Time To Answer The Reviews:
Ken Valbrandur: I am glad that this chapter was more intense than his duel as I wanted to make this special for everyone involved there, even Seigen. Pretty much yeah, and I wanted to make some differences for Skye as I find her more interesting than Miyu.
INTRO!
(A/N: Play Haruka Mirai From Black Clover)
We see six different Ignis flying around the Cyberse, all with their accompanying archetypes, with Flame escaping the Cyberse in the hands of Theodore Hamilton as a second later, his appearance changed that of Soulburner as he began walking slowly with a determined look on his face. As then a Duel Monsters card appeared on the screen which was flipped over to reveal the words, "Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"
Grey words can't make anything happen
We then see Theodore facing backwards to a boy with silver hair and blue eyes, but was 2 years older than him as they both raised their heads, as they turned to Soulburner and Varis as they turned around as Salamangreat Heatleo and Borreload Dragon striked each other at the same time.
I know, yeah I know
Soulburner covered his face from the dust of the explosion as Varis was floating above him as he went flying on his duel board.
Wishing to fly freely across the sky
Soulburner then began to chase him with a duel board of his own with a determined face.
I dreamed it all my life
Once he got close, he somehow managed to dodge an attack from Specter's Sunavalon monsters as the Liutenents of the Hanoi were along with him.
Step by step I go, though it's a doubtful world! Don't care how much I fall! Instinct is my guide, I never give up!
As soon as they appeared, Frostgirl, Stormrider and the Gore appeared with him to assist him in this match as Soulburner grinned ear to ear as they each faced one of the Knights of Hanoi, with Gore fighting Genome with his Gouki Suprex and Riscorpio as Genome had X-Kralwer Neurogos, Frostgirl having out her Nekroz Of Trishula on the field while Baira had her Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps, Stormrider with his Cerulean Sacred Phoenix Of Nephthys against Faust's Worm Zero as Soulburner passed Specter as his scarf hit the screen as a new transition was made.
To faraway future, I burst out running
We then see Soulburner flying on a duel board as then Stormrider and Frostgirl were near them, both with grins on their faces as Frostgirl winked Soulburner whose face flushed red for some time as then Flame appeared as he began flying with fire on his feet.
Go beyond even the unseen fears
Gore was then seen on a ring with his new Gouki XYZ monster with the kids looking excited with stars in their faces as he left out a dramatic roar for the audience.
The vision I had, so I can be myself
Akira was then seen with a determined face as he held a picture of his younger sister when she was younger as he then gritted his teeth. He looked down as tears went down his face as he remembered their past.
Someday I will write the next page
Ghost Gal then appeared with a saddened face as she saw Akira, as then the man raised walked towards the data bank of SOL Tech.
You are my hope
He then turned around as he saw Soulburner coming near them.
Like that page from someday
Soulburner then summoned out Salamangreat Miragestellio and Pyro Phoenix as Akira summoned out Tindangle Acute Cerberus as the two monsters clashed.
I was able to meet you
While the battle was commencing, Frostgirl watched the duel with a concerned face, but Stormrider's face wasn't shown as well as tears went down his face.
I call this a miracle.
We then see Kiku and Theodore with their arms opened towards Seigen as Flame was carrying the same motion as he had tears in his eyes as he then smiled as he fell to their embrace. Then a new screen was made as Theodore, Flame, Kiku and Seigen were smiling at the screen with Varis looking at them with his back turned against them with a wicked smile on his face.
BRING THE HEAT, SOULBURNER! - THE KNIGHTS OF HANOI!
(A/N: End Theme.)
Theodore logged out of Link VRAINS with Flame with him. They don't know how to explain what happened in that duel. They thought it would be just a journey with some mishaps along the way with them dodging SOL Tech security while dueling those AI bots. But what happened when he was dueling Akira was something else.
It was… tough to explain. He felt sick from what he had heard with Flame being uncomfortable at what he heard as well. To hear the death of a family member dying when she was just so young, not once, not twice, but thrice, which resulted in them being homeless.
They couldn't imagine barring the pain from losing your dad, then your mom and stepfather in a car accident, then going homeless, going from city to city while your brother is doing illegal activities just to bring food to the table, and then, once you were finally happy, you were dragged to the Lost Incident for 6 months, leaving permanent scars. That is just hard to think about.
But there was something about Seigen announcing it to everyone about it, to being at the Lost Incident. Something about someone he held dear to his heart, someone so close, someone he would trust and risk his life to save, a one that was with him when Kiku was in a coma… was in the Lost Incident.
That hurt horribly. It was just so… disgusting of him to not notice anything, something about this is horrible to know about. And he knows he wasn't lying because who would lie about being in this, but the way he reacted to all of this, crying and the way he acted, showed that he was fully serious the entire time, and it hurt him that he didn't that his friend was hurt this much.
He wants to know why he didn't tell anyone this, why he carried on the burden that would leave anyone scarred for life and he was at such a young age, he wanted to know why, why he didn't tell anyone this.
Kiku, Flame and him would have been there for him for this, of course they would. They wanted him to be happy, to feel safe and not to feel sad like he was now. Which explained when he logged out of Link VRAINS, he didn't see Kiku or Seigen in the room, but he could hear the sound of running.
He breathed in and out, he grabbed Flame as he wanted to go with them too, and began running out of his room as he then saw his grandma walking out the room.
"Teddy, is something wrong? I heard your friends running out of the house, so I was just checking if anything is alright?" his grandma asked him as Theodore smiled at her.
"Oh no, don't worry about that grandma, we just…" he stopped as he tried to think of an excuse, "had an argument, that is all."
"Oh dear, that is sad to hear. And you seemed all close together," she said as Theodore smiled at her.
"Don't worry about that, I am making sure that we talk things through and we patch things up, don't worry about it." he said as his grandma looked at him, and then she smiled at him.
"Well that is good to hear. I hope everything is sorted out between you three," she said as Theodore picked up his shoes and nodded.
"Will do, grandma!" he said as he then opened his door, waved back to her and then began running towards Seigen, who barely managed to see, as his smile slowly fell as he tried to focus, "Will do." he said as he continued to run so he could reach for his friend.
He began to sprint out as he tried to call out to Seigen's name, which made him go even faster than before as he went faster and faster, which shouldn't be even possible, as he was almost losing his breath from running so much.
He saw Kiku slowing down, not so she could run with her boyfriend, but because she was growing to be extremely tired as well as she has never ran this much in such a short amount of time.
Kiku wondered why was he so late, which he replied that what he was thinking about for a minute or two and about their best friend being in the Lost Incident and what transpired in the duel, which right now, didn't matter as they tried to run so they can catch up to him, which was proving to be more of a challenge than they thought it would be.
It just felt so… horrible not to know about this, and the way they found out was less than ideal since it felt like he held the emotions not for days, weeks or months, but for years. They have no idea how much it hurt him, which they would make sure that they do know about it.
Even though they want to help him, they felt horrible that they didn't know about it. It almost felt like they didn't care about him, which wasn't the case at all, far from it! They loved him! They cared about him! They want him to be happy, but this seemed that it wasn't the case as he didn't stop, no matter how much he wanted to drop and cry.
Seigen felt… like the entire World was on his shoulders as he felt both light as a feather as he felt uneasy, but at the same time heavy like he dropped the biggest news that anyone could drop, which was the case at the moment. He felt sick, he felt miserable, he felt so… disgusted with himself he can't even describe it in his own words.
The burden was dropped for him, the massive burden that would've crushed anyone was dropped, he let out everything that he had in the past 10 years of his life and shouldn't feel this horrible, he should've felt better, like the happiest person around, but it wasn't the case, in fact it was the opposite.
He felt horrible and that he couldn't describe it, it was just impossible for him to even think about it. He didn't even know why he even felt the need to do that, it was like a massive mistake for him to yell.
Was it that Akira thought that the Lost Incident was supposed to be forgotten about and that it could be easily to change someone's mood about them? Or was it the fact that when he was talking about the Lost Incident, all of those memories returned to him the more he listened to how it affected him? He didn't even know, but what he did know was that it hurt.
It hurt a lot.
The pain of losing someone hurts, and when he heard of the car accident, he remembered the day of when he heard that his-
He choked up a sob as he tried whenever he remembered that day. That tragic day of which he would rather never remember, but…
Seigen gripped his fist as he stopped at traffic as he looked left and right and once when he saw no cars, he began to run across the road as when Theodore and Kiku reached him, it was a stop light and several cars were going.
He then continued to run as fast as he possibly could, as he ran through many buildings, buildings from places that he remembered going to when he was little, until he stopped to a single apartment building.
It was his home. The place that he always went to whenever they were finished hanging out and as much as he loved going with them, he never quite enjoyed living there as much as them.
He then began running towards it, as he then ran through several flights of stairs, all of them taking up several amounts of stamina from the poor boy as he then saw the door to his apartment as he opened it. He then ran inside of it and slammed it shut.
He breathed in and out as he gripped his hand into a ball. He looked over to his apartment and sighs sadly. It looked horrible, something that no human could ever live in, but he somehow does.
He walks to his room and just sits on the ground. He looked at his hands and thought about himself. Why, why, why did he do that? All they have to do is do some cliche "No you are wrong, because we have hope," or something similar, but no, he had to say all of that.
Something that he could've avoided doing that very easily, he has done it for years, but something… something about it just made him very uneasy.
Seigen then pulled his legs upwards and wrapped his arms with them as he stayed there, all quiet, as he then let all of the tears that he couldn't force them not to cry because he didn't know what will happen next.
He is scared at how they would react. Will they hate him for not telling him the truth? Will they feel nothing but pity for him whenever he was around them? Would they call him names?
He didn't know and that is what scared him.
They were the two most important people in his life and the thought of them leaving him was the saddest part out of all this. His friends. The people he loved, the people he cared about, leaving him made him feel devastated.
He didn't want that. Never.
Not after when…
He gripped his hands into a ball he couldn't think about them. Every time he does, he feels depressed and destroyed.
He wished that this would be all over, but he would soon realize that his wish wouldn't become a reality.
Outside of his apartment, Theodore, Flame and Kiku were all outside, trying to catch their breath. Once they did, they tried to open it, but with no success. It was clear that it was locked, which would make sense, but why with them?
They want him to talk to them so they could understand why did he not talk about them for the Lost Incident. Kiku was the only one that wasn't affected by it, but she knew that something like that had to be Hell, which she hated that they didn't know about it.
It was just a horrible feeling of doing this, of not knowing that your friend was in such a deep hole of sadness and probably self hate.
Theodore didn't know how to think of this. It was just shocking to hear that someone like his best friend, a person that was one of the most close people he could ever be with, was in something that he was a part of. Being in the Lost Incident was hard enough, but to hear someone else, especially as someone who you knew for almost your entire life was a horrible feeling.
Something that he didn't want to hear, but he knew that he has, no must help his friend out, even if he didn't want to right now.
Flame was shocked, he may not be with them for so long, but he knew alot about them, how they interact, how they are as people and more, as he was shocked to hear Seigen being the origin of the Wind Ignis, which the clues were right there, but he seemed to not notice them.
That… was a foolish thing to do and what better way to do it right now at a moment that was easily the lowest part of his life.
"Seigen," started of Flame, "I know that you are troubled right now, but please open the door, we need to talk to you." Seigen raised his head and gritted his teeth.
"NO! I DON'T WANT TO TALK! NOT RIGHT NOW, NOT… just not right now." he said as he dropped his head.
"But Seigen, we want to help you. You ne-"
"I swear, you guys! I am fine, you don't have to worry about it!" Seigen cut Kiku from speaking as he gripped his hand into a ball.
"No you are not! Trust me, I know you aren't! I can hear it in your voice!" Theodore yelled as he gritted his teeth, "Just… please open the door." he said as they heard… nothing.
Not a sound, as they didn't even hear him standing up and walk towards the door, no nothing.
They figured out what he did, he is trying to ignore them so they could leave him alone, but he should know better that when it comes to his loved ones, Theodore never backs down.
They looked at each other and about an idea, looking for a spare key. They looked around to see no plants so he could place the key, but so far nothing, nothing was there.
So they looked down and the "Welcome!" mat at their feet and walked off it, as they kneeled down to pick up the mat so they could get the spare key, but to their dismay… they found nothing.
There was nothing, so they could only presume that Seigen doesn't have a spare key which was worrying.
There was silence in the room as Theodore was silent.
"Kiku," his girlfriend looked at him, "can you hold Flame, please?" he asked as he handed the duel disk that Flame was on which she took with no questions, "Thanks, now, back off." he said as she did so.
Kiku and Flame wondered what Theodore would do in this current situation, but what he just did, shocked them to their core.
He raised his legs upwards as he then proceeded to kick the door so hard that it flew from the hinges.
Everyone looked at him with shock, but they would later ask about it, or yell at him later about it, as their first thing was to get to Seigen as they then walked into his apartment. And their eyes widened form what they have seen.
It was filthy. It was filled with trash on the floor, empty chips bags, dozen of empty energy drinks cans as they were scattered around the place, it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months which worried them, alot. There were some new things like a laptop and a smartwatch, but that is about it from something that was clean, which wasn't a good thing.
At all. Theodore and Kiku had to cover their mouths and noses so they don't puke.
Flame was in shock as he looked around which confused him to no end. How was it this filthy, if he was there whenever he had to get an update, but he remembers that he was logged off whenever he was doing his research, which does make sense in some way.
But still, this was just disturbing to no end. It felt like there was no end of the trash, which was just horrible to see.
Once this was all over, they are going to clean this place top to bottom.
They heard sniffling as they began to walk faster and faster until they saw him. Seigen.
On the floor crying as he looked at them and then back to the ground.
The sheer look of Seigen right here and now was depressing. They saw a person that they loved and cared for right here and now, and they felt horrible. Awful. It was…tough to describe it, but they felt horrible and they wanted to help him right here and now.
"Se… Seigen?" said Kiku as she didn't even know what to do at this moment and no one could blame her.
Seigen was silent as he then spoke, "What is it?" he asked. His voice was empty of life.
Theodore opened his mouth before he closed them, making sure that he spoke everything without offending him or making him even sadder, "We… we want to talk to you."
"Why?" he asked.
"Because we…" Flame looked at the ground, "We just want to know about that incident. We want to know why you have been hiding this from us. We want to help you, Seigen, truly we do."
Seigen was silent for a few seconds as he then looked at them and they saw the tears coming down to his face. He sighed, "Fine, I will tell you, but… please don't be angry when I tell you this." he said as they looked at him.
They were slightly offended by what he said, but the way he said it made it feel like it really did mean alot to him that they won't be angry at him. They all sighed as they smiled at him.
"Of course, Seigen. We won't." said Theodore.
"We will be there for you no matter what."
"You don't have to worry, Seigen, you can tell us, everything." said Kiku and Flame, as all of them sat on the floor with Seigen, who looked around.
He thought about it. There was a part of him that didn't want to tell them his story, remembering his past always hurt him and he hated what happened as it never brought him good memories.
But… there was a part of him that wanted to tell them this, so he could at least, let go of his past and having the weight of the whole world let go of his shoulders, as he could be free, he could be, he could finally be happy with them with no longer thinking about his past.
He looked at them and smiled, "Alright, I will tell everything," he said as then began to tell his story, his parents, his situation at the Lost Incident, everything.
Seigen Futai was an ordinary kid for his age, well if you ignore the fact that he was an expert at computers for someone who is 6 years old, but still, he was an ordinary kid. He hung around with his friends, watched cartoons, played Duel Monsters and liked to play.
Sure he wasn't a very playful kid as he wasn't a very social kid even for his age, so he only had 2 friends to hang around, but he never minded that, nor did his friends for that matter.
For someone so young, he always had a fascination for computers and technology as he couldn't stop and think about them and how did they work as whenever his dad, Gisei Futai, used it for work or to pay taxes, he was always there to see how it worked, from starting it, to a couple of codes here and there, to write and do calculations on them, and he couldn't stop watching it.
Gisei knew that so he let him watch and even help with a couple things about the computer which he didn't even know about and he was supposed to know better than his own son. Gisei was shocked to see how good his son was with computers for someone that was just 6 years old.
The way he met his best friends were at different times. He first met Theodore when he was 5 years old because his mom, Hiroko Futai, and Theodore's mom, Ichika Homura, were friends during their college days, so they had an interesting idea about them meeting and becoming friends, which it didn't quite work so well at first because how unfriendly he looked at the first hour or so, but after that, they did become friends after they realized that they had the same interest in the game known as Duel Monsters.
How he met Kiku was a different story though. When both of his parents were busy, he had to go to a daycare center and saw his best friend, aka his only friend, playing with a girl and since he was a tiny little kid, he instantly thought about cooties. Fortunately about 5 minutes later, they were all cool with each other and they began to hang out more and more.
And it was fun for him. It was the most fun thing he had and he felt so happy to be around people he loved. Parents he loved, friends that he cared for, an environment that he loved being in, everything was so perfect to him and he couldn't be any happier.
He was just a happy 6 year old boy that was about to go to school and hang out with his friend more than before, which he was excited for.
…
…Unfortunately, this wouldn't last long.
Once the first day of school had ended, and when they all went their separate ways to their house, two scientists that wore robes similar to that of the Knights of Hanoi, took him by surprise and they used chloroform, which made him pass out as he was kidnapped.
He was taken to a place he didn't even know where he was as when he woke up, he saw nothing, but a duel disk on the ground, with no bed, no toilet, no nothing. He was all alone, with no one to be around.
He tried his hardest to get out, his absolute hardest. He tried taking down the door with his kicks, but nothing worked, he tried opening it, but nothing worked. He screamed for help. So someone could help him. His friends, his family, anyone.
But he realized that wasn't going to work, nothing worked out as he feel to the ground, with tears in his eyes. It was horrible. He was all alone. Far from his loved ones. The people he cared for.
He looked at the duel disk and it was his only source of entertainment and socializing, so he tried it out as he played a couple of games, but when he lost, something bad happened. Something really really bad. He was electrocuted and then slammed to the wall.
It hurt. It hurt alot. It almost broke his bones, but from the looks of it, he couldn't stop. He had to continue forward. For his freedom it seemed like it.
And that was his schedule for the remaining days he had. Duel, eat and sleep, and it was the most terrifying moment in his life and it didn't even compare. It was scary for a kid, a tiny little kid to be in the Lost Incident. He could eat only when he won a duel, but that still hurt that his life was being played only when he won a duel, like he was just some animal trapped in a cage for someone's amusement.
Not only was he hurt, but he also had nightmares that haunted him for an entire night, in which he couldn't even move a muscle like it was sleep paralysis, and it was horrible. When he lost a game, it hurt him so much that he couldn't even sleep because of those injuries.
He was close.
He was close to losing it. His motivation, his will to live, but then he heard a voice. A voice that he heard that gave him the will to continue, something about it made him feel safe, something about it, just made him more confident.
It gave him the will to continue as he wanted to show those three reasons meant a lot to him and he wasn't going to lose here. Right here and now. He will survive, no matter what.
Granted, it hurt him every time he lost, and the pain never went away, as it hurt him a lot and it didn't go away which was something that hurt a lot. But he had to prevail.
So he could see them again. His friends.
His family.
As then, when he was on the brink of collapsing, he heard them. The police as he heard their concern and they opened the door to reveal several police officers which meant only one thing. He survived.
He was free.
He was free from the hell known as the Lost Incident as he was carried by the police officers wrapped in a towel as he was carried to the hospital.
He was there for a couple of weeks with doctors checking up on him as he had to think about the people he loved. It was getting nerve wrecking that every day, he was getting worried that one day, his parents should be there, but he was wondering to himself.
Where are they? They should've gotten there in the first place, but they weren't there, but sadly.
He had to heard the truth.
A truth that no kid should ever hear when they are young.
They were dead.
They were dead trying to look for him.
That destroyed him and who wouldn't at that age?
It was the most mentally destroying sentence that anyone could hear and it was at a young age for him.
Over the years, he was alone, no family, no one at his home and he basically had to raise himself with no one there for him and even trying his hardest to dodge CPS because he… didn't want to leave his home, the last place where he saw his parents.
It was like their memories were still with him, even now.
And there was when Seigen was finished with his story and their reactions were all filled with different emotions. Flame was at complete shock as he did nothing but look at Seigen which he didn't even know at how much pain he was in.
Sure he knows how much his partner suffered, but he didn't know that was amount of pain both of them had to endure.
Theodore was silent as he knew how much the Lost Incident was traumatizing, but to hear it come out of his best friend's mouth was just anger inducing. Whoever made the idea of the Lost Incident will pay.
Kiku was quiet as she had her mouth covered with her hand. That was the most depressing thing she has ever heard in her entire life. And the fact that not only happened to Teddy, but Seigen as well? That… was devastating.
Seigen was quiet the entire time as he looked at the ground. He finally said it. He finally said something that he was holding for a decade.
They didn't know how to approach this situation.
"Seigen… I want to know something," Theodore began as Seigen looked at him.
"Yeah, what is it?" he asked.
"Why did you not tell us this? For over a decade?" he asked as Seigen gripped his hands.
"Because, I was afraid." they all looked at him with confusing looks at him.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I was afraid of how you would all react if I did say it. I mean, I was holding this secret for over a decade and it was something that I held for years, and something like that can't just be casually mentioned ever. I was afraid that you would hate me for thinking I didn't trust you guys, but I was just afraid to say this." he said as they all looked at him, "Sure saying all of that made me feel lighter, but I don't… I just… I don't know." he said as he looked down.
"Seigen we aren't angry that you haven't told us that we are more," Kiku looked around trying to think of the perfect word to describe this situation, "shocked, upset that you didn't tell us. We want to help you and we want to show it to you." she said as Seigen looked at her.
"Really?" he asked, with hope in his voice.
"Of course we do! We won't judge you at all, heck Teddy was apart of it, sorry for bringing up it," Theodore nodded to show he wasn't offended, "and we don't judge him. We help him, and we want to help you to stop thinking about the past." she said, "We want you to have a better future, so you could be happy. Not just you, but everyone that have been apart of the Lost Incident. I want you to know that. I want all of you to know that."
"I couldn't have said it better than that Kiku," said Flame as he then stood up, showing off his real body that he recovered after eating the databank from SOL Tech, "We aren't fighting the Knights Of Hanoi for nothing for the Cyberse. We are fighting for the safety of those that were involved in the Lost Incident, like you and Theodore, we want to make sure that everyone's future is safe with our mission. I, for one, want both of you to be happy if it makes sure that I don't return to the Cyberse World because I care about all of you. Every single one of you." he said as they smiled hearing that he would risk never seeing his friends again for them.
"They are right, Seigen, we are here not just to beat them, but to make people around us, people that are important like you safe from them so they don't suffer again." Theodore said with a smile as Seigen wiped his tears away with a smile on his face slowly coming up, "We truly do want to help you. And we are sorry that we haven't noticed until now." he said as Seigen took a deep breath.
"No, you don't have to apologize," they all looked at him with shock that he wasn't angry at all when he said that. They would expect that he would be angry that they didn't notice it until now, "Honestly? I am more angry at myself that I am at you guys, so you don't have to worry about that."
"But still… The fact that we didn't notice until now is just horrible to think about. We," Theodore sighed, "sound like terrible friends and I just… we don't want to seem like that."
"I concur with Theodore, I just don't know how we didn't notice it until now, so I hope we can show how sorry we are and we want to show it." said Flame as Kiku nodded.
"Yeah, how what can we do to show it?" she asked as Seigen smiled.
"I don't know, you could, maybe hug me?" he asked as they all looked at him.
They smiled at him, "Sure." they said as Theodore, Kiku and Flame all wrapped Seigen in a hug and it was a warm, calming feeling that Seigen would never get tired of.
Something that he would love to get more of, a hug by the people he cared about, every single one of them as he felt safe and it looked like it was never ending despite it only lasting a minute or so.
After a minute or so, they departed the hug with Flame wiping away the tears from Seigen's face as he smiled at them.
He smiled at them, "Thanks guys, but Teddy, one more thing."
"Yeah?"
"You are buying me a new door."
They all turned to the door that Theodore kicked with all of the hinges gone from it as Theodore's eyes widened and his mouth looked like it was sewed shut.
"Ah. Sure, only if you clean this mess up." said Theodore as they all looked around the apartment and saw how filthy the whole place was, Seigen realized this.
He laughed, "Sure man, let's go." he said as they stood up and began to clean up the apartment, except for Flame who currently couldn't go anywhere despite now having legs, couldn't leave his duel disk.
They could tell that this was like a new page of their story, their friendship as they could tell that it really did help Seigen from it.
In An Unknown Location
Around a place that could be described as a tunnel, but upside down, there were staircases that went around the small tunnel so they could go up and down as data went downwards which looked like it could be used as data of some kind.
Two familiar figures walked down the staircase as one of them were Kiyoshi Kogami and Varis.
"So this was a back up plan if you lost to Soulburner, was it Varis?" asked Kiyoshi as he walked down as son nodded.
"Correct father, this was a plan that I didn't want to come to this, but I am afraid that it had to be done and this is where we can institute the next phase of our plan." said Varis as his father nodded with him.
"I understand, Varis and with this cube," he said as then a small blue cube made out data appeared in his hands, "will be the seed of a new beginning, a world without Link VRAINS." he said as Varis looked at it with narrowed eyes. "No, without the entire digital network, without the internet and the Cyberse World."
"Correct father, and nothing will stand in my, no, the Knights of Hanoi's way." he said as Kiyoshi nodded with his son.
"That's right, Varis, not even the shackles of the dead." he said as he then dropped the cube into the pit as the world of Link VRAINS will realize its end.
Varis smirked. This will go smoothly.
Author Notes:
Sorry this was late, I was in a car accident, lmao.
Nah but for real, I am really sorry that this got here so late. I was too busy watching Black Clover, was on vacation, wrote 2 chapters for both GX: Rewrite and Star Magic: Yuno, had a mini writer's block, wrote a whole Aster vs Alexis one shot and reading the Black Clover Manga, up to Chapter 339.
About this chapter, I HAVE BEEN REDEEMED! Right, Stardust-Maiden and ThunderMarisol? Right? Please say yes, I don't want to die.
Nah but for real, I had to write this chapter because Seigen is an important character in this story and it was important for me to show off his backstory right here and it was in canon this dark. He is Windy's origin and it was important to show that. There was no duel because why would there be? We need to show that these kids are kids, not just emotionless characters.
Also, I wanted to highlight another thing about this chapter. Platonic relationships. As much as I love shipping, platonic relationships are as, if not, more important than romantic and what better way than to show it right here and now? A hug is the best way to show that a person that you love them, both plantonically and romantically, so I wanted to make this happen.
Next chapter is again no duel, I am sorry I am doing this, but if I did, it would be like 17k chapter with all of the shit I am planning on writing, with the Kiyoshi reveal for the rest of the party, the KOH vs the AI bots which were after Gore's duel, Varis talking to his crew, a possible new Skill, all of the Flame talking and a possible new Tuner (Made up, it was made before those Tuners were made.) and Gore.
Wish me luck.
I think that is about it, see ya'!
