Jamie looked at Eddie and shook his head.

"You're too hard on yourself Eddie. You'll gain patience as we raise this baby girl together. That's a promise. You two are the most important things in the world to me. Ready to introduce her to the rest of the family?"

Eddie nodded and watched as Jamie went over towards the door with Cora in his arms. He then let the first-person in. It was pop.

"There's my gg."

Jamie smiled and kissed Cora's forehead then looked up at pop, trying to hold back his tears.

"Here pop. Get to know your great granddaughter, Cora. Cora Rene Reagan."

Gently placing Cora into pop's arms, Jamie watched them interact.

"Welcome to the family Cora. I'm your great grandpa Henry. But when your older, you can just call me pop. You've got a good solid name. I've brought you your first present, princess."

Jamie eyed the bag on the floor next to Henry.

"Pop, what'd you get her?"

Pop smiled at Jamie and listened to Cora coo at him.

"Open the bag and find out."

Grabbing a hold of the present bag, Jamie slowly opened it. He pulled out a soft light yellow colored dress, he beamed.

"Pop. This is beautiful. Where'd you get this?"

Pop continued to smile down at Cora.

"It was Erin's. I got this dress for Erin the day she was born. Your grandmother insisted we wait until she was born. Then ran down to the children's shop just down the street."

Jamie smiled and then he saw Cora's tiny bottom lip begin to quiver and then her face scrunched up and she let out a wail. Pop gave a small chuckle.

"Someone needs a new diaper."

Jamie held his arms out and pop set her in them.

"Ok baby girl, let's get you cleaned up and into a new diaper. Come with daddy honey."

There was a changing table in the corner of the room and Jamie carried Cora over to it. Unwrapping the receiving blanket, he saw her arms and legs start to flail. She was upset.

"Let's get you clean baby girl. Oof. You are stinky. It's ok honey. Daddy is getting you all clean. Ok. There we go. All clean and dry. Let's get you settled back into your blanket. Get your arms and legs tucked back in here. There we go all nice and warm."

Scooping Cora into his arms, he listened as pop spoke.

Well princess, it was nice to finally meet you. Eddie, you did a good job. You are a strong girl. I'll let you rest."

Pop whistled as he opened up the door, and behind it was Frank who then stepped into the room.

"Son. Eddie. So, this is my granddaughter. What's her name?"

Jamie repeated what he'd done with pop, gently place Cora into Frank's arms.

"Her name is Cora. Cora Rene Reagan."

Frank smiled down at Cora. He'd forgotten what it was like holding his other three grandchildren when they were this age. It'd been a while. The last one was Sean, and it as several years ago now. Now it was Cora's turn.

"Welcome to our family Cora. Just know that you have a very big family, your mom and dad, Aunt Erin, your cousin Nicky, your Uncle Danny and Aunt Linda, your cousins Jack and Sean your great grandfather Henry and I, and 35,000 cops of the NYPD. We will all keep you safe."

Jamie smiled over at his father. He remembered when Nicky was born. Then Jack and then Sean. For all three of them, he was completely in love. The all had their little hands wrapped around his index finger. They were his grand kids. Frank was quick and handed Cora back to Jamie.

"I'd love to spend more time with her, but I know that you two have had a rough week and you need time to recover. This little one needs time to get to know the world."

The rest of the family spent time with Cora, one at a time marveling at her ten tiny fingers and ten tiny nose, and who she looked more like Jamie or Eddie. But they all agreed on one thing: Cora definitely had the Reagan smirk. It wasn't until after the family had left and Cora had been taken back to the nursery that Jamie noticed something was off about Eddie, other than the obvious of the experience they'd just been through. He saw how pale she looked, then looked at the side of her head.

"Eddie, your ear. It's bleeding."

She was confused, this made a pit start to grow in Jamie's stomach. Going over towards the door, Jamie grabbed a pair of gloves and quickly got back to Eddie. Her eye's widened and both her hands went to the back of her head. She swallowed hard when her fingers came back with blood on them.

"Jamie, my head."

Jamie suddenly realized what was going on.

"The bullet… Marty's bullet must have ricocheted off something and hit you. With all the adrenaline you felt you probably didn't even notice."

Rushing to the door, Jamie felt his voice crack as he called for help.

"I need help in here!"

Getting back to Eddie, Jamie was careful with the wound on the back of her head. Eddie was trying to keep calm and Jamie was doing his best to help her.

"What? What do you mean the bullet from Marty hit me?"

Jamie frowned and kept his hand on the back of Eddie's head.

"Shh, don't talk sweetheart."

Eddie wasn't sure what was going on around her as a few more nurses and four doctors joined them in the room. One doctor looked at Jamie seriously.

"We've got it Doctor Reagan."

Jamie shook his head and kept his hands on the back of Eddie's head.

"I want to help Jaxon."

Doctor Jaxon Marcson shook his head no.

"Jamie, its ok. We've got it. We'll take very good care of Eddie. But she needs to go up to the OR."

Eddie looked up blearily at Doctor Marcson.

"Don't throw the bullet away. It's evidence."

Doctor Marcson nodded his head.

"Noted. We'll just remove it and put aside so NYPD can take care of it."

Jamie gave in and took his hands away from Eddie's head, Doctor Marcson quickly replacing his, keeping pressure over the wound.

Jamie sat up in the waiting room on the surgery floor. Eddie had risked her life, not only hers, but their baby girl's as well. She'd been in labor after all when Marty fired his gun on her. As he mulled over the facts in his mind, he barely noticed a hand on his left shoulder. It wasn't until the familiar voice of his older brother Danny shook him out of his thoughts that he looked up.

"Hey kid. I just heard. Any news yet? Eddie killed that son of a bitch, but inadvertently got hurt in the process. Dad has officers posted on this floor and two on the door to her room. She'll get a medal for getting a really bad guy."

Jamie shook his head.

"I don't care about dad handing Eddie some stupid medal Danny. What I care about is that she got hurt. I want her to be here to see Cora grow up. Hopefully have many more kids. I want to grow old with her."

Danny nodded and squeezed his little brother's shoulder.

"I know you do kid. She's strong. She'll pull through this."

Doctor Marcson came through the OR doors and headed towards Jamie. Jamie was on his feet immediately. He listened patiently as Doctor Marcson updated him on Eddie's condition.

"Eddie's out of surgery. She did well. We removed the bullet. She's lucky it didn't hit any major centers of her brain. You can go and see her. We just put her in post-op recovery."

Doctor Marcson didn't have to tell Jamie twice. He was already down the hall and gone. Slowing his pace, he walked into the recovery room with calm and collected patience. Pulling a stool over towards Eddie, he sat down. It wasn't until he ran a hand over Eddie's bandaged forehead that his tears began to fall.

"I'm so sorry Eddie. This is all my fault."

Meanwhile outside, Danny watched as his brother broke down.

"Don't blame yourself little brother."
