His knuckles had practically gone white with the death grip he had on the steering wheel. He had never been so nervous. No, he wasn't nervous. He was terrified. When she asked him to come over its been a week since she got home from Hungary from a gymnastics meet , he hadn't thought anything of it until those four little words fell from her lips. The four words that sent him into a tailspin as he felt his heart stop. "We need to talk"
The apprehension in her voice had told him that this wasn't going to be pretty. He knew things were going well between them. He couldn't help but think that maybe he was wrong.

Her hands were shaking as she paced back and forth through her living room. Where the hell was, he? He said he would be here at 8:00pm. That was 20 minutes ago. She knew she had made him nervous on the phone, but she didn't care. She had been a ball of nerves all week since Hungary as she tried to figure out how to have this conversation. This was the last thing she wanted to be doing tonight but it had to be done. She just hoped that this wasn't the end. She was ripped from her thoughts when she heard him knock on the front door. She turned to open the door letting him in.

"Sorry I'm late. There was an accident, so traffic was bad," he explained as he put his car keys on the hooks by the door.

"It's okay. I'm just glad you're here," she said as she walked over to him. She could practically feel the tension growing in the room. He met her halfway and immediately wrapped his arms around her. She melted into his embrace, she needed this. After a moment he pulled away and looked her in the eyes.

"You said we needed to talk. Is everything alright?" he asked her. She took a deep breath and tried to figure out how the hell she was going to get through this without losing it.

"Everything's fine. I just something happened in Hungary I got some news I wanted to share -" she falters as her words fail her. She grabbed his hand and started walking them toward her bedroom.

"Em what is it? You're starting to scare me what happened in Hungary?" he asked as they stopped at the foot of her bed.
