Hi Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters. I hope that you guys are enjoying this story just as much as I am writing it. And I'm actually quite pleased and happy when it comes to where I am in the story now, as we are officially starting day 2 of the story. And even though it took me a while to get here, I plan on making this story worth it. Now, there may be some skips in time here and there; but we will deal with that when it comes to it. Most importantly, I am wondering whether I am going to cover Christmas in a couple chapters or just one. I've yet to figure that out, but you'll find out in due time when I write that day in a few days. But for now, we're going to concentrate on today and how we start this second day in the life of Matt and Alex's family life. Let me know what you think.

Note: Based on the time that I'm starting, today will be a low update day as I instead spent some time planning.

Chapter Thirteen

December 23, 2012 - 6:45 AM: The baby was fed and fast asleep. The dogs were out and taken care of. So why was Matt not able to fall asleep once more this morning? Why was he just lying here, wide awake as he stared at the clock this morning? He didn't feel worried, especially not when he felt so happy at the moment. I mean, how could he not be happy? He had his dream life. He had the woman he loves as his fiancé; he has the son of his dreams sleeping in the crib at the end of their bed, and there was no sounds in the entire house. Hell, even the dogs were being quiet due to the fact that they were already taken out this morning when Alex fed Noah not too long ago. But still, he was wide awake, and he didn't feel like he could sleep at the moment. Was it due to the fact that he felt like something was going to happen today? He had no idea. All he knew is that he couldn't shake this feeling that he needed to be awake right now. That he needed to be somewhat alert right now in case something happened, he just didn't know what. So much so, that he was in fact making the bed shake; due to the fact that he was currently shaking the bed with his leg, keeping Alex awake.

So much so, that she ended up rolling over and moving her hand to Matt's back so that she could check on the man she loves. So that she could see whether he was okay right now, as she was starting to get worried about him. "Hey, you okay Matt?" Sighing, Matt rolled over to look at the woman he loves. The woman he's proud to be sharing a life with. But still, there was just something he couldn't shake at the moment that made him want to be awake. And he already knew that he wasn't going to be able to keep that a secret from the woman he loves, so he decided that he might as well talk to her about it. Talk to her about what was currently going on in her mind, so that they can figure this out together. He then let out a sigh while rolling over to face the woman he loves. "Honestly, I have no idea why I'm awake at the moment." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, clearly able to see that's the case. So, she decided to do what she thought would help the man she loves, which would be to get close to him so that they could cuddle up to each other and just relax with each other. And let's just say that already made Matt smile. It made him smile as he always loved this feeling.

The feeling of the woman he loves all cuddled up to him in bed, as it's where she belongs. She belongs in bed with him, as they relax and take it easy with each other; especially now that they're engaged and have a beautiful son together. And that was why this was so puzzling, because he had it all. He had everything that he ever wanted in life. He had her as his fiancé, he had the son of his dreams, and they had this magnificent life with each other. So, why did he feel this way? Why did he feel like he had to worry about something when that should be the last thing on his mind at the moment. Right now, all he needed to concentrate on was his family and the woman he loves. He doesn't need to think about anything else right now, yet that's precisely what he's in the midst of doing. He's thinking about other things that shouldn't even matter right now. And that was why he was awake. And lucky for him, Alex was awake too; but she wasn't just awake. As she was also kissing the man of her dreams as they held each other close here in bed, something that they were both really enjoying the feeling of at the moment. The feeling of the two of them taking things nice and slow.

And that's all they want to do right now. They want to take things nice and slow with each other, as they cuddle up to each other in bed. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. She loves this gorgeous man she was currently all cuddled up to right now as they laid down in bed with each other and just held each other close. "I love you too babe, which is why I'm worry about you right now. I mean, why are you even awake in the first place?" Matt shrugged, as he didn't know why he was awake at the moment. If it were up to him, then he'd be fast asleep ahead of a busy day. "Believe me, this is the last thing I want to do when today is going to be a busy day." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. And that was due to the fact that they were going to be welcoming Andy and his family here to their home. They were coming today ahead of the snowstorm, so that they can be here when they celebrate Christmas with each other, which may in fact explain just why Matt's awake at the moment. "Maybe it isn't nerves then babe, maybe it's excitement." Looking at his future wife as she said that, Matt thought about what she was telling him right now.

And that would be that, rather than being worried about something, that he was awake right now due to the fact that he was excited; excited over the fact that he was going to be welcoming his brother and nephews over to his place for the first time since they found out that they were family. "Well, I guess that makes sense now." Alex agreed with Matt, smirking due to the fact that she was happy that they had everything together. "And it may also be due to the fact that you're going to be a bit jealous of me today." Matt was confused as he heard Alex say that, as he didn't exactly understand why he would be jealous of her. "And why exactly would I be jealous of you today?" Alex smirked as Matt asked her that question. "Because I get to spend the entire day with Noah, while you're going to have to do something else today." Matt smirked, as that most certainly was the truth; because he was going to be moving his sister to another room, moving his niece in for a bit and then helping his brother move in (while also keeping his nephews calm). And honestly, the moment Alex said that; everything just made sense…just like them being together with Noah makes sense too.

And damn does he love it when things make sense, especially in his personal life. "God, you are so damn smart and sexy." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case as she felt him lean in and kiss her softly. And god, does she love the feeling of his soft lips on hers whenever he gets a chance to kiss her. And right now, that's precisely what the man of her dreams is in the midst of doing. He's in the midst of kissing her as they take things nice and slow with each other. And if he has it his way, this is what they're going to do for a while; and maybe even more. "You know, it's still early. We don't need to get up out of bed for a while." Alex smirked, as that most certainly was the truth. "You are right there Mr. Casey." Matt smirked as Alex said that, before thinking about what he wants right now. "And we may not get many chances to do it while we have family over." Placing her hands on Matt's face, Alex smiled as she started to take things nice and slow with Matt. "Very true again Mr. Casey." Matt just smirked as he heard Alex say that, before rolling over on top of the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world this morning. The woman he craves.

He then proceeded to lean down and kissed her, while also placing his hand on her neck as they took things nice and slow with each other right now. "God, I am such a lucky man." Alex smirked as she heard Matt say that, as that most certainly is the truth was well. He is a lucky man, and she is a very lucky woman when it comes to just how much they love each other; and how much sex they have with each other. And right now, that's precisely what the couple want right now. They want to hold each other close, as they make sweet love to each other; that was an undeniable fact right now. They just didn't know whether it was the right thing to do. "By the way, love our new nightly routine." Alex agreed with Matt, as she loved it too. "I love it too, especially since I love you more than anything in the entire world." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, just continuing to take things nice and slow with the most beautiful woman in the entire world. "God, I hope you know that you are so damn addicting my future Ms. Casey." Alex smirked as she was well aware of that fact, that she is addicting and always makes him want her. "Oh, I always saw you looking at me."

Matt agreed with Alex as he leaned his forehead against hers, while she placed her hand on his face as they both held each other close and took a moment with each other. Took a moment to relax and take it easy with each other, as they have a bunch of intimate fun with each other. "I hope you know that I am the luckiest man in the entire world to have you as my future wife Alex." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case as she started to take things nice and slow with her future husband. "I am well aware that's the case, and I am very proud to be your future wife Mr. Casey." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, all the while leaning in and starting to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. The woman he craves and wants to take things nice and slow with right now. "Just curious, are we going for it one last time before we have to have 8 other people here in our home?" Alex was confused. "Eight?" Matt agreed. "Violet, Christie, Andy, Heather, Ben, Griffin, Jessica, and Anna." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling. After all, her friends are going to be staying for Christmas, which is why they need to do this before they have more people here.

"Right, that makes sense. Wait, it's actually eleven since my parents and sister are going to be coming." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that was the case. However, they aren't going to be staying. "They aren't staying though. So, it all depends on whether they want to take the risk of driving in the snow. I'm sorry babe, but my brother is getting the guest residence." Alex laughed, as that most certainly is the truth. "Oh, I'm not arguing with you there when they have two sons that I want to keep quiet in the morning. I mean, we do have Noah to think about." Matt agreed with Alex, as that was the case. "And we don't know whether he would sleep through much, but we at least know he sleeps through sex." Alex smiled as Matt said that, as she knew what he wanted. "Is that you telling me that you want me in bed?" Matt agreed, as he most certainly does want to have the woman of his dreams in bed. "Oh, it most certainly is. I want to have you in bed babe." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case; especially since she wants him too. She wants to feel him on top of her, as they make love to each other. So, she rolled over onto her back for her future husband.

After which, Matt proceeded to roll over on top of her; while at the same time, placing his hand on the side of her neck as he leaned his forehead against hers. "God, you are so damn sexy." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case as she leaned in and kissed the man she loves softly. While at the same time, Matt moved his hand under the covers and put his hand on her hip since that's precisely where Alex wants his hand to be. She wants his hand on her body, so that they can take things slow with each other as they get ready to make sweet love with each other. And boy is that going to be a lot of fun. Them making sweet love to each other as they hold each other close in bed. "I hope you know that you are the woman of my dreams, and I am incredibly proud to call you my future wife." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "And I feel the same way about you babe. You're the man I love, and the only man that I can ever see myself being with for the rest of my life." Matt agreed, smirking.

After all, that's precisely how he feels about Alex. He feels like she's the only one for him, which is why he's very proud that she's finally his. "I still feel like the biggest idiot in the world for not being with you from the start." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case as she felt him run his hand down her body so that he could take off her underwear. But right now, that's not what they're going to talk about. Not when she wants to take things nice and slow with him as they make sweet love to each other right now, something they were now (almost) ready to do as Matt went to take off Alex's underwear; while she started to run her hands down his toned body to grab his boxers. "Remember to stay quiet babe." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that he needs to stay quiet as he moved his hand to her face and started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. Meanwhile, Alex grabbed Matt's boxers so that she could take them off; and with Matt's help, that's precisely what she did. She took off his boxers before throwing them onto the ground so that they could make sweet love to each other (which is what they want to do right now).

His hand was on their headboard as he made love to her this morning, her future husband taking things slow with her; that you could barely tell that he was making love to her if you were outside. Alex isn't even moaning right now, because rather than have his lips on her neck; he instead had his lips on hers, which is precisely what Alex wants at the moment. She wants to have Matt's sweet lips on hers, as they took things nice and slow with each other; while at the same time, she tried to resist the urge to moan. Something that Matt decided to tease her about as he whispered to her. "Oh, I can see it happening. You're starting to crack babe." Alex agreed with Matt as she placed her hands on his face and continued to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. After all, this is precisely what they both want to do with ach other right now. They want to take things nice and slow with each other as they make love. "God, you are so damn sexy, and this is hard for me to stay quiet." Matt agreed with Alex as he loves the sound of that so much.

He loves it, because it lets him know that he's doing his job right now. He's doing his job by pleasing the woman of his dreams, as they take things nice and slow with each other; while Matt also pleased Alex a bit by kissing her neck and sucking on it. Which led to Alex grabbing the back of his head as he continued to please her right now. "Matt, you are so sexy, I hope you know that." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that he was turning her on at the moment. That he was pleasing her and making her feel happy ahead of them having to share their home with a lot of people; not that it was on his mind at the moment, not when Alex is the only thing that's currently on Matt's mind. Her and this gorgeous body that he was currently making love to. Each and every movement of their bodies in sync being another way the two of them are showing each other just how much they love each other, which is why they decided to take their time and do this right now. Why they decided to make love to each other as they had time to do just this. To be happy.

To be comfortable, to be together in bed with each other as they concentrate on what matters to the both of them the most, which would be each other and the life that they're creating with each other. So much so, that Matt didn't want to stop anymore soon; especially not now that he hand Alex's hand in his and was kissing it ahead and pinning it to the bed, leaving only one of her hands to explore his body. But still, the feeling was the same. It was perfect, it was exactly what he wanted as they had sweet fun with each other. And they didn't care whether they had company over right now, when they instead had this to do; they had time to make love to each other and they most certainly were enjoying the feeling of each other's bodies against one another in the comfort of their bed. So, they just did that for a while. They took the sweet time they have to make love to each other, as they concentrate on each other and made sure that they both knew and understood just how much they both love each other more than anything right now.

But what caught Matt by surprise, was what Alex said. "Vegas, New Year's, Wedding." Placing his hand on Alex's neck, Matt was surprised as he heard Alex say that as that wasn't something he expected to hear. Not when they're in the midst of making love to each other. Or maybe he was just hearing things, which is why he just decided to keep making love to Alex; starting with him bending down and sucking on her neck, which led to Alex putting her hands on his back and just holding the man she loves close to her. "I mean it Matt." That time though, he officially heard it. He heard his fiancé tell him that she wants to go to Vegas to that they can get married. So, he did what he needed to do right now. He rolled off of her and proceeded to lay down next to the woman he loves. "What?" Alex sighed as she looked at the man she loves. "You're not a fan." Looking at Alex, Matt shook his head before extending his hand. "I didn't say that. But come here and cuddle up to me." Alex agreed with Matt, before doing just that for the man she loves.

After which, she slipped her legs in between his and wrapped her arms around his muscular torso; while Matt wrapped his arm around her back and held the woman he loves close to him here in the comfort of their bed. "So, you want to go to Vegas?" Alex sighed as she looked at Matt and placed one of her hands on his face as they both cuddled up to each other and held each other close here in the comfort of their bed, while Matt wrapped his arm around Alex's back and just held the woman he loves close to her. "Hey, what's wrong babe?" Alex sighed as she looked at Matt. "I just think it's soon." Matt nodded, as he understood where Alex was coming from. "Matt, I want Noah to be there with us when we get married. And I just don't know whether I'm okay with him flying yet." Nodding, Matt agreed with Alex before leaning in and kissing her softly. "I understand." Alex nodded. "And even driving, not sure I like that either. Can we just take a step back and breathe? Matt, we're together and that's all that matters at the end of the day." Matt agreed.

After all, that is all that matters at the end of the day. That he has this gorgeous woman by his side as they raise their son together. "I love you Alex." Alex agreed with Matt, kissing him again. "I love you too. But I'd love you even more if you went to run us a bath." Matt smiled as Alex said that. "So, someone changed their minds when it came to us getting sexy?" Alex sighed. "Can I explain?" Matt agreed. "Always babe." Cuddling up to Matt again, Alex wrapped her arms around his before explaining. "I don't want to be that couple who are always all over each other. Always sucking on each other's faces and having sex. I mean, don't get me wrong; I love it more than anything in the entire world. The feeling of your lips on mine, you making love to me. It's paradise. But we're parents now, we're engaged now. We aren't dating, we aren't having fun. This is our life now, and I want to take it seriously." Matt agreed with Alex, as that made sense. "I understand." Alex smiled as she heard Matt tell her that he understands. "Thanks, I appreciate that."

Matt shook his head, as she had no need to thank him for understanding. He's the man she loves, and if she says that she wants to calm down; then she can expect him to understand and follow her wishes. "Babe, you're the woman I love; and I need to honor your wishes. That's all I'm doing right now as I agree to calm things down with you. I'm honoring your wishes, which makes me a great fiancé in my opinion." Alex smiled, as Matt most certainly is a great fiancé. "You're the best fiancé. You are so sweet, kind, and just have the biggest heart in the entire world. When we get married, I'm going to be able to stand by the other women and say, that's my husband. And I'll do it proudly and confidently because of how great of a guy you are, not to gloat that you're my man." Matt smirked. "OK. Let's be honest, you're going to gloat a bit." Alex smirked. "Ok. Maybe a bit, but that's just because I'm going to be the proud wife of the Chairman and CEO of a major corporation." Matt agreed with Alex, before kissing her softly as they held each other.

Which is when he decided to return to the conversation about their wedding. "I want to start talking about our wedding some more. I don't care where we do it. I don't care if it's a big affair, or if it's just the three of us; all that matters to me is that this is the first and last Christmas that I celebrate as your fiancé. Next year, I am celebrating Christmas with you and Noah as your husband." Alex smiled, as she really loved the sound of that. The sound of this being her last Christmas as a Jacobs, and next year being her first Christmas as Ms. Matthew Casey; something which she can learn from Andy about, as that's precisely what he's going to be doing this year. This year is the first Christmas he's celebrating as Mr. Andrew Casey, something he's currently thinking about back in Chicago.

Darden (Casey) Home, Chicago – Just like his half-brother at his home in Mokena, Andy Casey (which is a name that he still can't believe he has) was also wide awake as he sat in the living room of his home rather than be in bed with his wife of eleven years. God, that still sounds crazy; especially now that he knows that his wife didn't marry Andrew Darden, but instead married Andrew Casey. This has just flipped his entire world and he doesn't know where this all leaves them. He has a lot to think about and he's so lost right now, which is something that he has on his mind at the moment. He's thinking about how he feels like such a fraud and how he doesn't even know who he is anymore. He's lost his identity and it feels wrong to even call himself by his name. Is he still Andrew Darden? Or is he Andrew Casey? Who is he right now. That was exactly what he was thinking about, as he tried to be quiet this morning. However, that wasn't what his wife wants as she would much rather have him be in bed with her than have him think alone.

He should be in bed with her, so that they can talk about it together. "Andy?" Turning his head when he heard his wife come down, Andy just looked around as he wasn't sure what he did. "Hey, what time is it?" Walking up to her husband, Heather sighed as she could clearly see that he wasn't okay at the moment. Rather, he had a lot on his mind…something that's been worrying her for the past couple days. Which is precisely why she believed that it was a good idea for them to go be with Matt at his home in Mokena for Christmas, so that they can deal with this together rather than apart as she could clearly see that was what her husband needed. "It's around seven." Andy sighed as he looked at his wife before getting up. "Sorry, did I wake you up?" Heather shook her head as she got close to her loving husband before wrapping her arms around him. After which, she held him close to make him feel better. "I can see that you have a lot on your mind right now, which is why I'm here Andy." Andy agreed with Heather as she said that, grateful for that.

Grateful to have this gorgeous woman in his life, whom he loves immensely. She truly is the best thing that ever happened to him and continues to be the best thing that ever happened to him; because she has been his rock since he learned about all of this. And that was why he decided to get up and make his way over to the woman he loves, so that he can hug her and make her feel loved. "Thanks for coming down here." Heather agreed with Andy as she wrapped her arms around her husband and held him close to her. After which, she looked up into his eyes and proceeded to kiss the man she loves softly. "It's no problem. I love you Andy and I want to be here for you. Just maybe not down here, as we both know this is going to kill your back." Andy snickered as he heard Heather say that, as that most certainly is the truth. "Listen, the boys won't be up for a while. What do you say we go back upstairs, and we can talk about this?" Andy agreed with Heather, as that was precisely what he needs to do right now. He needs to talk to his wife.

He needs to talk to her as they deal with this together, rather than deal with it apart. As the last thing that he wants is for her to believe that he doesn't appreciate and love her enough to talk to her. So, that's precisely what he's going to do when they're upstairs. They're going to talk to one another as they figure this out together, and maybe even just take things slow with each other; as he most certainly is not against the two of them having a bit of time with each other before the boys wake up and disturb them.
