Hi there, I think this will be the only time I put a note on my stories but I thought it important to do so with this first chapter. Eight years ago I was going through an extremely difficult time and I coped through reading and writing bad Bubbline fanfics. I was able to leave the world behind and fall in love over and over again. Now I've grown quite a bit and have improved not only my writing but also my life. With the new Fiona and Cake show coming out, my love for Adventure time has returned. I thought it would be fun to write a new fic, and even more fun to publish it on the same account I had back then. I hope you enjoy :)

Marceline hadn't wanted to go to college, but she promised her Uncle Simon that she would get an education. She decided to start at a community college so she could pay her way through, and decide whether or not to continue schooling after getting her Associates Degree.

She walked down the hall to her first class, Music. She had decided to make her first class an easy one, she needed some sort of motivation to get up in the morning. She refused to have any classes earlier than 10:00 A.M. though because that would be directly disrespectful to who she is as a person.

As she stepped through the door of the class, she stopped in her tracks. Her eyes were glued to an insanely gorgeous woman that she's never laid eyes on before, however she was convinced she knew her. Not necessarily in a way where she'd seen her before, or even existed in the same place as her. The familiarity was more like a cosmic, alternate universe kind of thing.

Marceline's jaw was slightly slack as she stared at the woman, she was absolutely gorgeous. She had her obviously freshly dyed pink hair tied in a loose ponytail with her bangs falling into the path of her eyes. Her rosy cheeks were soft and round and covered in delicate freckles. She was sitting leaned forward at her desk, squinting hard at the script inside of the rather thick book open on her desk. The mystery girl scrunched her eyebrows, blew out a puff of air and leaned back in her chair, seemingly in defeat. This small interruption made Marceline realize she was staring. In order to avoid anyone who may have seen her thinking she was a creep, she feigned as though she was searching for a place to sit. She decided on a seat two rows behind Mystery Girl and to the left. She told herself her placement was to be closer to the door as usual, but she secretly knew it was so she could still watch Mystery Girl.

Marceline unzipped her backpack to pull her notebook and pencil out. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw there was still fifteen minutes before class officially started. She started to look around and study the room, Mystery Girl had distracted her from her usual procedure of immediately casing her surroundings. Only a few other students had arrived so far, and she hoped the class stayed small. She wasn't a fan of large groups of people, unless they were there to see her band play of course. Music related posters were tacked on all of the ugly beige walls except for one, which housed the whiteboard. There were a few music stands next to the board, along with some short bookcases overflowing with books. As she continued to let her eyes wander, they kept slowly drifting back to Mystery Girl.

A few more students shuffled in, and one carrying a small instrument case of some sort sat next to Mystery Girl. He was a short and stocky man with a bright smile and a thick mustache. He had light brown curly hair that matched the chest hair poking out of his Hawaiian shirt. He seemed a bit older than the rest of the class, he was probably in his mid to late twenties instead of the usual eighteen to twenty year olds.

"Hey Bonnie! I didn't think you'd actually sign up for this class with me!" The man said while giving her shoulder a little pat.

"Hey Jake! Yeah, I needed an art credit." The woman, now known as Bonnie, spoke in a voice that sounded like sprinkles.

"I just didn't think you were a music class kind of girl" Jake laughed "Maybe a History of music or Music Theory or…" he trailed off.

"Of course I am a 'music class kind of girl" She said in a playfully mocking tone "You were at my concert last year!"

Jake cringed in response and looked away from her, with a nervous chuckle he said "Oh, yeah… well I just assumed you had quit music after that…"

Bonnie shot him a look and opened her mouth to speak when a large muscular man with a handlebar mustache interrupted the conversation by entering the classroom. "Hello class!"" The man cheerily welcomed his new students, turned to the whiteboard and wrote his name on the board. "I am Mr. Kuppikaku, but you may call me Mr. K. Today we will be going through our syllabus." He gave stacks of the syllabi to the students in the front row to pass behind them. Marceline cursed herself for not sitting directly behind Bonnie so that she could maybe strike up some sort of conversation.

Once she received her packet, she looked down at the front page and took a deep breath. The letters jumped around in front of her eyes. She hoped Mr. K wouldn't make them re- "Okay class who wants to start reading the first paragraph?"

Fuck.
