Accelerator stared at the blank blue skies with little interest.

With both his hands behind the back of his head he leisurely layed on his back, at the open space of the carriage that was being pulled by two horse's.

"You okay there son? It's pretty hot you sure you don't want some water or somethin'?" The man steering the carriage spoke up. He was around thirty, with short black hair and a light stuble on his face, he had a decent build about him finished with kind black eye's. "I still got some food onboard too if you were hungry."

"I already told you I don't want anything, just take me to your villiage." Accelerator spoke in a somewhat harsh tone though the man did not seem to mind.

"C'mon I'm just trying to show some kindness to the person who saved my life." The man spoke with a smile as he glanced at the boy.

"Tch, you can show your gratitude by keeping quiet."

"Man here I thought kid's couldn't be nearly as cranky as adults." He spoke with a short laugh as Accelerator merely clicked his tounge.

Accelerator thought about his meeting with the man, in actuality he was lucky he had encountered him when he did. He was having trouble finding civilization and finding him just helped to remedy said problem.

"Tch, another dead end." Accelerator spoke as his eye's scanned through the ruined villiage. Doors were broken down and the houses weren't in much better shape, blood ingraved into the ground made the sight of the villiage all the more horrid. There wasn't any sign of life either.

"Those thing's again no doubt." Accelerator concluded as he walked through the small village. It had been two day's since his dilemma started, in that time he had to remain active. He did so by searching for any sign of civilization, though that task proved difficult.

It was already hard to find one of these villiage's and even when he did they all were in the same condition. Completely in ruins with no sign of life, and usually with a number of corpses spread about. But Accelerator noted the apparent lack of corpses in this particular village.

But judging by the smeered blood stains on the ground, somebody dragged them off somewhere. It could've been looters, but this village looked like it had been brought down recently so that probably wasn't the case.

Following the stains of blood it did not take long before Accelerator found himself staring at the culprit. It was an older man, with black hair and eye's, with a tall enough height to dwarf the esper. He was busy burying the corpses, giving them there own makeshift burials. Though the task would prove difficult, the amount of corpses that lied on the ground spread about was simply too much.

Accelerator approached the man who quickly noticed the footsteps, the man turned and a look of surprise graced his face as his eye's landed on Accelerator.

"A kid? Hey it's dangerous here you shouldn't be walking around here." The man spoke up.

"What are you doing?" Accelerator asked merely ignoring the man's statement. The man looked momentarily confused at Accelerator's lack of reaction towards the corpses but nonetheless he spoke up.

"I'm giving these people a proper burial." The man answered.

"Why?"

"Why? Thosands of people like this die to Grimm attacks countless times. Their bodies are merely left to rot or left for wild animals. It's not right, these people deserve a proper send off." The man finished as his eye's sparked with an annoyingly familiar sense of determination.

"Why even bother, they're corpses not like they mind." Accelerator spoke in a bored tone. He still couldn't quite understand people like him, for what reason were they acting like such self righteous hero's? It wasn't as if he would gain anything from burying these corpses, infact no one would even be missing these people. They would merely be forgotten but yet here he was making an effort to bury them.

"A kid your age wouldn't quite get it yet." The man spoke with a slight sigh. "But you know I could use a helping hand, I'm sure these good people would appreciate a proper send off."

"I'll pass. But a word of advice, old man. These 'Grimm' usually take empty villiage's such as these as their nest." With his warning given Accelerator walked off.

The man watched the retreating esper before he picked up his shovel and went to digging. He would make sure all these people received proper send offs.

He really had no reason to do this, that was true. He would not receive some reward nor would he even receive praise. Yet here he was doing it anyway, he gave a short laugh in spite of himself. His wife would probably berate him if she saw him right now.

Though as he continued to work he noticed a large shadow loom over him. His stomach dropped as he spun around just in time to see a Beowolf bringing it's claw down on him. Gripping onto his shovel with both hands he managed to thrust it infront of himself to act as a shield.

It's claw however easily broke through the shovel, snapping it in two. It's claws grazed his chest as he fell backwards, he tried to stand up but was immediately pushed back down by the Beowolf's fangs sank into his shoulder. A gurgled noise escaped his throat as intense pain struck him.

His right hand gripped onto it's face, he tried to pry it off but it was no use.

How laughable this situation was, he was trying to help these poor souls, now he was going to end up the same as them. Tough despite his predicament he would not give up so easily. With his free arm he tried to punch the Beowolf in it's exposed face, yet all he managed to due was hurt his hand.

It was no use the beast held too strong a a grip on his shoulder and the pain was starting to get to him.

He thought to the people he was going to leave behind, all due to him wanting to play hero.

("I'm sorry Emilia, Emily.") He regretted not being able to atleast see his dauther and his wife one last time. But despite the situation he smiled, this Grimm be dammed he would not give into despair.

Though he was not forsaken yet it seems.

A loud bang was heard as the Beowolf atop him suddenly found a hole within it's head, said large hole was steaming due to excess friction.

It's motionless body fell on him, and with some effort he managed to push it off himself. He looked baffled at the dissipating creature as he tried to figure out what happend.

"Should've heeded the warning."

Turning to the voice he noticed the familiar white haired boy from earlier, juggling a few small pebble's in his hand.

"Did you..." His words trailed off as he gripped his shoulder in pain, the wound was deep and blood was pooring out of it.

"Hold still." Walking over to the man Accelerator placed his hand on the wound and as if by some miracle the wound stopped bleeding and the pain was suddenly gone.

"W-Wha-How did you-" Even more baffled the man looked at his shoulder.

"Don't get too exited, I only stopped the blood from flowing out and dulled your nerves somewhat to help with the pain. You'll still have to mend it yourself or it'll get infected." Accelerator advised as he noticed the man's expression of awe.

A beautifully androgynous face, smooth pale skin, pure white hair and clothing, this boy before him...

"Are you an angel!?"

"Ah?"

Flash back end*

And after that Accelerator found himself traveling with the man towards his villiage.

"Wait hold on I almost forgot!" He suddenly exclaimed.

"What now?"

"We haven't even introduced ourselves." He pointed out.

"Tch, Accelerator." He saw no reason to merely hide his name, it would just cause more problems if he acted all secretive.

"Pardon?"

"That's my name." He replied, though if the man thought it was strange he did not say anything.

"Nice to meet ya! Accelerator. Name's Axel and still can't thank you enough for what you did for me." He spoke as he rubbed his bandaged shoulder.

"It's nothing."

"No, really you have my gratitude. Hell if I died my old lady would've probably found a way to kick my ass in the after life." He said with a hearty laugh.

Accelerator stared at the sky as he thought about what he did. It seemed he really was capable of saving the live's of other's. Primarily he had only ever been focused on Last Order's safety. Never did he bother going out of his way to play hero, that was simply a role he could not take.

But he couldn't help but wonder, how was she currently was. Maybe it was possible that she missed him, though he was loathed to admit it he did miss the annoying brat's company. Hell even Yoshikawa and Yomikawa were faces he wouldn't mind seeing, though he was pretty sure he would receive a punch from the latter for going out on a crusade to save Last Order.

Though that reunion would have to wait given that he was no longer in his world. That's correct on the two day's he was here he had discovered just how serious this dilemma of his were. Shoving his hand into his pocket he pulled out the world map of this place, an item he recieved from the many ruined villiage's he passed by.

The map was way diffrent than any that could be found back home. Obviously this was not enough evidence to claim he was somehow on another planet, but the shatterd moon, and strange creatures were also factors to include. Not to mention the small amount of people he met didn't seem that concerned with the state of the moon. His thoughts could not continue for long as Axel's loud voice snapped his attention to him.

"Alright we're here!" He announced as his carriage came to a halt.

Sitting upward's Accelerator was greeted by the sight of the village. It was surprisingly large with various houses spread about, there were even some small shop's around and a few large places, it was a pretty decent looking place but it looked more like a small town than a village.

"Ah, home sweet home." Axel said with a smile as he sat his carriage in a makeshift stall with the horses being allowed rest. Climbing out of the carriage Axel turned to Accelerator with a smile.

"Well this is my humble town, pretty nice place right?"

"Sure, now is there in inn here or somethin'?" He asked, he wasn't exactly keen on sleeping outside, and though he might lack money he was sure he could pursued the owner of the local inn to give him a free room.

"Well we do have one but I'd feel wrong just letting you off without even repaying you. I got an extra room in my house." He offerd.

"And your family is just gonna be okay with some random guy crashing there?" Accelerator questioned.

"It'll be fine, my wife will be ecstatic to have a guest. Especially if said guest saved my life, and my dauther she might be hard to crack. She's usually shy but I'll tell ya what she always wanted an older sister but something tells me you'll do." He joked with a short laugh as the esper sent him annoyed glare.

"Hilarious."

"So you do have a sense of humour."

He merely received a dull look, courtesy of Accelerator.

"I'm home!" Axel announced as he stepped through the door, Accelerator following behind.

"Axel! You're late again, how man-" A women's voices reached their ears but her voice quickly stopped as she noticed her husband's conditions "Axel, good God what happend!?" Said women exclaimed as she rushed at her husband, worry laced on her face.

She appeard to be around the same age as Axel, long jet black hair, a beautiful face with two emerald green eye's finished with a green dress that complimented her eye's. She appeard to be Emilia, his wife.

"Calm down honey, it's not as bad as it looks." he said trying to calm her down.

"Not as bad as it looks? Your whole damn shoulder is bandaged up! What the hell did you do this time!?" She angrily demanded.

"Well a Grimm got the drop on me, and well...bit into my shoulder." He said with a laugh.

"This ain't no laughing matter, you could've died!"

"Yeah I know I could've, but I didn't and it's all thank's to him." He quickly said as he gestured behind him, and Emilia seemed to finnally take note of Accelerator.

He noticed the women's eye's scan him with slight surprise but with a hint of scepticism. Turning to her husband with a dull look in her eye's she spoke up.

"Axel I swear sometimes you say the dumbest of things from time to time. I'm suppose to believe that this frail short-stack managed to help you?" She stated as Axel winced at her name calling.

Accelerator for one didn't care he was used to being called much worse thing's, a few remarks his way wasn't the end of the world.

"Come on Emilia you know this ain't the type of thing I'd be lying about." He said somewhat seriously.

Emilia merely eye'd him for a moment before she shook her head with a sigh.

"If you say so." She answered though her voice was still laced with scepticism. "But if it's true then I guess I gotta thank you for saving this fool over here."

"It's nothing." Came the quick reply of Accelerator. He didn't feel himself deserving of any thanks, he was merely at the right place at the right time. Wasn't like he was going out of his way to save the man.

"Oh right! I almost forgot, but Accelerator here needs a place to stay for awhile. You don't mind if he uses one of our guest rooms right?" Axel spoke up.

"Accelerator? That's your name?" She questioned slightly baffled. She's heard some strange name's out there but practically being named after an object couldn't be fun. But questionable name's aside she addressed the other matter.

"But yeah I guess he could stay. Need to repay him for saving your ass somehow, and besides this way Emily has a new friend to play with." She answered with a smile.

"Great! Then follow me I'll show you to your new room." Axel gestured for him to follow.

Walking passed Emilia, Axel led him to the main hall of their rather large house. They went up the staircase and through the first door on the left which led to a very spacious room.

The room itself was simple in design, a single bed, a wooden chair and desk to the side finished with a caboard and a mirror leaned against the wall.

"Pretty cosy place, right?"

"It's fine."

"Good, now we'll be having dinner at noon so we'll make sure to call you down. And trust me you'll love Emilia's cooking." He said with smile before turning around. "But I won't be bothering you, go ahead and get some rest." Exiting the door Accelerator was now met with silence.

His eye's scanned through the room till it landed on the mirror.

As his eye's latched onto it he parted the few strands of hair that fell on his forehead, he was met with the sight of the small barley visible scare etched into his head. A reminder of what he sacrificed in order to save her. Stepping away from the mirror he plopped himself onto the comfortable bed without the regard of even removing his shoes.

As he stared at the wooden ceiling his thoughts could not hep but wander to his current situation.

"A new world." Even with him uttering those words he could still not wrap his head around the situation. It was absurd, but everything until now simply pointed to that. But if this was true then how would he go about finding a way back?

His brain raced for any semblance of an idea that might remedy his situation. But even with the advance brain of a level 5 he could not think of any logical conclusion. Simply put this entire situation was illogical.

But suddenly Accelerator thought like kicking himself. Obviously his situation wasn't logical, that meant he shouldn't be looking at it from such a standpoint.

He's witnessed all the unscientific events that took place during World War lll, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume him being here was the result of something 'unscientific.'

"Magic." He mutterd the words again.

He knew too little of the subject of magic to be drawing any worthwhile conclusions, but the fact remains that his whole situation could be attributed to this foreign concept.

That could mean with the use of magic he could somehow find a way back, but that was much easier said than done. Magic, was a concept that he barely encountered and not to mention he only managed to use it once and his blood cells had burst from within his body. Were it not for his ability, then he could've very well ended up dead before he could even save Last Order.

Even if he had exstentive knowledge of magic, the fact remains that his body reacted negatively towards it. But then what course of action should he take?

Closing his eye's he mulled over his thoughts. This world was not normal, for the short amount of time he was here he could atleast be made aware of that fact.

Those creatures called Grimm were anything but normal, their existence as a whole just seemed odd. The more Accelerator killed them, the more he was able to study their anatomy for the short amount of time their corpses remained.

They weren't simply some mutated specimens, no their origins must've run deeper than that.

"Tch, I won't be making any progress with just thinking about it."

He needed more knowledge and luckily this town could maybe provide that. It was rather large so maybe he could find a library or another source of information.

But for now that would have to wait, he was tired.

His eye's quickly closed and not a momment later he fell asleep. Some might even gawk at how fast he fell asleep.

His eye's cracked open as the knocking of his door reached his ears. Groggily he sat up on his bed as his eye's lazily turn to the door.

Momentarily his eye's went to the small window of his room, there the dim sunlight shone through.

("Guess it's noon already.")

Getting out of his bed he walked towards the door and quickly opened it to see who it was, but he was met with no one. His eye's scanned left and right but he still saw no one.

"Uhm..."

A quiet voice reached his ears and looking down he was met with the face of the culprit. A small girl around 10 years of age, short black hair and emerald eye's.

In short she looked like a minituare version of Emilia, even finsihed with her own green dress.

("Must be the daughter.") He concluded as he stared at the shy looking girl.

"What?" He asked as the girl just stared at his face without saying anything.

"O-Oh, dinner's ready, papa wanted me to come get you." She quickly spoke up though she stuttered slightly, it didn't take a genius to realise that the kid was probably nervous. She was avoiding eye contact and she was constantly shuffling her feet.

Contrary to Last Order's cheerful personality this girl seemed the opposite given how shy she was being. So for both their sake's he deceided to end of the conversation quickly.

"Fine, I'll be down in a second."

"R-Right." She spoke as she quickly retreated downstairs.

Accelerator merely shook his head as he exited his room. He couldn't help but find his situation odd, he could count the number of times he had a normal dinner on one hand. Yet here he was on his way to have dinner with some random family. He made his way downstairs and Axel's voice quickly reached his ears right after.

"Accelerator! Nice to see you finnally awake, you sure are a late sleeper." He spoke approaching the boy.

"Do you have to be this loud?"

"No, but I like to. Always helps to be energetic, but anyway dinners ready come on." Gesturing for Accelerator to follow they walked towards what looked like a small dining area. One large table was sat in the middle with various chairs lined up on each side.

Emily and Emilia were already seated on their own respective chairs with the food lined up on the table. Steaks, potatoes, salads and other foods layed on the table. It looked more like a minituare feast then some simple dinner.

"I decided to make some extra for today, we do have to celebrate for my husband's safe return somehow. So come on and dig in, don't be shy." Emilia offerd as both Axel and him took their seats.

Accelerator merely mumbled a thanks as everyone started eating. Despite the various foods offerd before him Accelerator merely took small portions, he wasn't one to gorge himself on food. But what he would like to gorge himself on was some coffee, but alas they did not seem to have that.

Heaving a silent sigh he quickly noted how good the food tasted, far better than the frozen junk from Academy City. Were he any less anti-social he would've probably complimented Emilia's cooking.

But he felt a pair of eye's on him which seemed to belong to Emily. She was constantly throwing him slight glances, she seemed to want to say something but refrained. But his attention was quickly grabbed by the sudden laughing of Emilia.

"C'mon Emily no need to be shy, he won't bite."

"I-I'm not shy! I just don't wanna talk." She quickly retorted but quickly sunk into her chair at her small outburst.

"As you can see Emily is a tough case, but she might act shy now but you should see her when no one's around." Axel spoke as he ruffled her hair.

"Dad!" She whined but all she got in response was the chuckling of her parent's.

Accelerator for one wasn't sure how to respond to this situation. The amount of normal conversations he had was rare, he only ever really talked to Last Order,Yomikawa or Yoshikawa but even those conversations couldn't be seen as normal. So all the esper could do was raise his eyebrow at the scene before him.

"But enough embarrassing our daughter, how about you tell us more about yourself." Emilia asked as Emily shifted her personality to one of curiosity.

"There's not much to tell."

"Come on, I doubt someone who's able to easily kill a Beowolf has nothing intresting to tell." Axel cut in.

"He fought a Grimm?" Emily questioned and Accelerator noticed how her gaze seemed to change to one of awe.

"That's right, Accelerator here saved your old man from a Grimm." Axel answerd.

"Are you a Huntsman?" She suddenly asked and the esper could not help but mentally raise an eyebrow.

Huntsmen? Normally he would just assume that she thought he was some Hunter but the way she spoke those words seemed like she had admiration for these Huntsmen.

"Honey, he's too young to be a Huntsmen but maybe a Huntsmen in training?" Emilia spoke up again, and Accelerator grew slightly more confused.

("Great, now I got more questions needing answers.")

"I'm not a Huntsmen or one in training." He gave a curt reply.

"Then are you a traveller by any chance, you seem a bit too young to be traveling on your own though."

"Guess you can say I'm one."

"Really? At such young a age?" Axel questioned as the esper merely shrugged. "Man, when I was your age I was still trying to woe the ladies." He finished with a laugh as he received dull looks from the whole table.

As odd as the conversation was Accelerator could not help but noticed how they neglected to mention why a barley 16 year old boy had no guardian. Perhaps they could easily deduce that he lacked any parental figure. Whatever the case he was glad they didn't pry too much.

"What's that around your neck?" Another question directed at him by a seeminly less shy Emily. And it seems both Emilia and Axel themselves were quite curious as to what the device around his neck was. He couldn't blame them outside of Academy City it must've looked strange, he was just surprised it took this long for someone to point it out.

"Nothing special." He quickly answerd as he rubbed his neck. Despite how advanced it might've been, in this world it held little value. The best course of action would be to remove it but that required an operation needing to be hold due to it being directly connected to his brain. But he could maybe modify it if he had the right tools, but what would he do with it then? Maybe he could find a connection to the Misaka Connection somehow, but that seemed unlikely.

"Looks kinda high tech to me but then again I'm no expert." Axel's voice cut him out of his thoughts.

"I'm guessing it's just an accessory then, right?" Emilia asked as Accelerator nodded his head.

("How very strange.") He thought.

This situation he found himself was quite odd. Just a normal conversation, it didn't even feel as taxing as one might think. This was probably going to be the most normal thing he would be experiencing for a while. Though he would not admitt it but this was a welcome change from all the bizzare thing's he's experienced thus far.

(A/N:This chapter was just primarily to explore Accelerator's thought process on his current situation, but the next chapter will have more action and he'll meet another character . Also note I'll be slightly changing the RWBY verse not so much to completely derail the story the change will mostly be focusing on Grimm and how Accelerator changes certain parts of the world by his presence. And you might note Accelerator seems less aggressive, keep in mind this is Accelerator after WW3 so he isn't nearly as sadistic as he used to be. But given his situation his old personality might creak through.)
