For some reason using the "at" symbol is not acceptable, so when there are responses that should obviously have the symbol there but they aren't blame this fucking websites format.

Director Emily Piggot had a limited threshold on the patience that she was willing to allow to be physically expressed to her contemporaries and coworkers in the, if she were to be completely honest, pageantry shitshow known at the Parahuman Response Team of Brockton Bay.
The unending idiocy that consisted of the Bay's dealings made her think of the last words Scribe had said to her as she grabbed Emily's rifle and shoved her back while she snapped off controlled three round bursts at Nilbog's swarm while yelling out, "Fall back and cover the survivor's soldier!"
The...the only Cape that not only stayed to cover the retreat...but...stayed behind...
So when that self righteous, contemptuous bitch known as Chief Director Rebecca Costa-Brown spoke up on her monitor, surrounded by all of the other Directors of the American North East with, "Well Emily, how did you let this fall apart this time?"
She couldn't help but flatly state, "Go to hell, ma'am."
There was dead silence, then eventually Costa-Brown seethed out, "Pardon?"
Piggot shrugged, "I did not stutter. Ma'am"
Director Seneca raised a finger "That doesn't explain-"
That was when Piggot cut him off, "Fine, you want to know what happened with the Mordred situation? Allow me to elucidate matters.
"The Villain Coil, a PRT contractor also known as Thomas Calvert, who was a complete and utter bastard I insisted shouldn't be rehired by the PRT after he committed treason by murdering his superior officer to survive Ellisburg by the way..."
Armstrong raised his hand while flatly stating, "What?," as she continued on.
Emily at this point didn't care as she plowed along, "You all want to know how Mordred and her girlfriend completely lambasted our entire organization in an act of well earned retribution? Fine. Calvert had backdoors in our systems that had backdoors. He had blackmailed, tormented, and twisted as many people as he could to create his own personal widows web. The problem he ran into? He put a gun to the heads of two High Tier Thinkers that happened to have gained the affection of a...fuck... Seriously, he pissed off Mordred."
"How did it all come to this conclusion? Simple really, our organization is, to be blunt, hilariously incompetent, Mordred is good at making friends with attractive women and making besties with dragons all while leveling entire neighborhoods by accident, and Lung's amicable to cause chaos if he finds it entertaining and once again, adds in on making us look incompetent because he finds it amusing."
There was dead silence for a time, then Emily chuckled while shrugging, "Welcome to Brockton Bay."

So I'm sure at this point everyone has seen the video posted by Brockton Bay's most recent ruthless power house, a cape who calls herself Ser Mordred Pendragon, but just call her Mordred. Who is also locally known as 'she who throws down with rage dragons because she is bored and is easily distracted by cute cat pictures.'
To those who don't pay attention to the news allow me to put this in simple turns. Our resident well intentioned ADHD addled smart ass in shining armor somehow arranged to have a city wide bombing campaign pulled off with the help of the Undersiders AND the ABB to destroy all of the low key villain Coil's assets at once (With no civilian casualties or injuries even), then somehow managed to infiltrate the PRT headquarters and execute said supposed Villain in his civilian life in front of the entire local Protectorate.
Crazy right?
Well it winds up Coil, or rather one Thomas Calvert since his identity is completely blown and he is now suffering from a case of decapitation so it really doesn't matter, was a piece of work.
Such as fully intending on kidnapping little girls and teenage Thinkers off the street with every intent of drugging them out of their minds to make them more "malleable," (Christ does that terminology disgust me,) and using them like Magic Eight Ball's to his benefit.
And than managed to unintendedly pull a stupid, and piss off Lung's sparing partner and now the city is partly on fire, the gangs are laying low, and the PRT is doing nothing to resolve it.

I was working in the gift shop at the PRT headquarters when the bombing started going off.
One of the things they don't say out loud, because no one seems to ask unless they get media points out of it, is that the whole thing can turn into a supposedly Lung-proof confoam box.
I wound up babysitting a group of scared crying kids for over a hour in a 20x35' box.
Thanks for that.
On that note, thank you for getting Calvert killed, that rat bastard stole my family's garage out from under us and we didn't even know it until the Empire, pardon, police showed up to evict us.

Just looking at his current MO I'd be willing to bet he bugged that place to the shithouse before he sold it on, possibly in an attempt to gain info on Squealer that breaks the Unwritten Rules. From everything I've heard he seems like the "unseen mastermind" type that would want that kind of leverage and if he was willing to collect Thinkers the way he was, I'm sure he realised that Tinkers are susceptible to the exact same tactics once you romve them from their tech/workshop and can act as the same type of unseen force multiplie (I've heard he liked outfitting his mercs with Tinker lasers and all that.)

Ironically enough all it took was all of dear Thomas' backdoors in the system and the help of two vindictive high tier Thinkers to get an irate Trump and bemused Master through the facility without any troubles. Regent and I basically walked in with a tour group and stayed on the phone with the girls as they talked us through walking around the cameras and putting in the proper keycodes when needed. Regent described it as 'Playing with the debug menu on,' whatever the hell that means.
