Another Kingdom Hearts fic take that I've been wanting to do. I'm able to boost myself up again to try to make this happen. Thus, this is the revival of the Kingdom Hearts story starring both Sora and Shiro. The only difference is...Sora is a cartoon just like his chaotic twin sister.
This story tells the tale of two little cartoons, a bouncy little mouse, and a cheeky little rabbit, finding themselves in a world of...normality. Taken in by Riku, and a wonderous shopkeeper, these two are made a stain upon this world as...the chaotic duo.
But with the destruction of Destiny Islands, Sora has claimed the Kingdom Key as his own...but instead of appearing in the Dark Realm, its counterpart, the Kingdom Key - D fell into the hands...or gloves of another one, chosen in darkness, Shiro. And now it falls to the Keys of Light, Darkness, and the Between to seal the Final Door before more worlds fall into chaos.
Another Mass crossover fix, the same as A New Destiny, starring Toon Sora and Shiro.

From the damp atmosphere of his heart…a familiar aroma of the tropical seas once again plagued the boy's nose. The familiar tropical breeze returns to course through the boy's cream fur, and his round ears picked up the pleasant sound of seagulls from above.
Groggily, the boy opens his ocean blue eyes. He was met with the piercing bright…yet warmth light of the majestic summer sun.
The tired little toon gives out a soft yawn…and blissfully lies back down to sleep. Or at least…had his big ears not catch wind of the sound of footsteps coming his way.
In the corner of his eyes, the mouse spots an approaching red-haired girl with eyes as blue as the ocean itself. The girl is wearing a white top over her black t-shirt. She wears a lavender skirt with a purple belt buckle and white and purple slip-on shoes. She wears yellow bracelets, a choker, and a shimmering pearl-shaped necklace.
"Hehehehehehe~" Sora giggles as he pretends to go back to sleep.
Meanwhile, the girl only chuckled at the sight of the sleeping rodent. "Sora, you lazy bum, I always knew I would find you snoozing down here," The girl says as she simply turned around.
"HIYA, TOOTS!"
"WHOA!" Only to be immediately met with the toon suddenly standing in front of her. Sora could only give the girl a big toothy smile.
"Couldn't resist, just whoooooo's lazyin' around here, Kairi?" Sora taunts, making the auburn-haired girl only chuckle.
"You're just full of surprises, aren't you, Sora?" Kairi couldn't help but say amidst her laughter as Sora bounces around her with his tail.
"What can I say? I'm a toon! Surprises and laughs are my expertise," Sora says stretching his cheeks to lengths no human POSSIBLY could. Kairi could only laugh at the toon's zaniness.
"It's still so unbelievable to me that cartoons are real," Kairi could only say amidst her laughter. Soon enough, the mouse springs high up in the sky…and nails that spectacular landing.
"What can I say? We're as real as real can get." Sora says tiredly as he plots to the sand as Kairi joins him. The human girl and the toon boy only looked at the midday sun, shining down upon this beautiful island.
"Sooooooo, any dreams of late from our lil' mouse of mayhem?" Kairi asks the mouse.
"Funny ya say that! Y'see, I was in some sorta….velvet room with some guy with a big ol' shnoz. I was fighting these weird things…a-and Shiro was there, too!" Sora explains as Kairi giggles.
"Doesn't really seem like a coincidence if you AND Shiro's been having the same dreams, lately. You think that means something?" Kairi asks.
"Yeah, no gettin' stoned on fizzy soda 'n pizza at 3 in the mornin' while havin' a karaoke night with Shiro for the 20th time." Sora muttered, as a question soon arose about Kairi. "So, what about you, Kai? Any memories of home?" Sora asked.
"I told you, Sora, I don't remember a thing," she replied.
"Nothin' at all?"
"Nothing at all."
"Same page, huh? But on the chance that ya DO remember, would ya ever wanna go back there?" Sora asked.
"Well..." Kairi starts, giving this much more thought than anticipated. "On one hand...I like it here. You, Shiro, Riku, Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, I wouldn't trade you guys for the world. On the other hand, it...would be nice to find out where I came from." The little toon soon extends his gloved hand.
"I'd like to be there when we see it, along with any other worlds out there. Whenever Riku ALWAYS comes out 'n say that every star in the sky's a world…it just makes me all jittery, Kai! I wanna see 'em all!" Sora says determinedly. Kairi in return gives him a snarky smirk.
"Well, I don't know about you, Sora, but if you wanna see 'em all, just remember~ There's a RAFT that needs some fixing." Kairi sings, playfully.
"HEY! You fellas have been barring Shiro & I from not only letting US build the raft, but do a lil' bit of some tinkering!" Sora says as he took from his Gag Bag a wrench as Kairi giggles.
"Sorry, not gonna fly. Riku wants the raft done HIS way. And that means no crazy tricks from either you OR Shiro." Kairi chuckles making the little mouse pout.
"Of course, he does…" Sora sighs. "WELL! Howsabout we head on over & see how the raft's going?"
"Well, Riku HAS been busy today, so…I don't see why not!" Kairi says happily, before Sora plopped up from the ground and circled his feat in midair as if he was the Roadrunner.
"GREAT! LAST ONE THERE'S AN ROTTEN EGG!" Sora yells out as he was quick to dart across the beach at top speed…leaving Kairi. The girl only rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"If only we were as off-the-wall bonkers as you, Sora." Kairi says as she trailed behind the speedy little mouse. And thus…we begin our perilous journey…here:
A Kingdom Hearts Crossover
Dual Hearts
Our story begins here, on the tranquil island of...
World Name: Destiny Island
Destiny Island. A tropical paradise of relaxation, inhabited by 6 islanders: Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, Kairi, Riku, and our two protagonists of this story: Sora and Shiro.
Ever since he was a child, Riku, unfortunately was the only one that resided and played on the island. He felt alone, and outcasted throughout the village. That was…until two strange creatures appeared from the Keyhole, deep within the island – Sora & Shiro.
CLEAR-CUT indications that there are other worlds out there. Literal cartoon characters (or Toons) capable of defying the very logic of the real world they're residing in.
Where did they come from? How did they get here? WHY are they here? Why…these are all questions that even the troublesome twins couldn't discern.
Then…came even more friends. Friends who never grew here, in the first place. Humans, just like Riku. Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie tell the tales of their home known as 'Spira,' and the 'Trabia Gardens.' How their homes were destroyed by a catastrophe known as 'Sin.' And how they, specifically Tidus, plans to find their way back home.
All of Riku's new found friends…asserts his beliefs.
Riku's ambition was to explore the worlds outside of this dull and boring island. There were many cases of the existence of a greater outside world, though his questions began long ago. He tells the tale of a man who used to live on the island but disappeared without a trace.
Ever since then, Destiny Island encountered many strange figures that clearly came from the outside world. Sora, never paid any mind to it…but even then he could only beam with excitement and curiosity with every word Riku has said.
Then…came Kairi.
Kairi has no recollection of where she came from, or how she even got here…only her name, just like Sora & Shiro. It was clear she wasn't born here, either. Piece by piece however, she's been trying to remember everything about her home. She says that she's contempt with living here on the islands…
But…what of her original home? Could it be possible to see it again? Her friends? Her family? What…was her life like beyond these islands? These are questions…that she herself can't answer…and deep within…WANT to answer.
Nevertheless, this oddball group of 7 treat each other like a family…far more than their own, be it biological or adopted. There's nothing that will separate them apart and soon…they will depart on their most ambitious adventure yet.
To which our story continues here, in the next section of the island, the seaside.
"SORA, SORA! JUST WAIT UP!" Kairi yells out as she tiredly darted through the shores. Soon, she found Sora, and two other girls simply relaxing on the beach...watching the tranquil ocean blue waves.
One of which…is Sora's mischievous counterpart, Shiro, who is relaxing on her lawnchair, and shinning the light of the sun upon her fur in order to obtain a tan.
"Ayyy, Kairi! Wanna smoothie? I know y'want to~" Shiro says as she offers the girl her nearly empty coconut beverage. Kairi looks at the little rabbit in confusion.
"There's…BARELY anything in there, though." Kairi says.
"Really?" Shiro says as she looks to her drink. Sure enough, it was indeed nearly empty. "Well, ya didn't ask fast enough, so that's on you!" Shiro retorts before finishing her drink. Kairi simply rolled her eyes and smirked as she looked to the mouse.
"And what happened to checking on the raft?" Kairi asks, playfully.
"Oh, well we were…BUT looks like it's that time again!" Sora says, happily, earning a confused look on Kairi.
"What time?" Kairi asks.
"To see which one's coming outta the water first between Tidus & Wakka!" Selphie replies as Kairi joined them on the floor.
"Tidus & Wakka are…underwater? As in…Blitzball, right?" Kairi asks.
"Yep! Tidus has been begging for a rematch, all day, and finally they're dukin' it out for the title of 'ULTIMATE BLITZBALL CHAMPION!' Shiro announced loudly as she took out a megaphone from her Hammerspace.
"Or so Tidus says!" Sora says with a cheeky grin before Kairi could only focus on the water…with concern in their eyes.
"How…long have they been down there?" Kairi asks.
"About a while now!" Selphie replied.
"And…you're sure they're okay, down there?" Kairi asks.
"Y'see, Kai, one of the requirements for Blitzball is bein' able to hold their breath underwater for a LOOOOOOONG period of time. And since those two can hold their breaths longer than anyone here, I'd like to say they're DEFINITELY okay, down there!" Sora explains.
Keep in mind, that Kairi knows nothing about the activities the islanders do, so whatever occurrences are happening during 'Blitzball' is beyond her. She watches the sea intently...hoping for something to come out.
Underwater
Deep...in the very floor of the great ocean that connects the islands and the homelands...one boy sits down...in tire. It is Tidus...simply holding his breath, as he possibly could...almost as if he's breathing underwater. With his cheeks puffed up...and his eyes closed...the boy was cautiously waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
His eyes...soon snapped open. His challenger approaches with blitzball at hand. Two goals were across from each other, one on one side, and one on the other side. Wakka, looking at the sandy-haired boy smugly, while his cheeks puffed swirls the blitzball around his finger. Tidus soon approached Wakka.
The two boys gave each other a nod. Soon, Wakka threw the ball sky high to the point of it BARELY rising from the water. Tidus was the first to swim charge at the ball, delivering a powerful dive kick, making the ball speed to the goal at the quickest pace imaginable.
Wakka, swam forward and caught the ball with his hands quick, before it could reach the goal. The impact was so powerful, that the boy's body almost inched so close to the goal. Tidus was impressed by that catch.
Wakka made a break for it, for HIS goal, before Tidus blocked him from going any further.
In this Spirian traditional game, Blitzball usually has a large set of teammates from every angle, with a complete total of 8 players: three fielders, one goalkeeper, and four defenders.
However, due to the others not knowing how to play or want to play, it only falls on Tidus vs Wakka. A solo on each team, making it a little bit more difficult to get to the goal without anyone passing.
Regardless of the lack of team, Wakka and Tidus persevere through it. Doing so, the red-haired boy threw the ball above the sandy-haired boy, and then swam BELOW the boy claiming the ball and throwing it to his goal. Wakka scores.
It seems, Tidus is agitated. There's no telling just how long they've been down here, but it's clear that Tidus has really been getting beaten by Wakka constantly at this game. Wakka only smirked playfully as he tauntingly twirled the ball around his finger.
Irritated, Tidus swam to him, clearly wanting another round. Wakka simply shrugs and threw the Blitzball sky high, once more. And once again, Tidus charged at the ball, and kicked it with all his might to his goal. The red-haired boy was so quick on his job, grabbing the ball once more, this time Tidus charged at Wakka.
Wakka...simply swam out of the way, at ease, causing Tidus to swim and stumble to the goal, giving Wakka the perfect opportunity to swim right for Tidus' goal, throwing it in, giving him another point. Tidus was furious.
Keep in mind, that this kept happening again, and again, and again. No matter what tactics Tidus uses, Wakka was one step ahead. There was no score board...but I think it's clear that Wakka's score is higher than Tidus' The sandy-haired kid was growing irritated to the point of his face turning red, bubble started to foam, and giving one big...
"GAAAAAAAHHHH!" The boy yelled out in frustration. Big mistake. The boy clamped his mouth shut, gasping for air, as his next course of action is swimming back to the surface. The boy, in such a haste darted up high for air, as Wakka was left there only to shake his head in disapproval at the boy.
The Surface
"GAHHHHHH!" Tidus screamed out looking like a mess. His face was red with anger, he was coughing and gagging water, and he even took Kairi, and Selphie by surprise and shock, as they only looked at the wet angry kid.
"Oooooooh~" Sora & Shiro meanwhile, looked in awe as if they were clearly watching a show.
"Whatever happened down there must've been rough." Shiro says casually as she drinks her coconut juice.
In a fit of frustration, Kairi snatched the coconut from the rabbit and poured the juice all over her fur, taking the two toons by surprise. "H-HEY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Shiro calls out, but Kairi was already darting to the boys.
Sora simply blinks at his sister. "I was kinda hopin' to get a drink."
"I'm sure there's a drop for ya, somewhere." Shiro says in annoyance as she presented her empty cup.
"TIDUS! WAKKA, ARE YOU TWO ALRIGHT?!" Kairi called out, completely concerned for the two boy's health. Soon, casually coming up from the water comes Wakka, as he gracefully spit water out like a fountain.
"WE'RE FINE, KAIRI, WE'RE FINE...Or at least I WOULD BE FINE IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM!" Tidus yelled out earning a playful smirk from Wakka.
"Towel?" Both Sora & Shiro say in unison as they zipped to Tidus' side before even Kairi could. They both presented to the drenched humans towels, to which Tidus snatched the one from Sora's gloved hands.
"DUDE! How? HOW are you so good? WE SHOULD BE AT LEAST EQUAL, HERE! What's your secret? There's GOTTA be a secret, dude! C'MON TELL ME!" Tidus challenged to Wakka, as the red-haired boy only nodded his head no.
"Nah, bruh, there's no secret. The only secret I've got here...is practicing. You should try that too, sometimes?" Wakka says sarcastically as he took the towel from Shiro's gloved hands.
"I DO PRACTICE! I practice all day and all night, dude, even you should know that! It's not my practicing here dude it's...IT'S JUST YOU'RE TOO GOOD AT THAT!" Tidus yelled out.
"Do I detect a hint of jealosy~?" Sora pipes up, making the sandy-haired boy even more enraged.
"STAY OUTTA THIS, MOUSE!" Tidus exclaims.
"Bruh, I train, the same way you train. It's just...I've got a little more experience." Wakka simply says as he casually places his arms behind his forehead.
"EXPERIENCE! GRRRRRRRRR...WELL S-SO DO I! M-MY FATHER'S A WORLD CHAMPION BLITZBALL PLAYER! If anything, I should have more experience than you, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!" Tidus yelled out as Sora, Selphie, and Kairi simply watches as the arguments unfold.
"Wow, Tidus and Wakka are really going at it, huh?" Selphie asks.
"I know...kinda reminds me of a certain two." Kairi says as she looks at Sora & Shiro. The two look at the girl with confusion.
"...What?" The twins say in unison.
"Well, it checks out, since those two are both FUCKING INSANE, on top of it." A new voice chimes in. Everyone turned to see a silver-haired boy approaching them.
A boy with silver hair, wearing a yellow and black top with black X straps, black pants with blue overalls, black leather gloves, and white and blue sneakers.
Their more 'mature' friend, Riku.
"RIKU!" Sora says as he approached him… before the silver-haired boy grabbed the mouse by the tail.
"Listen, I doubt anyone's got a leash on you, Sora, BUT AT LEAST TRY TO KEEP THAT SIS OF YOURS UNDER CONTROL! One moment she's gone, the next, another damn explosion in the marketplace." Riku complains.
"Whaaaaaa? It was just that one time! Besides, the apple vendor was lookin' at me funny." Shiro interjects earning a laugh from Sora.
"Babysitting the both of you's hell…" Riku sighs as both Sora & Shiro leaps into the silver-haired boy's hands.
"Awwww, but you know you love us~" Sora coos.
"And who could EVER hate such adowable faces like these~?" Shiro coos before both the toons looked at the boy with big puppy-dog eyes.
"Awwwwww~" Selphie says as her eyes shined, captivated by the toons' adorable nature. Riku only rolled his eyes…
"ACK/HEY!" And dropped the two toons, abruptly.
"Yo, Riku, brah, how's it hanging, man?" Wakka asks.
"So, do I get a thank you or ANYTHING?" Riku asks as everyone looks at him in confusion.
"A thank you for...what, dude? What have you done today?" Tidus asks as Riku only rolled his eyes at the sandy-haired wet boy.
"What have Idone today? FAR more than all of you, that's for damn sure. While all of you were slacking off and playing Blitzball, you'll be happy to know that I finished building the raft." Riku explained.
"HEY! WE WEREN'T PLAYING BLITZBALL, RIKU...we were perfecting our skills. There's a difference." Tidus asserts.
"So, you admit you were slacking off, brah?" Wakka asks playfully.
"YOU'RE ONE TO TALK, MR. 'I'VE BEEN PRACTICING WHEN I WAS YOUNG, AND I'M JUST ABOUT PERFECT!'" Tidus yelled out, completely glaring daggers at each other.
"Hehehe, you guys are so childish sometimes," Kairi says amidst her giggling.
"And you're not? You're just as childish and lazy as the sociopaths over there," Riku inquires pointing at Sora & Shiro, who only stuck out their tongues.
"So, you've noticed." Kairi says mischievously. Soon, Selphie approached the boy.
"Sooooo, how's the raft" Selphie asks as Riku gave a prideful smirk. Immediately, the two toons zipped right in front of the boy.
"Time to see it?!" Shiro asks.
"YEAH! Can we? CAN WE!?" Sora exclaims, excitedly.
"Alright, alright. I don't see why not. So long as you keep those two on a leash, I don't want them breaking the raft when it's so close to done." Riku says as he pointed to the comical dust swirling around as Wakka and Tidus were fighting.
"They really are like us, huh?" Shiro says to her brother.
"PUH-LEASE! It's not like WE fight all the time!" Sora retorts.
"Exactly! Always a chip off the ol' block, Sora." Shiro says giving her brother a playful punch on the shoulder.
"Same to you too, Shiro!" Sora says as he delivers a playful punch on the shoulder to Shiro. To which Shiro does it again…and Sore reciprocates…again…and again…
Until the two of them unleashed a comical cloud of dust of their own, as they were fighting as well. Riku could only sigh in frustration.
"It's every day with these four…" Riku sighs.
The Seaside Shores
Another eventful day throughout the Destiny Islands...another day of fun on this eventful island. As the sun was starting to shine down, and the skies begin to go from blue to orange and purple, the day is turning into night. The blissful island sunset...is a beautiful thing to admire in the great skies. However, there's one thing left to do, before the 7 would call this a night.
Riku simply took a head start while Sora, Shiro, Kairi, Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie simply followed the boy to the Seaside Shores, just passing through the jungle clearing.
Soon, making their way to the shores of the land, they look in awe as they see a medium sized raft waiting for them, with a rope tied to it and a wooden pole.
"You guys like it? It needs a few more finishing touches, but I think it's safe to say, it'll carry the 6 of us off this rock. I made sure of that using almost all the driftwood we can muster here. I want this adventure to be the best experience for all of us." Riku says as Sora, Selphie, and Kairi looks at the raft in awe.
"Wow...it's amazing..." Selphie says in awe.
"Pfft, I've seen better." Tidus says rolling his eyes.
"Blinded by the saltwater and the steamy steam of defeat to see such A TRUE ARTISAN'S WORK!" Sora says dramatically.
"Sora, I swear..." Tidus mumbles….to which Shiro zips in front of the sandy-haired boy, stopping him dead on his tracks.
"Y'know it's rather impolite to do so, but I wouldn't call myself a reliable source on that~" The rabbit says, sarcastically. This again, made the boy's blood boil.
"You all are children, man. C'mon, just chill out." Wakka intervenes calmly.
"For what it's worth, you can't say the island isn't lively with her around." Selphie piped up. Kairi nods in agreement.
"If the island isn't lively, we just find something else to do, like Blitzball. Right, Wakka?" Tidus says turning to the laid-back redhead.
"Nothin' says lively like screaming like a sore loser, am I right?" Wakka scoffs as Tidus immediately went pale-faced at that rebuttal…his finger deflated like a balloon.
"WHAT IS IT WITH ALL OF YOU, TODAY!?" Tidus exclaims.
"It's funny!" Sora says happily.
"Well, one thing's for sure…" Riku says as he sat down. "We'll find something even more lively…once we get off this island." The boy simply says as the waves began to rush down to his feet.
Soon enough, another day was beginning to pass. The sun was beginning to set, the skies grew gold, and the seas glisten with the sun's light. Everyone gathered around Riku's side. Selphie was the first to join him on the sand.
"So, Kairi's home is out there, right? And Sora & Shiro's too?" The girl couldn't help but ask. Kairi soon sat down on the raft, taking from her pockets a few collected shells.
"If all of them are any indication…it's gotta be. Sitting here on these boring shores won't get us anywhere." Riku answered.
"Lots of opportunities, are awaitin' us, friends. Just imagine what we could find out there! Treasures, knowledge…new challenges new asses to kick, oooooo~ All sorts of possibilities!" Shiro says as she was literally salivating.
"You have a thing with treasure, don't you?" Selphie says, sternly, earning a growl from the…creature.
"They're my precious!" Shiro rasped.
"Surprised that you didn't bring up any killing or fighting. You always like to bring that up." Kairi says amidst her chuckle.
"HEY! EVERY new baddie's a new challenge to get the ol' brain pumping! And you fellas know just how much I love a good ol' fashion brain teaser~" Shiro says as she presents to everyone her black & green Gag Bag.
Contained within it are tricks and treats. From simplistic cherry bombs & dynamite, to more elaborate inventions such as confetti cannons, gumball blasters, ice cream guns, the likes for japes and tricks.
"I've been inventin' all sorts of Gags, and this place is just…too quiet to test 'em out." Shiro sighs.
"Hmph. For once, I agree, Shiro. Things are a bit too quiet. Too…hollow." Riku couldn't help but say as his eyes were focused on the endless blue sea before him.
"I wonder…maybe if we cast off, maybe we'll find a whole civilization of toons like us! And maybe then, we'll have a whole party!" Sora says planting himself by Kairi's side on the raft.
"Ugh…a whole civilization of noisy, talking...things like her? Count me out." Tidus gags…but soon realized something, as he looks to the reflection of himself in the water. "Still, Riku's right. I've got my own journey, and…sitting on this dusty island won't do much." He explains.
"Exactly. We won't know, unless we find out, ourselves." Riku reminds.
"But just how far could a raft take us?" Sora asks as Selphie nodded with the mouse.
"Who knows?" Riku interjects. "If we have to, we'll…just have to think of something else."
"And…suppose we actually DO get to other worlds?" Kairi finally pipes up, with a question in mind. "What do you guys plan to do there?" Tidus smirks.
"Well, I know what I'm gonna do there." Tidus pledged. "When I get off this rock, I'm gonna find my old man. There are so many questions I got for him, and Zanarkand is the only lead I got. I just…have to find him."
"Zanarkand...I hope you find it. I heard that place is a myth, brah." Wakka says as he sat by Tidus' side.
"Once we set sail, I'll be the first to prove everyone that it's real," Tidus says determinedly. Riku soon lowers his head.
"Tidus. If anything, you're a step ahead of me. I REALLY haven't given any thought to what happens next. It's just...I've always wondered why we're here on this island. If there really are any other worlds out there, why'd we end up in this one?" Riku asks as the tropical breeze blew through his silver hair.
"It's not like we've been given a choice, man. You may see this place as a boring chunk of rock, but I know, that it's just a piece of something that's much greater, man." Wakka says shrugging it off.
"But that's just it, dude. Suppose there really are other worlds out there and suppose ours is just a little piece of something greater. We could have just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?" Riku asks.
"I dunno." Sora said dismissively leaning on the bow of the raft.
"Me neither." Shiro says laying on the sand.
"Exactly. You don't know, I don't know, none of us knows. That's why we need to go out there and find out." Riku says as he got up off his seat and stood as the sunset blasted on his face, and the waves washing through his feet.
"Sitting here, just won't change a thing. It's the same old stuff...our story doesn't change...not one bit. We're at an endless loop with no occurrences. Soon, we'll come to a point where Chocobo Racing, Blitzball...it...it just won't sustain us anymore. We can't keep staying here in this unchanged scenery. So, let's go." Riku simply says.
"Riku..." Sora simply says.
"Heavy stuff, man..." Wakka simply says.
"You've been really putting allot of thought in this lately, haven't you?" Selphie pipes up, as the breeze blows through Riku.
Riku soon turns to everyone, specifically Sora, Shiro and Kairi. The girl in question was too fixated on the shells in her hands to even notice.
"My mom would always tell stories about a mysterious man who actually lived on the island…but disappeared. I played it off as if it was some sort of ghost story, but then, Sora, Shiro and another man came to this island. Sora & Shiro stayed…but that man also disappeared, too. Then came all of you..." Riku explained.
"If it wasn't for all of you, especially you, three," Riku says looking to Kairi, Sora, and Shiro. "I don't think I'd ever would've thought about the possibilities of other worlds. We…no. I would've spent the rest of my life…in this unchanged scenery." Everyone looked at the boy in concern…as Riku simply looked down at the restless waters.
"Riku…" Shiro simply says. The boy soon turned to the little toons.
"Sora, Shiro, Kairi, thank you." He says with a smirk. With understanding, Sora couldn't help but give out a big toothy grin while Shiro give the boy a smug smirk.
"No problem!" The twins say with such a chipper vigor. Kairi, however, was busy tinkering with the shells she's collected. Selphie took notice.
"You've been awfully quiet, Kairi," Selphie says, making the red-haired girl snaps in attention.
"Oh! I-I have? Ehehehh…uh, silly me. I'm so sorry!" She says bashfully.
"Whatcha making?" Shiro says suddenly poking behind Kairi. The red-haired girl soon showed the toon her little project.
"Ever since Riku made plans for leaving the island, I've been making some good luck charms for all of us. Right now, I'm just working on my own." She explains.
"Good luck charms?" Wakka asks.
"Yeah! Made out of Thalassa Shells. Long ago, sailors would wear them and prayed for a safe trip. They prayed that no matter where they came from and where they are, they'd come back one day...to the place they called home…" Kairi explains.
"I'm not sure why we'd come back to this dump." Tidus mumbles.
"I'd say it's a nice gesture. After all…we're gonna need good luck on our journey. We don't know what dangers are gonna come to us, headfirst." Riku says cautiously.
Soon, with such a big smile on his face, Sora soon stood up from the sand, and with a flag in his gloved hand, he scurried to the top of the raft's mast and held it high. As this happens the shimmering sunset shines down on the mouse's face.
"Ah, headfirst, shmeadfirst. Together, we can overcome ANYTHING the world has in stored for us! SO, HOWSABOUT WE HAVE THE BEST JOURNEY EVER?!" Sora yelled out as he raised the flag up high.
"YEAH!" Everyone shouted out, except Riku, to which he took something out from his pocket.
"Y-HEY! W-WHOAAAAA!" Sora yelled out to which Riku threw that something right at Sora's face. This immediately made the mouse tumble back into the water.
"WIPEOUT!" Shiro announces. Soon, Sora arose from the water…with a star-shaped fruit latched onto his face like sandpaper.
"A gift for you, to me, Sora." Riku says as Sora took the star-shaped fruit off his face. He only looked at it in confusion.
"A...Paopu Fruit?" Sora asks.
"If two people share one, their hearts and their destinies will be intertwined. They'll remain apart of each other's lives, no matter what. Shouldn't you...try it out before we leave?" Riku says raising his eyebrows playfully as everyone around the boy began to giggle.
"Oooooh~who will you try it out WITH, tho?" Selphie says playfully.
"Sora, you sly dog, you." Wakka says mischievously.
"Heh, poor guy." Tidus chuckles.
"Hehehe~" Shiro couldn't help but giggle.
"Uh-uhhh..w-wait hold on, WHAT?!" Sora yelled out in complete confusion as his fur turned from cream to red.
"Y'know I could just try it out with K-" Riku says devilishly. Sora's eyes widen as he soon tucked the star-shaped fruit to his chest.
"N-NO! I-I-I-I-I-I DON'T HAVE TO EAT IT WITH SOMEONE! I-I-I-I'LL EAT IT MYSELF!" Sora retorts as he only scarfs down on the Paopu Fruit violently. Everyone simply chuckled and laughed at the boy's dismay as the night begins to creep itself in the corner.
Concluding another day of adventure…on Destiny Island.
Far Away in the Cosmos
As we close the scene on the majestic Destiny Islands, the curtains, LITERALLY, open up to an ENTIRELY different reality from Destiny Islands.
The curtains LITERALLY open up…to a far-off in a distant realm. A colorful and animated world with a sun that LITERALLY has a smile on its face. A world where trees and flowers are alive, and the birds speak full-on English.
A world…so happy, so cheerful, a world that just makes one want to…well, let us have the birds, the trees, and the flora sing about it.
Chorus
SMILE! Darn ya smile~
You know this great world is a good world after all~
SMILE! Darn ya smile~
And right away watch Lady Luck pay you a call~
Crowds of millions walk and play, meet and greet, the land, be it from this world or outside of it.
A world full where only cartoons roam. This is a land of both laughter and violence…violence because, let's be real, would you REALLY want to get hit in the head with an anvil?
Things are never black as they are painted!
Time for you and Joy to get acquainted!
Nonetheless, this was such a colorful and cartoony land filled with toons, both human, anthropomorphic, and even inanimate objects to boot. Balloons fly, every toon laughing and throwing pies, having the time of their lives in this amusement park, bathed under a smiling sun. It is the chaotic, toon-filled land...that is
Make life worthwhile~
C'mon and SMILE darn ya, Smile~!
World Name: Toontown
Toontown is not only a massive amusement park, and resort, but home to the most…silliest creatures in the cosmos. Walking amidst humans and animals of all kinds are creatures known as…Toons. Silly, cartoon characters that form into mostly anthropomorphic animals, overexaggerated-looking humans, or inanimate objects.
And lo…towering the narrow streets of Main Street U.S.A…is a shimmering silver castle, crooked in a cartoon manner…with banners flying two symbols high. One a circle with two smaller circles atop it…forming as ears. The other…a golden and crimson plaque with the initials WB.
This is Toontown Castle, home to the radiant residence of toons.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Where an explosion or two always happens every day.
"NO, NO, NOOO, YOU DOLTS!" Our story in this festive cartoon world begins in a large and crimson hall with a velvet carpet, bookshelves & paintings mounted on the walls…and a window with a view of the entire kingdom of Toontown.
This is no doubt the Castle Library.
IN the library, we see four toons covered in soot, as well as everything in proximity of the bubbling cauldron in the center of the room. One of them being the finest mage in all of Toontown – The Royal Court Mage, Donald Duck. His purple conical and blue and tunic just screams the fashion of a Wizard.
"WHAT THE HECK EVEN WAS THAT?!" Donald exclaims.
Under his tutelage are 3 young toons with heads of drinkware – a boy with a small red nose and cup for a head, another boy with a BIG blue nose and a mug for a head, and lastly, a girl with a shimmering gold chalice for a head; wearing a white toga, gold slippers, and gold glove cuffs.
"That, dear Teach, is what we call…improvision." The cup says, nonchalantly. Donald only sighs in frustration.
"That's not how improvision works, Cuphead. It's Eye of Newt and Wolfsbane. Not Eye of Newt AND WHATEVER JUNK YOU FIND IN YOUR POCKETS!" Donald scolds the three toons under his tutelage.
The chalice only glared at the cup…while the mug chuckles, bashfully.
"Ehehe, funny thing, Donald, we uh…didn't have any Wolvesbane left." Mugman confessed.
"And THAT'S where the improvision comes in, Teach! We may not have had some Wolfsbane, BUT had some leftover Bat Wool, left. Plus, I added a bit of Cherry Powder for that extra…zest. A lil' zest wouldn't kill ya, would it?" Cuphead asks.
"IT ALMOST DID, YA DING DONG!" Ms. Chalice retorts.
"Key-word, almost." Cuphead says, smugly. Donald only sighs in frustration at his students.
"Cuphead…If ya actually paid attention and read the Spellbook, then you'll know that if Wolvesbane isn't available, you use Toe of Frog." Donald explains as he placed a literal frog toad into the cauldron.
"Deeeesgusting…" Ms. Chalice says in disgust, making Donald pinch the bridge of his beak.
"Remind me again why Kettle wanted me to teach you three Magic…" Donald mumbles.
"OH! OH! Maybe it's because King Dice & the Devil hasn't been seen for a while, and Elder Kettle was getting' antsy so he wanted you to teach us some stronger Magic in case they come back?" Mugman explains, obliviously.
"A handful of Toontown villains haven't been seen in a looooong while, Mugsy. I'd like to think that they'd FINALLY got the hint that they ain't winning." Ms. Chalice says smugly as Donald wipes the soot off his face. The mage soon looks at the little Chalice.
"And why do YOU need to learn Magic? Don't ya already have more than enough spells from your Calix Animi buddies?" Donald asks the golden chalice.
"Wouldn't hurt to have a few more tricks under the belt, wouldn't ya say?" Ms. Chalice says as she summons a golden spear in a bright beam of light.
"So uh….speakin' of Devil & Dice, whattaya think happened to 'em? And all the other villains around Toontown?" Cuphead asks.
"Don't know, don't care. A day without some hair-brained invasion from Magica DeSpell, or King Salazar, or dealin' with just plain bullies like Fudd, Pete, and all those guys is a breath of fresh air." Donald says as he looks to both the window and his watch.
"WAK! 9:04 ALREADY?!" Donald exclaims as he looks at his watch in surprise.
"What's the rush, teach?" Ms. Chalice asks.
"I'm late for my morning greeting! We gotta cut today's lessons short! Remember to do your homework this time, Cuphead." Donald says hastily as he bolts out of the library.
"Hey, now THAT'S just cruel, teach!" Cuphead retorts.
"Oh yeah? Did ya do last night's homework?" Ms. Chalice asks, smugly.
"Nope!" Cuphead says confidently, before clamping his mouth shut in realization. Thus, earning a laugh from both Mugman & Ms. Chalice.
"Now, that just ain't fair!" Cuphead exclaims bashfully as the two laughed at the cup's humility.
Castle Colonnade
Regaining his composure from the stress of teaching, Donald strolls along the long velvet halls of the Colonnade, waving at all the cartoons around him, be it marching broomsticks or flying Gremlins.
Soon enough, the duck takes a stop at the gigantic double doors standing tall in the center of the Colonnade. In front of the doors were two symbols. On one door, half of the Mickey Mouse-shaped symbol, while the other door, half of the Warner Brothers plaque.
The duck simply knocks on the door, opening an even smaller door within this big door.
"What, ya think we'd actually use a door that big?" The duck asks the audience.
He enters, and inside he finds himself in the large silver halls of the castle throne room where the duck is greeted by the two statues of a mouse and a rabbit.
"Good morning, your majesties." The duck says as he continues to walk upon the velvet crimson carpet extending to the throne at the center of the hall. Unbeknownst to the duck, however…"Sorry for comin' in late. Tutoring took a bit longer than I thought. But now that I'm here, I hope you two are doing w-"
He's gazing upon the wrong person sitting on the throne.
Instead, sitting on the King's throne is a pitch-black duck adorned in a purple robe, and a crown atop his head.
"Ahhh~ if it isn't our most humble Court Magician, Donald Duck. To what do I, the TRUE King of Toontown, owe the pleasure of our most GRACIOUS meeting, this fine morning?" The duck announces eloquently.
Donald only blinks in confusion.
"Uhh…Daffy, where're the Kings?" Donald simply asks. The dramatic black duck only gasps in surprise.
"I am shocked that you'd have to ask that question! Why, you're looking at him, of course!" Daffy recoils, defensively.
Donald only gazes at the duck with a bored look in his eyes. Daffy finally quits the act.
"Alright, FINE." Daffy relents as he got off the throne and dismissed his robe and crown. "I didn't see ol' Bugsy or Mick this morning, so I've decided to take it upon my OWN hands to rule the Kingdom."
"You do realize Queen Minnie wouldn't want that, right?" Donald asks.
"….That maybe true, but still." Daffy bolsters. Donald only rolls his eyes.
Normally any attempts to usurp the rulers would resolve in quite a messy business, but Donald knows better because…he's talking to a moron.
"I don't need to my character to be besmirched by some no-account narrator!" Daffy asserts as Donald only pinches the bridge of his beak.
"DAFFY!" Donald exclaims, gaining the duck's attention. "WHERE ARE THE KINGS?!"
"Look, ya lil' pristine-white bundle of joy. I'm sure what you're worrying about is nothing short of a short trip. King Bugs and or King Mickey'll be back before you know it. Now run along, and do…whatever you Court Magicians do." Daffy assures as he escorts Donald out of the throne room.
But not until both birds head a muffled…
"BLAGHAAAABLABLBLBLLBLALAAA!"
"Was that…Taz?" Donald asks. This made Daffy tense up, easily.
"O-of course not! You must be hearing the wind!" Daffy stammers.
"BLAGHAAAABLABLBLBLLBLALAAA!"
Before either of them could get a word in edge-wise, a brown tornado spun from behind the dual thrones. Immediately, said tornado stopped hurling two creatures from out of it. A grey-furred cat and a brown mouse.
And in place of the tornado? An enraged Tasmanian Devil with rope gripped in his razor-sharp teeth. It was the King Bugs' royal, trusted, and…EXTREMELY hostile companion – Taz the Tasmanian Devil.
The two toons that Taz spat out was none other than two castle residence, Tom & Jerry. Two toons locked in a never-ending war to outwit each other.
"YOU TIED UP TAZ?!" Donald exclaims.
"…..He was in the wrong place at the wrong time." Daffy lies.
"BLAAAAAGHBLBLAALLBAHHHH!" Taz screams out as he forms into a miniature tornado and immediately darted at Daffy. Donald quickly got out of the way, but Daffy…well he wasn't able to escape the miniature tornado.
Evidently, Taz spits Daffy out completely featherless.
"Some loyal vassal YOU all turn out to be…" Daffy mutters as Donald only sighs. Just a normal day of mayhem in Toontown. But the mayhem wasn't over.
Tom & Jerry simply looked at each other…before Tom took from his Hammerspace a mallet to slam Jerry with. And Jerry? He simply took from HIS Hammerspace a small turquois box with a button atop it. He presses the button…
CLANG!
And a safe fell on the Tom Cat. With the right combination, Jerry simply set the cat free. Only for Tom to immediately snatch the mouse up…but quick as butter, the mouse slipped out of his paws and scurried out of the throne room with Tom following him.
The chase continues…as Donald only pinches the bridge of his beak.
"Note to self – lock up the throne room." Donald sighs.
"Don't I have a say in this?" The bald Daffy asks.
"No." Donald says bluntly.
"WOOF! WOOF!"
Soon, the Tasmanian Devil and the two ducks looked to see a golden dog peering from behind the throne. In his grip there seems to be…a letter.
The dog raced to the pristine-white duck with a note gripped in the dog's teeth. It was the Mouse King's royal pet, Pluto. Evidently, the royal dog only glared at Daffy.
"Lemme guess…you tied Pluto up, too." Donald effortlessly hypothesized. Daffy only gives a wide grin.
"…..Eheheheh..." Daffy chuckles bashfully as the Duck Mage approached Pluto.
"Whacha got there, boy?" Donald asks as the two pets finally approached him. Immediately, Donald grabbed the note in the dog's mouth. He opened it and read.
Three seconds. All it took was three seconds, until…
"WAAAAAAAAAK! WAA-WAAAAAAAAAK! WAAAAAAAAAAAAK!" The duck suddenly went into hysterics and quacked his trademark quack as he barreled out of the throne room.
Leaving the Pluto, Taz, and Daffy in the room.
"What his problem?" Taz growled.
"Odder than me, that's for sure." Daffy simply says.
Castle Gardens
Our story continues in the Castle Gardens. A massive hedge maze throughout the lush field of green…and a golden Bugs Bunny fountain just in the center of the maze.
Throughout the courtyard there are trimmings of silly cartoons; a fine garden. It took a lot of effort to replicate the Daisy Gardens, but the effort was worth it…just to see such a majestic display.
In the Garden are two buck-toothed dogs and a pig in the center of the gardens. The tallest toon was adorned in a knight's helmet, an orange jumpsuit, shimmering silver sabatons, a singular gauntlet…and a tiny knight's helmet atop his head. In his gloved hands a large circular shield.
The teenage toon had similar apparel. He has shimmering silver sabatons & two knight's gauntlets, just like his father. Only he was wearing an orange sweater and jeans. This one had two smaller shields, both strapped to his elbows.
Relaxing on the hedges is the pig adorned in a blue tunic and a poofy blue hat with goggles. By his side is a shimmering blue spellbook with the WB insignia on the center of the book.
It was the Captain of the Royal Guards, Goofy; with him was his son, Max Goof, a Royal Guard in training. Watching their training session is the Grand Scholar, Porky Pig.
A dummy stands before Max. And in the dummy's hands are two buckets held up high.
"Alrighty, Maxie, remember what I taught ya! Focus on nothin' else but the buckets. Grip the shields tightly, and throw when you're ready." Goofy instructed as Max did as his father said and focused.
The young boy gave deep breath…and sighed. Soon he gripped both his teeth and his weapon…and charged forth.
"GAAAAAAHHHHH!" A battle cry was heard throughout the Garden as he rushed towards the scarecrow. The moment he approached the dummy was the moment delivered a mighty upper slash.
"HA!" He cries out.
CLANG!
Cleanly, slashed the bucket out of the scarecrow's left hand as he was still in the air, aiming at the right hand.
"Way to go, Maxie! Now comes the hard part. Remember what Donald taught ya, you've gotta actually focus. Concentrate on nothin' but your target." Goofy explains as his son did so, while in the air.
"Right! Focus…focus…" Max says as he was in deep thought about his next move. At that moment the boy's lance glowed a shimmering green glow as wind gathered around it.
"Now call out that spell!" Soon…he calls out his next attack.
"TRUE THRUST!" Max calls out has he hurls his lance with the wind as its guide. Unfortunately, His face immediately drooped as he saw the lance flying past the bucket…
CLANK!
"BAAWK! BAWK BAWK BAWWWWWWWK!" And instead, such a powerful attack cleanly sheered one of the hedges manned the Castle Gardener, Clara Cluck.
Daisy, meanwhile, couldn't help but laugh at the commotion going on in front of her.
"A-hyuk! SORRY, CLARA!" Goofy calls out as both he and Max chuckles bashfully. Clara only mumbles and squawks in annoyance as she continues tending to the toony topiary. Max, meanwhile could only look in disappointment.
"Aw, doncha worry, Max. You'll get it next time." Goofy says as he approaches his son.
"It…just doesn't feel like I'm getting any better, dad. At this rate, I'll NEVER be a Royal Guard." Max says in frustration.
"Aww, you're just bein' too hard on yourself. What, ya think yer old man rose to Captain in a day? These kinds of things take time, Maxie." Goofy assures.
"Eh, if it's any uh, c-c-con-conso-consola-consolation, Max, I-I-I've been seeing a lot of improvement since day 1." Porky adds on.
"You really think so, Porky?" Max couldn't help but ask.
"Of course! Eh, y-y-you've been using all kinds of u-un-unique ways to use your shield, maybe even better than either of us. U-U-U-U-Using your shields as a skateboard, as a disk, you're fighting style's really turning out to be v-ve-versa-ehhhh versatile!" Porky compliments.
"Y'know, I think He's right!" Goofy says happily. Max couldn't help but look at both Porky and his father with such…a hopeful gleam in his eyes. To think…he has such support all around.
"PORKY! GOOFY!" Exclaims a new voice. Still, in a frantic fit, Donald sped through the gardens. Out of breath, the duck approaches the three toons.
"Oh, g-g-g-good morning, D-D-D-D-D-D-D-" The pig tries to greet amidst his stutter, but the duck clamped his mouth shut in annoyance.
"Alright, alright, slow down before ya hurt yourself," Donald says as he got closer to the pig. "Now listen boys, we've got a serious problem. But ya can't tell ANYONE." Donald says in a hush-hush tone.
"Queen Minnie?" Goofy asks. Donald nods his head in disagreement.
"Not even the Queen should know." Donald asserts.
"Uh, Donald?" Max soon pipes up. "I dunno about you, but don't you think it's…y'know…WRONG to keep secrets from the Queens of Toontown?
"EH, H-H-HE'S RIGHT!" Porky exclaims, frantically. "We can't just keep secrets to the Queens! Eh, d-d-do you know what they'll do to us? We'll end up being banished into another eh, di-dimeeeeen-dimensin-dimension! OR BEHEADED!" Porky exclaims, earning a gulp from Goofy.
"Gawrsh, y'know, I think Porky's right, Donald. You uh…can't forget what happened to Pete…" Goofy says, fearfully.
E-e-e-EXACTLY!" Porky exclaims. "Look, eh, d-d-d-D-D-Donald, we're all Toons, here. whatever's eating you, you have to eh, t-t-t-tell the Queen. It-it's-it's the right thing to do."
"Since when do you care about what's right?" Donald said glaring at Porky as he popped the halo, like a bubble. "ABSOLUTELY NO ONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS! END! OF! DISCUSSION!" Donald announced.
"Uh, Donald?" Max starts.
"WHAT?!" Donald exclaims as he looks to where Max was pointing. Even whiter than a ghost, the pale-faced duck mage looked to see said maidens looking at him, credulously.
Clara Cluck, for one. Alongside her is Daffy, the Lady-in-Waiting, Daisy Duck…and the radiant Minnie Mouse – the Queen of Toontown.
"Y'know you ain't good at keeping secrets, Donald. You're too loud." Daisy says casually as the white duck chuckled bashfully.
"Bawk, bawk, bawwwwk." Clara clucks, skeptically.
"Quite true, Clara. It must be an important one if it means keeping it from me, of all people." Minnie says in suspicion.
"Eheh…uhhh, well," Donald babbled.
"Is there something you'd like to share with us, Donald?" The Queen asks sternly. Donald sighs.
"Oh uh...u-um..." Donald says, stammering.
"Oh, Donald. How I hardly knew thee," Daffy says taking off his archer hat in mourning. Donald only smacked his head in frustration.
"Well, your Majesty…it's like this." Donald starts.
