"Captain Nisus we are on a short time frame here. The Apovlita is vulnerable and a would be a valuable target for the Perseus much less the Cylons" said Janet Ifos. "Currently your ship is full of fuel, water, and food. In short we are leaving in 2 days. You can join us or you can go."
Tomas Decat repressed a sigh. The issue was everything had been agreed to. The Bream would join the Chiron's fleet. Captain Nisus would join the Governor's Council. Trained crewmembers would be interviewed to take over the critical systems of the Bream. Even the fate of the two abandoned cargo ships was figured out. Problem was Captain Nisus was grandstanding for the upcoming election.
The "few months" of the ships picking Governor Maxon had been pushed back to 6 months. Which meant that there is an election in just over 50 days. Jessi Maxon would still likely win but other his own very formulaic run she had no current opposition. Governor Maxon was good at running the civilian side of the fleet so to offset that Councilor Nisus seemed to want to bring politics into their small fleet. Making proclamations, questioning the rationing system of irreplaceable items that they would be out of if the CeeMart 264 hadn't been found. From being about 2 weeks from dying to lack of tyleum or 2 months from running out of food to complaining that the toothpaste allotment is too stringent in 3 days showed Captain Nisus probably was more looking out for his future prospects and not his people. Still this at least meant that Tomas Decat could with good conscious withdraw from the upcoming election. The remaining RM personnel would probably have voted for Governor Maxon anyway.
'Still I am in charge here time to reign in this before people get too pissy' thought Decat. "Miss Ifos thank you for bringing up the timeframe. We can add an additional few days. However if the location of the Minx and Bantum are not given to us we will have to write them off."
Which was certainly something that Captain or well Councilor Nisus would not want to do. The Bream was overcrowded by almost 50% and the plan was to turn the Bantum into a passenger ships but more importantly the Minx would become their third hydroponics ship. Currently the two hydroponics ships they had could support an additional 862 people but the food would have to be more limited and much more bland. With a third ship they could actually expand their food options increasing variety. For someone trying to become Governor this would be a something that would appeal to the greater fleet and was critical to his future plans. So arguing about the amount of shampoo given to the people just to show "he is looking out for his people" was annoying.
Captain Nisus was aware they were bluffing and knew he could probably make them back down. However if the Apovlita was destroyed or Cylons showed up would that would ruin his election chances. Plus the longer spent here was less time to show himself to the people of the wider fleet. The next hour was to hash out the final details but everyone wanted to get back to the Chiron as soon as possible. With that taken care of the Bream would return to the fleet and Tomas Decat and the others could try to get the two cargo ships fueled up and ready to jump back to the rendezvous spot. The upgrades to the two ships hopefully wouldn't slow down the refit of the Azeban and would be completed in more or less the same time. What was an issue is that 6 of the 9 Raptors are here providing defense for the Bream so the exploration of the Geitona Sector has been slowed down.

Baseship Delta 6 Command Bridge
For the last few months this Baseship had been going around destroying left over Colonial equipment until earlier today when one of it's Raiders had reported that two Colonial civilian ships had jumped in. Destroying these ships would have been easy but due to wanting to get some information and honestly boredom they had captured both of the ships.
The two ships the Pelinal and Limeral Whitestrake had surrendered and seemed very willing to give up their story. That the Centaur they had been looking for was actually the Chiron made not much of a difference but was interesting. The other information gathered though gave him an opportunity. He and the Model Six Giadi Armani were going to take a Heavy Raptor back to the Cyrannus Sector. Let "Brother" David Doral and "Brother" Dave Thompson stay here looking for some mining ships or pirates in this sector.
The Number Four seemed to have a use for these people so best to leave them to him.

The removal of the Tethys and the increased (but still limited) military power of the Chiron was acknowledged but considered unimportant. The one thing however that had been considered important was the so called "Badger" base in the Erebus Belt. Currently the Cavil's plan to make the Cyrannus System other than Caprica and Scorpia unlivable to humans was proceeding with dropping of more nuclear weapons on the other 10 planets and sweeping the Cyrannus System to make sure there were no hidden Colonial ships was in process. The fact that the Chiron had sent ships here to the Cyrannus System and left with more Colonial ships was enough to send the Cavils on another frenzy of yelling and wasting time.
At first Dyo had thought he would spend time looking around the Cyrannus System for Colonial ships or hidden bases. There were certain to be some as the four asteroid belts had millions of asteroids Baseship sized or larger. With heat sinks or other stealth systems there could a large number with Colonials or even Colonial military forces hiding in them. The pre Return Colonial military bases were known as the security of the military computer systems was thoroughly compromised before the Return. However not all of the corporations much less pirate or rebel groups locations bases or supply caches were known.
However their ship had been sent to the Makrino Sector to deal with a different problem. Currently there were 11 other Baseships here which was probably the largest force outside either the Colony or the Cyrannus System. Their orders were to find a rebel group of older model Cylons that called themselves the "Guardians". There had been some dogfights of Raiders vs Raiders and everyone had believed they only had a single First War Baseship (called a Gemini Class by the humans due to it's mirrored top and bottom design) and that they would be destroyed or leave as they were losing their limited number of First War Raiders quickly. Yesterday however this had been proved incorrect. 4 of the Gemini Class Baseships had ambushed and destroyed a Resurrection Ship and it's attendant Baseship. The Geminis were slower, smaller, has less Raiders, far less missile tubes but was much better armored. The Model 3 in charge of this operation had told them they were to travel in pairs and if they saw more than 2 Geminis they were to jump out. There might be a Guardian base (they had made at least 3 more Baseships somewhere) and this group of traitors had a greater firepower than even the Pegasus did (and seemed to have some goal in mind). The humans as a whole were more dangerous but were spread out as best they could tell into dozens of different groups. Plus while it was many months old two of the smaller groups of humans had been spotted in this sector. Dyo was a bit tired of looking around at random systems but with 12 Baseships and an additional 2000 Raiders these Guardians should be found in short order.

The Faithful ships were captured. The Model Four there is going to do whatever creepy shit that Model Fours do.
The small human fleet seen in the Markrino Sector is the Rhea with the Bream and the other 4 ships along with another at this time being left vague group. One thing that is important here is what the Cylons know is not always accurate. Sometimes they see human ships either military or civilian or both. Sometimes they don't.
