Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai

Chapter Two-hundred and fifty-two: Eeveeloution enigma, Chloe's concerns

Ash and Goh led the reborn trainers through the front door of Cerise Laboratory in Vermilion City, Kanto, after the lot of them got to the Kanto region. "So this is sort of like your base of operations as you guys travel the world for Ash's stint in the World Coronation Series," Trip said as he and the others looked around.

"It's also where the Pokémon I own are kept if I don't have them on hand," Mina said.

Scowling a bit in unamusement, Goh said, "Yeah, I'm all too familiar with some of your Pokémon."

Turning to look at Mina, Ash said, "Maybe we can figure out why your evolved shiny Eevees all seemingly hate Goh."

Dawn was about to speak up, but got cut off when Professor Cerise came walking into the area. "Oh, Ash, Goh," Professor Cerise said, "I didn't expect you guys to be back so soon, given you said you were going to Sinnoh to attend a wedd-" Stopping short upon seeing the reborn trainers, Professor Cerise said, "My word! You boys had brought Dawn Berlitz with you!"

"It would seem my fame precedes me," Dawn said dryly as Professor Cerise came up to her and the others.

Gesturing to Mina, Kenny said to Professor Cerise, "Excuse me, Professor C, but the lads and I came here because Mina here has some supposedly misbehaving Pokémon kept here at the lab that are supposedly harassing Goh."

Professor Cerise turned to look at Kenny. "Ah, the shiny Eeveeloutions. Yeah, Mina here does one one each of the Eeveeloutions, and they're all shiny, and all of them from what I've gathered are not in the least bit fond of Goh for reasons that escape me."

"Yes, that's what we came here to check out," Kenny replied. Professor Cerise nodded in understanding and had everyone follow him out into the garden area where all of the Pokémon at the lab are kept. The reborn trainers, as well as Ash and especially Goh, were wanting to get to the bottom of what exactly it was that has all of the shiny Eeveeloutions that Mina owns so against Goh. Hopefully, they would be able to figure things out soon, especially as Goh somewhat lives at the labratory, so it'd be a bit problematic if he was continuously harassed.

In the garden area of the lab, called Cerise Park, Mina let out a sharp whistle as the other reborn trainers, along with Ash, Goh, and Professor Cerise, all stood by. Within short order, a Gardevoir came running over, followed by a shiny Flareon, a shiny Vaporeon, a shiny Umbreon, a shiny Leafeon, and a shiny Glaceon. "Yeah, Gardevoir is also mine," Mina said.

"Hey!" Goh said point pointing at Mina's Gardevoir, "It's the same Gardevoir that punched me in the face when I tried saying hi to her and see how she was doing! What is her problem?"

"Well you automatically assuming Gardevoir is female ought to have a lot to do with it," Mina explained to Goh, "My Gardevoir here is male." Mina's Gardevoir nodded in confirmation.

After Goh looked a bit embarrassed, Ash said to Mina while gesturing to the shiny Eeveeloutions, "So all of these guys are yours, Mina?"

Nodding twice in the affirmative, Mina said, "Oh hecks yeah. Also, despite how he's unevolved, Scar is actually the leader of this pack sort of." Mina then tossed up four Pokéballs, calling out her shiny Jolteon, shiny Espeon, shiny Sylveon, and non-shiny Eevee with a scar over one of his eyes. "Okay, guys!" Mina said to her Eeveeloutions and one Eevee, "We're going to be discussing things here to get to why you all seemingly have it out for Goh here." Mina paused to gesture to Goh. "We can't have you guys harassing Goh anymore," Mina said, "So we-"

Mina stopped short when her Eeveeloutions all glared angrily at Goh, as well as make unamused growling sounds. Scar, with his one good eye, looked at Goh with unamusement as if acting on instinct. However, the named Eevee didn't make any noise. "See? This is what we need to settle!" Mina said as she got the attention of all of her Pokémon again, "You need-"

Mina was cut off when Professor Cerise pulled his phone out. "...Oh, I can send Ash over," Professor Cerise said before hanging up the call and putting his phone away. "Hey Ash, can you go to the local Pokémon Center for me? They need help there with some stuff in a back room."

"Alright," Ash replied, asking first if everyone else had things handled before leaving. The reborn trainers all said it wouldn't be a problem, so Ash was free to go. Once Ash was gone, the reborn trainers and Goh focused back on trying to get Mina's shiny Eeveeloutions to behave towards Goh better. However, hearing all of Mina's shiny Eeveeloutions sound upset towards Goh again made the reborn trainers and Goh realize that fixing things here would be tougher work than what was first expected. Even so, they had to try and do something to get Mina's shiny Eeveeloutions to behave themselves.

When Professor Cerise mentioned that it was getting time for lunch, the group decided to take a break so that they could get something to eat. Professor Cerise said he was hoping that Dawn would be able to answer a few questions for him, as it would help him with his research at the lab. Dawn figured that Professor Cerise wanted to do a little Q and A with her to learn more about Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, maybe even the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh that she had caught. It'd be something Dawn wouldn't have any issue with, although if the professor asked something Dawn didn't wanna disclose, she'd make sure to stress that point.

The reborn trainers and Goh went with Professor Cerise to the kitchen area of the lab and had lunch there. As they sat and ate, Professor Cerise did indeed ask about the legendary and mythical Pokémon that Dawn owned, mainly Palkia as he saw it on TV a few times, most recently the exhibition battle where Dawn defeated Leon before the current season of the World Coronation Series had kicked off. However, Dawn's impressive victory and the various impressive Pokémon were not the main topic that was being discussed.

"Maybe they're offended along with Mina's Gardevoir over how you thought Gardevoir is a girl," Trip reasoned as he talked to Goh.

"No no, they would have relaxed some after Goh learned of his mistake if that were the case," Mina pointed out.

Gesturing to Mina, Kenny said, "Technically Goh didn't say sorry to your Gardevoir. Maybe they're expecting him to apologize for-"

"EEVEE!" Scar cried out, his voice sounding... awfully deep and masculine for an Eevee. Scar's voice sounded akin to that of a certain pirate hunter turned pirate who had a surprising habit of picking fights with minorities. Scar was also glaring with his one good eye directly at Goh.

Pointing at Scar, Goh said to Mina, "That's what your Eevee sounds like?! His voice sounds way too deep for him to be a normal Eevee!"

"And from the way Scar's tone sounds as he's glaring at Goh," Dawn said, "I'd wager that he's also not fond of Goh either."

"Which is odd," Mina said, "Considering Scar is always in my party, meaning he never had a chance to see Goh until today. Maybe he hates Goh on instinct or-"

"EEVEE!" Scar cried out again, making everyone turn to see him. To their surprise and mild alarm, Scar was standing on the counter, on only his hind legs, he put the handle of a serrated knife in his mouth, then he picked up and grabbed a serrated knife in each front paw. The named Eevee then crossed his front legs in front of his chest area, and he seemed to be exuding a menacing aura as his one good eye glared at Goh.

Pointing at his girlfriend's scarred Eevee, Kenny said, "No, Scar! Do not use King of Hell style Rengoku Oni Giri on Goh!"

"Scar, put the knives down!" Mina ordered. After a few seconds, Scar dropped the knives in his paws and spat out the one in his mouth. Mina then went over to scoop up her scarred named Eevee as Professor Cerise collected the dropped knives. "Geez, so it's not just the pack," Mina said, "It's also the pack leader."

"He was gonna attack me with knives!" Goh exclaimed, sweat on his face and brow as he held a hand over his chest, looking like he saw that he was almost killed.

As Mina gave Scar a light bop to the top of his head, the door leading into the kitchen opened, and Professor Cerise's daughter Chloe walked in. "Umm... where did all of the guests come from, dad?" Chloe asked.

Before Professor Cerise could explain, Scar jumped out of Mina's arms, landed on the floor, and scampered up to Chloe, putting his front paws on her leg so he could try standing up. He also looked up at Chloe with a happy expression as he wagged his tail. "What happened to this Eevee's eye?" Chloe asked out of concern as she knelt down and petted Scar on the head.

"He got that in an accident," Mina said, "And on that matter, who are you?"

"Oh, that's my daughter Chloe," Professor Cerise explained, "Chloe, this girl here in Mina. She's the owner of the evolved shiny Eevees that keep harassing Goh."

Pointing at Scar, Goh exclaimed, "And that Eevee of Mina's tried attacking me with the intent to kill!"

Giving Goh a curious look, Chloe said, "I'm sure you're just blowing things out of proportion."

"Actually we had to take three knives from Mina's Eevee there, believe it or not," Professor Cerise said.

As Chloe had a surprised look on her face, Ash came walking in with Pikachu on his shoulder; Ash was also carrying a Pokémon egg. "Hey guys," Ash said, "I got this egg at the-" Stopping short and seeing the atmosphere in the room, Ash said, "...Did I miss something?"

...

Everyone moved back out to Cerise Park. While out there, the reborn trainers along with Ash, Goh, and Professor Cerise, saw it as Mina's shiny Eeveeloutions all interacted with Chloe in a friendly and affectionate manner. Mina got up with Scar and went to talk to Chloe, and when she sat down with Chloe, all of the Eeveeloutions jumped up and nuzzled into the girls. Watching this was Dawn, the boys, and Professor Cerise.

Gesturing to the scene with the girls and the Eeveeloutions, Goh said, "There it is! They're super nice and affectionate and sweet towards Chloe, but when it comes to me they either steal from me, or pee on my shirts I leave on the floor, or straight up try to attack me!"

"Truly a riddle for the ages this is," Kenny said, "But it's a riddle that I, with my vast infinite reserves of moxie and cringe, shall solve!" Kenny then gestured for Goh to follow him, and together the two of them walked over to Mina, Chloe, and the Eeveeloutions.

As the boys were at the halfway mark as they made their way over, Mina's Pokémon all perked up and focused on the arriving Goh, instantly taking a hostile attitude towards him. "Come on guys, settle down!" Mina scolded. Looking up at the boys as they came over, Mina asked, "What's up, Kenny?"

Pointing at Mina, Kenny said, "I have a theory that could explain why Scar and the shiny Eeveeloutions all hate Goh so much. First, it's obvious that they hate Goh, but at the same time they're all fond of Chloe. My guess is that they feel that Goh has in some way wronged Chloe."

"You think I may have wronged Chloe in some way?" Goh asked, sounding surprised.

Nodding once in the affirmative, Kenny said, "It's the best bet that I could come up with, so-"

"You... actually..." Chloe interrupted, looking down and sounding a bit dejected, "...Kind of... hit the nail... on... the... ...head."

Both Kenny and especially Goh looked at Chloe in surprise. "You... you think that I've wronged you?" Goh asked, looking stunned, "Chloe, what makes you think that I-"

Goh was cut off when Chloe got Mina's Umbreon to scooch off of her lap, stood up, and directly faced Goh. "It's because of how I don't wanna pursue a path where I work with Pokémon!" Chloe screamed at Goh, "Unlike you who is trying to catch every Pokémon out there because you wanna meet Mew!"

Having heard Chloe scream, Dawn and the others all ran over to where Chloe, Mina, Kenny, and Goh were at. "Are you okay, Chloe?" Dawn asked.

"And did I hear you correctly when you said that you don't want to pursue a path where you work with Pokémon?" Professor Cerise said, "Chloe, why don't you-"

"Because I don't want to follow in your footsteps, dad!" Chloe screamed, getting more heated as the others backed up a step out of surprise, "I'm not just your daughter, I am also my own person! But my classmates at school are all like, 'hey Chloe, you're gonna be a Pokémon professor just like your dad, right?' and, 'hey Chloe, I bet you'd be great working with Pokémon just like your Pokémon professor dad'!" Gesturing to herself, Chloe said, "I don't want others deciding my path in life for me! Not my classmates, not Pokémon, and certainly not you! Is that too much to ask?! IS IT?!"

Professor Cerise was now looking rather concerned. "Chloe, you need to calm down," Professor Cerise said, trying to get his heated daughter to settle down.

"Yeah, Chloe," Goh said, "I'm sure your dad-"

Turning on Goh, Chloe snarled at him, "Figures you're taking his side, considering you're the child he wanted instead of me!"

"Excuse me?" Goh asked, looking shocked. Similarly, Professor Cerise and the others present also looked shocked with what Chloe just said.

Gesturing wildly, Chloe went on, "It doesn't surprise me in the least, Goh! I don't want a path in life that requires working with Pokémon, but YOU very obviously do! You have way more in common with my dad then I do and can ever hope to have! He, my own dad for crying out loud, doesn't even TRY to connect with me or do any parent-child bonding with me because I don't have the same interests as him! I'm very clearly not the kid that he wanted, just the one that he ended up being stuck with! But you on the other hand are everything my dad wants in a kid! Hell, at this point it wouldn't even surprise me if you tried to straight up steal my dad from me! It'd probably be easy for you because my dad clearly likes you more than-"

*PAT*

Chloe was cut off when Professor Cerise, a resigned and troubled look on his face, looked down at his daughter after he cut her off by patting his hand down on top of her head. "...I'm sorry, Chloe," Professor Cerise said, sounding genuinely remorseful, "I am so sorry. I... I had no idea you felt so neglected, that you were also suffering at school because your classmates were trying to pigeonhole you into a path you weren't sure you wanted."

"...You still don't understand me," Chloe said, her head hung as she began to cry, "I AM sure that I don't want to pursue a path where I work with Pokémon. The idea has... it's been pretty much killed for me."

Smiling gently, Professor Cerise said, "It's alright, it's alright, you don't have to follow a path where you work with Pokémon if you don't want to. I just want for you to be happy is all."

"We... may also need to have a chat with Chloe's classmates about their behavior towards Chloe," Dawn said, "This seems like it could be a problem if it's not addressed properly." Chloe, now overwhelmed with emotion, ended up crying at full blast, falling into Professor Cerise as she threw her arms around him and cried into him. For his part, Professor Cerise gave a small, sad but sympathetic, smile and patted his daughter on the back gently while reassuring her that she was going to be fine.

After things had settled down, the reborn trainers plus Ash, Goh, and Professor Cerise were discussing things in the kitchen while Chloe cooled off. Professor Cerise let off a troubled sigh. "Hoo boy, some parent I am," Professor Cerise said, clearly sounding guilty, "I got so wrapped up in my research as a professor that I failed to notice how my own daughter had been suffering."

"It... it also kind of surprises me to hear Chloe say that she doesn't want to take a path in life where she works with Pokémon," Goh said, "I mean, who wouldn't want to work with Pokémon, I ask you?"

Dawn had a suspicious look on her face. "...She said the idea had been killed for her because all of her classmates automatically assume she'd do it because her dad just so happens to be a Pokémon professor. Maybe all of that repeated pigeonholing had gotten to her." Folding her arms over her chest, Dawn said, "Again, this is something we'll have to address before it gets too bad."

"Wait a minute," Mina began, "If Chloe hates Pokémon, then how come she was willing to hang with my Eeveeloutions?"

"It's not that she hates Pokémon," Trip clarified, "It's more that she hates the idea of being forced into a life path where she works with them."

Professor Cerise nodded in the affirmative. "Chloe does seem fond of the Yamper we have around here."

As the humans wondered about how to help Chloe feel better, Mina's Lucario came walking over to Ash and sniffed at the Pokémon egg he was holding. "Oh, Nurse Joy told me that this egg originally came from the Sinnoh region," Ash explained when the others asked about the egg, "She-" Ash stopped short when Mina's Lucario's aura sensors glowed a bit as they floated up on their own, and that glow resonated with the egg. Similarly, a faint aura glow came from Ash himself. This revelation surprised everyone who was present.

"The egg reacts to aura?" Mina said surprisingly.

Turning to Dawn, Trip said, "Hey sis, do you have your Lucario on hand?"

"No but I can rotate Leni into my party if given time," Dawn replied, "Why?"

...

As it turned out, Trip had the theory that the Pokémon egg Ash had would hatch faster if in close proximity to those who can use aura, such as Lucarios and to a lesser extent Ash. Of course, the reborn trainers all secretly knew that Ash's egg there was going to hatch into a Riolu, due to knowledge of the anime from their previous lives. But none of them could say that out loud. Later in the day, after Dawn came back from rotating Leni into her party, the aura emitted by the egg got stronger when both Dawn's and Mina's respective Lucarios were close to the egg.

"I suggest that the Lucarios stay close to the egg," Professor Cerise said, "They both can take on fatherly roles as-"

Professor Cerise was cut off when both Mina's Lucario and Dawn's named Lucario Leni swung one foot each up into Professor Cerise's groin, offended looks on their faces. "You assumed their genders," Mina pointed out dryly, "That's why they both got mad."

"But..." Professor Cerise gasped as he was in a fetal position on the floor, his butt sticking straight up into the air, "...But they both seemed to masculine to me, I ju-"

"Both Mina's Lucario and my sister's Lucario are female," Trip pointed out.

"In the professor's defense," Goh began, "Do you know how rare it is to find a female of the Lucario species?"

Ash just chuckled a bit, amused by the antics of everyone that was there. It was as things settled down and the reborn trainers helped to get Professor Cerise seated in a chair so he could recover that everyone heard Chloe's voice call out, "What happened?" Everyone turned to see Chloe having walked in; she had changed into a sleep outfit (it was getting fairly late in the day), and the redness of her eyes suggested that she had recently had a good cry.

Pointing at Professor Cerise, Mina explained to Chloe, "Your dad had assumed the genders of my Lucario and Dawn's Lucario, and as such they both kicked him in his crown jewels." Shrugging, Mina added, "It's sort of like how my Gardevoir punched Goh in the face because he assumed Gardevoir was a girl."

Chuckling a bit, Kenny said, "At least Cell when he takes hits to the shmeat doesn't get hurt there due to assuming someone's gender."

Chloe sighed. "Maybe an ice pack can be made for my dad?"

"So Chloe, you feeling better?" Dawn asked.

Nodding once, Chloe replied, "Yeah, and I have been thinking about what I want to do with my life, and it's something that doesn't necessarily require me to work with Pokémon." Letting out a breath, Chloe said, "I want to be a performer."

"A performer?" Goh asked, looking curious.

Nodding once, Chloe said, "I want to be able to wow an audience, either on stage or on the screen." Shrugging, Chloe went on, "Call it the silly dreaming of a young girl if you want, but I still feel-"

"Actually, it's fairly doable," Mina interrupted, "Even IF you don't do any work with Pokémon."

Dawn nodded in agreement. It would be a rather interesting path in life for Chloe to take, and Dawn by no means would stop her. Dawn was about to speak up, but got cut off by Kenny saying, "Well we over at Kenny Harris Studios could always use a fresh face. We'll have to see how far your talent goes right now, but after that and with a lot of practice, I'm certain we can grow you into a fine actress that many a film studios will be banging down the door of, begging to cast you in lead roles and the like." Giving Chloe a smile and thumbs up, Kenny said, "Trust me when I say that you got this."

Chloe actually looked a bit surprised that someone was so quick to believe in her, in her dreams of being some manner of performer. An actress in a movie was right up her alley, and the idea of getting the take part in a movie coming out of a surprisingly successful budding movie studio the likes of Kenny Harris Studios did fill Chloe with a degree of excitement. Such excitement was hidden well though, due to a combination of Chloe being tired and Chloe having had a good cry earlier. Even so, she gave a small but sincere smile. "That does sound nice," Chloe said, "Thanks. Oh, quick question."

Perking up a bit, Kenny asked, "What is it?"

"Umm..." Chloe began, "...If I do end up getting a role in a movie from Kenny Harris Studios, and said role sees me have to wear a fat suit like the roles Dawn had in the Mina Carrow movie and Clauncher and me, how long can I expect the process of putting it on to take?"

The reborn trainers looked at Chloe in stunned surprise. "...Holy crap," Kenny said, "You are literally the second person ever, outside of those in the know, who was able to tell that Dawn was wearing a fat suit for those roles."

As Kenny actually applauded Chloe, the surprised looking Chloe said, "Wait, are you saying people have thought Dawn's weight was fluctuating for real?"

"Oh ho ho," Dawn said dryly, "You'd be VERY surprised to learn how many people have made the mistake of thinking I was gaining and losing weight for real. As well as who some of said people are." Seeing that everyone had relaxed and the tension in the air was gone, the reborn trainers and everyone else was able to relax the rest of the night. It was rest some of them sorely needed, such as Chloe who had an emotion outburst after being unable to hold it in anymore, and her dad Professor Cerise who got struck in the shmeat because he assumed the genders of two Lucarios.

The reborn trainers were provided with a bunk room at Cerise Laboratory to rest for the night, as they planned to head out in the morning so that Dawn, Trip, and Kenny could continue to raise their respective rankings in the current season of the World Coronation Series. "So we had learned quite a lot today," Kenny remarked as he laid in the bottom bunk of the bunk bed he and Mina shared.

"Oh yeah," Trip said as he laid in the bottom bunk of the bunk bed he and Dawn shared (the girls got top bunks), "It turns out that Mina's Eeveeloutions and scared Eevee all hated Goh because they felt he had wronged Chloe who they were fond of, and Chloe ultimately resented Goh to a degree because of issues stemming from a combination of how her peers at school were trying to pigeonhole her into a career path she didn't want based on how her dad works such a path, and fearing that not wanting such a path makes her unwanted by her dad."

"Well at least Professor Cerise is very understanding of everything and will support Chloe no matter where her path in life takes her," Mina said, "And it's nice to see that Chloe technically doesn't hate Pokémon as a whole, she just hates the idea of essentially being forced into a career path not of her own choosing."

Dawn nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I think that it's great that Chloe and her dad were able to reach an understanding and-"

"Whoa! The egg's hatching!"

Dawn was cut off when she and the others all heard Ash cry out from the room he and Goh were sharing. The reborn trainers all got up out of bed, Dawn and Mina jumping out of the top bunks, and all of them rushed into Ash's and Goh's room. Dawn and Mina led the group with their respective Lucarios, figuring that they may end up coming in handy. That ended up being the case when Ash's egg hatched into a Riolu, just as they had remembered from the anime in their previous lives.

The newly hatched Riolu looked around and saw Ash hold a hand out to it, but Riolu threw Ash back into his bed with a Vaccume Wave attack. Riolu then tried to escape out the window; tried being the operative word here as it was pulled back by Leni who held it in place with Psychic. "Okay little one, you need to settle down," Dawn said as she and Mina, with their respective Lucarios, looked at the newly hatched Riolu. The little one actually stopped struggling, but that was due to how it ended up being focused on the two Lucarios in the room.

"Ash, you okay?" Goh asked, clearly concerned.

Smirking a bit, Ash said, "I bet that Riolu here just wants to prove itself as a capable battler."

Gesturing to the boys, Dawn said, "Ash, Goh, could either of you make sure that the window is closed and locked?" Goh got up and checked it, and after closing and locking the window, Dawn said to the newly hatched Riolu, "Now then, are you going to settle down?"

The Riolu, given enough freedom in the Psychic hold that Leni had on it, nodded once in agreement. The named Lucario then sat the Riolu down on its feet, but after being sat down, Riolu turned to look at Ash before pointing at the two Lucarios and excitedly going on about something to Ash. Mina's Lucario chuckled a bit in sincere amusement while Leni held her paw-hands to the sides of her face and gush over the Riolu like someone fawning over a small and adorable child. "I think that the Riolu is excitedly going on about wanting to be like my Lucario and Dawn's Lucario," Mina remarked, "Would that be accurate to say?"

As the newly hatched Riolu nodding in confirmation, Dawn said, "Well Riolu DOES evolve into Lucario. But it will require training, as well as forming a strong bond with its trainer."

"What do you say, Riolu?" Ash said to the Riolu, "You wanna come along with me and train to become strong like Mina's Lucario and Dawn's Lucario?" The newly hatched Riolu excitedly cried out in agreement, and after using a spare Pokéball, Ash caught the Riolu. Dawn was surprised Riolu had settled down and was caught as easily as it was here; did the presence of two Lucarios have something to do with it? Those would be questions to be tackled in the morning, as everyone was tired and needed to hit the hay.

And what a day everyone had; the mystery of most of Mina's Pokémon hating Goh was solved, Chloe came to be better understood by her dad, Chloe figured out a path that she wanted to take in life, and the egg that Ash got hatched into a Riolu. Dawn had a feeling that things were going to be taking an interesting turn, but was glad to see that everyone had come to understand and accept one another. In the morning, the reborn trainers were going to tackle the issue of Chloe's classmates all having tried to pigeonhole her into a career path she wasn't entirely sold on, get them to realize they messed up and clear the air of all misgivings.

Because Chloe was her own person. A fact everyone was made aware of, a fact everyone was fully prepared to accept and respect. Professor Cerise said that he was also looking forward to seeing the first movie that Chloe starred in, making Chloe blush a bit out of embarrassment. But it was a father just being accepting and loving of his daughter, no matter what path in life she took. It was going to be a path of Chloe's own choosing, and Professor Cerise was going to tell her that she will be able to do it, every step of the way.

Because he now understood her, and he wants to keep understanding her.

END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO

Author's notes;

This chapter focuses mostly on Chloe's character, as a lot of episodes focusing on her character air after the set death dates of the reborn trainers in their previous lives, so they honestly don't have much knowledge on what Chloe ends up doing. I decided to put a spin on how Chloe shows interests in Contests by making her want to be a performer of sorts, and there's strong possibility she'll end up in a future Kenny Harris Studios movie. Regardless, after Chloe expresses herself, how she felt trapped, her friends and family are there for her, with Professor Cerise realizing he had been less than an ideal father towards Chloe, and will be rectifying things there. Chloe's issues will be resolved before they have a chance to grow into serious problems.

Anyway, the next chapter will see Dawn break her way into the Great Class in the current season of the World Coronation Series. There's going to be some shenanigans in the Great Class, including a bit of a mini-arc that I have planned which will be focusing on a certain Pharaoh of the Pyramid who has a penchant for doling out 'Reason you suck speeches' to others like they're candies on Halloween. Until then, take care.
