Word Count: 95
Summary: Based on the lyrics 'I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor, and ask my girl to dance, she'll say yes' Mayday Parade - Miserable at Best
Disclaimer: I don't own Crossing Jordan or the characters.

She was never my girl. She had just been an almost-something. She was probably not even a right person, wrong time, she was most likely a wrong person, worse time. Maybe in another life, sure. But even then, I don't think she and I could ever get together, and more importantly, stay together.

I love her, there's no denying. I tried.

And as I watch her dancing with him as she used to dance with me all those years ago in the Pogue, I realize I was right.

I love her. But she loves him.

The End

This story is from Woody's POV, about Jordan and Pollack's relationship. Since Pollack doesn't appear in the character's list I marked him as OC.
I don't know if the name9 that reviewed my story "Always Watching" will read this, but since I can't send you a PM, VS7 isn't available to read anymore, but if you go to web archive you will find it there. Maybe other people will also be interested in that. :)
