Hanzo was at Team Ro's training ground practicing throwing his Shuriken, Kunai, and Senbon. He was struggling to hit all 10 Kunai on the bullseye; he was averaging around 4. Hanzo liked Ro's training ground more than training ground 20. It had much nicer stuff but that was the perks of being an Anbu he guessed. Hanzo technically wasn't supposed to be here; he really wasn't supposed to be on any training ground let alone Anbu training grounds but his father was out on a B-rank mission for about a week.
Flashback.
Hanzo was sitting on the couch watching TV thinking about cool shinobi stuff when his dad came through the door he had some meeting with the Hokage.
"Hanzo," Kakashi said.
"Yes, Dad?" Hanzo asked.
"How old are you now?" Kakashi asked.
"I'm 2 almost 3!" Hanzo said.
"Right and now you're a big kid," Kakashi said. "Dad is still a shinobi and needs to serve his village, but that means leaving it for a few days."
"Oh…" Hanzo said. "How long could you be gone?"
"2 weeks at most," Kakashi said.
Hanzo looked at the ground with sad eyes.
"But that's a long time…" Hanzo said. "What am I supposed to do even when you're gone…"
Kakashi thought about it and he really only came up with one thing that always kept Hanzo's attention, shinobi stuff.
"Well you could train your Kunai, Shuriken, and Senbon while I'm gone," Kakashi said.
"Really?!" Hanzo asked.
"Yeah, I got you a set a long time ago, just been waiting for the right time to give you it," Kakashi said. "Wait here."
Kakashi walked into the bedroom and made a shadow clone.
"Go buy enough Kunai, Shuriken, and Senbon for a full set," Kakashi told the clone who shinshunned away.
Kenzo Ten was sitting in his weapons shop when a masked man with silver hair walked in.
"Kakashi?" Kenzo asked. "I haven't seen you in years, what can I get for you?"
"I need a full set of Kunai, Shurkiens, and Senbon." Clone Kakashi said. "As fast as possible it's a big emergency."
Kenzo grabbed all the items as fast as possible and clone Kakashi paid for them.
"If I may ask," Kenzo said. " Who are these for?"
"Just the most important person to me." Clone Kakashi said and shunshinned away
"Always mysterious, that boy." Kenzo thought with a smile.
Kakashi grabbed the items and the clone dispersed. Kakashi opened the bedroom door and saw Hanzo standing right outside it.
"What took so long?" Hanzo asked.
"What good is a gift if there isn't suspense," Kakashi said and gave Hanzo the equipment.
Hanzo giggled and took it, he put on the holder first then put all the Kunai, Shurkiens, and Senbon where they went.
"Thank god he is a kid." Kakashi thought as he watched Hanzo put everything in place. "Wait, how does he know where everything goes? Eh, it's probably nothing…"
"You like them?" Kakashi asked.
Hanzo ran over to him and gave him a hug.
"It's awesome!" Hanzo said. "Thanks, Dad!"
"Anytime," Kakashi said. "Now let's go teach you how to use these."
Kakashi grabbed Hanzo and shinshunned to training ground 20, he was supposed to leave for his mission 10 minutes ago but he could be a little late.
"Ok, so how do I do it?!" Hanzo asked.
"Someone's a little excited," Kakashi said.
"Of course I am!" Hanzo said. "You're teaching me shinobi stuff!"
Kakashi laughed and gave Hanzo a head pat.
"You ready?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes!" Hanzo said.
Kakashi showed Hanzo how to use the weapons, and Hanzo seemed to pick up stuff very quickly and tried to do it but failed miserably. He ran over and grabbed the Kunai and then tried again.
"Ok," Kakashi said. "I gotta go."
"Ok…" Hanzo said.
Kakashi walked over and gave Hanzo another head pat.
"If you're going to train, go to Ro's training ground in the Anbu headquarters. I don't want you out here with no supervision, Also I sent 2 shadow clones to the house to make 2 weeks' worth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner," Kakashi said.
"Love you, Dad," Hanzo said.
"Love you too Hanzo," Kakashi said before running off.
Flashback end.
Tenzo and his squad were making their way to their training ground, they were team Ro. It consisted of Itachi Uchiha, Ko Hyuga, Yugao Uzuki, Tenzo, and finally Yoji Aburame. They arrived and Tenzo saw a little boy with silver hair throwing Kunai and struggling to hit the target.
Tenzo walked up to the boy frustrated that this was taking up time.
"Hey, who are you?" Tenzo asked. "And why are you at an Anbu training ground?"
"Ah!" Hanzo said, startled by Tenzo. "I was just training…I'm sorry."
"That doesn't answer my question: why is a little boy training in the Anbu headquarters?" Tenzo asked.
Hanzo was very frightened by this man, he had only ever really been around Kakashi for more than 5 minutes and now this man was yelling at him. Hanzo held his head down while he got scolded.
Yugao, seeing what was happening, walked over to intervene, her captain had no clue what to do with a kid.
"Captain." Yugao said.
"What?" Tenzo asked.
"The kid is frightened. Let me try and talk to him," Yugao said.
Tenzo looked at the boy who was shaking a little and staring at the ground.
"You try," Tenzo said, feeling a little bad.
Yugao kneeled in front of Hanzo and asked.
"What is your name?" Yugao asked.
"Hanzo.." Hanzo said.
The rest of Team Ro walked over interested in the boy, especially Itachi who had a little brother his age at home.
"Can you tell me your full name?" Yugao asked.
"Hanzo Hatake…." Hanzo said.
"Wait what?" Ko asked. "What is your last name?"
"Hatake…" Hanzo said.
"Does your Dad wear a mask and have a red eye?" Ko asked.
Team Ro were all waiting for the boy's answer with a lot of anticipation.
"How do you know so much about my Dad?" Hanzo said. "Do you know him?"
Tenzo's jaw dropped as well as Ko's while Yugao flinched Itachi remained stoic as ever but was surprised that Kakashi had a son and Yoji already knew about it he had overheard Danzo getting a report about a boy who came into the hospital with Kakashi and he had apparently unlimited chakra whatever that meant.
"That sly dog!" Ko said with a smile.
"It all makes sense why Kakashi quit Anbu and why he doesn't have any time anymore…" Tenzo said.
Hanzo, reading the room, decided this was his chance.
"Can I watch you guys train?" Hanzo asked.
"Uh.." Tenzo said not knowing what to say.
"Sure," Ko said. "Come on, let him watch, he is Kakashi's son."
"Fine…" Tenzo said.
Hanzo walked over to the edge of the training ground, sat down and watched them for the entire time they trained. After they were finished Hanzo walked over to them and bowed.
"Thank you for letting me watch," Hanzo said.
"You're welcome." Ko and Yugao said.
"I guess I'll go home now," Hanzo said and started to walk away.
"Wait," Tenzo said. "How are you going to get home?"
"I was going to walk," Hanzo said.
"You can't go alone," Tenzo said. "Itachi go with him."
"Understood," Itachi said.
Hanzo and Itachi walked out of the training room and started to walk through the halls of Anbu.
"Do you perhaps live in Anbu?" Itachi said after Hanzo had made his way through the halls without any hesitation.
"No, I live with my Dad," Hanzo said.
Itachi just nodded and followed Hanzo, who led him to Kakashi's apartment in Anbu.
"Thank you for walking me home," Hanzo said.
"You're welcome," Itachi said.
"Why don't you stay for dinner?" Hanzo asked. "Please?"
Itachi couldn't say no to that, Hanzo looked so lonely.
"Sure," Itachi said and walked into the house.
Itachi walked in and noticed that it was very empty, there was a TV and a couch but that was it in the living room and the Kitchen was standard.
"The reason I asked you to say was.." Hanzo said and rummaged through the cabinets until he pulled out 2 cups of ramen noodles.
"I don't know how to make these and Dad isn't here to show me," Hanzo said.
"Where is your father?" Itachi asked.
"He's on a mission right now," Hanzo said. "He'll be gone for a week or two."
"How old are you?" Itachi asked.
"I am two, almost three," Hanzo said.
"You're young to be staying home alone," Itachi said. "I have a brother that is a year older than you."
"My Dad gave me everything I needed to stay home alone," Hanzo said. "Anyway, can you show me how to make noodles?"
Itachi showed Hanzo how to make ramen and now they were waiting 2 minutes for the ramen to cook when Itachi saw a couple of opened books on the table and he looked at them and saw Madara Uchiha on one, the Uchiha clan history on the other, and one about Hashirama Senju.
Hanzo noticed him looking and said,
"Madara is my favorite. He has the coolest eyes, and he is the most powerful," Hanzo said. "You look like a Uchiha, do you have red eyes? My Dad rarely shows it to me."
"I am a Uchiha, and the red eye you're talking about is called the Sharingan," Itachi said.
"Sharingan," Hanzo said with stars in his eyes.
By the time they were done talking about the Sharingan, the ramen was ready so they ate in silence mostly.
"Thank you for eating with me," Hanzo said.
"You're welcome," Itachi said.
"Have a good night," Hanzo said and shut the door.
Hanzo took a shower, got into his pajamas and walked into the bedroom and laid on his bed, he thought about cool shinobi stuff before drifting off to sleep.
Chapter 3 has come to a close and Hanzo started his shinobi training even if he can only throw things. I wonder what Hanzo will think when he unlocks his own Sharingan?
