Hey guys! Sorry for the wait for the next chapter.

I know that it's summer time, but I haven't been able to keep up with all of my fanfiction, so I'll aim to post at least one chapter every 2 weeks for all of my stories, but I'll try my best to make the chapters longer.

Also, thank you so so so much to Worldnotesongs88 for favoriting this story! I would also like to thank A Challenger Named John for favoriting this story! That means so much.

That's all so . . . here's chapter 3! Enjoy!

The rangers' views . . .

Izzy froze. "Was that a dinosaur?"

The six rangers scouted the jungle and ocean around them.

"There can't be dinosaurs on this island," Ayaan said through gritted teeth. "Dinosaurs are prehistoric."

"Um . . . yes there can be," Javi corrected. "We're dino fury rangers. We practically live with dinosaurs."

"That's different. Our zords aren't alive. They don't have real dino DNA," Ayaan argued.

"They are alive in a different way," Javi retorted.

"How so?"

"Well, they can hear us when we talk."

"We talk to our morphers. That's why they can hear us."

"Still, they can hear and obey us. That's alive enough, isn't it?"

"Well–"

"Will you two stop arguing?" Amelia butted in, attempting to break up the two.

"Ya, it's getting annoying," Izzy added.

"Why don't you two have your own opinions about whether there are dinosaurs on this island or not," Ollie hesitated. "Hopefully Ayaan's correct."

Javi snorted, then softened. "Actually, I hope he's correct too."

"We have to keep our eyes and ears peeled in case anything strange comes into view or earshot. We can't spend our time arguing, am I right?" Zayto stated.

The rangers chuckled.

"How about we walk around a bit and check out this place?" Ollie suggested.

"Why not?" Everyone shrugged.

"The jungle's beautiful," Zayto breathed. "It reminds me of Rafcon. We had a beautiful jungle there too."

Ayaan showed a sympathetic smile. "Maybe it feels like home again?"

"In a way," Zayto agreed.

The rangers trekked through the jungle for a few hours, taking in the beauty and eating off the fresh fruit trees and bushes, but they didn't cross paths with a single dinosaur.

"This place is lush," Izzy commented, taking a greedious bite into a peach.

"You got that right," Amelia acknowledged.

"So . . . do you guys have any idea how to get home?" Ollie questioned.

The rangers hopelessly glanced at their coms.

"Mine cracked," Zayto offered.

"Mine too," Ayaan agreed.

"Mine just straight shattered," Amelia butted in.

"Ours are fine," Javi spoke for Izzy and himself. "Should we see if the teleport system will work?"

The rangers anxiously nodded.

Javi turned his com clockwise and tapped with two fingers. Nothing happened. "There must be something messed up on the inside. Javi played around with his watch.

"No kidding. Mine's not working either," Izzy said.

The rangers exchanged nervous looks.

"What should we do?" Amelia asked after a moment of concerned silence.

"Ummm . . ." Zayto started, "We should find somewhere to stay for the night."

"I didn't notice that the sun was setting already," Ayaan noticed.

"Oh ya," Amelia let out a giggle that turned into a frown. "Are we just gonna sleep out here in the jungle?"

"I don't think we have much of a choice," Ollie responded, disappointed.

"I saw some big fern plants not too far back. I could gather some as temporary bedding?" Javi put in.

"How far back?" Izzy inquired.

"Half a mile," Javi replied.

"Okay. Don't be long," Zayto said and waved him off.

Javi nodded and scampered off into the jungle.

The other rangers scouted out a good area under the shade of trees.

Once they found an acceptable tree, they began clearing the twigs and stray leaves and bark from the ground they intended to lay in.

Javi strolled amidst the trees. He came to a plain of tall grass, which he needed to cross in order to reach the wide ferns. He anxiously stepped into the high blades, fearful that something was hiding inside them.

After a few scary minutes, Javi made it to the plant and picked six of the large ferns, and strutted back the way he came.

About half way there, Javi felt something nipping at the hem of his jeans. He looked down immediately and spotted a compsognathus chewing at his denim pants. Javi resisted the urge to scream and attempted to bolt across the tall grass field, but another compy caught his other leg and he tripped, falling to the ground.

Javi was letting out muffled screams by the time the compies made it to his hands and began chewing the flesh off. A third came from nowhere and looked straight into the black ranger's eyes for a long moment before slashing a gouge on the side of his face.

A sudden growl made the compies look up for a moment before skidding off back into the jungle.

The temptation to slip into unconsciousness was coming. Javi was letting his eyes slip closed, but the same growl shot his eyes back open.

Weak legs stabilized his injured life form.

Taking baby steps, Javi slowly made it back, not safe and sound.

The other rangers' bright colored clothing popped into view. Javi smiled with relief, clutching the ferns he collected. He walked straight into their sight.

Izzy just finished kicking pebbles out from under the tree when she heard footsteps, causing her to look up, only to see her brother's unkempt form. "Javi!" She screamed, rushing to his almost passed out body.

The others looked up at her terrified scream and their jaws dropped. Blood-soaked clothes were hanging off Javi's skin and the gouges on his hands and face looked more horrifying than ever.

"What happened!" Izzy yelled, supporting her wounded brother. But Javi was in no state to speak.

Now he felt safe to lose consciousness. The blackness came closer and closer, until no color entered his eyesight.

"Javi! No, no, no!" Was Izzy's last scream before Javi was plunged into darkness.

That's the chapter! I don't feel motivated to write my stories in the summer so I don't know how I'll fare when school starts soon. But that's why I haven't posted in two months. So sorry!

But I was thinking about putting this story on hold for about six months or at least until I wrap up my other stories. I won't straight up quit the stories, but I might put some stories on hold. But if you don't want me to put this story on hold, then let me know in the reviews and I'll see what I can do to keep this story going.

TBD when the next chapter will be out depending on what you guys want me to do! Thanks for reading! Please review!
