Being a Namikaze

Chapter 1

Loneliness That's one word to describe one Namikaze Naruto better known as Uzumaki Naruto, jinchuuriki of Nine tailed demon fox that attacked Konoha on 10 October, 1986.

You see Naruto is the only son of Konoha's Yellow flash, The Yondaime Hokage Namikaze Naruto and The Red Death Uzumaki Kushina. However, this little information is known only by the few higher ups of the village. For rest he is the orphan demon that should not be allowed to even live.

It started with the attack of an unknown masked man on the previous jinchuuriki, Naruto's mother right when her little boy was about to be born. It is actually a well known fact that when a female jinchuuriki gives birth her seal gets weakened to hold a tailed beast.

Hence, she was provided with the security of Konoha's best Anbu along with the Hokage and best medic available, Third Hokage's wife in a secluded area so as to proceed without any unauthorized interruptions.

But everything went downhill when the attack happened and in the matter of hours a series of things happened- konoha got attacked by the newly released nine-tails and got resealed by Yondaime into his own newborn son Namikaze Naruto by the efforts of both Minato and Kushina Konohagakure was again safe.

Later it was decided that the identity of the baby both as a jinchuuriki and Yondaime's son was to be hidden but someone leaked the child's jinchuriki status and the whole village went into uproar. Everyone wanted the child's death when Lord Third passed a decree that anyone who speaks of Naruto's status was to be hanged to death instantly. He wanted to announce Naruto' parentage at that moment but was overruled by the village's elders.

Life in Konoha settled after that except for one child who was to bear the village's hatred as their scapegoat.

'That's what everyone believed' thought Lord Third sitting in his office while watching over soon to be 12 year old Naruto through his all-seeing glass.

But few things and their reasons are still hidden. Like how the seal failed- they were unable to know about the masked man since those who knew died. Another fact was the reason Naruto's parentage was hidden. While Lord Third initially wanted to hide the truth for the child's own protection from his parent's especially his father's enemies, he was all too willing to reveal it when his Jinchuriki status was outed. But was overruled by the village's elders who wanted a perfect jinchuuriki weapon since they knew both of his parents are dead and so is Naruto's whole family since his mother came to Konoha from the Land of Whirlpool that was destroyed by the joint efforts of Kirigakure, Kumogakure and Iwagakure. And nothing is known about the mysterious Namikaze clan who they know exists only due to Minato who came to Konoha as a child.

Many think that Namikaze's are either dead or just some nomads that don't care. Although there are stories of the mysterious sightings and their hold on space- time ninjutsu but they are far and few in fact the last sighting of such powers were during second great ninja war when a non shinobi village was attacked and one lone man later identified as a Namikaze handled the whole army , out of which only one was alive but merely out of luck that his breathing did stop for quite some time and was rendered mutilated to not able to continue his shinobi career. Even their Yondaime was like that. There was a reason he had a flee on sight order on his record.

So there can't be any political ramifications and they could get their ultimate weapon.

But the most important thing that worries Lord Third to this day is that besides Naruto and Kushina they did not found Minato's body. It was believed that the Eight Trigrams took all his energy and his body was destroyed on the spot. 'But Is it the truth?' thought Sarutobi Hiruzen. 'Tomorrow is Naruto's 12th birthday but the child is not in the least excited and how could he when all he gets on his birthday is hatred of his own village' thought Lord third sadly. 'I tried Minato truly I did but I failed you. I failed you and Kushina. I wish- I wish you were here, this old man can't do it anymore.' sighed the said old man, his old face seeming to be aged by 100 more years while tenderly packing a small birthday present for the said child.

'Wish you were here Mom - Dad or atleast one of you' thought Naruto sadly. 'Hokage Jiji says when children make some birthday wishes they come true. But I don't want any fancy gift I just want someone to care about me someone to love me unconditionally, someone to tuck me in bed, someone to scold me for my pranks and studies, someone to be proud of me someone to say I love Naruto like my classmate's parents without any obligations'. wished the lone child in the rundown apartment while a lone tear falls from his eye. 'Even Hokage Jiji's eyes hold something else like guilt and Iruka sensei and Ayame neechan and Teuchi ojisan are nice but not enough'.

Unknown to both surrogate grandfather and grandson their wish was going to be true when in the large compound in the middle of the village but still far from the eyes of people one lone figure was starting to form in the master bedroom of the largest mansion there.

Few hours later when the clock struck 12, Naruto's 12th birthday arrived but said child was completelyunaware asleep in his bed. While his greatest birthday gift just opened his blue sharp but vibrant and warm eyes.

Yes this was none other than Konoha's Yellow Flash Yondaime Hokage , Namikaze Minato in all his glory.

The reason for why no one is able to see the Namikaze compound would be revealed in the upcoming chapters .
