Goble. He had to fulfill the emperor's demand.

He just hoped he'd live through it.

The closer they came to April, the clingier Tenya became. Although she didn't say she was worried, she became very huggy and attentive to everyone. Upon having a nightmare of weapons fire blasting away between the ship and her fiends, and seeing some fall dead, she woke up in a sweat and went to Robert's room. She crawled carefully in between him and Allison, and cuddled up to hold him tight just to be sure that nightmare wasn't real. She tried to act happy for them while her guts felt twisted in knots.

Joan and Allison packing up to go to Austin nearly brought Tenya to tears. She was sure she'd never see them again. She hugged each one tight and sobbed a bit, just saying she was going to miss them. Joan's belly was getting big too, Tenya really hoped she got to see the baby. They assured her she would see them again soon. When they left, she sobbed all over Robert's arm.

It was almost time. Only 11 days to go.

The next night, Tenya knew Malinara was very eager to climb into Robert's bed with him, so she forced herself to stay out. The night after that, she convinced herself that if she was going to be killed anyway, she might as well have sex with Robert, even if he ruined her permanently. After all, it wouldn't matter when she was dead.

"We do indeed," Bob stated.

Walking slowly up to his room with Tenya on one side and Malinara on the other, He felt like screaming, "Tenya this isn't right, we can't do this!" He didn't. He held in any comments until they got inside and he could convince her this wasn't right.

Malinara shut the door when they were in. Tenya released him to run over to the bed and strip. Kneeling on the bed naked, Tenya cast her pleading eyes at him. "Robert? I do really need to have sex with you."

"Tenya," he said with a groan. "We're not compatible."

"You'll probably hurt like hell and bleed."

"Even if Robert splits you open?" Malinara asked.

"Don't care, I might be dead in a few days anyway." Tenya stated.

Bob face planted. "No, you won't be," he stated in a near growl.

Gentler, Malinara asked, "Why do you need to have sex so badly?"

Tenya cast her a pleading look. "I've learned what love is. Doing, sharing everything with those you love. I … before I get on that ship if I must go, I need to have sex with Robert to completely show him how much I love him and all of you!" In a choke she added, "If I don't, I'll be letting myself and all of you down"

Bob let out a long sigh and sat down on the bed. "Come here," he said. He moved to gather her close, she jumped on his lap wrapping him with her arms and legs.

"Please, I really need to do this, no matter what happens." she begged in a sob.

"OH hell," Bob grumbled. He petted her back and said, "Look, just by hugging like this, you already show your love, Tenya. You don't need to risk damage to yourself."

"But I do!" she cried.

Malinara sat by Bob. Thoughtfully she said, "Robert, I'm thinking she's gonna go crazy if you don't."

"Please," Tenya blubbered out.

"This is one hell of a risk you're taking." he told her.

"Don't care. Robert, I need you inside me."

"I got it," Malinara said with a sigh. "OK everyone, clothes off. Robert lie on your back. I'll guide Tenya."

Bob stared at her. "You too?"

"After Tenya."

"No I mean you're OK with this?" he asked in a squeak.

Maliara shrugged. "What I'm seeing is Tenya is very set on it and scared she'll never experience any sex. It may not be the prime option, but at least she'll know."

"You're insane too!"

"Yeah, maybe," Malinara then whispered in his ear. "If she's on top, I can guide you in and pull her off if it's too much before we damage her. Get undressed." Malinara then coaxed Tenya off him so he could get undressed.

"This is crazy," Bob said.

"They it fits us just fine," Malinara assured him and gave him a kiss. She undressed as she told Tenya she'd guide her in what to do when.

He went in to see Tenya sitting on the edge of the bed, naked. She let out a happy giggle and said, "I can't walk!"

"For a bit, you don't have to. I brought your breakfast," he assured her.

Sliding back Tenya said, "Really, I'm so sore I can't walk! But it was great getting sore!" she beamed.

Bob helped her sit up against the headboard with pillows behind her to prop her up, then placed the tray across her lap. "Just rest today, all right? Hey, it's a Sunday, you don't have to get up."

She smiled at him. Pausing she said, "I feel complete now. Please, if I must go to keep anyone from harm, then please let it happen."

"You're not leaving," Bob said firmly. "I told you, we got it taken care of. When Joan and Allie have their first game of the season, we're all going to it."

Offering him a smile she only said, "OK." he knew he didn't believe she might have to go. But now, even if she did, she felt complete. It was all right if she had to die to save her earth family.

Coach Baker was surprised that Joan showed up on time with her huge belly. She even admitted the baby could come any day now, but was focused on learning what new plays they had and watched last years games to learn how other teams were playing. Three days after she came, her water broke and it was time.

Allison got Joan to the hospital, then called Bob. Malinara's belly was getting large also, so he brought Tenya with him. She was eager to see the baby anyway. To get there quick, Bob flew the Icon 5 to Austin. He also brought baby supplies, hoping he'd be there for the birth.

His missed it by an hour. Getting a taxi to the hospital, he expected to see Alison in the room with the new mother Joan. She was, so was half the team and Coach Baker.

Seeing Bob, Allison cried, "It's a girl! Bob, come meet little Sarah!"

Patty also waved him over, then stopped to stare at Tenya who had the baby bag over her shoulder. "What the hell are you?" Patty cried.

Tenya grinned back at her and waved. "I'm Tenya, I'm a draco. I come from another planet. I'm living with the Tanners."

Tenya quickly got everyone's attention, which let Bob get close and see baby Sarah. Tenya told the mass of players and the coach around her now about dracos, and the fact they made eggs with the little ones inside to finish growing, and how amazed she was at seeing such a big baby come out of Joan. She noted they were surprised to see her and what she was telling them, but no one had a bad reaction to her. Many of the girls wanted to pet her or inspect her hands, but it was pure curiosity of seeing something new that drove them.

Joan looked over at Tenya. "I see Tenya's making a scene. I think she'll be accepted."

"I think she's liking the attention too," Bob told her. "Our Sarah's a cutie. Love you hon," he said and kissed her. "I'm thinking take her home so you can concentrate on your game?"

Joan nodded. "Yes. It's not the prime situation, but well, it's what we got."

Betty wanted pictures, as did Bob. She got everyone standing in the right spots. Joan in bed, holding Sarah, Bob to her right, Tenya to her left, Coach Baker beside Bob, Allison beside Tenya, and the rest of the girls grouped around them. Betty took four pictures, and was going to have one 8X10 made for the team meeting room.

Baby Sarah was checked out, weighed and had her footprints taken. Bob got the birth certificate and the application for Sarah's social security number. Once the 'officials' were done, Joan was ready to leave with her family. The doctor wasn't thrilled with this, but Joan insisted she and Sarah were fine.

Coach Baker was amazed that Joan planned on being on the field for practice in the morning.

Tenya though this exciting day was a one of a kind. She got to hold Sarah on the way home, where Sarah was fussed over by everyone.

A few days later, Malinara began having labor pains, and her little boy, Joey was born at the Driftwood hospital. Malinara did need to stay in the hospital a couple days with baby Joey, so Tenya made it a point to take care of Sarah with Bob.

Bob was a busy guy when Malinara came home with Joey. Everyone came to see the babies, and Cameron decided she would stay to help at least for the first couple weeks.

Tenya noted that she had six days left before the ship arrived. She made sure she packed a few clothes, and had her pardon from Uncle Graden. She was praying it would be honored with no trouble. As she thought about it, learning about karaoke, singing to recorded music, there was something else she wanted to add for her Uncle. She also took a small video camera around to show Uncle Graden her daily life here.

Having only a few days left, Tenya was busy those last days helping to take care of Sarah and Joey, going to school and getting the recordings done that she wanted to do. Before she knew it, The Sheriff arrived with Anne to escort her and Bob up to the airport at the small lake. Luckily, the Mer Ellen insisted she would watch the babies so Malinara could go also. Bob got them in the truck and followed the Sheriff up to the lake.

Tenya had her bag and the bag she'd made for Graden. She was also so nervous she felt like peeing herself and her stomach was tied up in a knot. Sitting in between Robert and Malinara, she cherished being close to them for possibly the last time. She held onto the hope that her hero would save her again.

Thankfully, the ride was not long enough for her to lose what composure she had. They made it to the airport and into the gate where many men and crates were in flatbed truck to take to the ship and others were standing by to remove cargo. They parked beside the Sheriff's car in the lot. Not far away, people she knew were gathered. JJ, Kaede and Sophie were here, so was Cameron, Delilah and a blonde she didn't know.

"Everyone set?" The Sheriff asked.

"We are." Cameron replied. "Mrs. Weaver is checking on the ship's progress."

Tenya gripped Robert's hand. "I will always love you, to my dying day." she whispered.

Bob could feel her shaking slightly with her firm grip on his hand. "As will I, and you're going to be fine, Tenya. Believe it," he replied firmly.

The red headed Mrs. Weaver joined them. "The draco ship is in atmosphere and should be here in fifteen minutes." she told the group.

Cameron announced, "Guard terminators, form up!"

Twenty men came over to stand at the groups sides. Others who were near the trucks formed a line between the trucks and where the ship was to land.

Tenya knew this was it. No matter what, she had to be brave for her Robert. As time ticked by, she swore this was the longest fifteen minutes of her life.

The draco ship appeared above them and settled down where the man with the long red cones guided it down to. Once the ship was down and shut down, the cargo bay door opened. Empty trucks came up one at a time to be filled.

The front door opened and a ramp came down. Three dracos, came out. Mrs. Weaver came out to meet them.

"Is Tenya Goble here?" the Captain asked.

"Right this way, captain," Mrs. Weaver replied and motioned the way to him.

Tenya's grip on Bob's hand became very strong. "Easy," he said quietly as the three dracos approached. He also saw they had side arms. When the dracos got a dozen paces away, Bob held up a hand. "Close enough," he announced.

The three stopped. The Captain held up a parchment. "I have an order here to retrieve Tenya Goble, please hand her over."

"No," Bob stated.

Kaede asked, "What are you going to do with her?"

The captain eyed her. "We are going to return her home."

"After you cut her head off?" Anne asked.

Without thinking, the Captain nodded. "It was ordered by our emperor."

Tenya held up her parchment. In a firm voice she said, "This is a pardon from emperor Graden, stating I have been declared innocent and can stay if I wish. I do wish to stay here."

"Graden is not the emperor." The captain stated.

"He is now, you should listen." Kaede told him.

The captain stated, "That has to be fake. You couldn't have gotten any communication from the emperor so fast. Please do not resist. This is a draco affair and we do have weapons."

Cameron yelled, "Plasma cannons out and charged!" At her yell she, Delilah, Jackie and all the terminators brought their plasma cannons out and aimed at the three dracos. They dracos felt a jerk at their sides. Their side arms ripped free and flew over to hang in the air by Kaede.

The three dracos froze in place, looking stunned.

Kaede announced," I think violence would be a very bad idea! Cameron, have everyone put their weapons away."

Cameron eyed Kaede. "You sure?"

"I am. There will be no violence!" Kaede said in a hard tone.

The captain let out a sigh of relief. "Miss Teel, thank you for calming the situation down."

Kaede cast a crooked grin. "I am not a Teel as you know them." She crushed their side arms and dropped them and walked closer to the captain. "Here, I'm a diclinous. The land I come from refers to me as the wind of death, which I can be very quickly. I could kill you all in the blink of an eye. However, Lisa Teel has requested I do not do so unless you force me to. You see Tenya has a pardon signed and sealed by your current emperor. Will you not honor it?"

The captain looked at the decree Tenya was holding up. "It looks real, but it can't be. She couldn't have gotten a real pardon that quickly!"

Not taking her eyes off him, Kaede called, "Anne! Do you not have a copy for the captain?"

Anne sighed. "Yes, I got it. I was hoping to see some blood before I gave it to him."

The Sheriff stated, "Anne hand it over. Now. Tell him how you got it."

"Hokay," Anne said with a sigh. She walked over and handed the captain his copy. "I got this directly from emperor Graden in his chambers, along with Tenya's copy. Graden called me for help, I answered. He wanted Tenya to live and to save all of you from being stupid and getting killed here. I chopped the current emperor's head off and made Graden emperor. These documents are real."

The captain stared at her. "You killed our emperor?" he asked weakly.

"He wanted Tenya's head, so I took his," Anne stated.

"However it happened, Graden is your emperor now, and he has reversed that cruel order to collect and kill Tenya," Kaede stated. "Now, Captain, you have the same decree in your hand that Tenya does. You have proof it's real. Dare you face your emperor knowing what you know if you did manage to kill Tenya?"

The captain swallowed.

"Even if you did manage to take her and live, which I highly doubt would happen, you'd be arrested for murder the second you got back home," Kaede added.

The captain shied back. He looked at the decree again. "This does look authentic … so it for the moment, I have to comply. If I find it's not, the I will be back for her."

"And we'll be waiting," Cameron added in a hard tone.

"Your business with Tenya is done, captain." Kaede stated. "Catherine Weaver is waiting to finish your trade deal."

The captain nodded and returned to his ship where Weaver was waiting for him.

Tenya blew out the breath she was holding and sagged against Bob. He caught her and kept her from falling down.

"Felt a little stressed, did you?" he asked.

Tenya cried out, "Thank you, everyone!" She then burst out in tears of relief.

Malinara patted Tenya on the shoulder. "You're one of us now, kid."
