Ch 46 The Eternal Emperor Pt 2
"HAAAA!" Tenochtitlan propels her fist, punching Karl der Grobe's Noble Phantasm.
The Mech grabs the first, stopping her attack. "Indeed, the Chaldean master has called upon me to be a match for me," Karl spoke to the City, having a two-way connection between his Servant form and the Noble Phantasm.
"What?" The Pretender was caught off guard by the Anomaly Emperor catching her fist.
"But you clearly out of your league here, Tenochtitlan," Karl said, pushing away the other first she tried to sneak. "You are far away from your home. Here the aspect of Proper Human History no longer exists. Only Patricius and I exist, I reign supreme in the entire Lostbelt."
Tenochtitlan gritted her teeth, her gears strained by the Noble Phantasm's power. "Your Central American no longer exists, thus your power is…is…" The Pretender paused, hearing Karl der Grobe's voice stutter.
"What the?" Tenochtitlan raised her eyebrow, seeing the Ruler's Noble Phantasm reaction to whatever had happened. "This Magical Energy reading, it's dropping, BB, Prometheus, and Violet must've released Hephaestus-" She then heard more cheering from below.
Tenochtitlan saw the Resistance Army cheering, and the Army of Enemy Programs was shut down indicating her assumption was correct. "Now the Enemy Programs have been deactivated, things are going in master's way." She looks back at Karl der Grobe's Noble Phantasm, still glitching.
"If this means we're winning, then I better finish this bout! Pouring more Magical Energy in Mech suit!" Tenochtitlan announced, pushing forward the levers.
The City bounded forward, tackling the other Mecha; however, Karl der Grobe reactivated and countered it.
He grabs hold of both Tenochtitlan's fists, going into the same straining position as before. "Apologies, but the inconvenience you saw is now resolved, thus we can continue our Battle." Karl der Grobe informed the City.
"Heh, I shouldn't be so quick on my feet. All right, I'm gonna give this my all!" Tenochtitlan cried out, going all out against the reactivated Noble Phantasm.
Back on the ground, even though the Enemy Programs have been all deactivated. The Anomaly Emperor and Tenochtitlan is still going,
"B-But we defeated the Enemy Programs, why is Karl der Grobe still fighting Pretender?" A Resistance Soldier asked, looking at the Mecha fight.
"Look, the Cube, it's glowing!" Another pointed to the Cube, glowing a blue hue. "Does that mean Karl der Grobe has another Power Source?"
"R-Ritsuka and the others couldn't defeat Karl der Grobe…"
"Hey, listen up!" Everyone turns their attention to Kagami, standing on top of Koyanskaya's Tank. "Right now, Ritsuka, Louis, and the others are doing their best in their part," Kagami said, announcing to their troops.
"Kagami's right," Gabriel joined in the announcement. "We've done our part in holding back the Enemy here, it's time for us to fall back!" He said, pointing his Cane to the Base. "Fall back to Prometheus Base-"
"Hold on," A voice spoke, prompting everyone to look at who was speaking.
A powder blue-haired Man wearing an Onmyoji outfit walks forward, "You, Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth." Koyanskaya frowns upon seeing the Grand Caster. "What are you doing here, Abe no Seimei? Aren't you supposed to be doing something in your Labyrinth?"
Many whisper among each other, seeing the Caster supporting them for the first time.
Gabriel nodded, as both Kagami and Bunnyx among some Chaldean Servants approached the Grand Servant. "Yes, it's a rare sight to finally meet you in Person, Caster instead of your Shikigami," Bunnyx said.
Abe no Seimei smiles, waving at the Hero of Evolution. "Ah, no I'm afraid you're wrong there Bunnyx." The Caster said, "I'm just using a special Shikigami that projects my image to you all. In any case, there's little time left, and the situation will change quickly."
"Huh? What does that supposed to mean?" Lugh asked, confused with the Seimei's statement.
"You'll find out soon enough, Chaldeans." Abe no Seimei then turns to the Resistance, already informing them of what's to come.
They all nodded, proceeding to evacuate from the area.
Abe no Seimei then turns to the Chaldeans and free Servants he found. "Now, here's the plan." Behind them, Karl der Grobe's Noble Phantasm began to glitch as Tenochtitlan took the opportunity to strike.
"HHHHAAAAAAAAA!" The Pretender pulls back her fist, punching the Mecha back,
Back within the Mech, the room cracks and the power that was being transferred to the Throne Room was cut off. However, Karl der Grobe still retains enough power to rival a Lostbelt King. "Wise move to cut me off from the Moon Cells, Heroes of Paris." The Ruler's eyes gaze upon the Teenage versions of the Heroes he got rid of.
Louis got up, and Ritsuka stood beside him as his eyes laid on his Parents. "Mom! Dad! You're here!" He exclaims.
"Ladybug and Chat Noir, that means they've defeated Chat Blanc," Ritsuka said, taking note that a certain Counter Guardian wasn't with them. 'So Ruler did her part, I see.'
The Hero of Destruction turns to the Chaldeans and his Son. "Hey, sorry we're late." Chat Noir grins, "It was hard getting inside the Palace."
"Either way, you guys are always welcome to join us," Ritsuka stated, happy to have his Allies he made to be here.
Ladybug and Chat Noir nodded, and stood before Karl der Grobe, "So, you're the Father of Europe, the King of France at one point. And Charlie's other self." Ladybug said, looking at the grey-haired Servant.
Chat Noir's eyes then saw a glimpse of John, lying on the ground with a slash across his chest. "Assassin…then that means-"
"Yes, your assassination attempt failed. It won't work with me despite having the perfect Noble Phantasm to kill Tyrants." Karl der Grobe explains to the two newcomers, "I'm still the Anomaly Emperor of Patricus, as long as I'm the Emperor, nothing will defeat me."
"Our World doesn't need any Emperors! We live long without an Emperor to rule over us!" Ladybug stated, glaring at Karl der Grobe. "You, Karl der Grobe believe that Humans need to share one mind to achieve a perfect Civilization. But you're wrong!"
Karl raised his eyebrow at the Hero of Creation. "You, the one who holds the Ladybug Earrings of Creation. You speak as if you know what a perfect Civilization is." The Ruler stated, raising his head. "And yet you have no clue what it's like to rule over countless People whom you sacrifice everything for, who you have to make harsh decisions, only to have them betray you in the end."
The Ruler of the Eternal Empire raised his head, "You two have experienced betrayal and clashing conflicts in your World." Karl der Gorbe said, continuing with his line of questioning Heroes. "So, tell me. Why are you fighting for a World that constantly fights against you? Why do you protect the People who will betray you in the end?"
Ladybug remained silent; she knew that what the Anomaly Emperor said was true however, "Even so," The Command Seals on Ladybug's hand started to glow.
Xu Fu took notice of the sudden spark of Magical Energy from Ladybug, prompting her to inform her master. "Master, Ladybug's Command Seals." The Alter Ego points to the Hero of Creation.
"I see it," Ritsuka said, recognizing the light from her hand. "It's the same when we fought Machiavelli in the Present."
"Even so," Ladybug glares right back at Karl, "I rather believe there's a chance where People will forgo their differences for a common goal," She stated, "On their own,"
Chat grins, seeing the Personality that made him fall for her. "That's the Ladybug I know." He commented.
Unbeknownst to them, the moment Ladybug said those words. The reason why she protects her Home, even to the Eternal Empire, causes a reaction.
Ladybug's Command Seals glowed brightly, the Mana still lingering in the Throne Room reacted to the Command Seals, calling forth a Hero on Ladybug's behalf.
"What the!?" Nero looks at herself, seeing her body glow. "What is happening?" She asked.
Charlie's body began to glow too, "It's happening to me too!?" The Saber added.
Outside of the Mech, Constantine was having the same reaction as the Emperors. "Constantine, your Body is glowing." Akutagawa pointed out to the former Leader of the Restoration Realm.
"What's going on?" Gabriel asked, curious about what was happening to the Emperor. "Cast-I mean, Abe no Seimei, what is happening?"
The Grand Caster grins as the rest of the Resistance and Chaldean Servants prepare for the plan, he told them. "It's a Chain Summoning, many Emperor Servants, including the ones you Chaldeans brought, are all Catalyst for a Servant capable of aiding to defeat Karl der Grobe." Abe no Seimei taps his finger on his chin,
Gabriel's eyes widen, "Another Servant Summon? Now of all times!?" He asked, surprised by the plan the Grand Caster Candidate was working on.
"If I remember, the Heroic Spirits from the Atlantic Lostbelt in Olympus use something similar to defeat Zeus." The powder blue-haired Servant said,
"So what I must do to give master and the others victory?" Constantine asked the Grand Servant, wanting to know how to help Ritsuka.
Abe no Seimei smiles, pointing to the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. "All you need to do; Emperor Constantine is to stay here and continue with the preparations." The powder blue-haired Servant said, advising him on what to do.
Constantine nodded, returning to his duty as a Chaldean Servant. "Of course, this way everyone!" The Rider commanded,
Abe no Seimei smiles, seeing the Leylines around the Empire begin to glow. "Now, it's time to welcome the First Emperor,"
Back inside the Mech, Ritsuka saw the entire Throne room begin to glow. "The Magical Energy in the Throne Room…" He said, observing what happening.
"Indeed, the Magical Energy gathered in the Throne room is being used against Karl der Grobe." Moriarty smiles, turning to Xu Fu. He has a plan in mind, and he needs the Alchemist's assistance.
The Alter Ego nodded, preparing to follow the Ruler in his plan.
In a certain Facility, the Summoning Circle glowed brighter before bursting into a beam of light. The beam burst through the Facility's roof, soaring through the sky, and blasted its way into the Mech.
"W-What is this Magical-" Karl der Grobe sensed a powerful Spirit Origin heading this way.
The ceiling collapsed as a beam of light landed in front of Ladybug and Karl der Grobe.
Ladybug closed her eyes, the light was really bright as the Servant materialized in front of her, "W-What just-"
"Ladybug, look…" Chat opens his eyes, seeing the Servant that appeared.
The bluenette Hero saw the Servant, he had red hair, and silver armor with red and golden garments. In his hand was a flaming Sword similar to Nero's.
"Many Heroic Spirits have gathered here, many were Emperors, those who served Emperors, and those who were there for the first rise of Empires fell." A voice spoke out from the smoke, "Their sacrifice has led me here to assist, Proper Human History. As such, they are Romans in my eyes,"
Nero stood up, recognizing this aura. "I-It can't be…but it is!" She smiles, remembering his face from statues of him. "It's…"
The Servant raised his head, glaring at Karl der Grobe. "I am the Saber Servant, Gaius Octavius Caesar, the First Emperor of Rome!" The red-haired Servant exclaims, revealing his True Name. He smiles, seeing that his name is long, "But call me Octavian, Augustus, or Aug."
"Emperor Octavius Ceasar!" Ritsuka exclaims, recognizing the name. "The First Emperor of the Roman Empire, Octavian was the one who founded the Roman Empire and led the Empire that future Emperors followed. He made many reforms and Laws based on his Uncle, Julius Caeser's plans."
"He also rebuilt and restored many Temples and Structure of Rome which made the Empire flourish." Nero continued, admiring the work of her predecessor. "Umu, umu, truly someone fitting for the title of the First Emperor of Rome!" The Saber Servant exclaims.
Ladybug blinks, seeing the Saber before her. "Amazing, you Summoned your very own Servant like us, My Lady!" Chat exclaims, smiling at the Hero of Creation.
"But I didn't Summon-"
"You did." Ladybug looks up at Octavius, seeing him look at her. "You Summoned me, my master. Your voice and your spirit have guided me to aid you in this fight and the mere fact you hold the Ladybug Earrings I wore during my Regin is proof you Summoned me." He said, sharing information crucial to the two Holders.
Ladybug and Chat's eyes widen at what he said. "Does that mean you were once…a Miraculous Holder?" She asked, wanting to know if she heard it correctly.
Octavius grins, his grin giving Charisma to whoever sees it. "Yes indeed! As a fellow Holder of Creation itself, I shall help you protect your World!" The Saber said,
Karl der Grobe frowns, seeing the red-haired Saber. "You think you can defeat me. I am Karl der Grobe, the Holy Roman Emperor and Father of-"
Octavian smiles, chuckling at the proclamation that Karl made. "Yes, you may be the Holy Roman Emperor. However, I am the First Roman Emperor." The Saber said, pointing his flaming Sword at the Ruler. "As such, my mere presence can ensure that your Authority no longer exists! For anyone who is against Rome, is not Rome itself!"
With that simple sentence, the power that Karl der Grobe once held was declining. The voice of the First Roman Emperor has made his proclamation, and now Karl der Grobe is a regular Ruler.
No power boost, nor title, he is now a Servant still having Magical Energy from the Moon Cell. "DAMN YOU!"
Karl der Grobe leaps forward, raising his Sword. "Even if you remove my status as an Emperor, I still have enough power to fight!" He stated,
"Octavius!" Ladybug cried, her Command Seals glowed. "Damnit, he still has more power left."
"I thought I severed his connection with the Moon Cell from the Throne," Chat asked, confused about why Karl has more power still.
John coughs, pulling himself to the two. "You did, just he stored up a lot of Magical Energy." The Assassin said, informing them what needs to be done. "Remove that Energy and you'll win."
With Karl's Sword falling down on the Saber, Octavius raises his Sword in response. "HA!" He slashed away Karl's Sword, and sparks of flames scattered. "Master of Chaldea, your assistance is needed!" He called for Ritsuka, using his Sword to trap the Anomaly Emperor. He heard what the Assassin said, hoping Ritsuka heard it.
"Right," Ritsuka stands up, seeing the chance they needed to fully end the Eternal Empire. "Xu Fu, use your Noble Phantasm!" He looks back at the Alter Ego.
Xu Fu flinched, hearing it was her time to shine. "H-Huh? Oh, right," She held her hands, speaking her chant. "Eternal youth, immunity to death. Those are the ultimate wishes of man." A Taoist Circle appeared underneath her, Taoist Talisman came from her and circled around her hand.
"To stay young, to stay alive. We don't want to age," A Yin and Yang symbol appeared, pointing to Karl der Grobe, still in combat with Octavius. She looks up, her hands glowed.
"For that reason, I Present you the Elixir of Immortality!" A beam of light hurls towards the two Emperors.
Octavius grins, pulling Karl to the beam. "GAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Karl screams in pain, feeling his power diminish and his strength weakens.
Xu Fu smiles, "Here, down it in one gulp." The Alter Ego took a look at Karl der Grobe's status, seeing his stored-up Mana from the Moon Cell was removed. "There, Karl der Grobe's connection to the Moon Cell is gone, he's now a regular Ruler!"
"Thanks Xu Fu, you did great!" Ritsuka said, causing her to blush.
Nero and Charlie stood up, raising their Swords to fight. "Master, your orders!" They called for his command.
Ritsuka held his hand, "By my order, defeat Karl der Grobe once and for all!"
The two Servants dashed forward, leaping for Karl.
"Say, Charlie, ready to retake your power?" Nero asked, swinging her Sword against Karl.
"NGH!" Karl deflects the strike, but instead of powering over it, he is pushed back.
Charlie came in from behind the Anomaly Emperor, slashing him. "Indeed! This is where I have my payback!" He exclaims, rushing towards him.
"Charlie!" Ritsuka held his hand, giving some extra Mana to his Grandfather. "Kick his ass, Charlie! Show him what you got!" He cheered on his Family member.
The King of the Franks smirks, "You got it, Ritsuka!" He swung his Sword at Karl, boosted by Ritsuka's support.
The Ruler quickly retaliated by blocking the strike with his Sword. Even though he lost his status as Emperor and lost a significant amount of Magical Energy from Hephaestus and the Moon Cell, he still has his Sword skills.
Karl was sent flying back to his Throne, where Hephaestus and Prometheus observe the Battle for Humanity. For Gods who sided with Humanity, it's only right to witness the Battles that hold the Fate of Humans.
"I shall not be defeated!" Karl huffs, feeling the effects of being stripped of his Authority. "No matter what, the Eternal Emperor, the Eternal Emperor shall live!" He stated, kneeling with the help of his own Sword.
Octavius closes his eyes, swiping his Sword to the side. "An Empire is not meant to be eternalized. It's meant to be a beacon, an inspiration for future Civilizations to be based on." He stated.
Nero stood to the side, still in a Battle position. "Umu, indeed, Emperor Octavius! The only Eternal Empire I see is the one we protect." She looks to Ladybug, Chat Noir, Louis, and her master. "And that is Humanity!"
Charlie leaps back, standing to the left side of the Throne room. "Regardless of their different views!" The Pseudo-Servant stated,
"Foolish ideals, childish dreams! Everything you spout is nothing but Evil!" Karl exclaims, rushing forward and raising his Sword at the First Roman Emperor, thinking with him gone he can retrieve his Authority. "HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!"
The red-haired Saber waited as Karl der Grobe was above him, inches away from killing him. "Octavius, move out of the way!" Ladybug cried out, giving the signal. "We have him where we want him."
"You got it, master!" Octavius leaps to the side, revealing Moriarty standing behind him.
Karl der Grobe's eyes widen, seeing the Crime Lord. "Now, that your Holy status is removed and still have malicious thoughts about Human History, I can step in." Moriarty smiles and has the advantage now.
"Mathematics governs and evil grows… My evil will devour evil," Morarity floated up, and monitors appeared around the Throne room, showing the status of Karl der Grobe. "And embody the ultimate evil!"
Moriarty then sat on the throne; he raised his hand on his face, covering it. "Mathematical Malignant Annihilate!" He opens his arms, projecting his Noble Phantasm. A light engulfs Karl der Grobe, causing him to scream as the Evil he bore of his thoughts of Humanity vanishes,
The Crime Lord grins, "Be squashed by the gold, worm."
The light flashes in the Throne room, even shining through the Mech that was still fighting.
Outside Tenochtitlan saw Karl der Grobe's Mech paused, light shining within it. "That must be Moriarty, right." Not taking any moment to rest, the City pulls back her arm and propels her fist. "HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!"
With a single strong punch, Tenochtitlan manages to bring Karl der Grobe's Mech down to the Earth, defeating the terror the Parisians feared. "Finally, he's down." The Pretender lets out a loud groan as her Mech bursts into light, returning to her Humanoid form.
Off in the distance, Felix observes the entire fight between Karl der Grobe and the Chaldeans. "Well, that was disappointing. I was expecting a grand explosion. Oh well," The blonde smiles,
"Master, the ritual is all set." Dorian Grey smiles, walking up the stairs, leading to what used to be the square for the Eiffel Tower. Now it serves as the entrance to the Moon Cell and whatever it lurks inside. "Now that the Emperor is no longer part of the picture, are you ready to bring about destruction to your World?"
Felix looks down at his hands, he is ready to bring destruction to his World. He clutched his hands, thinking of the life that should've been his.
Adrien, his Cousin has the life he wished for. Even though his Mother was gone for a while and his Father cold too, he still has his happily ever after.
He has a Father who abandons him and a Mother who is also there but never really pays attention. He growls, angered by what should've been his. "Alright, let's bring the Age of Destruction to Paris," He grins, waiting for this moment since he became the Anomaly master.
The master and Servant walk down the stairs, deep within the Moon Cell where a slumbering Titian in a brace position, connected by many large wires and Magical Energy tubes awaits to be awakened.
