Bruh. 2 weeks. Well. Hear me out!
I had to make the whole damn plot. It took me a week of intense thinking! And I still don't even have the full story!
Later, I had a 3 day break.
After that, I wrote a truelly terible piece of fiction called the original chapter 3.
And after another, like 4 days of not doing the fic, something clicked, and I wrote this chapter!
I was writting this for 4 days btw. (I did say that i write slow.)
And les goo! the biggest chapter yet!
ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
Oh! And i fixed some grammatical thingis in ealier chapters.
Well anyway~
Have a great one!

- Louise's room - morning -
Louise woke up in her room, looked out the window, and saw the morning sunlight. Unlike the moons, the sun felt inviting and calming, yet thretening, as if it can squash her, if it wanted to, it could, admittedly, yet it choose not to. How nice of it.
But something was... out of place...
She didn't feel the familiar pain on her face that had always assaulted her in the morning. Louise found it weird but chosen not to question it. She looked in the mirror. She saw her face... she was without her mask, weirdly her face was as before, without the eerie symobls or exposed muscles or flesh, it was normal and beautiful, as before.
She couldn't do anything but smile.
She put on her clothes in excitement and left the room to the... hallway...
...
Where the hell is the hallway?
Instead of a corridor, a greenish dark void greeted her at the same time as the feeling of being in a dream.
The void didn't feel thretening to Louise, but familiar and iniviting, in an old friend kind of way.
She went over to her desk and took the candle holder. She came over to the void in her door and tried to light it up a little but the light didn't do anything.
She threw the candle holder and heard it hitting the void's "floor".
So it isn't empty but likes to imitate like it was.
Before she could experiment on the void any further she felt it.
It had an ancient felling to it. It felt as if it had a duty to serve and that it wanted to return where it belonged.
It revealed itself.
A cube engraved with strange symbols, one on each side of the cube, in arm's reach of louise. It was iluminated by the morning suns shine.
The strange symbols were actually runes, Louise noticed.
The runes on the cube shined purple, with eldritch and terible energy. Magical particles shaped the same as the runes on it were coming out of the gaps of the carved symbols.
A great feeling of desire overcame louise. She had to have the cube, whatever it was.
But suddenly, before Louise could take the cube a great gate shout of the abyss below, crossing her path. She recoiled her arm back from an outstretched position.
It was the academy's volt gate, she observed.
Seals of great power were carved on it. With small blue lightnings crossing out of one sigil to the next in an unrecognisable pattern.
The desire was great, too great. She had to have it! Just some gate won't stop her! It can't! It can't! It can't!
Before she could do anything, her rooms door closed in her face.
She tried to open the door.
It won't budge.
"Oh that's it!" Louise half whispered.
Louise aggressively opened the door outwards, using more strength than her form could have let on, meeting no expected resistance, she fell on her face. The mask that simmingly wasn't there a second ago, taking the worst of it.
The feeling of being in a dream left her.
"Ow."
"Louise? So excited to see me in the morning?" There she was, Kirche.
"No, I think I just hallucinated."
"It's sure a weird way of saying yes."
Louise sighted, defeated.
"Annoying as always."
"Hahaha!"
Kirche laughed good heartedly.
Louise still had to cover her ears at that.
"Sooo, are you going to just lay there, or are you planning to get up?"
"And what do you think?"
Kirche made a thinking pose. Stroking her metaphorical beard.
"Well... both options seem as likely."
"pfff."
"But, no, really, get up!"
"Sure, sure..."
I got up slowly, brushing the dust off myself while doing so.
Kirche brushed the dust of the areas that I missed and smiled at me.
"We still have time before classes. Want to go to breakfast with me?"
"I already was going to..."
She took my hand.
"Let's go then!"
While I was walking lazely, Kirche was skipping around me. She was weirdly energetic lately. And felt differently, too, that she pays attention now. Kirche feels like... love, now? Ealier she felt like passion and baseless determination.
Was she possessed? Or just blessed? It seemed for the latter option to her. It didn't felt like whatever blessed her, had bad intentions, anyway.
The cafeteria wasn't populated much at this time of day. Only some small groups of three or four were sitting around, and one loner reading a book and drinking tea.
"Oh! Tabitha! So early?"
The loner turned around and looked at us from her seat.
"Yes."
"Truly an aswer for thousand questions. Have you achieved enlightenment or something?"
Kirche was speaking nonsense at this point.
Tabitha just looked blankly at Kirche.
"..."
"I have to interpret it as 'yes', then."
She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand, and smiled.
We sat opposite of Tabitha while the conversation was going.
"Okey! So what to order? Louise, do you think of something?"
"Just scrambled eggs, I suppose.."
"Scrambled eggs... sure. Then, I will take pancakes? Nah. Small spaghetti, mayb-"
Kirche's speech turned unteligable for Louise. Everything deafend, as if every sound was behind a wall.
...?
Then the war horn thrummed through the hall, anouncing the oncoming beast. Heavy stomping of its legs echoed through the cafeteria. Yet no one bat an eye. Louise paled when she saw the thing. A gigant with horns, closed eyes, was now crawling towards her on it's four fingered hands. As it was to big to walked through the gigantic cafetria gates.
She couldn't move as it came closer. Her pupils widened with fear, shaking in her sit, trying to calm her heavy breathing.
Kirche and Tabitha weren't blind to Louise's fear, however. Kierche tried to calm Louise down by patting her head and hair and telling sweet nohings into her ear, while it didn't work.
"Louise! Focus on my voice. It isn't real. Everything is going to be okey... You are better than this! haha..."
Kirche started to panic herself.
"W-well, ymm. Louise, do you remember, yesterday, how we had tea and having fun?"
"We had tea yesterday?"
"Yes! Yes, of course! Tabitha was there and your friend-maid was there too!
"I don't remember any of it."
She thinks about it she doesn't remember a lot, she remembers how she went to tabitha and this morning. But, yesterday? Was there yesterday? The days blend weirdly together to her.
The minotaur-thing didn't leave yet. And was now reaching for Louise with its weird hand.
When the breathing of Louise hitched, there was Kirche's queue for continuing.
"Well... my father told me, when he had hallucination himself, to focus what's real and familiar and sticking to it like your life depends on it. Focus on me, Louise... Please."
Louise obliged.
Louise was now focusing on Kirche, perceiving every detail. Her hair is a little messy today. She focused so much that she couldn't think anymore. There was just Kirche, and that's all there was.
Louise didn't notice when she calmed down or when the monster left.
Louise just started sobbing, quietly, in Kirche's embrace.
"I better just come back to my room." Louise half whispered.
Author notes.
I don't care how the canonical Kirche acts! If it takes just to swap her soul with someone elses to write cute dialogue, then I will surely do it!
Louise, in all fanfics that I read, had no friends. In anime, she also had no friends, only her familiar.
Kirche never interacts with Louise like an actual friend in any of the funfics.
Tabitha is mute as always, and she almost never appears.
And I don't care about the queen. She is just Louise's girlboss or something.
I don't care for the actual facts! That's my canon!
So I went with the flow and I wrote some cute dialogue, while still being on track, somewhat. And no one could stop me! Muhahaha!
