I had to get this idea out of my system before continuing my other fic.

I promise I will update my other fic, I just got lazy.

Kind of an OC and not an SI. (Same case with my other fic, an exact copy of an already existing character because I'm incredibly original)

English is not my first language, so if there are any grammar mistakes, please point them out in the reviews.

Also, don't be mean if you are going to write a review.

I will gladly take any suggestions for the future of this fanfiction.

With luck maybe there will be some romance, but no sexual content, I don't feel comfortable writing that.

It happened too fast.

An explosion, then screams of pain and horror could be heard from all around the building. Some of the people who were not close to the explosion decided to try and help, but the scene in front of them made them stop and stare in horror.

The body of a man sprawled on the pavement. He was still alive, but not for much longer.

Trying his best to look around, he finally moved his head to face where some of the people still standing were looking. An arm, his arm, was on the floor, a couple of meters away from him. It was bent abnormally, with fingers either missing or bent.

The man vomited, blood mixed with his vomit.

Weirdly enough, he could still feel his arm. He knew it wasn't there anymore, but he could still feel it.

'Am I missing another limb?' The man thought. He tried to move his other arm, noting that his hand could not move. It was either gone or paralyzed. One of his legs could still barely move, but the other felt Weirdly light.

The man tried to move his head to look, but he couldn't, so he looked from the corner of his eye.

His leg was gone, entirely cut below the kneecap. The rest of the leg was just about two meters away from him. Close to it was another limb that was not his, A hand that still had some of the arm attached to it, and one of the fingers had a ring on it.

Wheezing in between breaths, the man started to cry.

While he did not have an amazing life, it was still a nice life. He failed college but started studying by himself, and thanks to that and some luck, landed a fairly decent job.

But it will soon be gone, he knew he was going to die. There was no way he could get help in time.

'I feel sleepy….' At first, he tried not to close his eyes, but after a while, gave up.

So, finally accepting his end. The man took one final breath and closed his eyes.

…'Death feels weirdly….. Normal?'...

….

….'umm… Am I actually dead?'...

…'Also…. It got pretty silent all of a sudden'

The man opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was an unfamiliar room with a desk, a couple of textbooks about… 'Martial arts and… Quirk theory?', 3 notebooks and a pencil holder with a couple of pens.

The room looked quite empty and it wasn't that big, definitely a one-person room. There were two doors in the room, one of them was probably a bathroom.

Looking behind, he noted that there was a window, deciding to check that later, he decided to stand up from the… Futon… 'I have so many questions… Did I really die? Where am I?'

He approached the desk and looked at the things in it. 'Nothing new that I couldn't see from the futon… the desk looks really old though'

The man decided to go to the bathroom… It looked normal, just a toilet, a bathtub, and sink with a toothbrush, toothpaste, a bar of soap, a hairbrush, and some other essentials. The sink also had a mirror in front of it.

The confused man went in front of the sink and looked at himself…. Herself.

'What?'

The man, now a woman, inspected her face, she was light-skinned, with magenta hair and eyes, just below the left eye there was a mole.

'...I'll pass out' She left the bathroom, positioned herself in front of the futon in a way that falling over would leave her head on the pillow, and promptly passed out.

The woman finally woke up, she instantly decided to check on herself again. Now that she looked closer, she was more of a teenager than an adult woman… also she looked kind of familiar but couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Deciding to investigate more, she looked around the desk, finding that it actually had a drawer with a purple book with the name "Diary" in it.

It felt really wrong, but she needed to investigate, so the gender bender (or "Body snatcher" now that she thought about it) took the Diary and opened it on the first page.

"Dear diary… that's how people usually start writing diaries right? I decided to finally write a diary to celebrate my new life! I finally saved up enough money to rent my own place, and while it isn't the biggest, it's more than enough for me. Now I have to get a new job though, can't pay rent and feed myself without one….."

The diary explained how she got quite lucky with the apartment because it is the closest she could get to U.A High School….. 'U.A? Wait…. Oh fuck please no' Without wasting time, she looked around the room for a phone. Just beside her bed, there was a pretty old-looking smartphone. Now in the web browser, that she noticed was actually Chrome with Google as a search engine, she wrote the word "U.A High school", after waiting for like 20 seconds, probably because of bad internet, the results came in, the first search result was the page for the High school. Entering the Images Tab and waiting an eternity, there were multiple photos of the school, but they weren't drawn, they were actual photos. One of them showed a blue gate, a multitude of students in uniform entering it.

'This is a joke, right? Right? Right? …..' Remembering what the diary mentioned, she opened her window and looked around. It took a while but she found it, even from really far away she could see the massive building that looked like the letter "H".

She sat there, stunned, for 2 whole minutes. Her brain could barely process it. 'I got… isekai'd? Actually, did I just steal some poor girl's body? She couldn't have died, her body looks decently healthy'

'...What now? It's not like I know how to give back her body. Also, this was just too sudden, there was literally nothing in between me dying and me appearing here, It just happened. I could have expected something more interesting… Maybe some type of god dragging my soul to their domain to give me the opportunity to reincarnate? At least it wasn't something scary like falling into an endless void before being transported…'

She was wasting time, so instead of imagining hypothetical situations, she decided to start reading the girl's diary to get some clue about her new identity.

2 hours of reading later, the now-identified Maeve Brennan was an Irish girl who very early in her life migrated to Japan for reasons not specified. Sadly, she lost her parents in a villain attack. She didn't have any family to contact, so she had to survive on her own. Working in low-paying jobs and eating cheap instant noodles. It didn't help that she was Quirkless most of her life, the girl really wanted to be a hero. But luckily, she recently manifested her quirk. It happened when she was being robbed. One of the thieves tried to punch her, and she tried to step back, but for some reason, she ended up jumping about 10 meters back.

After that incident, she tried to replicate what happened that day, without any results. All this actually happened recently, only about a month before she was replaced.

'I'm in the world of my hero academia… this girl, before I ended up here, wanted to be a hero, so maybe I should follow that same path? I wonder what she would think about that… wait, didn't quirks have some kind of fragment of the user's conscience in them? I really can't remember, maybe it's just a One For All exclusive thing… I guess becoming a hero doesn't sound that bad. Where am I in the timeline though? I mean, it doesn't really matter, this world is going to shit either way with the whole League of Villains thing, might as well do my part while I'm here. No telling other people I reincarnated though, they'll just label me insane.'

Deciding to follow up on the girl's dreams, the former male decided to go to the bathroom, There, she checked herself on the mirror again. She looked between 14-15, this girl was quite cute really, and would look great in a suit… 'Suit? Have I seen this person before?' Maeve tried to imagine herself in a suit, a business suit with a violet necktie and ovaloid earrings. '... Huh, I'm literally a mini Bazett'

Two days later, Maeve finally got an idea of her situation. She is currently fourteen, which would put her 1 year before being able to enter a hero school. 'Maeve wanted to enter the U.A., so that's what I'm aiming for, I really don't want to enter class 1A though, that's just asking for an early death…'

Along with acclimatizing to her new life, she noticed a schedule taped on one of the walls, indicating her daily activities and it was full. School, work, studying, exercise, figuring out her quirk there was basically no time for herself. 'Damn, now I feel bad for her… Maybe I can skip some of the studying? I already went through all this before so maybe I can.'

'About my workplace Hmm… It seems I'm working in a fast food place… Lovely. Maeve has experience working in those places, Customers were most times either slow or annoying, not a nice place to work. 'Still, this is Japan so maybe they're nicer?... Again this is Japan with superpowered egos so…' Maeve sighed in resignation.

Maeve remembered that in one part of the diary, there was a workout plan, but very little fight training was involved. 'While working out is important for a hero in training, with our quirk, if it is what I think it is, we really won't need that much. I can work out more when I enter U.A., I should find some kind of way to learn how to fight… maybe boxing? Most of my fights should be with my fists so I guess that's one of the ones I'll learn.'

In school, the original Maeve didn't seem to have many friends or any friends at all, mostly because she spent most of her time either studying or practicing her fighting style. 'I don't think I'll get to keep all of that practice so… from zero it is I guess… shit, do I have enough time? Midoriya I'm pretty sure only got 10 months of practice, but that lucky bastard got an overpowered quirk and is an absolute genius when it comes to anything hero-related. In my case I'm just a normal dude… girl now I guess, who was unceremoniously thrown into this world, completely penniless and I don't even get to keep some of the memories of this body… At least I know what's coming in the future, not that I can do much to change the future…'

'At least I should investigate how my quirk works, I'm pretty sure Bazett's powers aren't just normal enhancements to the body, and maybe I can use some bastardized version of Fragarach?... I guess that's for later, I have to go to school'

Runes, that's what Maeve's quirk is about, and it's actually quite strong.

The quirk, which from now on will simply be named "Runecraft" " gives the user the ability to inscribe runes into different things, An example could be the "Kano" rune, which will set an object on fire, It won't be a big fire though, someone like Todoroki will still be better at creating fire than Maeve will ever be. 'How did the runes activate during the robbery though?... whatever, I shouldn't think too much about it.'

A thing that she has discovered is that runes that enhance the body or clothing work better for her. She is still able to use other runes, but it is generally not worth the hassle. Since then, every time she goes out, she inscribes her clothing with the "Ehwaz" Rune, Which hardens the object in question. That doesn't mean the clothes are rock-hard, it just means that they are harder to tear or break.

Runes don't come with power in specific, she has to give them a purpose. And it can't be something too broad, she did try to create a Rune to locate a person, but could not do it. That means that either she is not strong enough, or her Quirk has a clear limit.

At the moment, the current runes she has at her disposal are Kano for fire, Ehwaz for Enhanced durability, Inwaz for softening, Sowilu for speed, Opila for Enhanced sight, Berkana for enhanced strength, Isaz to mute sound, Tiwaz to louden sound, and Jara to slide through the ground when used on the feet or shoes.

'I can either inscribe the runes with my finger, or I can use something like a pencil for a more permanent Rune' If Maeve chooses to just draw the rune with her fingers, the rune will only last for a maximum of 20 seconds or until she decides to deactivate it, but if she uses a pencil or marker, the rune will last until the drawing fades, and can remain inactive until Maeve chooses to activate them.

Most of her clothing has been inscribed with runes. Shoes with Sowilu, Jara, Isaz, Ehwaz, and Berkana, a pair of black gloves with Berkana, Sowilu, Ehwaz, and Isaz, and the rest of her clothes all have Ehwaz. All of these runes only need a thought to be activated. 'Maybe I should tattoo some of the runes into my hands and feet? Something to think about.'

'On other news, I can actually use Fragarach! Or a weird version of Fragarach at least.' There are 2 specific conditions that have to be met for Fragarach to be used, it has to be used with a spherical object as a base and the sphere has to have a specialized set of runes inscribed on it, these runes are "Fehu", "Raidu", "Ansuz", "Gebu", "Ansuz", "Raidu, "Ansuz", "Kano" in that order. Then the object will be compatible with Fragarach. 'I should add some other runes on it to make my ammunition better' As such, the runes for strength, and enhanced durability were added to the lead balls used for Fragarach. 'These things are so hard to make, even with Inwaz, and also really expensive… Still, I don't need that many.'

With the Fragarach ammunition ready, Maeve only has to get in position and think about using Fragarach for the process to start. When it starts, one of the balls will position itself above her hand, and from there, A weapon will appear on the surface of the ball, this weapon can be any that Maeve chooses, or it can have none at all. 'I still don't know how effective this "Ultimate" of sorts will be, or how much damage I will be able to deal with it, I can guess it has to be used just before the opposing attack hits, but without something or someone to use it on, I can't test it… For now, I should find a way to carry the ammunition with me.'

Three months have passed since Maeve came into the world of MHA. In that time, she has kept her training and is now able to hold herself in a fight, even if barely, and has to depend heavily on her runes.

She has also discovered a new aspect of her Runes, Combined runes. By combining some of her Runes, she can get certain effects. For example, by combining Sowilu and her newly developed rune "Dagaz" for air, she got the effect of slow falling. Now she has both runes in her clothes in case she needs to slow her fall.

The biggest downside of combined runes is that she still has to draw them, which takes precious seconds that could be used against her.

On another note… "Fuck that bastard… He called me a bitch! What kind of… AGHH" Currently, Maeve was without a job. She quit after enduring her infuriating boss for way too long. "I guess this is a good time to get those tattoos… Wait, Will the runes have an effect if someone else draws them but I activate them?... better not risk it. Also, I should look for a new job, I'm sure I saw an advert for a position as a cashier somewhere nicer, I should look into that"

Currently, Maeve was walking the streets at night, there weren't that many people, but the streets were not empty either. It wasn't the safest street, but if she needed to run she had runes on her shoes ready to be activated at a thought.

Nothing of note has happened since she transmigrated, mostly training, studying, and coming up with new runes.

Slowly, the streets started to look less populated, this was fairly normal, so she did not think too much about it. But suddenly, a massive man with horns walked in front of her, blocking her way. Maeve took a step back but heard more footsteps behind her. 'What is happening? Who are these people… A robbery?'

"Hmm, not my type… I prefer women with long hair. Whatever, if you don't resist, we'll make this painless, girlie." the massive man said with a grin.

'Gross… A kidnapping?... The man behind me looks weaker, but I don't know his quirk' The other man was slimmer, Maeve noted that the pavement below him seemed to move. 'An emitter quirk?'

Maeve took the gloves in her jacket's pockets and put them on, then activated runes for strength and enhanced durability in her gloves, enhanced durability on her jacket, shirt, and pants, and strength, enhanced durability, and speed on her shoes. Her feet and hands took on a blue glow, and then with all her speed turned around and started running at the slim man.

"Oh no you don't!" Chunks of pavement lifted from the ground, then hurled at Maeve. She proceeded to cover her face with her arms, forming an X. The rocks hit her arms but didn't do any damage. "What?!" The man, in a hurry, put his hands on the pavement and lifted it up, forming a barrier between him and the girl.

Maeve punched the wall, her fist going through the wall and punching the kidnapper straight in the face, knocking multiple teeth out and making him black out.

"You bitch!" The other man started running at Maeve, she noticed that his fists were now on fire. The man threw a punch at Maeve, who still had her arm stuck in the concrete. The punch connected with her arm, which she used in an attempt to block the damage, and sent her flying straight through the wall. "AGH!" Maeve landed on her side and tried to get up, but the man came and kicked her on her stomach.

"Fuck.. Ugh," The transmigrator spat a mixture of blood and vomit on the ground. "That hurts... Hahh hah" Maeve said, holding her stomach in pain

"That's for punching my brother" The man picked up Maeve, then punched her in the gut, making her spit blood again.

Before the man could punch her again, Maeve rapidly drew a fire rune on the man's shirt, the fire rapidly spreading through the shirt. "Ah AHH DAMMIT" In an attempt to get the shirt off himself, the man dropped Maeve. Taking this opportunity, she activated the strength, speed, and enhanced durability runes on her right arm and hand, then delivered a punch at the man's nose. "AGH ah khh" The kidnapper, now without his shirt, put his hands on his nose, trying to stop the bleeding. "B-BITCH" He said, before launching himself at Maeve

Before he could get closer, the man suddenly deflated and tumbled to the ground. "Huh? I-I can't activate my quirk?! Wha-" A white cloth wrapped around the kidnapper's body.

'Isn't that… Aizawa's Binding Cloth?' Maeve thought, before a sharp pain coursed through her whole body. "Hahh… I… overexerted myself…" She said before collapsing on the floor, a metallic taste on her taste buds. 'Should have held back on the amount of runes… My head hurts…'

A black boot entered her blurry vision, Maeve moved her eyes to look up "Heh… I was sure we weren't gonna meet until I entered the U.A.… heh heh… It's way too soon, teach,"

Aizawa seemed to say something, but she couldn't hear what it was.

Then came darkness.

'... An unfamiliar ceiling' Maeve thought, looking at the characteristic white ceiling of a hospital. She noted how there didn't seem to be any machines hooked up to her, nor any discomfort on her body. 'I'm sure I broke at least a few ribs from all the kicks… Technology here is amazing'

The door of the hospital room opened, and a man in a white coat entered, he seemed to have a fish-related quirk going by the scales on his arms. "Miss Brennan, you finally woke up!" he said.

"Hm… How long have I been out for?" Maeve asked.

"Hmm… almost a whole day, your ribs were in pretty bad shape, but nothing life-threatening Gladly. You should be discharged in about ten minutes." The man said.

"That's great…" Maeve watched as the man left the room in a hurry.

'...Guess I'm not strong enough yet… nothing surprising considering I've only been here for three months, still kind of frustrating though.' Maeve certainly did not slack these last months, her arms and legs weren't as flimsy as they were at the start, and her belly was beginning to show signs of abs. She seemed to be generally stronger built than most people, even without using her enhancement runes. Maybe this strength came from her Quirk? She honestly didn't mind it at all.

"Tall and built like a brick?! That's Badass!" These were the thoughts of a fellow Gymgoer, who also was practicing for different Hero school entrance exams.

"Miss Brennan, you have visitors from the Musutafu police,"

'Hm? Ah, probably to testify about my encounter with those kidnappe- Why is Aizawa here?'

A woman with black hair and '...Rainbow Eyes? Cool.' Entered the room along with Aizawa Shota. "Greetings, I'm Asami Kobayashi with the Musutafu Police, I'm here to take your statement on the attack you suffered last night." Said the police officer, now identified as Kobayashi.

"Yeah, no problems with that, ask away"

"When did these men appear?" Said the Officer.

"When I was going home from work, one of them appeared in front of me, the massive one, while the other appeared behind, the skinny one. They surrounded me," Maeve explained.

"Who attacked first?" She asked.

'Weird question but ok'

"The skinny one attacked me first, he did when I tried to escape. At that point, I already knew they were here for no good reasons, so I deemed it a good idea to use my quirk to try and escape the situation, but when it was evident I couldn't escape, I defended myself."

"Was using your quirk the only option you saw at the moment"

'So it's a problem with using my quirk without a license it seems'

"Yes, I had no other way to escape, it was either fight for my life or be kidnapped. Also, it was easy to see that this attack was planned since my escape routes were blocked."

"Hmm.." Asami looked at her notebook with a pensive look "Then this was clearly an act of self-defense, we already have multiple counts of assault and attempted kidnappings for these people, so you are free. Thanks for your time." Asami said, before leaving the room. Leaving only Aizawa who was in a corner, waiting.

"...Umm, do you need something?" Maeve asked.

"...No, I was only here to observe since I was the Hero in charge of capturing these criminals. But I also wanted to ask you something," Aizawa said.

"Yes?"

"Do you remember what you said when I came to save you?" He asked.

" Umm… Not really, By that time I was pretty beaten up, so I can't remember much beyond after I punched that massive guy in the nose,"

"... Then I have nothing else to do here, Take care." He said before leaving the room.

'... Well, that was weird,'

Soon after, a doctor came and discharged Maeve from the hospital.

'I'm officially not a loner anymore'

Recently, a new person came to the Gym Maeve frequents, and it was someone who she was pretty familiar with. How could she forget those red eyes, spiky hair, and equally spiky teeth? Though at this point his hair was still black.

Eijiro Kirishima is the name of one of the characters of the main cast of MHA. 'One important character after another, I want to meet Yui though… She's cute… maybe when I enter U.A.?'

His entrance was really interesting, he came into the Gym, presented himself really loudly, and instantly went into the punching bags made for quirk use. At first, Maeve wanted to just distance herself from him, since coming in contact with one of the main cast could only spell trouble, but after thinking it over, she decided to start a conversation.

Her reasoning was that she needed a sparring partner, and someone with a quirk like his was the perfect person for the job. Also, she really liked his character.

So after some conversation, they decided to become sparring partners. She explained how her quirk works, more specifically the body enhancement part, and how they help each other. Now, almost every day, they come to the Gym, do their activities, and then spar for the rest of their stay.

She needed this experience for what was to come. Who's to say the being who put her in this world wouldn't fuck her over and put her in class 1-A? Better be prepared, that class is mostly comprised of troublemakers and people with way too strong quirks, and with the weird conversation she had with Aizawa just about a week ago, it wouldn't be a surprise if he already had an eye on her.

Truly a troubling situation.

Also, this was the perfect opportunity to test if her enhancements work on other people, which they do, so that was a welcomed discovery.

There's only one month before the Entrance Exam. During that time, Maeve has developed her quirk a big amount.

Now she can support up to twenty runes at the same time, meaning she has space for eight runes if we take into account that she normally has twelve of these runes active during a fight.

These runes are counted individually, meaning all of them will be used if she decides to use Fragarach in a fight.

Talking about combined runes, she discovered that Fragarach isn't necessarily only a "counter" type of attack, she can also just activate the blades that sprout from the ammo and just throw these at enemies, usually by punching them, and by doing this, she can reuse them without them being destroyed.

With this discovery, Maeve developed a new rune that can be useful for this exact use case: The "Shoot" Rune Algiz. This rune is pretty useless by itself, but if combined, for example, with the "Fire" Kano rune, it will shoot fire, combined with the "Speed" Sowilu rune, gets a fast traveling "fire bullet". This rune, when added to the Fragarach ammo, will be able to shoot itself at a thought.

Another new rune is the "Enhance" rune Hagalaz, this one works quite like the other "Enhanced" runes, but to a lesser degree, this being because it is not specialized. If this rune is applied to the ear, it will enhance the hearing, durability, and other aspects of the ear. It doesn't enhance something in specific, it enhances multiple things to a lesser degree depending on where applied, all at the same time, hence why it is less reliable than a specialized rune.

This rune has been made with the thought of saving time, being applied to other people, and not having too many specific "Enhanced something" runes.

In the topic of training, sparring with Kirishima has given results. Apart from being generally stronger, faster, having more stamina, and more durability without the use of runes, her fighting style has evolved a lot in the past months since the encounter with the Kidnappers.

She has developed a fighting style of getting as close to the enemy as possible, and if that is not possible, she tries to stay in their blind spots as much as possible. She will fight mostly with her fists, while also trying to land kicks on the abdomen when possible. Not a fancy fighting style, but it's what she could develop in the short time she had before the entrance exam.

With good skills, and (finally) a friend, Maeve was almost prepared for the exam. There was only one last thing to do, get something to carry the Fragarach ammo.

Bazett carries a rectangular case that holds up to 5 lead balls, and she carries it on her back seemingly almost everywhere. 'I don't think I can get something like that anytime soon, so I'll save it for when I enter U.A.. I should ask the support department. For the time being, I'll just get a bag.'

And like that, the last month passed and the day of the Entrance exam came.

Get gender-bent idiot.

New fic that I will update every (Redacted).

Not much to say about this one, just your generic "Transported into a series" type of fic, nothing revolutionary.

As already explained in the fic, Maeve's quirk is "Runecraft", which lets her give abilities to runes and use these abilities when inscribed into things or people. This quirk is based on the Nasuverse's rune magic, which is used by a lot of characters, most specifically Bazett, the character MC's appearance is based (copied) on. Bazett's fighting style is mostly based on physical strength coupled with the use of runes, so I wanted to make Maeve the same with some ranged applications of these runes. (expect a gun)

Dagaz = Air

Ehwaz = Enhanced durability

Inwaz = Softening

Sowilu = Enhanced speed

Opila = Enhanced sight

Berkana = Enhanced strength

Isaz = Mute sound

Current max amount of time a "Finger drawn" rune can stay active: 30 seconds

Also, I forgot to mention it, but the runes do eat away at Maeve's stamina. I needed some kind of drawback to the quirk, so there it is.

You already know who's getting deleted from the plot to make space for Maeve in 1-A hehe.

Romance? I don't know, who should I even pair her with? I personally like Kodai Yui from 1-B, so there's an option. Do not expect romance though, it really depends if... I don't know to be honest. (No harem though, it's not that I don't like harem, I just don't know how to write something like that)

Also, what do I do about the hero costume? Should I use one of the already existing outfits for Bazett? I personally really like the idea of her just going around in a suit punching the living shit out of villains.

Not much else to say, suggestions will be appreciated.
