Clock Tower: Dawn of Terror
First chapter of my attempt at a Clock Tower story, hopefully the start of a small series. While keeping the supernatural elements and such from Clock Tower, I'm gonna draw some inspiration and setting from the Scream franchise, anyway, enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Clock Tower or its characters.
Chapter 1
The sight of the trees passing by as the car drove down the roads leaving the teenage girl, sat in the back seat and looking out the window, with a sad look on her face.
"It's okay Jennifer, if there is anything to find here, we'll find it." The man driving explained.
Seated in the front passenger seat, the man's wife smiled back at Jennifer who is in the back seat. The man was tall and broad-shouldered with short brown hair and brown eyes, fair skinned and had a neat beard. His wife was of medium height with shoulder length blonde hair and green eyes, also fair skinned and rather slender. Their names were Sam and Francis.
Jennifer Simpson did not look like either of them however, instead having long straight very dark brown hair which often appeared black depending on the light. She had brown eyes and a slightly olive skin tone. she always wore her hair down loose with a side parting and had somewhat thick eyebrows. She was wearing a dark blue knee length skirt; a white blouse and dark blue flats. This was because fifteen year old Jennifer was in fact not Sam and Francis' daughter, they were just her Guardians following her mother's death.
Her father had entrusted them with the care of his daughter before he vanished.
Jennifer nodded in response to their comments. "I know, I just...I just don't understand it."
Sam and Francis shared a worried look but kept driving onwards.
Despite his promise to be back as soon as possible, Walter Simpson never returned and was now presumed dead. But recently, Jennifer had managed to find out where he had gone when he left and after some pleading, had convinced Sam and Francis to make a temporary move there, it was during a vacation from Jennifer's school, although apparently the school in that town still had a couple of more days of school left.
So they decided to take a vacation in the area and hopefully find out what happened to Walter, if he was dead it would provide some closure. If not, then Jennifer was determined to find out what happened to her father. The scenery began to change, still showing the woods and such, but they began to see buildings and noted they were in the town, now they just had to find the house they'd been given to stay in for this little 'vacation'.
"Ah, here we are." Francis said.
They parked up and got out the car. Jennifer smiled and began helping her guardians with the unpacking and getting everything into the house and set up so they could take time to just relax. As she finally got the last case inside with Sam taking it to unpack, she stood outside and thought for a moment, wondering how she could even begin to go looking for her father. She didn't even know this place all that well.
Still looking around the place seemed nice, settled in the midst of a forest with several houses set up in two rows on either side of a main road, with some smaller roads leading off, with a few more scattered houses. It was one of these houses in which Jennifer and her guardians were staying, it was a moderately sized place and even from where she was standing she could see the moderately large school building. There was a notable side road that seemed to wind into the trees and disappeared from view. She wondered where it went.
Then suddenly a female voice sounded behind her, startling her.
"Hey, not seen you around before, are you new here?"
She turned to see just who had called out to her, taking her by surprise, like this.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
